My family LOVES the vegetarian pho here. They are quick with their pick up orders, always friendly, and if you decide to dine here they serve a tasty tapioca pudding at end of meal. Why the 3 stars? This place is nice and they are very friendly with prompt service. I liked how they had a pho with a vegetable broth I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the broth compared to other pho bowls I've had. Also, there were only a few cubes of tofu and not a ton of veggies. I did like that they had bok choy in the veggie medley. The brisket and tripe was good and had a decent portion of meat. This is my new go to pho spot close to my house. I used to frequent another place on Tustin street but their service is nothing compared to this location. This location serves you very quickly and the owners are very nice ! Non-authentic and expensive.... people, please come to your senses! My first and last experience here, is the reason why my review is relentless. If you've ever ordered good spring rolls elsewhere, then you'd know, you should never have to pay over 2 dollars for just one roll. It wouldn't have been so bad if they weren't so bland even the dipping sauce tasted like it came from a can. Only one person in our group ordered a small bowl of Pho Tai, and it took SO long to prepare, I'm not even sure why. I didn't even want to come here, but Pancake House was too packed, regardless the reason, I'm for sure not coming back. Also, Vietnamese coffee is supposed to be viscous, a little sweet and strong, but mine was too watered down, I don't even know how they got it wrong. Unfriendly, impatient service rushing us to order our food, Okay, I'm just going to say, they totally ruined my mood. How on earth did this place get 4 and a half stars?? I'm sorry, but everyone must be from Mars. I gave 2 stars, because I dont want to be mean, I'll give them one for the fact that their establishment is clean. Everything we ordered was very good. The broth of the beef pho is a little on the lighter side, not quite as aromatic as I'm used to, but it was well balanced and tasty. The vermicelli with chicken and shrimp, and vermicelli with beef, were both well above the average for Vietnamese fare. They also have fresh coconuts, which was a treat. Note that the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was also very good, had been pre-made. That's great if you're in a hurry, but for those of us who like to linger in anticipation over the slow drips of the brewing coffee, it's a minor disappointment. It wouldn't prevent me from coming back here next time I'm nearby and jonesing for pho. read more

Great place to drop in if you're lazy or too tired to cook. A little pricy for a Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant compare to other places. Food is mediocre and services are good. Usually the waitresses are very nice and very friendly. We came in not too long ago and maybe it will be our last time as well even if it's closeby. Took our Mother in for dinner since we usually eat out on the weekend. Greeted with a new younger waiter. Told us to sit to the side tables cause all the middle ones are reserved for a 30 guests party. Fine, we took got a table that was from one table away to the corner, and he totally forced us to sit the table at the end that was in the corner. Now, as a business, that is a inconsiderate and rude way to make customers to sit at a particular spot. Kept my cool cause I was with my family. He left so were greeted with a young and new waitress. We ordered in Vietnamese but she act like she didn't understand so we spoke English to her. We put in our order. There's 3 orders, only 2 came out. Drinks came out after the food and we had to remind her .. When she was just standing there waiting for customers to come in. Horrible. After 30 mins, our 3rd bowl never came out. So we reminded her and she claim we never order 3rd bowl. Really?! 20 mins past by, finally the 3rd bowl came out. 20 mins to make a bowl of pho?! Her excuse was cause the kitchen was busy preparing for the 30 guests arriving. Ok, totally get it, you have a big party BUT neglecting the customers that are there ALREADY is unacceptable. And lastly with our table she act like she didn't understand Vietnamese, but yet next table came in, she speaks fluently and took their order. Horrible experience. Guess we're driving to Bolsa when we crave for Vietnamese food. read more

The irony of this review is that I am recommending this pho place without having the pho. I wasn't in a pho mood so I had another Vietnamese classic, the vermicelli noodles with grilled pork, egg roll, grilled shrimp, and crispy shrimp cake. I braced myself for mediocre (as I do when having Viet food outside of Little Saigon). I was pleasantly surprised. Grilled pork was perfectly seasoned and smoky. Shrimp was a bit small but just as tasty. The shrimp cake was also well executed and delightfully crispy. Egg roll was just ok. Believe it or not, this dish is pretty easy to screw up. I've had more disappointments than not when ordering this dish in restaurants, especially when outside of Little Saigon. I, like many other Viet brothers and sisters grew up enjoying this simple dish at home when mom would throw this together. But you cook differently when you are feeding your children. You know what they say about cooking with love. I enjoyed that brief trip back to my childhood. I will definitely come back to try out the pho though. Only fair to judge them on their signature dish. Oh, to the dude that gave this place a 1 star rating because they thought they could order a vegetarian bowl of pho...it's beef stock bro. And there's no egg in the egg roll, just like there's no ham in the hamburger. Do a little homework before you start ripping people. read more

I have been coming here for the last couple of years but hadn't been here this year. The pho bowl sized have been changed and are very small now. There is hardly any meat and very little broth in the pho. They reduced the sizes and increase the price! Not sure ill be back in some time!! read more

