Very solid casual breakfast/lunch place. Been wanting to try for awhile and we finally stopped in around 11am on a Sunday. It was busy but line moved quick. We got the peach danish, breakfast burrito and turkey club. Dare I say the turkey club was our favorite? The milk bread and ingredients were so fresh and yummy. Burrito was ok - not huge on chorizo & pastry was solid. We also got a cold brew which we enjoyed!

What a cute little pick me up spot! I while I was doing my morning stroll and decided to walk in, and I'm glad I did! The vibes are so chill and I feel like you can come here and study and have a good thing to munch on and a good drink. I got a sugar free vanilla matcha and it was pretty darn good, I think next time I'll try their strawberry matcha and get something to eat! The workers were so sweet and I feel like they were all competing to see who could say good morning first. Very sweet and warm welcome.

We ordered some food for takeout, and it was amazing for traveling 20 minutes. I'd be super excited to see what it tasted like served fresh. Flavor profiles were deep and robust, the portions were generous, and the food was high quality. The staff even allowed us to try a couple of their homemade bakery items. I can understand why this place always has a line out the door!

Breakfast burrito = BOMB! And the salsa with the burrito was also BOMB! Banana bread latte was okay for me but I'd love to try more of their coffees. Also the service was great! Very friendly people in the morning. I was only in and out for my breakfast so I did not get to experience much of the ambiance. I would like to go to eat there one of these days.

Slightly let down. I had been wanting to try this spot for a while. There was a bit of a wait and a line to order that stayed pretty constant the whole time we were there. The hostess was friendly and answered all my questions. The coffee itself was decent, but I didn't really pick up on the banana or brown sugar flavors. The banana bread was good but not memorable. My breakfast burrito was really good and I would recommend trying it. It had a slight spice that I really enjoyed. My fiancé got the biscuit breakfast sandwich, which was not great. The biscuit was dry and lacked flavor. Cute restaurant, but it fell a bit short for me.

My friend and I came for brunch Sunday morning and it was pretty busy. We waited in line to order at the counter and shared a table with 2 other nice customers as the seating was full. I got the cast iron baked egg and it was a solid dish, I liked that it was a bit different from a standard brunch offering. It's pretty minimalistic inside and there's a patio at the back but I didn't go out there since it was hot out.

Get the pork chile verde (Tiernan made the recommendation and it was perfect), quiche with ham, chive and Gruyère cheese, the blueberry and lemon loaf (I didn't taste the lemon which was great for me) and the strawberry matcha hot substitute with oat milk. Everything was perfect! I did have to add a little extra strawberry syrup to the matcha just to amp the strawberry notes (thanks Izzy). The service was excellent and the ambiance was cute for both indoor and outdoor seating options. I sat at the high top facing the street and it was nice. Definitely going back when I am back in town. Check them out and enjoy!

What an amazing spot! We highly recommend trying it if you haven't. Concept: stand in line, order, seat yourselves. There is seating in the backyard which is very cute and shaded. We tried: brown sugar iced espresso 9.5/10 wish it was more coffee involved. Grapefruit tonic espresso 9/10 My husband loved it. Sunny burrito 10/10 The green salsa that comes with it is spicy but delicious Biscuit & Gracy with an egg added 8/10 Very flavorful but wish the plate was a flat one to where the egg yoke wouldn't mix with the gravy. Tres leches cake 10/10 It was perfectly moist not overly wet with the milk. (HUGE shoutout to Aisha, she found us the last piece of it) Cinammon Roll 8/10 The outside was crispy and the inside was moist. The only thing I will say that because it's so busy, we had to park across the street and it does take sometime for you to get your food. The food was hot when it got to us so it was literally only because of how busy they are. Overall, we are looking forward to coming back next time we're in AZ.

Small indoor seating but fans and misters outside. Went mid morning on a Friday and it was popping. Egg skillet was great flavors but the egg was overcooked. Carrot cake didn't make it for a photo (clearly we were hungry for our breakfast appetizer) - it was ok but kind of dry. 2 egg breakfast looks sad on the photo but it's what we ordered. Croissant was decent but not the best - at least it wasn't par baked food distributor style so I'll take it.

