Absolutely not. Long story short, don't go here if you or anyone in your party has any food allergies or dietary restrictions. The woman who took my order was very polite. She removed the cheese and butter from my veggie pizza order without issue. When the waiter brought the pizza out, it looked fine. I didn't notice the cheese until after I took a couple bites. It was under the very large sliced vegetables. It stretched and was very obvious when I removed the veggies. I double-checked what a regular veggie pizza was supposed to look like, and it looked like it had cheese under the vegetables in the menu photos. I went up to the front to ask for a refund. The young woman at the register didn't know how to void an order, so she needed to get someone else. Another employee asked if I wanted a refund or wanted it remade. Before I could finish my answer, she interrupted me and snapped, "Or both?" The manager came up to give me my refund. He was very rude and acted as if I was putting him out. No one apologized. I was honestly embarrassed. I usually don't ask for refunds or remakes due to fear of attitudes like this. I was eating with a group of people and didn't want to bring attention to myself, I just wanted to quickly and quietly get my refund and go sit down. Came here to try something new but we really wish we didn't... The service was great. Everyone was super friendly and we got served quickly, but the food was not what i was expecting but also not terrible. It was edible but not good enough to finish.... I got a Philly cheesesteak, and I'm pretty sure it was just grilled roast beef. They really overdid it on the mayo and some other sauce that tasted so strange to me... my sandwich kinda tasted like it was microwaved, Not sure if that was the case though. I got a Caesar salad but the lettuce had a bunch of brown and red spots. I could just tell it wasn't fresh and very overdressed. I was really disappointed. Maybe I just didn't order the right thing? My fiancé got the turkey sandwich and he some what liked it just the same thing about tasting microwaved... but the macaroni and cheese was great! Being stuck at home, and wanting to support local restaurants, I am trying new places. I kept seeing Newk's pop up on doordash but had never seen it let alone tried it. I have never read any reviews or anything until AFTER I ordered and decided I needed to leave a review. Imagine my surprise at the negative reviews that I have found after my own experience was quite superior to those before me. I have eaten at hole-in-the-walls and some of the fanciest places in town, and this place simply is not bad at all. I ordered a club sandwich that I tailored to my liking with your basic ingredients, removing only honey-mustard and adding pickles and avocado, and I caved for a slice of chocolate cake. The timing from placing order to delivery was probably about 25-30 minutes, which is good because I live about 12-15 minutes away depending on the lights and traffic. The sandwich arrived warm and looked amazing. I cut it into smaller portions as it was quite well-stuffed. It was absolutely amazing! I have had deli sandwiches from many places, my usual favorite being McAlister's, but this was even better. The bread was perfectly toasted, making that crunch to smushy insides ratio just perfect. All of the meats and cheese were very tasty. I just can't find a negative thing to say. The chocolate cake is pretty good too. I can't say it's the best I have ever had because it is my FAVORITE desert and I have had some of the most amazing chocolate cakes as well as some of the WORST in my day, but this is a pretty good chocolate cake for the price and establishment where it is from. Moist and has a pretty good ratio of cake to icing that is so important!! I hope that more people will give this place a chance, as it could just be the typical issue of negative-nancy's complaining and not enough of the positives coming onto Yelp anymore. read more

