Oasis Texas Brewing Co. is one of my favorite breweries for a multitude of reasons. 1. The View - The view of Lake Travis from this vantage point is simply breathtaking. No matter what time of year it is or what the weather, the view is something to behold. This always provides for a phenomenal photo opportunity. Visitors to Austin are sure to be obsessed with the view alone. 2. The Beer + Food - Decent selection of beer and food here. I always enjoy breweries that serve food. Huge game changer in my opinion. 3. The Ambiance - The atmosphere on the breweries patio is great. Plenty of seating facing the lake or away from it. There are picnic tables for larger groups but there are also areas which could be for smaller groups as well. The fire pits on the colder days are always fun to sit around. The brewery does also have a few outdoor TVs near their bar which are good if you need to watch the Longhorns on a Saturday or you favorite NFL team on a Sunday. This atmosphere proves to be good for any age range, families, and dogs too. Overall, this is a great spot to visit. If possible I'd say to get there closer to noon when they open to avoid having to wait a while for drinks or food. Could the quality of the food be a little better? Yes. Could there be a little more variety within their beer list/selection? Yes. But even with that being said, just go check it out for yourself and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a bird's eye view of Lake Travis. Thank me later. read more

Austin classic, open for business. Always a great spot to stop at after a motorcycle ride around Volente and lime creek to relax, have some grub, and take in the view. They had everything well spaced out with markers on the ground, glass plates up between the cashier and customer, and menus throughout the line while you wait. The burger was very tasty, and was pretty much demolished in less than two minutes; a bit messy but so good. The fries were pretty good as well, a tad oily maybe, but crunchy and fresh. The only gripe is the price of the food, which sure it's part of the view and stuff but still hard to overlook. I don't think you could have a better location with a nicer view in Austin. With that said, the food and beer/frozen sangria were great, too! And the prices weren't over the top touristy prices, either! If it were closer I'd definitely go more often. Plenty of drink options, not just beer.. wine too, and frozen sangria which was nice for a 100 something degree day. Don't remember whether they had cocktails... The burgers were good too, we got an incrediburger and buffalo chicken burger. Buns were not soggy at all, and they were both tasty/filling, again not like a typical touristy place with expensive food that's mediocre, so it was a nice surprise. Oasis Brewing, come for the view. Food and beer are mediocre. Whenever we have friends visiting Austin, this usually is the spot we take them to enjoy lake travis. But we always provide them with a warning...the beer isn't the best and the food is totally overpriced. When we made a visit this past Saturday after a gap of 6 months , both of those truths still remain true. I was disappointed that they didn't have an IPA on tap, just a lager, two stouts and a golden ale. The food is mainly sandwiches, salads, burgers and bar shareables. Would love to see them expand their menu a little more to other things. Food prices are definitely a little higher because you're paying for the lake view. But boy that lake view is gorgeous. Highly recommend getting in a few hours before the sun sets if you want a premium table right next to the lake. It's the lake view that brings us back to Oasis Brewing over and over again. We've been here a few times now, and it's been consistent as far a food quality and beer. Their food is a little pricey for what you get, but it's tasty and the view is awesome. The menu is limited, and it'd be nice to see a monthly feature or something to change it up, but currently I don't see that offered. The staff is somewhat friendly, not the greatest by far. Most of them seem like they aren't the happiest to be there and are as dry as a desert, which isn't the best attitude to have when you work in the service industry. There's usually live music on the weekends which is nice and adds to the beautiful view, making your time there that much more enjoyable. Beautiful view of lake Travis- definitely come here at sunset it's breathtaking. It's an order at the counter grab a seat kind of place, so you have to fend for yourself when busy. There's live music playing every time I come on a weekend, and overall the ambiance is a very lovely casual vibe. Service was pretty bad-they gave us the wrong pager for our food so we were waiting a bit. When they finally understood what happened and gave us our food it was ice cold- they didn't want to reheat it. We were starving so just said whatever and took it cold. Food was ok, but that might be because ours was cold. We got the chicken wings and a fried chicken sandwich and a pretzel. Pretzel cheese was hard (because cold) but had great flavor. Bbq sauce on the wings wasn't my taste-it was very sweet and sugary- but the fried chicken sandwich was fantastic! I'd come back and just order that with fries next time. To start we ordered a few cocktails & appetizers for the table. Off the cocktail menu I ordered the strawberry margarita. My margarita was very refreshing & well mixed. I enjoyed two during our meal. Our appetizers included chips & salsa, the beef empanadas, Chicken nachos, & the Diablo chicken. My favorite being the chicken nachos which were very flavorful. The beef empanadas and the Diablo chicken were both ok. The salsa was bland but the chips were good enough on their own. For my entree I ordered the classic burger (without onions and tomatoes). Wow. Just wow. I wish I lived in Austin just for this place, better said, Oasis on Lake Travis makes you want to move to Austin lol. I was really impressed with the scenery and view of Lake Travis, the fact that parking is free and that this location is really affordable. This brewery offers an immense and spacious interior and exterior to enjoy your adult beverage and your company with a vining atmosphere and beautiful view. Honestly, this place is the place to be to hang out with friends and family or a date. :) The affordable local brewed beer is amazing. Fortunately, as I am not an avid beer drinker, this place had a Wisconsin sourced stout and I am grateful they had a seasonal stout to offer to those with a stout palate. That just made me so happy because I wanted to drink with my family. They do have a full bar on the 2nd level but we didn't want liquor. The bartendar, black guy with nice eyes and hair, was so patient and helpful. He even let us taste one of the crafted beer. Reason for this was because the website (menu via qsr code) was not updated to reflect what they had and we had to select what we wanted again lol. So he was just great and patient. My brother in law ordered some food which I think is not really worth it BUT if you didn't have the chance to eat and didn't want to drink on an empty stomach, then go for it. Made our way to The Oasis during a recent trip to Austin with some friends. It was definitely a bit away from the main city, but a beautiful scenic area. The Oasis is right on Lake Travis, and features a bunch of small stores and outdoor areas in the land surrounding it. We were there on a Friday afternoon, and surprisingly not a lot of stores were open, which was a bummer. Of course though, we were there for the brewery, which we were able to make it to. They offer plentiful indoor and outdoor seating; it was a nice sunny day so we opted for the outdoor seating. It was lovely outside but it was SO windy, even after we tried to switch locations outside. It was hard to keep our food from blowing away! The view was super nice though, so despite the wind, we appreciated the scenery surrounding us. For food / drink - of course, I focused on beers. I was a bit disappointed to learn that they didn't offer flights - they had a good number of offerings, it would make sense to do flights! Oh well, at least they offered half pours, so I was able to try 2; I went for the gose (kiwi dragonfruit) and the Oktoberfest. Both were OK, not the best ever beer but refreshing; I definitely favored the gose! My friends enjoyed their pours as well. For food, we all split some apps, going for the OTXBC trio, the bretzel, and the truffle fries. The trio was a bit disappointing - it was underwhelming and a little piecemeal (we had thought everything would be mixed together but it was just a pretzel on top of the chips with the dips on the side). The bretzel itself was tasty, but the sauce was interesting; we thought it came with queso, but the dip we received looked nothing like queso and was thick with chunks of something in it (pepper maybe?). It was tasty, but unidentifiable. Lastly, the truffle fries were the best option - they were nicely seasoned and crispy with a large volume. We all enjoyed those! The prices were relatively reasonable for what we got in terms of quantity and quality. Overall, we enjoyed our afternoon at Oasis Texas Brewing Company. The space is lovely with a great view, but the food and drink is just OK; you're definitely more there for the experience. I would definitely make it back to OTXBC during a next visit to Austin to try more beers and take in the nice view! read more

