The service here is just awful. I keep going back because the boba is the only good thing about this place. Not the employees nor management is ever friendly or accommodating. There could be a line of 10 people and only 1 employees taking order and making drink while the other employees is in the back talking on the phone (while the long line of customers can clearly see). This is just one of the bad experiences I've had on 12/29/23 at 1pm. It took 30 minutes to get 2 drinks. Not an over exaggeration on the 30 minutes but actually 30 minutes. Went in on a Saturday and tried out there smoothies. I got the peach and the mango smoothies. The peach smoothie tasted and had the consistency of a slushy. It wasn't bad but it wasn't a smoothie which was disappointing. The mango one definitely tasted and had more of a smoothie like consistency. I really think they're missing out not selling food. Also, no ability to order online? That for me is another big missed opportunity. I'm willing to give them another shot with a proper boba tea drink so far though I'm not impressed. Came here today to try them out for the first time and I was amazed. I ordered the oolong milk tea with brown sugar boba and 50% sweetness. The boba was very fresh and delicious. They make it in house and no preservatives. The tea tasted fragrant and the milk was very creamy and almost frothy. Can't wait to go here more often on my way home!! read more

We are regulars at this boba business, come here at least four times a month. They are not the friendliest but the drinks are decent for the area. We live very close to this business. They never greet you. We always say hi first. They don't let you modify anything so this hole time we ask do an extra cup for our little one to dump his drink in avoiding the boba. We have ALWAYS asked for the extra cup and they have always been k to provide us with it. Well today we went and with an attitude the woman said. No, we never give cups! After we just spent $49! 4 drinks and 2 boba plushies. Cheap people. So after all this time money spent here you tell me policy changed but you tell me this with an attitude? Do yourself a favor and drive an extra five minutes and do to DeLuna Cafe. Amazing service and amazing drinks. We will not be back and give our money and business to this location. Mr Sun Tea is your typical boba shop. A fun stop to get a quick drink with some friends or just to stop in for a refresher on your own. A friend and I sat in here for an hour just having a nice convo and it was a really chill vibe in there. You order on your own and the drinks were done super fast. I got a blueberry green tea with cheese foam and it was pretty good! Had a very strong blueberry flavor, so the cheese foam was perfect to balance it out. The only reason I'm not giving this place a 5 is because the menu has somewhat limited flavors in comparison to other places I've been to. I'm from Berkeley (Telegraph Ave literally has a minimum of 18 boba shops on it) and comparing this menu to the majority of the shops there, it was lacking a bit. I've still consistently been coming to this boba place as it's still my favorite. Came in today and looks like they made some changes to their menu where you're unable to remove or change toppings in drinks. So whatever is on the menu is what you get and you can't customize it. I used to get a milk tea without one of the listed toppings and cashier (looked like a manager or the owner) said I was unable to. Asked if I could get a mango smoothie and switch the Crystal boba for regular boba, or just remove the Crystal boba overall and she rudely stated "I can't change or remove toppings". My wonder is what if someone is allergic or has dietary restrictions to certain toppings? This was not an issue before and I am curious what made this change. Flavor wise, still my #1 boba shop. Hands down, thee BEST boba tea I've ever had. Oh my gosh... it's amazing. The boba taste fresh and homemade. When I saw that they had different flavors for their boba I thought it would be the popping boba that I don't really care for. I am so happy I tried it any way. It's regular boba but with different flavors and it's AMAZING!! My husband is not a tapioca pearl fan at all but he can stomach the popping boba. He ordered his drink thinking it was popping boba but instead it was flavored tapioca pearls. He LOVED it. He drunk his entire drink (including the boba) before we could even make it home and we don't live very far away. Lol We are going to be here a lot. So.. this place is actually quite excellent. Tried the Taro fresh milk with boba which was not overly sweet and had what seemed to be real taro blend; the boba had a good sweetness, but could've been a little less soggy. On the advice of my friend, I also tried the Mr. Sun Green Tea which initially tasted like sarsaparilla to me (I haven't had Heineken in years) and was fizzy and refreshing; the crystal boba was on par with other places. This place is pretty good so far. I got the Coffee Jelly Milk Tea. It has a stronger tea flavor than most places which I like and the coffee