Good pho for pretty cheap (at least for Orange prices). Obviously if you want a more authentic experience, you'll head over by Westminster, but this suffices as a great date spot or a quick hankering-satisfier. I've been meaning to write a review about this place but am now finally getting around to it as I am waiting for take out! I eat ate this place an average about once a week... The food is great. I particularly like their pork chop and grilled shrimp with either the rice or vermicelli, and get a banh mi with the veggies in a separate bag to take for lunch at work the next day. Food aside, the people are always very kind and helpful. They took a last minute order from me while they were closing one night, with a happy disposition. We ordered take out a few times here as it is very close to where we live, our previous experiences with the restaurant was not bad. Today we called again to order 2 entrees to go, we asked for Stir fried beef and vegetables, the guy had a difficult time understanding what we are ordering and we had to literally repeat 5 times and said it word by word for him. We emphasized and said no mushroom in the dish until he repeated our request, and thought it was okay. When the order is ready to pick up, there are still mushrooms in the dish, which is even okay we know it's dinner time and they are busy, probably just forgot. Let the cashier know that we asked for no mushroom very specifically and repeatedly as the smell and taste of mushroom or fungus make me sick. The guy took the old order away and agreed to make a NEW dish without mushroom for us and apologized, came back with a "new" order saying it is newly made without mushroom. Took the order home, the vegetables are burnt, the beef is dry, and it still has the mushroom taste. So after moved around the broccoli we saw a few pieces of mushrooms underneath other veggies, apparently the kitchen just picked out the mushroom from the old dish, stir fry it again that's why the vegetables are burnt and meat is dry, gave it back to us and said they made a "NEW" dish for us.. Obviously the restaurant has a problem with being honest, and seriously, if you don't want unnecessary problems in the first place, hire someone who can do the job or train them properly, at least make sure they can speak and understand English okay. read more

The first time I entered My Pho, I was surprised by the décor. Set up in a small rectangular shop that use to house a Chinese take-out restaurant, My Pho strives to have a sit-down restaurant atmosphere in an environment that was clearly not designed for a sit-down restaurant. There is a host at the door to greet you, give you a menu, and seat you. Servers take your order and bring you your food. Attractive wooden tables and chairs are juxtaposed against bland white walls and the type of cheap acoustic ceiling tile you normally only see in schools and office buildings. It all feels very strange, but the extremely friendly staff help bring it all together and the food is excellent. Each time I've been here, the staff have been enormously friendly and make me feel like a valued guest rather than just another table they need to serve. If there is a table available, we are always seated immediately, and we don't have to wait long to have our orders taken. Servers check in periodically to refill water glasses and (once the food has arrived) to see if everything is okay with the food. It usually takes about 10 minutes to get our food after ordering. The menus don't have many (if any) pictures on them, so if you're new to Pho, you might want to do some research first. Everything I've ordered here has been excellent. I've tried most of the meat combinations and been happy with everything; I am the type of person who adds sriracha to everything, so you might take my opinion with a grain of salt if you don't like spicy food, but I can tell the difference between good pho with sriracha and bad pho with sriracha. My girlfriend eats here frequently as well, but doesn't like spicy food, so she usually only adds a little soy sauce. She is usually very happy with her food, although she found one of the meat options to be on the bland side (I forget which). You can get your order to go, and they do an excellent job packaging up the order so that it is safe to carry and set on your car seat. They put the broth in a separate container from the ingredients so you can combine everything when you get home, which keeps the meal fresh. If you like pho at all, you should try it out! read more

Haiku restaurant review: Pho-nominal food // Attentive staff awaiting // Vietnamese gold My Pho is a great establishment with extremely helpful staff. The menu is a little "whitewashed", so don't come expecting more exotic options like ox tail. That isn't to say that this place is any less authentic. The food they're serving up still tastes amazing! The chicken pho was just as hearty and delicious as any other pho joint around. The Thai iced tea was a little less sweet than most other places, which I love and really prefer. The staff was beyond helpful and attentive. They alone deserve 5 stars. A friend I ate with required some unusual accommodations, and the staff was more than willing to help out while assuring they weren't disturbing other costumers. Any time we glanced absent-mindedly towards the front desk, we would be greeted by a waitress making sure we were doing ok. When we were done, the waitress brought out a free dessert (Che Dau Xanh?), which was a creamy and sweet, warm soup. It had coconut milk, vanilla, tapioca pearls, and a third ingredient that I initially thought was mashed up corn- but the waitress informed me that the third ingredient was actually mung bean! My wife and I enjoyed Calamari at Roy's. We tried the Calamari at My Pho and it's by far the best Calamari around at a very reasonable price. We will never go to Roy's again. We followed up the Calamari with a bowl of Pho and it was amazing. The Pho was comparable if not better than most Pho restaurants in Little Saigon. We would highly recommend anyone who is looking for great Vietnamese cuisine to give My Pho a try. You will be delightfully surprised. Vegetarian review: I went to the gym and figured why not get some pho afterwards... since this was the closest place i tried it out even though there were higher review restaurants within a few miles. the place was empty even though it was still almost an hour until closing. not a great sign but definitely not a deal-breaker for me. i ordered the small vegetarian pho with soft tofu to go. when i got home i was surprised to see how skimpy they were with the tofu and vegetables! it was like 95% noodles with a few bites of tofu and a couple awkwardly cut carrots and broccoli. they were even skimpy with the side vegetables. i was so disappointed by that because i was hoping to get some nutrition rather than just noodles. i've been eating vegetarian pho for years and have never been let down like this. usually when i order vegetarian they give me more vegetables and tofu to make up for the lack of meat... i wish i'd driven a little further for more satisfying food. the flavor of the broth was perfectly fine and the service was nice enough (im not too picky with service). also somehow the total came to almost $10 even though it was 7ish dollars on the menu... kind of a bummer for a pho lover and supporter of small restaurants! read more

Finally pho close to home. Had to try many dishes on their menu and was pleased with the service and food taste. Tried the grilled salmon, soft chow mein, rare beef pho, grilled pork sandwich, combo fried rice and the egg rolls. The salmon had a weird batter coating to it and I am sure that if it was simply grilled plain I would have enjoyed it a lot more. The pho was nothing special and the egg rolls above average in taste but clearly overpriced at $1.50/each. Nothing like Kim Huong in Tustin at 50 cents each. My 5 year old could taste the difference.