First time trying Ollie vaugh's and honestly, this place will be one of my go to spots and also a place where I can recommend everybody to try out. It is truly amazing. By far, one of the best turkey clubs I have ever tried. I'm honestly rating this sandwich 9.5/10! And also to by far one of the best lattes, I've tried I'm obsessed with vanilla and honey lattes and this one just seems to be perfected. They offer a ton of pastries, which are also really good! They also have probably one of the best tasting biscuits and gravy(I couldn't take a pic. It was too good.) They offer indoor seating and outdoor patio space. The music is also a vibe The staff here is really friendly!! If you're in town check this place out it won't disappoint!

How has it taken me so long to visit this place!??? Every time I come across it the reviews are so good I think I have to go, and yet, I only just did this last weekend and WOW. Definitely lives up to the reviews. This is absolutely a gem. There is parking to the right (if you're facing the building) and parking across the street. The parking to the left has tow signs and Ollie Vaughn's has a very helpful sign out front saying yes those businesses tow even when they are closed! Sooo I moved my car. There was a line of about 10-12 people but as others note, it moves pretty fast! As you come up to the pastry case, you're almost there, and standing there is the perfect time to pick some sort of sweet, which you absolutely should. Then you order and get a number sign and go find a table. If there's a big table and room, join some folks. We got the lemon cake and it came out first and made a great appetizer. Hey, it's fruit! Very moist and perfect sweetness level. My friend said it went great with tea -- of which they have a pretty large selection. Even though you order at front, servers do bring water out and your food and clear plates. They seem very on top of things! We both got the cast iron baked egg which was FANTASTIC and despite our hunger neither of us could finish. It's a lot and very rich. Ok and we had cake first. But it's soo good. I especially loved the mushrooms in it. It comes with plenty of delicious toasted "good bread" (I don't know what kind specifically but like good crusty bakery bread) for dipping in all the sauciness and yolk. All the food around looked delicious, even the breakfast sandwich looked amazing and I usually think that's a boring. Theirs doesn't look boring at all, and the quiches looked so good! I will definitely be back.

Stopped here in a small time crunch while in the area for two nights. Upon putting this on our list of breakfast options, I looked at their menu, which of course was changed when we came here. Wasn't the worst thing but I would have liked to have the sandwich or burrito. Instead we got pastries and I an apple juice. The ham and cheese croissant was very good - tasted great and for its size had a nice filling of meat and cheese. The almond croissant was also very good and flaky while still being fresh. The main issue though was the timeliness of service. They took way too long for some pastries and a quiche. The quiche took forever. Would try it - hope the regular menu is back then

The ambiance was super chill, with great music that made the whole place feel relaxed and inviting. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Ordering is simple--you place your order at the counter, choose wherever you'd like to sit, and they bring the food out to you. I went with the Sunny Burrito, and it did not disappoint. It was packed with hashbrowns, chorizo, and a perfectly runny egg that tied everything together. Every bite was flavorful, and it was definitely filling. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily come back to try more of the menu. Thumbs up.

First time eating here and enjoyed my cast iron baked eggs. At first thought the portion was small but after I began eating it with the two small corn tortillas it was really filling, I wasnt able to go back to the counter for dessert. Will come back to try the pastries soon. read more

I didn't have any expectations for our lunch here but it was really, really good! We were nearby so we decided to stop in and it was a great decision. There's a gravel lot next to it for parking, but once you walk in you're transported into a hip little spot. Indoor and outdoor seating, good music, and smallish but tasty menu with breakfast and lunch options. They also have some baked goods and coffee if you want to go that route. The three of us ordered the tuna salad sandwich on sourdough, the American breakfast, a side of fruit, and the chicken salad sandwich on wheat. We were all super pleased with or picks. I had the tuna and it was one of the better tuna salad sandwiches I have ever had. They add jalapeño marmalade which gives it a twist that's tasty and not too hot of a kick. I highly recommend! I would definitely come back if I was nearby. Service was friendly too. read more

This breakfast spot is so worth visiting! There is a little back patio with a small garden that was shady and perfect for brunch dates. The food is pricey but it was delicious. The ham and cheese croissant was especially crispy and flakey! The line was long but the girl at the counter is efficient and sweet. read more

