I've been coming here for years and just thought to make a review, this place has NEVER let me down. My regular order is the Chicken Karrage, Animal Style Roll and Sunrise on 2nd. Sometimes I get sashimi or the spicy tuna on crispy rice or the firecracker tuna with the wonton chips. I've come here with just my husband and I or my whole family and the service is always amazing! Love the ambiance because it's a chill vibe and the play good music.

Such a hidden gem. This restaurant shared the same parking with the motel. Upon arriving, I didn't think much of it. We were greeted right away. We were told that it was their last call. However, when we sat down they allowed us to take our time and even let us ordered more than once. We really wanted their salmon skin salad, but they ran out. We got the fire cracker instead. This turned out to be one of my favs. The tuna was super fresh and yummy. It was so flavorful. The chip was crispy. Everything on that big crispy wonton chip blended so well. We also got the baked mushrooms. I was expecting it to be bigger, but it came with several pieces instead. It was super hot. It was also very good. The yellow jalapeño carpaccio was fresh as well. Each slice was not too thick nor too thin. The tangerine roll was surprisingly yummy. There was no seaweed. They used a very thin layer of something in the inside. Kind of look like soy paper but not sure. Service was amazing. The people there were nice and friendly. We mentioned that we liked the ginger. The male server brought out more for us. It was too much so we told him that we didn't need it. Very kind. I would love to return to try the other items. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Need to add more reviews for this sushi bar! It's my fav sushi bar to sit down on week days! I have been here so many times before! On dates, alone for happy hour, with group of friends and with group of family. It's my go to sushi bar. I like all the fresh quality seafood I get here. Sashimis are thick and fresh, the hand rolls are simple and addicting, rolls are tasty and fulfilling. I love to get hot sake when I go at the evening and cold beer at the noon time. Staffs are very friendly, and orders comes in with decent time. They can get busy during happy hour at lunch time. There's usually enough parking spots, but there's a couple street Parking spots as well. Happy Hour - current time is 3-6pm M-F.

Back again at OHO Sushi Studio for a quick happy hour bite with my girl and once again this spot does not miss We grabbed seats at the bar where our favorite sushi chef Sammy was behind the counter dishing up straight heat as usual. The man is consistent and that's a big part of why this place has become one of our go to spots in Long Beach. We kicked things off with quail egg shooters total umami bombs and a fun way to start the meal. From there we dove into salmon sashimi and salmon belly sashimi and both were exactly how you want them buttery, fresh, and melt in your mouth good. No fishy taste, just clean, rich flavor. For a hot bite we ordered the baked green mussels, which were a great appetizer savory, creamy, and perfect to share. Then it was roll time. We split a Double Tuna roll and the chef's special the "Sammy Delight" both were delicious as always. You can tell Sammy takes pride in his craft the flavor balance and textures on his creations always hit. We wrapped things up with a round of happy hour hand rolls, and every single one hit the spot Spicy Salmon, California, Salmon skin, and Tempura. All of them were tasty, fresh, and generously filled no skimpy rolls here even during happy hour. Service was friendly and efficient, and for the quality of fish you're getting, happy hour is a steal. Between the consistent food, the vibe at the bar, and Sammy doing his thing, this place has firmly earned its 5 stars from me. Already looking forward to the next visit.

You will see Don's Motel Neon sign before rhr oho sign , Shared same parking lot as Don's Motel . Salmon carpaccio and hamachi sashimi were mouth watering.

Oho is always a pleasure to dine in. They know how to party! I went for my birthday recently, and they turned on the disco lights and music and clapped! Afterwards, there was no awkward stares. Just a quick celebration, and then back to eating. Such a pleasant experience.

Their rolls are my favorite I've had in all of Los Angeles (even though they're in Long Beach)! Staff brings out all the rolls SUPER fast & most staff are extremely nice! Always have soccer & hockey going on the tv's with music overhead! Best place for dates/multi-person outings!!!

OK, so we lived across the street for over a year and for some reason we just never decided to go in but I was on yelp one day and I saw the rating reviews and I said let's just walk over here. And this is one of those five star hidden gems in Long Beach. The place was booming with business. Every table was sad, but we were able to sit down really quickly, which was nice. They have all of my favorites, such as the spicy tuna crispy rice, spicy garlic, edamame, and tons of amazing rolls! I've gone twice. The first time I went. I did a bento box and I would recommend sticking to the sushi! We're definitely coming back over and over !

This spot is walking distance from our apartment. Since we love sushi, wanted to give this place a try, especially after hearing about their happy hour. We went on a sunday and I myself came in ready to try one of their bento boxes. In it was a roll of avocado salmon, edamame, white rice, a delicious salad and steak teriyaki. Every part of it was very good and I enjoyed the melody of it all. My girlfriend had a spicy tuna hand roll, a spicy salmon hand tool and a specialty rool from their menu. We also split a Sapporo which was nice and cold. The service was good and it wasn't crazy busy. The prices are affordable and we cant wait to come back sometime.

