I have returned!! I was craving this place so much during these hard COVID times, and it was so worth it! The tricolor sujebi's soup was warm and seafood-y, as there was kelp as well as some clams and some potatoes in the soup! If you like something simple, savory and warm, this sujebi should be your go to order! The sujebi and soup were packaged separately for to go. The sujebi did stick together when I got it to go but it still tasted great! Went for a 20 minute drive back home and the soup was piping hot! The soondae is great! I don't normally have good experiences with soondae as it can sometimes be a horrible texture, but I love the soondae from this place! The chicken feet comes with some tteok (ricecakes) and it's not crazy spicy but still pretty spicy! My lips are tingling after eating it. I wish they had a boneless option, but i'm really happy with this already! Overall so happy with my big lunch, and my leftovers will be my dinner! This whole thing costed around $50, but was so worth it because I still have more than half of everything left but my stomach is about to explode. Doesn't look like much but Old Noodle House has some great mains... you can get a typical Korean bulgogi or kalbi bbq dish but they have some incrediblly authentic and tasty noodles and broth dishes that are good. Their main attraction is the their Homemade Noodle Soup. In the broth are homemade knife cut noodles and a few dumplings immersed in a very tasty broth. It comes with a side of kimchi which is one of my favorites I have tried and it goes great with the noodles. Also included is a pickled radish side. It is a big meal of noodles so you won"t go home hungry. They have very good Spicy Pork Stew... the meat falls right off the bones in a tasty spicy pork broth that you can tell is boiled over a linf period of time to make it so tender. One of the better ones I have had. They have a variety of other dishes. I like that they specialize in set of dishes and it seems consistent. Don't let the looks fools you, even their simlle Korean dishes (nothing is ever simple in a korean dish) have a nice touch that I don't see very often. read more

I was visiting LA for 5 days and where I stayed near I saw this spot on yelp many times. However, didn't catch my eye when I was driving by so I went to In-N-Out. 2 days after LA started to get really hot around 105 degrees. Wanted to grab lunch but was craving something light and cold. Koreans love to eat cold noodles on a hot day. So I drove past the restaurant and made a U-turn in to the parking space. From the outside the restaurant doesn't seem much. I parked the car in the back and walked around to the entrance. The staff was nice and seated me. I asked what is popular or something they could recommend which they choose couple for me. I ordered: Cold Arrowroot noodle: This is one of the popular dish on a hot summer days after work our parents would make this dish. Reminded me of my mom's cooking. The flavor was just right. The noodles were cooked just right. Mixed Dumplings: I am about 80% sure they handmade the dumplings. Handmade dumplings are time consuming as our generation just buys from the mart. I honestly have to give this place a five star solely for their pork neck bone soup with potato and service. I was enticed by the pictures when I was looking for local Korean food. I love pork neck bone so seeing the reviews and pictures made me crave it- first of all- for the price you're definitely getting your money's worth. It's definitely shareable or you will definitely have leftovers. Another thing to note is that when you eat this you have to be open with eating with your hands and really getting in there with the bones. The meat is definitely tender but to get all of it you have to take the bones apart. The potato is delicious since it's soaked in the sauce that's made up of oil and I'm guessing chili spices? The radish that comes as a banchan definitely helps neutralize your palette and they give you free refills! Their kimchi banchan that also comes along with the dish is delicious and I personally ate two bowls of it. The dish comes with a huge stainless steel bowl on the side to toss your finished bones in which is convenient and easy clean up for them. The two lady's that attended to us were so friendly and didn't make us feel out of place. I think I just found my go-to spot for Korean noodles in Gardena! I've driven by this place so many times and finally got around to checking this restaurant out and I'm so glad I did. It has a mom-and-pop type of feel and the waiters are super nice. They even gave us gimbap while we were waiting for our entrees to come out. In hindsight, we probably ordered too much food, not knowing