I placed my order to go over the phone for pick up. Plenty of parking when I arrived. I was second in line and it was growing behind me because it was almost lunch time. I think with the layout of their restaurant, there's not a lot of space inside to stand 6 feet apart so the line went out the door. My order was ready by the time I got to the register. I think it would be nice if they had more than one pen for you to use when signing for a credit card transaction. Maybe a cup labeled "Clean" and another one for "Dirty" so that I know that the pen I'm touching hasn't been used by however many people in the day. My friend got the Garlic Noodle with 5 jumbo shrimp. The shrimp ratio to noodle ratio is a little off. There's room to save half of your noodles and cook your own separate portion of protein for another meal. I got the Bulgogi Rice Bowl which sort of reminded me of Com Tam dishes. The meat was a little on the sweeter side which surprised me but wasn't bad. We also got the Thai Tea and Peach & Lychee Green Tea. This place did not disappoint! My husband and I came here for our weekend "date night". My husband suggested we step out of our Irvine bubble. So we ventured out to Orange. I'm so glad we did. This place is a gem. I appreciate new non chain like eateries and I am all about supporting local entrepreneurs. This place has a simple non assuming menu however this place does it right. It does not try hard and it's the quintessential millennium business. There seems to be this phenomenon where the second generation Vietnamese are popping out quite creative businesses. Again simple yet delicious. I had the bulgogi Bahn Mi. Loved it! The bread and the sauce was perfection! My husband took a bite and said that it is a must get!!! We ordered the garlic fries as a last minute addition. To be honest I didn't care for it however I don't take off stars for it because it was a Cajun garlic fries. I'm not a fan of Cajun flavor so it's not restaurants fault. It annoys me when people leave bad reviews because of their personal taste profile preferences. I'm pretty sure for those who like Cajun flavors will like the fries. As for me I thought it was just garlic fries but when I looked at the menu again it did say Cajun garlic fries. Stopped by this place on a Sunday. Heard it gets really crowded so we were please to arrive when it was empty. I ordered the Bulgogi beef bowl. It came with rice, pickled veggies and lettuce. The bowl was good but it really didn't knock my socks off. It was just okay. After hearing such rave reviews about this place--the outcome was a little disappointing. It might have been because we ordered the wrong thing. Apparently, the bahi mi is the most popular item on the menu. I don't think I'd come back here. The meat could have been seasoned just a little more but still good nonetheless. The toppings plus meat was a large amount overflowing the bread..def a plus! The garlic noodles were ok and the pork was ok. When you add meat to the dish, it does increase the charge and the overall price for that dish just wasn't really worth it. It had a much more homemade quality than a restaurant quality. Plus it was pretty salty. Seems that dish had the extra seasoning that the sandwich needed. The egg rolls are different. The insides aren't what I'm used to for a vegetable egg roll but it was pretty good. I'm not even really sure what was inside of it! Overall the spot is good but a bit overpriced for what you get. Ordered from Postmates while staying at Great Wolf since the food in the resort is mediocre at best. It was soooo good! We tried the bulgogi garlic noodles, chicken thigh garlic noodles, prawn rice bowl and popcorn chicken and we loved everything. So full of flavor, large portions, and the dipping sauces added a nice heat. Garlic noodles could have had a little bit more flavor, but overall I was pleased and would order this again. Woohoo! Found another great gem in OC! Yelping around for something good in Orange, I stumbled upon Nguyen's Kitchen. It's only been around a month, but already has 95 reviews and 4.5 stars. There's gotta be something good about this place! Girlfriend and I came here for dinner and we ordered a grilled pork banh mi and grilled chicken ($5.95 each). Both come with the green sauce, which is bomb and adds the perfect amount of spicyness. The grilled chicken was so tender and delightful, I was definitely pleasantly surprised. It's a whole grilled chicken breast that's cut up into chunks, so it's not shredded like typical chicken banh mi. It might be pricey considering it's banh mi, but I think it's worth it! We were interested in the drinks since it's all the rage on Yelp, and I asked if we could sample the teas they had. The cashier was very friendly and gave us two little cups of wintermelon green tea and peach lychee green tea ($2.95 each). The wintermelon green tea was a truly pleasant surprise, as the green tea adds another element to the drink. The peach lychee was good, but on the sweeter side and lacking in tea-y-ness. We came around 6:30pm and it was pretty empty, but by 7:30pm, the place was packed. I'll definitely be back! read more

My family, friends and I were looking for somewhere to eat at 2am and didn't have many options besides fast food so as far as convenience this place is great when you're hungry late at night. Food came relatively quickly and tasted fine. We had the garlic noodles, popcorn chicken, and chicken wings. The garlic noodles didn't amaze me and the popcorn chicken was standard in comparison to popcorn chicken offered at boba tea places. Although I did enjoy their chicken wings, not quite entirely sure what about it I enjoyed so much but if I do come back here I'll will definitely be getting an order of the wings again. It was salty, very buttery (fattening), and no veggies at all. just pasta drenched in garlic + butter with pork on top. it was just too salty for my taste. -Bahn mi was decent, but lacked the special sauce that I liked in other joints. -Vermicelli was too simple, with just noodles, lettuce, radish, and grilled pork, though still delicious. I'd just recommend to order the dish at a traditional Vietnamese joint as they put in cut up fried egg roles and peanuts, etc. -Vietnamese Coffee was great, Thai tea was a bit too sweet. They hand-shredded the carrots & vegetables. The salad, also, included cucumbers that were peeled with fancy edges. This wasn't your standard packaged salad. Nguyen's even included extra dressing. If you don't like warm chicken in your cold salad, you may not like the salad. The salad was more like a dinner meal than lunch. I ended up splitting it in two & having lunch for two days. What I like about this place is the customer service and atmosphere. Also the rewards are really generous, I expected the free banh mi to be the cheapest one available, and I'd have to pay the tax difference but I could choose any flavor I want, COMPLETELY FREE. I got the Bulgogi Steak banh mi along with Bulgogi Steak Cajun Garlic fries. I also requested a fried egg on top because I love putting egg on my food LOL.