jelly is tasty and has a softer texture. The coffee itself could be stronger. At 100% sweetness the drink is not too sweet and is actually a bit refreshing. My girlfriend got Mr. Sun Special Strawberry Boba which tasted kind of like strawberry milk. It was also pretty tasty. Overall the workers seemed friendly and the drinks are unique. After eating at Tasty Pot I was so happy to see a new boba spot open up right across from the parking lot. It used to be a Quickly when I used to go in my high school days, so the interior was very nostalgic to me. Walking in, it had the same interior as Quickly but had a more cleaner and modern(?) look. I liked how they emphasize their handmade boba since you can watch them make it behind the glass as you wait for your drink. Ordering my drink however, was a bit of a hassle since I wasn't able to customize the toppings in the Mr. Sun Special and the matcha smoothie. They said those drinks had fixed toppings. It kind of disappointed me but I ordered them anyway. The special came with crystal boba and the smoothie came with matcha jelly. I wasnt a fan of the matcha jelly and wished I could have gotten boba instead. The special however, the crystal boba actually added a good texture to the drink without being overpowering. It was a milk slush that kind of reminded me of the filipino dessert halo halo. I can see why they have fixed toppings for some drinks since it ensures the quality of it. This is my first time going to Mr Sun Tea up here in Sacramento. First off, the shop is super cute and the workers are really sweet; they were very kind in showing which drinks we were looking for! However, the drinks we received were not very great. The Rainbow Milk Tea was 25% sweet, but there was little to no black tea flavor at all. Usually at 25% sweetness I would expect the tea to be stronger, just less sweet. I asked the worker if they had any matcha milk teas and she recommended the matcha jelly milk tea....it's not matcha milk tea; it's just the lacky black milk tea with matcha jelly... Maybe I should've been more attentive, but I was just expecting a matcha milk tea lol ;-; We added boba to both of the drinks and man, they were very hard and almost undrinkable. What more can you ask for? I've tried a variety of drinks from elk grove, and roseville locations too and this is personally my favorite go to, best part.. its in Natomas. Boba prices are fairly priced considering some drinks are including the boba as well! I usually order the green tea mango and it's always the nice refreshing tea drink that always leaves me with the same satisfaction. Customer service has been pretty good as well, it's not as bad as T4 or T18 nearby, or quicklys as well. My usual go to was T18 back then, but it's overhyped now and I'd rather spend my 20+ min waiting over there for any order at Mr. Sun Tea, it'd be like 5 minutes top varying on the businees of the drink bistro. I don't normally drink boba, but this is definitely the best boba spot I've ever been to!!! Drinks - It was a really hot day when I went, and all the drinks I tried were really refreshing. We tried Golden Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, Mango Boba Milk Tea, and Mr. Sun Green Tea w/ non-alcohol Heineken (my favorite!!!). Wow, I can't speak more highly of the latter. It had the Heinken flavor, but was way more refreshing. You get to choose the sweetness and amount of ice, which I appreciate since I prefer the lighter side. Ambience - very clean and organized layout. I like the color scheme. There's also a big teddy bear, which is fun for the kids and offers a fun vibe. Very family friendly! Staff - Super friendly!! The staff were very knowledgable about the orders. They also gave us some free passion fruit boba, which was yummy. Neighborhood - Really easy to park. Also near other Asian eateries, which makes it a nice spot for a Sunday meal + drink. The flavors taste good and I appreciate the many different flavors and combinations from smoothies, special drinks, to iced teas and flavored teas. I like a boba place that has a big variety of flavor offerings. The thing that annoyed me about this place is the lack of drink customization. They advertised in store to "pick your own drinks and pick your own toppings." I'm not a big fan of their handcrafted crystal balls. I prefer the traditional black bobas. When I wanted to order their white peach smoothie that comes with the crystal balls, I asked the employees if I can substitute the crystal ball for the regular black bobas. They said no they can't do that. Then I asked if they can just omit the crystal balls from my drink and they still said no they can't do it. It boggles me that they can't do something as simple as not adding the crystal balls in. I'm not asking them to change the formula of my drink but to simply not add in the crystal ball and they refused. Simply put, although their drinks are good, I won't be coming back to this place. There's a lot of boba places over town that offers great drinks and actually customizes your drinks they way you like it who also don't false advertised!