This is a cute cafe. However, the oat latte I got was disappointing and not worth the price. It was thin and had no body or creaminess. It is definitely not third-wave coffee beans. Also, it was extremely loud, even on a Wednesday morning, and the WiFi can be painfully slow, so it was an awful environment for doing work and making calls. I tried to sit in the outdoor space in the back, but there aren't outlets there and it got too hot for even my laptop to function in. Overall, it was a subpar experience for me. read more

Ollie Vaughns never disappoints. Baked goods, sandwiches, coffee - it's all yummy. Wish there were a few more indoor tables, but not room for that. Parking across the street kinda sucks as there is no crosswalk there - feels very dangerous - try to park to the East of their building on the same side of the street if you can. We go here every time we are in Phoenix. A+ read more

Wow - it's all so good. The Mexican dishes are especially great. It's all made from scratch and the coffee is fantastic as well. Get there early or expect a line (but it moves fast and there is ample outdoor seating if the inside fills up). read more

Thought we'd try someplace new. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Staff was friendly but service was spotty. Had to ask several times for our coffee and when it came it was tepid at best. Food was delicious and the pastry choices are wonderful...if only the coffee was hot. They have one of those pump coffee urns that never keep the coffee hot enough. Probably won't go back again. Bill for 2 breakfasts, 1 pastry, 2 coffees, and a 15% tip = $55!!!!! read more

We've come here for breakfast twice now and this place really shines through with their pastries. If you need a sticky bun or croissant or slice of cake--this is your place! Their breakfast menu is tasty but nothing that especially stands out. I have gotten the breakfast sandwhich and lemon ricotta pancakes, both of which met my expectations, although were more expensive than I would have liked. Additionally, if you want to sit inside you'll have to arrive early in the morning since it fills up rather quickly. read more

Stopped in for the first time today. Really nice place. Ordered a bacon egg croissant with gruyere cheese and green chili. IT WAS AMAZING! The croissant was so flaky and tasty. The bacon was flavorful and in every bite. The green chili just added to all the deliciousness. The location is clean and quaint with a small area outside that looked pleasant. All the baked goods in the case looked fantastic as well. Did not have coffee today. Definitely next time. I absolutely will be back. Maybe a lot. read more

Dainty little restaurant with suburb dishes. Delicious vegan options and outstanding service. It's a tiny shop but the ambiance makes it feel much larger. The prices are very fair and they have plenty of parking, I drive a large SUV. Just go here, I can tell you they don't disappoint. read more

Initially I was planning on getting a sandwich somewhere, but my friends said I needed to try this spot. After agreeing to go, and enjoying my meal... it's been cemented in my mind that I have really good friends! We visited around 11:30am, and I thought they would be serving lunch or something..NO! They serve breakfast all day! And it's good!! Really good! One friend ordered the biscuits and gravy, another ordered a breakfast plate, and I ordered biscuit and chili Verde with an over easy egg. Amazing breakfast!!! I ordered the Pork Chile Verde and I'm telling you... "out of this world"!!! This place is pretty popular so expect a line to get in, but the wait is so much worth it!!! This is a small place so seating is limited, so expect communal table seating. Overall, delightful experience. Warning: Park on the east side of the building! A guy I follow on Instagram talked about this restaurant saying that they have the best breakfast around - after looking online and seeing the pics of the food I knew I had to stop by. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, a side of eggs, and a latte. This place is an "order at the counter and seat yourself" establishment so the only time you come across a "waiter" is when someone brings you your food. When I visited, I went solo and I sat outside which was lovely except for the large amount of flies. After having my food delivered, I asked if I could have utensils and my "waiter" said that utensils are actually inside. I had hoped that he would have offered to grab them for me so I could stay with my food and protect it from the flies but he walked off without offering anything. Of course as soon as I got up from my seat to grab utensils myself, the flies swarmed and one drowned itself in my latte. I brought the rest of my food inside with me and put it on the table where someone else was sitting (which was awkward but I didn't have another option) while I asked for another latte (they happily made me another) and grabbed my utensils. Overall, the food was AMAZING but the service was meh (but I wonder if I can really be mad because this isn't a typical restaurant with traditional servers). read more

