Great food. Really like this place. Little pricey but it's comparable to similar places AND they gotta make a profit after all the bills are paid. Pizza is STL style and very tasty....all ingredients are fresh. Crust is the best here. I've had similar STL style pizza at other pizza joints but the crust wouldn't be good. BBQ is solid. Good smoke flavor, tender and moist. BBQ sauce is a KC style which is what I dig...they could add a bit more heat and leave out the cumin. Sides are also solid esp the mac n cheese. Favorites though is the pizza, ribs and apps. read more

I wasn't expecting much based on a few of the reviews I read, but I'm glad I tried Nubby's because it definitely exceeded my expectations. Did I just get the right combination or something? This is really good barbecue! I got the Texas brisket burnt ends, fries and beans. The burnt ends were perfectly smoked and super tender. They come pre-sauced and I do agree with previous posts that they should offer them dry as an option. I did not find them overly salty at all, and I did not find the sauce overly sweet. There was a nice bark on the meat, and the amount of sauce was actually about right for me. The fries were home made, fresh and quite good. The beans were homemade with what I think were pinto beans, black beans and butter beans. They were mildly smoked and could have used a little more salt. Been to restaurant at least 15 times, and usually the smoked pork steak is very tender and great but last 2 purchases it just seemed to not be smoked very long because it was Not tender at all. Also very fatty last 2 times. One more time there off my list. read more

This place definitely has that "wow" factor. Employees gave superb service, the atmosphere inside is excellent, and most importantly the food is delicious. No doubt Nubby's hammers home the trifecta of food experiences. Couldn't recommend a restaurant more emphatically. read more

She really liked her Parmesan and bacon green beans but my German potato salad and smoked beans were just average. Want to try their pizza as well. Service is great! Staff are very helpful. Salads are good! Pizza is good! Roast Beef not so good. Cut so it will go on a sandwich and shouldn't be served as a plated meat with sides. Brisket isn't as good as it was before the new owner took it over. Dry and tasteless. Ambiance is nice! We go there often but I will not be ordering the brisket or roast beef again. read more

Tried this place for the first time. Overall the food was very good, however my wife's meal was just so-so. She ordered a grilled cheese and the sandwich was cold (cheese not even melted). Her sandwich came out without tater tots and the waitress said they were making some fresh. She then came back out and said that they were coming out a strange color so she offered her fries instead. The restaurant and bar area are nice and we'll probably try it again at some point. read more

You wouldn't think a BBQ would be known for some of the best StL style pizza in the area but that is exactly what you get with Nubby's. I recommend getting it with the cheese blend plus garlic. The BBQ is also top notch. Service staff is always friendly and ownership really seems to care about customers and employees. You can dine in side and there is plenty of space between tables for social distancing. My only criticisms is that the have cable news (yuck) on tv when there's not a game going on and I wish they had a better beer selection. read more

The 1st experience included brisket which seemed more like a chuck roast and I was disappointed. We went back and tried some of the other meats, apps and pizza. Everything we've had since then has been great. It's our new go to pizza for eat in or pickup. Imos down the street misses us! I haven't tried the brisket again but I'm a little gun-shy. Best pizza in the area by far. Every aspect of the pizza was good - the crust, sauce, cheese, sausage and bacon were each individually perfect. I'm at a loss for words. Smoked wings are really meaty and flavorful. Pulled pork nachos are huge, fresh, delicious and come with all the fixins. We ate every bite, just couldn't stop eating. Went here last week from r their Deluxe pizza which was fantastic. Loved the rustic sauce and they sure do not skimp on the toppings. Tonight we came back for the barbecue. We had the Brisket reuben and it was delicious. We had the green beans as our side and they also were fabulous. Tried the potato salad and that was not very good. Tasted like it was out of a can. We went to Nubby's on Telegraph for lunch today. I had the brisket salad. It was amazing! I'm super picky when it comes to salads but this one was unbelievably good. It was loaded with lean brisket. The combination of bleu cheese and banana peppers was perfect. The service was great. The owner stopped by our table to greet us and thanked us for coming in. I can't wait to go back. read more

Nubbys gets a lot of love for being new and the only barbecue place around but the food is nothing to rave about. A BBQ place only having one type of BBQ sauce is just odd, I honestly don't think I've ever experienced it any where else. I also believe the BBQ Sauce is sweet Baby Rays, not even a home made sauce. I've gotten the pulled Pork Sandwich and the Pulled Pork nachos. The Sandwich was fine but I would not get the Nachos again. The cheese was velveeta, the salsa was Tostitos, BBQ sauce was Sweet Baby Rays, that's my opinion by taste and appearance. Probably won't be back unless I'm just dying for close and convenient BBQ. read more

Ive eaten here several times now. A couple of the times the food was pretty good, nothing special but ok. Another time my pulled pork sandwich was just loaded with fat pieces, couldn't really even eat the thing. This latest time I got a pulled pork sandwich again and it tasted ok however it gave me FOOD POSITIONING. I am 100% sure it was that because that was the only thing I ate all day and it started within hours after eating and urgent care diagnosed it as food poisoning. I did call the store the next day to let them know. I spoke with the manager. He was pretty nice and said they would look into it. However he didn't really ask me any details or even offer me any kind of compensation, i.e. a refund, free meal, etc. The point of me calling was to hopefully prevent it from happening to someone else but I am surprised he didn't even offer to do anything for me, thats just not good customer service and implies they don't really care keeping their frequent customers. It was my first time to this restaurant. I prefer ordering online or over the phone, but these options were not available. I even called the main number and was immediately sent to voicemail. So, I was forced to go to into the restaurant during this COVID season, where no one was wearing a mask except me. I asked were do I order and a girl, Zarina, said here. Then, a couple walks in after me and the girl at the register greets them first and asks for their order. I was there first and I told them I was ready to order. I place my order and give them my number so they can let me know when it's done. I came back to the restaurant when it was done, I walked in and Zarina met me half way and gave me the order. As soon as I got home, I noticed that my pizza was missing. I drove back to the restaurant and Zarina apologized for not giving me the pizza. I ordered a 16 inch pizza and it was not a 16 inch pizza. More like a 16 inch by 8 inch rectangular pizza. The menu is misleading and makes you believe it's a round pizza. Also, I ordered a BBQ hamburger pizza and instead they give me a sausage pizza. The manager offered a refund only for the cost of the pizza without the tax I paid. I then brought up that fact to her attention and then she refunded me for the tax portion. The order food we ordered was okay, but not as good as Bandanas. They food here is nothing special, the barbecue sauce tastes like Sweet Baby Rays as someone already mentioned. The food is not anything great, it's over priced, and the restaurant is full of incompetent employees. read more
