Went on Tuesday morning, place was packed so had to wait around 15 minutes, well worth the wait. Staff is super friendly and place is very clean and cozy. My server was very kind and checked on regularly. They won't let your coffee run out. It was busy so had to wait for my food but food came out hot and fresh. Reasonably priced and good size portions. A hidden gem! My all-time breakfast spot in the area. I would give them 5 stars, but the hours are too short. The food is excellent. I usually go with the French toast, and so does the family. All except 1, their pick is the strawberry waffles. The Cinnamon rolls are the size of your face...lol. I also picked up a couple of slices of pie for the review. The old-fashioned apple pie and strawberry rhubarb were the flavors I chose. Both were delicious and fresh! The service has always been amazing. Friday, mid morning breakfast. No waiting, our server came to ask if we had questions or were ready to order. I chose the Hobo Scramble with sourdough toast, my son had the Spinach omelette with gluten free toast. I had milk and my son had coffee. With the exception of the gluten free toast, everything exceeded our expectations. My scramble was just the right mix of red potatoes, fresh peppers and onions, crispy bits of bacon, eggs cooked perfectly and then topped with Tilamook cheese, sour cream and fresh chives. I don't believe I could have done better at home. My milk was cold, served with my breakfast and the staff refilled water and coffee two or three times. My son's omelette must have been delicious, he ate every bite and left some nice looking hash browns behind. I would definitely recommend this Cafe to anyone! read more

Came in to try the new dinner menu, it was delicious. Had the cheese curd appetizer which was served hot and fresh with the cheese melted perfectly, so good! Also shared a cup of the chicken soup with my husband, which made me wish I had ordered the bowl because it was delicious. For our main dish we shared the pot roast off the new dinner menu and it was wonderful. Better than my grandma makes, moist and fall-apart in your mouth, perfect gravy, loved it. The service was fantastic. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed and appreciated. Our server, Layla, was the best. She was so sweet and genuinely friendly, anticipated our needs so well and was attentive without being intrusive. It had been so long since we had such wonderful service we left her an obscenely large tip, and she deserved every penny. I ordered a two egg breakfast over medium eggs, crispy, hashbrowns, crispy, bacon, sourdough toast. My son ordered biscuits and gravy, side of hashbrowns and my daughter ordered the children's pancake and egg breakfast. I was incredibly disappointed that my hashbrowns were raw in the middle, but crispy on the outside as were the side that we ordered. My son's gravy was cold and my sourdough toast had so much butter on it. I couldn't even eat it. My daughter's pancake tasted burnt. For being as busy and popular as this place is, I was extremely surprised at the lack of quality from the food that were served to us. I haven't gone out to eat in a while and was excited for this meal. The waitress was extremely nice when I explained to her my disappointment. She offered to reheat the hashbrowns get me more toast, and reheat the gravy. I declined as my kids were eating their food regardless because they're hungry and their kids. I also don't like to send food back for fear of it not being managed properly. Again, the waitress was beautiful kind and very nice. Rather than offering to take some thing off of my bill, she gave me a $10 gift certificate which I said no thank you too as I don't want to come back to a restaurant that serves raw food even if specifically asked for it to be cooked extra. I'm glad other people have had success here. I will not be back. It's unfortunate that I ordered the most basic breakfast meal and it still was disappointing. Well kept restaurant with a local theme that fits in with the community. Polite service but Like most breakfast spots it gets crowded on the weekends so expect a long wait. I especially like the fact that they use an online reservation system that you can sing in from home or your phone and watch where you are in the cue so you don't have to be on site. So this was my first time here and I chose this cafe since it was close to my wife's job and she's been here before and enjoyed her meal. We ordered the fish and chips as well as the Kentucky club. Both these dishes come with unlimited fries but I opted for the onion rings with my fish at an added cost. My wife loved her sandwich but my fish wasn't what I expected. He referred Speedway Café to us and we could not be happier we gave this place a try. My husband ordered the traditional eggs Benedict with a side of buckwheat pancake and I ordered the fried chicken steak with hash browns and biscuits. The hash browns are sooooo good!!! They come with onions, green onions and cheese!!! It tastes very very good. The fried chicken steak tasted like home made food, the sausage grave was creamy and tasty, and tasty he biscuits very fresh and buttery. We also ordered a side of strawberries for my baby girl and it was super fresh and crunchy. We had to ask for a to go box because it was so much food and we were stuffed LOL PROS Wonderful friendliest staff!! They are all super nice and smiley. Clean space and restroom Fantastic food!! I am a fan of greasy spoon diners especially for breakfast and this place is just up my alley! I took my mom here this past Saturday and we had to wait a lil bit for a table but we didn't mind. My mom and I used to go to these types of breakfast spots when I was a kid, so it felt like home a lil to me. Once we got seated in a booth and handed a menu, the service was great! We ordered: - giant cinnamon roll - eggs benny - turkey scramble (seasonal special) The cinnamon roll was giant! Def shareable amongst 4 people. So we stopped here one last time before we hit the road, ending our work trip to Washington. Everything on my last review here still stands true. Today, I ordered the California eggs Benedict and my fiancée had the avocado toast. The eggs Benedict were great but again, I needed to add salt and pepper for taste. The avocado toast was also really good and fresh, but the avocado, it should be noted, is sliced avocado and not an avocado mash where the lemon juice and seasonings are incorporated into the mixture. It's a little more difficult to eat but it's still delicious and fresh. Why I really wanted to update this review is for the pie. I order the coconut cream pie and my fiancée got the pumpkin pie. They were absolutely phenomenal!!! The coconut pie was full of coconut flavor, but it wasn't overly thick and disgustingly filling, it was perfect. The pumpkin pie was full of delicious cinnamon and great for this time of year. These pies are definitely worth the calories! read more

The customer service and staff could seriously use improvement. When calling in my Togo order today I got "what do you want?" And then "who is this?". More like, "what could I get for you? Two stars because we've been here twice already this summer and it was ok but this time will probably be the last. The last time we were here, we got half our order, then the rest came but not til we were done with what we originally got and ready for our check at that point. Today it was just me, so I ordered breakfast to go and they forgot the bacon in my scramble. So it was just undercooked potatoes with scrambled eggs and a sprinkle of cheese on top. The potatoes were so undercooked that it was just not appetizing at all so I threw the food away and just went back to bed. My wife and I each drank water with our breakfast. Mukilteo Speedway offers a nice variety of flavored creamers for coffee drinkers. One feature that will guarantee my return in the future is the option to order half breakfast meals. This option suits my wife and I perfectly since we can never agree on a breakfast to share. My wife ordered the half Meat Lover's Omelette for $10.95: bacon, link sausage, diced ham, smoked kielbasa and Tillamook cheddar cheese. She chose the pancakes as her side. My wife loved her breakfast choice. I ordered the half Migas for $10.95: scrambled eggs, taco meat, Tillamook cheddar, red and green peppers, onions and crispy tortilla strips. Topped with ranchero sauce, avocado, sour cream and green onions. I chose the hash browns as my side. I enjoyed the Migas and wasted the under-cooked and flavorless hash browns. Parking was easy in the lot out front. Once seated, our party of 5 quickly ordered some coffees, hot chocolate (whip cream and M&MS?!?!!!), and some classic breakfast. I got the biscuits and gravy, egg, and sausage links. That was delicious, though I always wish there was more gravy. Others got the French toast and the rhubarb jam was delish. The first time they completely gave us someone else's order. This time they only cooked half of our sandwich. Plus they got the sides wrong.