Love this place! Found it over four years ago as I used the catering service for my daughter's bridal shower, everyone loved the food. Every time I'm in town it's my preferred go to place for breakfast, with that said...today was a bit of a disappointment. Early morning flight into Phoenix, so of course Ollie Vaughn's before we head home to Tucson. Waited in line for about 15 minutes, that's fine food and coffee worth the wait. They're out of my favorite, again, but I knew it was a possibility as they run out of the biscuits and sausage gravy pretty early, it's how I end up trying so many of the other breakfast items because I hardly ever get there early enough to partake in the gravy train. So I tried the baked eggs and had the cardamom dirty chai latte. Latte was so good, baked eggs were a total miss for me. The eggs were supposed to be poached...mine were like medium boiled eggs. I also think the use of prosciutto in a hot dish is also a misstep IMHO. When I'm disappointed with food I don't return it, I just don't eat it. So I all but drained my chai and left hungry...but I will be back again. read more

Drove out from the far east valley too give it a try. As soon as you walk in, there's a counter and case, filled with pastries, quiches and desserts.. And that's just the start. They've got a menu with quite a few other breakfast and lunch items. Everything looked amazing, tasty fresh, you name it. I got a breakfast sandwich and my wife got a cast-iron skillet with hatch, green chilies and a couple poached eggs. The biscuit on the breakfast sandwich was flaky. It was dense.. it is the way a southern biscuit should be. The hatch green chilies had this sauce that was just outstanding. The eggs were a little overcooked and not runny the way the yolks were supposed to be. However, it did not take away from the entirety of the dish. Khaim four pieces of toast, which was just good for dipping into bad sauce. I kept stealing pieces and bites from my wife's. Dish. The place seemed pretty busy, but that did not take away from the SERVICE. They were still pretty quick with bringing out the food. such a gem of a place! i went on a weekday morning and enjoyed the patio by myself. ordered one of their specialty hot teas with caramel (delicious), a blueberry almond croissant (in my top 3 croissants that i've ever had), and the lemon ricotta pancakes which were served warm & fresh. i also picked up a chilled bottle of prosecco that my husband and i got to enjoy on our anniversary - so tasty! the gal who took my order was friendly and helped recommend certain menu items as it was my first time dining with them. i will definitely be back, highly recommend! read more

The food here was pretty good, the coffee was fantastic and the ambiance is amazing. Great patio, the only issue is that this place is usually far too busy for their capacity so I've usually ended up just standing near the front hoping a table opens up. Great place with creative food - but not crazy weird creative. On point Cubano, nice spicy sweet twist on a tuna salad sandwich and killer quiche. If that's not enough, the cappuccino was excellent and the baked goods are the best we've had in a long time...and we are picky picky picky. Can't wait to go back for the hoisin meatloaf. read more

Great place. Good food and service. Do not park in the parking lot on west side of restaurant. There is a predatory tow trucker who will tow your truck within 5 minutes of you parking there. He is not nice and will ask you for bribes so you can get your car back. read more

This time, a lunch meeting brought me back and I knew whatever I got, it would include the short-rib skewers, which I got as an add-on for my Yaki Soba dish. The service was top notch, led by Joshua (I believe!). The only drawback to this place is parking, which is non-existent except for valet or the nearby garage. The decor is super adorable, but honestly, the food is what really stood out. We ordered the Tom Kha, Pad Thai, and combination fried rice, and everything was so good. The Pad Thai had amazing flavor. We got everything at a medium spice level, which was perfect for me. I also loved that they let you choose from mild all the way up to extra Thai hot...my fiancé loves super spicy food, so that was a big plus since not every place offers that. We ate everything between the two of us. That's how good it was. The service was also great. He kept checking in on us without being over the top, which I appreciated.

We were waiting to be seated for 20 minutes and then other customers started ordering takeout. The owner didn't seat us, even though there were empty tables, but prioritized the takeout customers. We eventually went online to order takeout. Waited over an hour in total to get our food. I don't know why the owner didn't direct us to order takeout instead since he wasn't seating anyone anymore. We never would have been seated because the owner never said anything to us. Service is horrible, and the owner did nothing to make up for his mistake. I will say that the other workers were all very nice and did their best. It must be tough working for a boss who makes mistakes like these. He just disappeared for a while when his workers were busting their butts in the kitchen and front of house. The food was good, so I'll give this place two stars instead of one.