that the portion sizes would be huge. For starters, we got the spicy rice cake with ramen noodles. It's listed as an appetizer but it can definitely be someone's entree if they wanted. It was certainly on the spicy side but you can't go wrong with chewy rice cakes! For our entrees, we got the kimchi handmade noodles and the spicy dough flake soup with beef. It was my first time having dough flake soup and it was amazing! Both dishes were so hearty and comforting on a chilly night. The broth was tasty and super flavorful. I really enjoyed the handmade dough flakes and noodles. They were so chewy! Ok my last review still stands but we need to talk about how the "small" or "not large" pork neck stew I got was a catering tray. Look at it! Was this a mistake? Did I win the stew lottery? I ate for a week! And it was absolutely delicious! I felt like I got the world's best deal combined with the very nice ladies who work there. A Chef here. This was my second time visiting old time noodle house. It is still fairly new to me and i'm not sure if this place is underrated or not but i think it is. Great service. It's a hole in the wall vibe but that's what i like about this place. I ordered the spicy pork combo with cold noodle and it was incredible. Pork is not too spicy, slightly fatty, hot and awesome. The sides were also perfect. Crunchy cucumbers, beautifully flavored spicy bright red kimchi and pink pickled radish. My waitress was kind in explaining how to add mustard and vinegar to cold noodles to have it in the traditional way and I was in love with it. I would come to Old Time Noodle House when I'm in the mood for hot soups. I usually get their pork bone soup and the spicy beef dough flake soup. Both are huge portions, especially the pork bone soup which is enough to feed 3 to 4 people (see photos of the huge to-go pots). It's a hearty soup that comes with a bowl of rice. I do wish they offered the pork bone soup in a smaller portion though. I usually have leftovers for days... The fried meat dumplings are also really good as well as the spicy rice cakes. It's time for another update on this amazing Korean restaurant. Lisa and her staff regularly exceed our expectations, and today was no exception. It's crazy, really, that they are able to be so good day in and day out, year after year. The food is delicious and homemade. (I know it's a restaurant, but I'm telling you, it's made in their kitchen, on site, with fresh ingredients). We have tried pretty much everything on the menu, but I'm basically addicted to the following: Gamja tang, Galbi, and Steamed Dumplings. Mmm, mmm, mmm. The best ever. The kimchi is so fresh and seasoned perfectly. It's a perfect accompaniment for any of their entrées. The service is great. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful. My wife found this one. Location in an ok area. Easy parking. The place is a little outdated, with no AC. I can't imagine how hot it would be during the summer. Friendly staff. The food was pretty good, and portions to price were fair. The only memorable thing dish was the crab raman. I generally don't order raman because I feel it's a cheap noodle, and too many places sell it as being a premium dish. The Crab Raman changed my outlook of raman. Nice flavor and portion was good. I just recalled that the seafood pancake was also good. I would recommend trying this place, but we would not go out of our way to go back if it was not convenient. read more

It had been awhile since I visited this place, but my coworker wanted noodles and I wanted Korean food, so we decided to eat here during our lunch break on a Friday afternoon at 1 pm. We were seated promand they took our orders, brought out the barley tea and kimchi very quickly! I ordered the kimchi hand pulled noodles. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with meat, but that's my fault for not asking. The bowl is HUGE! The soup itself was delicious and had a wonderfully spicy and fragrant taste. It was packed with kimchi, vegetables and a few potatoes (it's a carb-heavy meal for sure!). The noodles were good too-- not really as chewy as I would have liked, but still had a nice consistency. I couldn't finish it so had to pack the rest to go. The next day, as expected, the noodles were soggy, but the soup was still good. The radish pickles and cabbage kimchi that they brought out were decent. It looks like they mixed beets in with the radishes-- I tried a beet and spit it out haha. The radishes were crunchy with a little kick to it. The kimchi was thicker than normal, but nice and spicy and flavorful. My coworker got the traditional (non spicy) handmade soup, which came with dumplings. Maybe I'll try that one out next time. read more
