Hate to sound like a cheapskate, stopped in for a couple of sandwiches the other day, ordered two regular cold sandwiches on regular bread, nothing special. The young lady asked if I wanted the combo I said sure why not all of a sudden it's just over $24 for two sandwiches and two small bags of chips and two drinks Wow!, I could have gone to California Grill!! I saw reviews and thought I'd try the place out. I arrived on a Saturday at 2:46pm. A hand written sign on the door said they are closing at 3pm that day. I pull the door and it was locked. I looked in and see a worker at the register. I point to my watch and she holds up 3 fingers saying they are closed at 3pm. I hold up 3 fingers and say it's not 3pm yet. She shrugs her shoulders and ignores me. Don't care how good people say the sandwiches are, rude staff and bad service will loose my business every time. Never going to come back. If you say you are going to close at 3pm, then close at 3pm, and 15 mins before. read more

I was recommended to try this place out by one of the nearby businesses that I was visiting. Pretty typical sandwich shop. I ordered an egg salad sandwich. It was light so for those who are more health conscious this might be something you'd want to try. My boyfriend ordered their BBQ beef sandwich (I think that's what it's called). That was delicious! Full of flavor and very satisfying. I think this place is worth the try if you're craving sandwiches. There's a good variety of them. Pretty decent turkey sandwich but I was grossly overcharged. I got two turkey sandwiches on French roll (so it's not very big) a baked potato w butter sour cream chives and cheese (which there was no cheese) so basic baked potato, a bag of chips and drink. My total was $32!!!! Asked for pickles. Didn't get any. I had high hopes based on the reviews here but the older gentleman that took my order must be wrong. Quality meats, quality products and great staff what else can you ask for. Try the pastrami, The Sonny and my favorite The Labron sandwich there's nothing like it. Thought this place would be good considering it's in the famous Whittier Uptown near Whittier College but it's about as good as Subway. Waited an hour for my BBQ Chicken Sandwich (which I also mentioned to have condiments and such on it) and get a flat bread with dry chicken and so much BBQ sauce like... if that sandwich hadn't had the sauce it would have been as dry as the Sahara desert. Mr. Sandwich is one of the few ways to get me to not eat what i took for lunch and go out and buy lunch instead. I've tried their pastrami (pretty damn good), their bbq Chicken Sandwich (with the coleslaw! trust me), and their turkey & bacon Club (OMG! delish!!) It is on the pricey side for a sandwich (subway/quiznos/togos are just a little bit cheaper) but it's well worth it! read more

A hidden gem, this place is a really good local sandwich shop. Their budget sandwiches are a little bigger than a 6 inch subway sandwich so they're we'll worth the price. They assemble the ingredients fresh there, slicing ingredients when they're ordered, instead of having those presliced ingredients that sit out.