My buddy and I have been here about 3 times now. The food isnt too bad. Nothing over the top and nothing horrible. It is one of the few places you can actually dine in at. This Newk's location was my choice for lunch on this day. I went in and picked up my Simply Salad w/Salmon to go because I had a scheduled conference call at 12:30. Online ordering gives you the option of choosing a pickup time or ASAP 10 minutes. I chose the 10-minute option. Upon arriving, I checked to see if my order was waiting, and it wasn't ready. I stood there for about 5 minutes before anyone came over to assist me. Once the manager came over, he told me that they were cooking my salmon, and it shouldn't take too much longer. After standing and waiting for another 3 minutes, another manager John came over, and I explained what the manager before him told me. Finally, after waiting for a total of 15 minutes, my lunch arrived, and I was on my way. When I got back to work, I looked at my salad, and the lettuce wilted, and carrots looked dry as if they had been sitting out for days. I called and spoke with the manager John, and he immediately replaced my salad and credited back my account. I enjoy eating at Newk's, but this was not the first time, I've ordered a salad, and the lettuce was wilted and brown. But they never fail to make it right. I was very disappointed with the meal last night. My husband and I ordered the farmers market sandwich which was vegetables and cheese and bread. We are not eating dairy so we asked for no cheese and I asked them to substitute bell peppers for onions. They were happy to do the substitution but when I got the sandwich I couldn't believe the size of it we each got four leaves of baby spinach (husband got 2) two small slices of squash and pepper! First time I ate here the food was great but the booths and most of the tables were dirty. Second time I ate here there were plenty of clean tables but the food was not good. The bread on my turkey and swiss scratched the roof of my mouth and my toddler's grilled cheese was also roof scratching crunchy. They didn't leave us silverware so I had to go ask. The silverware didn't come with a spoon so I had to feed my tot applesauce with a fork....fun times. I've never left a negative review on Yelp. I think it's fair to say, for a 9.50$ "Turkey Breast" sandwich, this is a terrible disappointment. I got home, after waiting an excruciatingly long time (only a handful of others in the restaurant) to find a piece of toast with one slice of thin limp lunchmeat and a very sad unripened tomato. I actually got back into my truck, drove back to Newk's and asked for the manager. The manager (very nicely) told me that they only put 4oz. of turkey on each sandwich. Then sent me on my way. Rather than embarrass the young manager and stand there and explain that this was not 4oz or that the tomato was gross, and the entire sandwich and experience was sub par, I just decided to warn the rest of you not to spend your time or your money here. We even double checked that we had everything but we didn't actually look at the inside of the sandwiches. They tasted good but it wasn't what we wanted. I love Newk's! It's one of the healthier options close to my house. Today I placed an order online and was quoted 12 as the time for it to be ready for pickup! I got there around 12-12:05 and noticed they were busy! Awesome! No problem, happy they are getting back to normal buisness. I waited by the online order pickup for about 10 minutes and noticed a bag waiting by the kitchen. No worries I figured it was mine and again I know they were busy. After waiting for about 15 minutes with no help or anything I walked and asked if that was by chance my order. The gentleman walked over and checked and sure enough it was. So it had been sitting there for gosh I don't even know how long. When I got to my car to check the order the pizza was completely smooshed, soggy, at the top of the box with toppings off. It's inedible. My soup and salad are fine! So therefore where the 2 stars come in effect. I spent 30 for lunch and honestly I am so disappointed. I will not be returning. read more

My sons school uses Newk's for catering (boxed sandwiches) before games. Last week I was able to place my order the morning of. When I called this week because I was unable to place my sons order I was told that the time for ordering closed at 7pm the night before. This has to be incorrect because I have my receipt from last week and that was not the case. Then I asked if I could place a pick-up order for the same time and put the name of the school on the order. I wasn't asking for the discounted rate (I was willing to pay more), only asking that they literally take that order and put it with the school's pick-up. I was told no with the reason given of the pretend due date (or at least the due date that changes week-to-week). I'm irritated that they wouldn't help with my order, but I am even more furious that the person on the other end of the phone was so rude. She was more concerned about telling me "no" than she was actually listening to what I was asking. You should really work more on your customer service. read more

I gave a 3 over the two cause the pizzas 70 percent of the time are pretty good. We have had trouble with Newks not filling complete orders and also putting wrong items in bags. You almost have to double check the order sometimes just to make sure it's all correct. Last time they almost did not put my daughters mac n cheese in the bag. I spoke with the girl and had to wait 15 minutes as the rest of the food got cold. Last time when we got the order home the french onion dipping sauce actually was not tight spilling out all inside the bag going through it. We tried it and loved it! When you walk in you can do "grab-n-go" or sit down. We chose sit down today but I love that you're able to walk in, pick a sandwich from the cooler and be on your way. My husband ordered the Sicilian pizza and I ordered half of the chicken pesto sandwich and a bowl of fire roasted tomato soup! The bread was amazing for the sandwich, fresh and soft! The soup was delicious. My husband (being Italian) said the pizza was good, not the best, but for this kind of restaurant he would order it again! The open concept of the restaurant is inviting. This boy (curly hair and glasses) making the sandwich wanted to argue he made it already. Great ... find it and put it in my bag, I want to go home. No haste in making the sandwich, yapping with others instead. Had to walk up to the counter AGAIN and have someone remind him to make it. He comments loudly, yeah I'm REMAKING THE SANDWICH (but wasn't, instead just yapping some more with someone next to him). Again, not my problem what happened to the first sandwich, if there was one, he seems the type that doesn't know whether he's coming or going and probably my never made it given that two of the other sandwiches were incorrect once We finally got to eat them.