I don't believe the server knew how to handle the less than formal style of the group I was with, but they did not turn us away and provided phenomenal service. The drinks had elegant garnish, and were well made. The most complicated might have been a vodka soda, but the additional touch was nice. For a start we ordered the oysters, which was kept everyone stuck between being nice and fair, and wanting to take all for themselves. We also ordered the octupus which was very good. For my main, I had the salmom rillete. Well made and pesented - I only thought to take pictures after I ate. Our group was never rushed for the bill and we enjoyed a beautiful evening sitting on their porch. I am looking forward to going back more "prepared" and enjoying their seabass or beef bourguignon.

I chose to sit at the bar, which turned out to be the best decision. I tried the oysters, the escargot, and the burnt Madeleine dessert--each one was absolutely delicious. But the highlight of my experience was the bartender. He was young, charismatic, and made such great conversation. As a visitor, he made me feel genuinely welcome, which really elevated the entire experience. I believe his name was John C. (though for some reason I thought it was Liam!). Either way, he was fantastic. The gimlet he made incredible and expresso martini even better. I would highly recommend this restaurant--definitely sit at the bar if you can!

Was just assaulted outside by a staff member at my car for money. Called an order in, arrived on time for order to be ready. Was told to go to the back of the line. Waited 20 minutes with no movement in line while food sat there. got the attention of a separate staff who gave me the bag and said I was good to go sorry for the wait, I thought I was fine as directed by staff. Then the first staff comes to my car yelling at me that i'm stealing, takes my photo and continued to yell at me. I was so clearly not aware I was doing something wrong I opened my car door and asked what's going on. If I was trying to steal why would I stop?? i was shaking scared asking to please stop yelling at me I am not trying to steal that the staff gave it to me and said it was okay to go. He doesn't care what mistakes on their end caused this, continues to yell at me until he's taken $15 cash from my physically. No matter what miscommunications happened this was in no way okay to do. to chase a woman down and shake her down for more than the value of the now cold and disgusting sandwich blows my mind. Get your staff under control. If i wasn't scared for my physical well being to the point i basically gave up cash to get through it, I would have called the cops. I advise anyone against supporting this business. One staff says go another assaults me for more than the value of the food in the first place. The guy seemed angry from the start I had a to go order on a weekend but you all took and placed the order. not my fault. read more

Stopped by this cozy little spot and was so glad I did--mostly. First, let's talk about the chorizo burrito: absolutely fantastic. Packed with flavor, just the right amount of spice, the eggs were great, and the crunchy hash browns were the best part for me. The portion was generous too, which I appreciated since we shared. Then came the coffee cake, and wow--hands down one of the best I've had. Moist, buttery, with that perfect crumbly topping. I'd come back for that alone. The only miss was the cappuccino. The espresso had a bitter, almost burnt taste that overpowered everything else. I usually love a strong coffee, but this tasted more like someone left the shot in the machine too long. All in all, I'd absolutely return for the food and pastries--they're knocking it out of the park there. I'll just skip the cappuccino next time and grab one somewhere else. read more

Forgive the lack of photos - we were too eager to taste everything! My wife's spicy Paloma was a revelation: perfectly balanced, wonderfully refreshing, and finished with a delightful, lingering warmth. We opted to share the biscuits and gravy, and it was a showstopper. Without a doubt, this is the most memorable biscuits and gravy I've had the pleasure of eating in Phoenix in decades. The gravy, rich with Schreiner's sausage, had that quintessential peppery punch that defines a truly great sausage gravy. The biscuit was a masterpiece of home-style baking - dense yet tender, with an impeccable crumb. I had the pleasure of dining at Ollie Vaughn's recently, and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. The vibe is cozy yet refined, with a staff that's both friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food? Wow. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell they really care about quality and it shows in every bite. The cocktails were also a highlight - creative, well-balanced, and just the right amount of kick. I will say that the prices are on the higher side, so it's definitely more of a splurge. But when you get food this good and service to match, it feels completely justified. My client took me here to eat lunch with 2 other coworkers. 3 of us had the the tuna sandwich and wow it was amazing!!!! It had this jalapeño jelly. It sounds nasty but it was the best tasting jam that I ever had lol. I usually don't like jam at all but this was so good. The tea I got was lavender and I let I didn't like it as much because it was odd bitter taste. My coworker liked it though. The environment was cozy, bright, and comfortable. read more
