My husband and I stopped by here for dinner. It looks like it often is packed because there were signs apologizing for waits. Fortunately, we were there on the night after Labor Day. Our waitress, Adrienne, came over quickly and took our order. She was very good and attentive. The place had a steady stream of customers. I got the pho with rare steak. It was delicious. My husband ordered the dish that did not have broth. It was noddles with BBQ pork. He really enjoyed that. We also shared an order of dumplings. 3 stars for the noodles. 1 star for the boba and 2 stars for the service. The Laos style noodle soup #3 was different and delish if you like a little kick of spiciness. The kids bowl was fine but came with no veggies even though we asked to include. I wish I didn't make the last minute boba purchase because it was no bueno. Probably the worst boba I've ever had. It was mostly water and ice cubes mixed in with a little bit of lychee flavor. Terrible. The service was slow and also kind of rude. Garbage racist place. Such a shame they are serving Asian cuisine and they are prejudice. My fiancé came and we got seated at a very tiny 2 chairs table; I barely had anywhere to put my bag and heavy coat. 2 groups of Caucasian couples came in, also 2 people per group, they all got seated at a 4 seater table. When we asked if we could move, they said we cannot. We pointed out how come the other groups could and we were just brushed off. I pulled aside one of the chairs from the neighboring empty table to put my belongings since I don't have the luxury of extra space like the other groups. Then a group of 4 came in, the waiter came and said we need your chair. I asked couldn't he ask the 2 groups who are not using their 2 extra chair each. He was about to come up something else to say but decided to grab their chairs instead. One of the ladies from the table next to us needed an extra chair to rest her injured leg. I was about to pull my chair with my belongings close to me and offer to grab her an extra chair to rest her leg. Instead a Caucasian lady came out of nowhere and snatched up my belongings and said this has to move. I kept on trying to get my items back because I don't like strangers touching my things without asking me for permission but she was insisting on holding my stuff and put it somewhere herself despite my fiancé saying give them back to her. From customer service perspective, this is such a horrible experience. The fact the staffs see no wrong in this blows my mind. The pho was so mid with barely any meat too for $45 of 2 bowls. I will never come back here with such unprofessional behavior. Literally disgusted with the experience. Not to mention I threw up like crazy few hours after eating here. read more

We came to Mammoth ready that we might not find many vegan options and we ended up being surprised with couple of places having plant based menu, but our favorite stop was definitely Noodle-Ly. Vegetable soup with tofu was amazing! You can choose rice or spinach noodles ( please note that spinach noodles are not vegan). Staff is so lovely, helpful and friendly. Also, you can scan receipt and pay right away, so there is no waiting. We also had Oolong tea, but you will have huge tea and boba selection to choose from. Very nice surprise and this will definitely be our regular stop every time when we visit Mammoth. Our family of 4 - love pho and was happy to find pho in Mammoth. We ordered 2 pho with rare steak and 2 khao soi. SALTY. My youngest daughter who always slurped and drained her pho broth didn't finished the broth- only ate the noodles and left 70% broth in bowl. Please consider adjusting salt content? And the rice noodles were not soft. We were hungry- ate all the rice noodles and then my husband decided to order an extra serving of rice noodles because we barely drank our broth. It was weird but the extra order of rice noodles was soft and chewy- what pho noodles should taste like- wonder why the noodles that came in our bowl tasted hard and semi uncooked. The service was friendly despite it being very busy. The overall atmosphere was nice. We do want the business to succeed for would love to have pho again in Mammoth. Dined in after a day on the hill. We were seated immediately, and they took our order just as fast. The food took a little long to come out, but they warn you of this as they're short staffed. Very tasty noodle shop! The staff are really nice, the food comes out quickly, and they have a number of very delicious dishes. The khao soi is absolutely fantastic with just the right amount of light spice and all the broths and noodles are awesome. Come early (as in before 6pm) or risk leaving noodle-less. Fortunately, the first time here we came midday and sat at the bar. The popularity of this restaurant cannot be understated, not only were all the tables full, the smallest party was a table of four. Spinach noodles, a marvelous idea! While not housemade they taste like they are. These are also an option for any dish but they shine best alone with the special spicy sauce. I enjoyed them immensely, the texture was a perfect al dente and resembles a thick linguine in texture. The BBQ pork options were also great. We split the broth version with egg noodles and I primary munched on the dry bowl version. No sides or appetizers here, just bowls of noodles so I recommend getting an extra bowl if you arrive hungry. Be aware they are closed every Tuesday and Wednesday, and if you arrive after 6:30pm like we did on our second attempt, they'll be sold out. While mildly disappointed, I really cannot hold this against the place. I'd rather they be cleaned out than have leftovers rolling into the next day. In short, Noodle-Ly has a special place in our hearts and Mammoth Lakes is all the better for having them. Great job to the cooks and nice servers up front. read more