Tom Kha - loved the straw mushrooms that use in it!! The chicken was tender and perfect. Yellow Curry - delightful. Never had jackfruit before so it was interesting having that in the curry, but it looks like chicken, just a gummier texture. Flavor and spice of the curry was great. Loved the bogo free deal! Pineapple Fried Rice - good but a little too spicy for my liking which is my fault for picking level 3 spice, but the container was packed to the brim, making it worth the money. The papaya salad was fresh and flavorful, but the spice level was overwhelming. I can usually handle spicy food, but I found myself reaching for water constantly. The heat came from large pieces of bird's eye chili that were concentrated in certain bites. I think the dish would have been more balanced if the spice had been distributed more evenly. We also ordered the roti with curry sauce. The curry was flavorful, though the roti was a bit oily for my preference. The beef tartare was heavily cured and seasoned. While interesting, I would have preferred more of the natural flavor of the beef to come through. They have a good selection of options so there's likely going to be something for everyone. Highly recommend the Thai boat noodles - the broth is very rich and flavorful, definitely in my top 5. I will say that service can be very inconsistent. From my more recent experiences (multiple visits across the last year or two), I noticed a pattern where the servers are quick to seat you and take your order, but then you don't hear from them again until you flag them down (if you need anything or want to get the check, for example). I'm not saying that check-ins throughout the meal are required, but they would be nice gestures. Also having to wait around to contact a server just to pay can be a bit inconvenient... The ambiance is nice, it has modern decorations and there's a good amount of interior seating. Now I know why they put it in a plastic bag when delivered. The sauce spilled in the bag. I had to pour it back in the container when opened. I don't think that's very sanitary or even proper way for the sauce to be put in the papaya salad. They could have at least put the sauce in a separate container for me to add. Food: -Green papaya salad (som tom): Like I said the sauce spilled all in the bag (see pic). Other than that, it was really good. It has a little kick to it. But I feel like the sauce could have been served on the side. -House special crispy pork belly: It was really delicious. It has good flavor. The breading on the pork gives it a nice crunch and pairs well with the sauces provided. -Roti with peanut dipping sauce: The texture of the roti was really soft with an easy bite. And it pair well with the peanut sauce we got. The peanut sauce was a little bit liquidy for my liking, but overall it had a good taste. Rey peanut forward. -Pad Thai with shrimp: The noodles were cooked perfect. The noodles on the bottom however did stick together (after it sits there for a while). But once you mix everything, you get a good bite - the noodles, bits of egg, bean sprouts. I do wish there was an option to request more lemon/lime. I like to add a lot on mine. I definitely recommend this place. Their menu also had a lot of other yummy food options to choose from.

My daughter finished her meal and I had enough for lunch the next day. Overall we had an amazing time at SpicySugar Thai and I'm coming back for the Calamari, whole Fried Fish and Thai Papaya Salad. Our food was a 20/10 meal for sure. And I highly recommend that you try this restaurant. Just me Shawn C.

Delightful dinner and service! Casual spot but the food was top notch. Our server was sweet,…read morefriendly and attentive. We stuck to the basics for our meal, but I thought they were some of the best I've had! Our spring rolls were huge. I usually prefer a thinner, more acidic dipping sauce but their house sauce was actually perfect! I think it was a hoisin based creation. The entrees were well prepared and flavorful, with the perfect amount of spice. The pad thai was delicious, authentically drier versus saucy. Eaten with the curry it was a divine bite. The Panang curry sauce was addictive. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items! We found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant, and it was a 30 minute but the hostess said it was no problem. There is also a lot nearby that I'm sure patrons of the many small businesses in this neighborhood use.

Checked out S T Noodle Bar today and had a good experience!…read more We were eating with an infant so high chair friendly was a must. We were greeted and helped right away and got a place in the restaurant that fit us well. We ordered the veggie spring roll, tofu soup, beef pad thai and tom yum. The veggie spring roll tasted fresh and the sauce added a nice layer of flavor. Off the bat, the portion sizes for the tom yum and pad thai were VERY generous (from my experiences with Thai restaurants). The pad thai stood out and was absolutely delicious! The service did great with helping us out and attending to our requests. The ambiance was relaxed, and where we sat in the back was cool because there was upbeat music playing loud enough to muffle the surrounding sounds but still soft enough to have conversation at our table without needing to raise our voice. Overall, I'm glad I gave S T Noodle Bar a try! I'd recommend it!