There was so much going on at this venue, so let me break it down based on my experience - 1. Views - INCREDIBLE. If there is one and only reason to visit this spot, it's for the view. All of their restaurants overlook Lake Travis. And it's stunning. 2. Space - there are multiple venues here - restaurants, brewery, cocktail lounge, some gift shops (closed as of Mar 2022). Every space has a viewing deck, which obviously gets filled fast. There was ample space inside and outside too. Each one is on different floor. And you cannot carry your drinks to the restaurant space as they don't have license. 3. Live music - there was no live music when I visited on a Friday. But they did have some pretty neat setups 4. Food - French fries was meh! Wait time was HUGE! 5. Cocktails - Skip them. Not worth it. Can't speak about the beer itself as I had not tried it. 6. Accessibility - about 30 mins from Austin, so not that much of a drive. Would come here again for the views I! read more

Stopped by with a friend after a day of hiking, and we came to OTBC for a cold beer. The yelp tips were useful. Just keep climbing all the stairs you can see until you get to the 3rd floor. Oasis TX Brewing is set up like a BJ's or your standard brewhouse. There are board games, a variety of seating arrangements, food, beers and serve-yourself waters. My friend and I were excited for their beers, so we both ordered flights. I also ordered the truffle aioli for us to share, and they were probably the best fries we've had in Austin in a hot minute. They are crispy, sliced phat, and come out hot. They hand you a buzzer if you order food, so you just go to the pick-up area to the left of the ordering stations once it buzzes. Flights of four were $12, and our truffle fries were $7. Prices seemed too high in my opinion--breweries don't usually charge over $10 for flights. However, this is currently one of the TWO breweries, we saw in this area after a hike, so OTBC can charge a bit more because the supply is low. Service was efficient and quick, but nothing too special. It's family-friendly and large-group-oriented. They have strong wifi, and an outdoor deck area too if you have dogs. Unfortunately for us, the wind was blowing heavily, so everybody retreated inside. The vibes here are spacious, clean, and new Americana. Have some family in town and wanted to take them somewhere to watch a good ol Texas sunset. OTBC has some of the absolute best views in all of Austin. Even on this cloudy day the sunset still peaked through and gave us a show. Drinks are good but food isn't really anything to write home about. Its more about the experience you get here for sure. They have a large parking garage and parking lot on site with plenty of free parking even on a busy night. There's also a golf cart shuttle to get you from the lot to the entrance if you need it, but it's also a walkable distance. Went up last weekend to meet some friends and had an incredible time!! Got there just in time to catch the band, Brother Thunder, starting up. Dang! Those guys really rocked! The venue was beautiful and we got to see the gorgeous sunset over Lake Travis. We tried the Buffalo wings and the patty melt. The burger was juicy, crispy, and delicious. The wings were tender, meaty, and seasoned to perfection. I got a Ghost Rita and a Mango Ghost Rita because we like them SPICY! Some of the best margaritas I've had in Austin!!