Decided to get noodles after a nice day of snowboarding in the spring. Tried one of their most popular noodles- khao soi. The flavor of the broth was so rich and delicious, exactly what I needed after a long day. It had the perfect amount of spice and the cabbage added a nice crunch to each bite. Fabulous food. Cost is great- regular bowls $14 and goes up from there. Adding the specialties is TOTALLY worth the cost, but do know getting the standard order on any of these dishes comes out perfect. I rate it a 4 star just based off of service, everyone was very kind, it was extremely busy and I believe maybe a transfer was happening when we came so we had a bit of a wait on everything. Food: 4/5 Our first time eating at this restaurant in Mammoth and my group was wanting something to eat other than American. This place was open so we gave it a try. For it being the only option in the area for Vietnamese/Thai inspired noodles, it wasn't bad at all. We ordered the Pho with Brisket which had a good amount of meat and noodles for a regular size. A large is actually super big so keep that in mind while ordering. I also ordered the Khao Soi, which had a good spice and chicken/ pork flavor and I liked the addition of the chicharrones. We also tried the Taro milk tea, which was solid and reminds me of a Lollicup/ fast casual boba joint quality and a Strawberry & Cream drink, which I can pass on next time because it was thicker than expected and didn't come together as well as expected either. Drinks would get a rating of 3/5 overall Service: 3/5 The staff is nice and welcoming, but the service is very slow. My group of 4 waited for about an hour to get seated and then an extra 30 min waiting on the food. My group wasn't too pressed for time since we were trying to kill time anyways, but just something to keep in mind. Ambiance: 3/5 The restaurant was on the smaller side so I can see it being very difficult for them to accommodate parties larger than 4. The vibe felt homey and family owned and the decor was random but I also thought it was different and cute I'm definitely not opposed to this location and wouldn't mind coming back when I am back in Mammoth. The previous day we attempted to come even after calling them after a long hike to the waterfalls and kayaking on the lake. They said they'd be open past 8pm. We rushed over 15 mins til 8pm. Just when they opened up, eager and didn't want to miss out on this opportunity we were the first few inside and ready to order. My family and I were craving some pho. Everyone ordered beef noodle pho, but me. I ordered a vegetarian pho and I was excited they had a vegetarian option for me. My family ordered a large bowl, while I was shopping for some souvenirs next door. Majority of the party were not pleased they said their beef broth was bland with too much noodles. I on the other hand ordered vegetarian pho, soup taste decent, lack veggies, and there was way too much spinach noodles. The vegetarian broth had some mushrooms and lots of onions and tofu. The broth wasn't flavorful, had enough veggies as I was accustomed to. I had to modify my bowl by squeezing in lots of sliced limes, tossed in fresh basil, add heavy chili paste and fresh jalapeños and it was flavorful and tasted a lot better, lol! I can't complain because I know what I like and I was able to add in what I needed to fix my soup and it was good. I live in the Bay Area, and have really great options. I knew better than to hold high expectations for anywhere else. I was just happy they served a hot bowl of pho with fresh ingredients and they had a vegetarian option. What I found most upsetting was the lack of bathroom facility. They redirected people and asked them to not use their was bathroom. They redirected everyone to use the bathroom that was in Starbucks. This was a poor decision on management because I hate public bathrooms but after finishing a large bowl of pho and having to walk and look for another bathroom. I would definitely not come back. Great dining experience at Noodle-ly the other evening! Usually I'm visiting Mammoth when Noodle-ly is closed, but luckily we were there on. Thursday and got a table. I had the Khao Soi and it was just amazing. The broth, noodles and pork was just so tasty. I got a large bowl and it was a good sized meal. There is a lot of broth and I just couldn't finish it off - stuffed! Elsa was our server and she was great. My buddy left his wallet on our table and she came after us to give it back. I came here and got a big bowl of the vegetarian ramen after a long day of hiking. I tried to capture the size of the takeout containers, but my photo really doesn't do it justice. So you'll just have to trust me on this: it's BIG. I was very hungry, but this left me stuffed. Most places I've had takeout ramen from give you the broth and noodles separately. Here they keep them separate until you arrive, and then add the broth right before giving it to you. I prefer the other way, but this worked. I really appreciate that the veggie bowl had nice tofu slices along with plenty of vegetables. So many vegan/veggie noodle options forget that plant eaters need protein too. If you're looking for asian food in Mammoth, this place is decent. This was our first time here and for takeout. Heads up, if you are ordering pho or anything that has broth, just know that they put the BROTH into the noodles upon pickup. I thought I read their text wrong when it said that pickup may take a few mins upon arrival as they have to add the broth into the noodles. I've never experienced that before for takeout pho or any soup with noodles. When I told the server that I did not want it mixed together as I wasn't going directly home and didn't want the noodles expanding, they made me pay extra for having it separated even though I had already paid online. Suggestion in response to the owner: Instead of assuming that everyone who orders takeout will be rushing back home within 4 square miles to immediately eat their pho before the noodles start soaking up the broth, why don't you have a disclaimer to let the consumers know and give them an option BEFOREHAND to pay to have the broth packed separately? A large amount of your customers are not from that area, don't you think it's good business practice to let them know up front? No need for a response. Thank you. read more
