I got food to go last night. I was surprised to see new people at the counter. So, I asked for the other lady and was told she was "on vacation" (for two months). When I arrived home, I was in shock to see my Bento had very small California rolls (the large version is gone!), and the taste was completely different from the 'old' flavor I am used to. I did not like the new flavor. I have to add I am a regular customer of this place, I have consumed their food for many nears, and all members of my family love their dishes. The other lady was always friendly and polite to us. HOWEVER, I have reason to believe the people I saw last night are the new owners. The "vacation" line was not convincing to me. Point being, the new owners have changed the size of the California rolls to cut corners to make more $, and most likely other food portions will be smaller as well; and the old recipe is long gone. So, do not expect the same food size, or flavors anymore. I am very disappointed, and sad to know the other lady is gone (is she?). read more

Solid local place, best part is that pretty much everything on the menu is pretty decent, so if you're in the area and can't decide that everyone wants quick 'yaki or sushi or chinese you'll do ok here. The last 2 times I've visited for to-go orders it seems like everyone behind me in line gets their food before me. Nice lunch or quick dinner spot. Essentially a glorified teriaki joint that offers an extended menu of other Asian dishes. The Bento boxes are a pretty good value. I like the salmon teriaki version, yes it's probably frozen, farm raised salmon but to expect fresh, wild salmon is unrealistic for the price. Friendly service, affordable (I usually get the large spicy chicken teriyaki and it easily makes two meals for about $12). If you are eating in the restaurant there is free miso soup and hot tea.
