I am giving three stars rather than four for three reasons: the waitress was not very nice, two the yellow curry was too sweet and the food was just ok. I ordered delivery from here: yellow curry, the beef salad, and the tom yum soup. I think the Thai food here is comparable to Daisy Mint (and probably other similar Thai restaurants). Nothing super great that you need to go out of your way for, but a good option in the area. The curry was the best IMO. I wouldn't order the beef salad again. Yellow curry is a win. Super delicious flavor. It is definitely my favorite and I'm not really a Thai curry person. I've also had their Pad see ew which is pretty solid. Our go-to take out Thai food place! We probably order at least once a week from this place. A couple times our coconut soup wasn't flavored quite up to par with the other times (not quite enough lemongrass flavor or something), but it was still as good as what you'd find at an average Thai food place. Recently upon delivery the lid was cracked on our papaya salad, leaking the sauce over the whole bag and making the salad way less flavorful. I think the reviews might be skewed because of the 10% discount for writing a Yelp review. Although I like the setup of the restaurant and the service was good when I was there, the food was not as exceptional as the 4.5 star review that the restaurant holds on Yelp. Its okay, but not great. I literally walked by, Yelped the restaurant and saw that they had 4.5 stars so I was like let me get something to go so I can try it. I'm usually not very picky about my Thai food, but I was pretty underwhelmed by the pad thai here. The portions were humongous, but the noodles were extremely bland. I also tried the tom yum soup, which had chicken, mushrooms, lemongrass in a spicy soup with lime juice and fresh chili. It had tons of chicken and mushroom, making it super filling. It was a bit too sour for my liking, but I don't have tom yum soup often so I have nothing to compare to and can't speak to the authenticity. I'm never in the Pasadena area but even if I was, I probably wouldn't come back anytime soon. read more

Food was super Yummy. Came on a Friday evening so it was a full house. The place is pretty small but was impressed with how fast and efficient the service was. This place is adorable! I was a little pessimistic when I first came in only because I've tried different Thai restaurants and they were never as good as Thai BBQ in Glendale. But man, their food is soooo good. It was incredibly fresh and so simple. I got the pad see ew w/ beef and the chicken basil leaves with chili (lunch special). Whoa, I've never reviewed Nine & Nine? This thai restaurant is our neighbor - we live right across the street. It is our go-to for an easy, good dinner that is close by. The curries are great, the pad thai and pad see ew are delicious, and their soups are perfect when sick. If I am sick, especially with a cough, I will order a couple of soups to go from here to have for my meals for the next few days. I love the Chicken Noodle Soup and the Tom Yum or Tom Yum with Coconut. So delicious. I think the soups are slightly pricey, but I get it anyways for deliciousness and convenience. They have a patio in the front which is good for dog-owners. If you have a thai craving, I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Myself and a good friend ordered lunch for pick up due to having 1/2 lunch. We were told that they could not hold a table due to first come first served. Ok with that. So upon our arrival we saw a table that was free. So we sat down to wait for our order. They said since we ordered our food to go we may not sit there to eat our food. We looked at each other and sighed! Well it also took almost 20 minutes for us to get our food and she did point out to my friend that I took your order 20 minutes ago so you did not wait to long. I have to give a shout out to the owner, Sid! After having dozens of good meals over the years, I recently had a really disappointing experience. I emailed the business from this site and the owner called me back promptly. I explained that I had 2 good dishes, one mediocre and two were terrible. Something was definitely off that night. Sid apologized and offered to send me another meal of any five items to make up for it. I got my replacement meal tonight and I'm happy to say everything is back to normal! Best Thai in town!! Hands down! NOTHING compares! The yellow curry is the best I've ever had! The chicken is all white meat, no creepy meat or spit outs, perfect amount of spice and it even comes with rice! I don't know if this is standard but other places I've been always charge extra for rice. I've been eating here for years and when I crave it I am on a mission to get it. Delicious! First time in Pasadena and needed a place to grab dinner after IMATS2016. Found this on Yelp and looked very good and we were a group of 3 that love Thai food! Defnitely hitting this place again if were back in Pasadena. Highly Recommend it! I ordered the Phad Thai and it came with both shrimp and chicken. After that we got the fried banana ice cream, now that was ridiculously amazing! i as well got a side of hot green tea which had some jasmine in it which made it even better.
