For starters, my wrap was so delicious that I didn't have a chance to take a picture of the deliciousness (because I was too focused on shoving it in my mouth). I had been to the other location in Soma and LOVE how this place makes their hummus (the way hummus should be made!) Decided to try the tuna wrap, with my tuna cooked well done. I love how fast this place moves. The line was out the door and yet there was still attention to detail to prepare each customers order to their liking (definitely takes skills!) The wraps are big, but easy to finish (and filled with good veggies). The wrap also stayed together (it's really magic how that happens!) as I was eating it, so I was able to maintain mouthful after mouthful of deliciousness! I just found out after a few days that I was charged overpriced. I remember ordering 2 vegi samusa which is $2.99 x $6 and 1 kibbeh $4 total suppose to be $10 with tax maybe $12. If I had seen this amount at the register, I would know and paid attention, But I am not sure why I see a charge of $20.85 on my credit card after few days. I feel I was scammed. In SF you will pay the price unfortunately of expensive food, so it came out to $13 dollars I believe. The service was just okay, but food wise was good and you get a lot and it is pretty big. You can see them always checking in on people if they've been waiting for a while to ensure they get their order taken care of. Food: I've only tried the Vegan Deluxe - eggplant and falafel. It's very good and filling! Can get a little messy eating as the juices leak out of the bottom. The falafel is really tender and isn't dried out. The fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onion make it feel light and fresh. I highly recommend the Vegan Deluxe to vegans and no vegans! It is a take out joint across from the Hyatt. It seems like everyone would take the food and go across the street to eat at the outdoor tables at Embarcadero. The food was good and was a large portion. The service was helpful and fast. $10 for a to-go gyro. I ordered the lamb and beef gyro. With all the high prices around this area, this place has what you are looking for without the high Cali prices. Located within blocks of the Ferry Terminal buildings, (next to the Hyatt Hotel) you can grab it to go and enjoy the beautiful view of the bay. If you're craving a falafel wrap and you're in FiDi, this is your place. If you don't want to wait in a really long line, come early as there will most likely always be a line during the weekday lunch hours. Their wraps are on lavash bread, so you can taste all of the ingredients--falafel, hummus, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and bread--in one bite. The falafel patties are perfectly seasoned and they give you a good number of them, so that made me happy. Staff are friendly and it seems like they remember you if eat here often enough. Another installment of the shawerma quest. Oasis Grill is across the street from the Embarcadero Center on a sketchy block that seems to be the regular haunt of panhandlers. When you walk into their small storefront, you'll see signs that indicate where to order and where to pay. You can watch them assemble your wrap as you wait. The menu is fairly simple with not too many options: wraps (gyros, shawerma, falafel, kefta kebabs) and salads ($3.75 a pint, e.g., hummus, tabouli). Grab a drink, chips, baklava, mini Ritter chocolate bars or halvah and pay up at the register. Seating is very limited (4 stools). I chose the chicken shawerma wrap ($7.75). It came tightly wrapped in a grilled lavash wrap with hot sauce (they ask you whether you want it spicy or not), plenty of chicken, tomatoes, romaine lettuce and tahini sauce. The chicken is marinated in garlic sauce. I could taste some garlic but thought the chicken needed more seasoning. The skinless chicken was in large chunks, too thick and dry as well. The tahini is thin and watery, so it will drip out of the bottom of the wrap. Overall the wrap was decent but somewhat lacking in flavor. I wish the wrap came with pickles and/or onions. read more

Arrive at 1:15 and told the cashier that I had a pick-up order. Everyone behind the counter looked at me bewildered and then someone asked me if I had ordered online. I noted that I had and was given an explanation that sometimes the systems break down. With all due respect, I don't care about excuses. The restaurant owns the relationship with the online ordering system. If it doesn't work, disable it! I had to re-state my entire order and wait for it to be prepared. Good thing since we didn't have many options for a non-burger alternative before seeing a movie at the Embarcadero. It's really just a to-go place since there are only two stools at the window counter. Just as well since I could well imagine the line going out the door at lunchtime during the week. It was empty when we hit it, and I ordered the hefty $5.50 Beef and Lamb Falafel straight away. It comes with a hot sauce - a nice and different touch - and the combination was tasty and filling. The tomato and cucumber chunks were nice and crisp, and the yogurt sauce not too overwhelming. Service is on automatic pilot, but I didn't expect much given the set-up. I was tempted by the package of baklava on the counter, but I passed. If I worked in the area, I would definitely frequent this place since the rest of the block is filled with your standard fast food options.
