It' s pretty bad when the rice is the best part of your meal. Had the shrimp & grits with BBQ sauce on the side (thank goodness). Hubby had fried chicken, w/garlic potatoes (inedible) and whole kernal corn (straight from a can). Coffee was so bitter, didn't even enjoy that (it was a fresh pot). They had a gluten free menu! I don't have celiac so I didn't ask about dedicated grills & fryers. The wait staff was pleasant & responsive. I had the grilled chicken sandwich on gluten free bun. It wasn't very flavorful but it was decent. And I didn't get sick. read more

My family and I ate here last night for dinner. We had a big party of 21 so didn't expect fast service. Our waiter was also a performer and was singing on stage as we arrived. The menu was small, but I didn't mind that. Food was very good! I had the fried chicken with sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese. All of it was tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It took a while to get our drinks, but the food came out pretty fast. I would definitely recommend, especially if you're staying in the inn or a hotel nearby. Mediocre food but the entertainment was pretty good. Various wait staff performed favorite country songs which was a novelty. Hubby liked his brisket sandwich. We ate here while on our vacation and it was fantastic. Our waiter was Preston and he was outstanding!! He offered menu suggestions and was knowledgeable about the smoking process and the BBQ sauces. The menu had a large verity and is reasonable priced. I had the brisket sliders with Tennessee BBQ sauce and they were great. The atmosphere here is awesome. Went there today with my wife and Mom after touring the Opryland Hotel. The brisket, catfish and burger we ordered came out in a short while and was all very good. Our server, Tamara, was very attentive and did a spectacular job. Definitely ask for her when you eat here. Don't overpay at The Opryland Hotel for a meal. Drive a quarter mile north and try the Opry Backstage Grill. read more

We were the first customers of the day and the food was "luke warm" and the food lacked flavors. We specifically had the Buffalo Chicken dip "lots of dark meat" which was a turn off, the chips were stale and the meatloaf sandwich was as plain as a pressed meat patty that had been backed in the oven. To say the least we were very disappointed since this was our last meal in Nashville. Hope to save someone the same disappointment by providing this review. read more

I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was served overflowing the bun and in fact, it was quite good. My company had a burger which was also very good. What was really good? The singing waiter. I went there to meet family from a far. All the waiters there are EXTREMELY handsome and nice! Whenever we ordered our food, it came out pretty darn fast! I ordered the briskest and chocolate cobbler. They were delicious!!! It awesome how the singers are waiters and waitress trying to make a living while starting their music career. read more

Went to this place before the Opry last night. Amazing food with great entertainment. I recommend the brisket with the Memphis Sweet Sauce! If you go on a Saturday before the Opey plan to arrive EARLY and make reservations. We left at 630 and there was an hour and a half wait to sit down when we left. It is located right on the corner of a busy intersection as well and traffic gets really backed up on Saturday nights! Great place 5 Stars! Try their local beer too it was awsome read more

Very cool environment. 2 of the staff members got up and sang 2 songs each. And they were great! The food though is the star of the show. I tried everything that my family of 7 got and everything was perfect. I tried Fried chicken, the fish, all 3 BBQ plates, chicken wings get the BBQ sauce, BBQ nachos (FYI HUGE PLATE) and the chicken sandwich ( must get purmenta cheese). Over all a 5 star location and I would recommend if by the airport or opery house for sure! read more

The service and atmosphere were good here. The food was subpar. Actually it was awful. This is a tourist trap and unfortunately one of the only places around this area to eat (without going into the mall.) Seriously, I am not sure how they can serve this food over and over. Make sure you ask for light meat with the chicken and the mashed potatoes were 90% sour cream and 10% potato. So bad we couldn't stomach it. The fried green tomatoes were just plain awful. We didn't finish our meal and neither did any table near us. Just go to the mall and a chain restaurant. At least you will know what your getting. read more

We just had a dinner at the Opry Backstage Grill. So glad we went. Our waiter ( I believe was Dustin), gave us perfect recommendations. We had the Ribs and Chicken, plus all the sides , very tasty! Just about everything was real good except my wife's order of fried chicken. She asked for white meat and got a wing and thigh. The thigh was blooded around the bone. Of course she could not eat it. Opry mills just reopened so every restaurant in the mall was jam packed. My best friend wanted to try this place because she thought it would be cool. The menu was short and sweet, which is fine by me and it's cool that the servers also sing on the little stage. We both ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and later split the tiniest sized portion of banana pudding that was sweet and mediocre. My bill to include a coke was only around $11 so it's not really expensive. However, 2 days after dining there I got the worst stomach pains and other digestive issues to ever hit me. That pulled pork sandwich was the only thing the past 4 days that I have eaten that my husband has not, so I feel confident that got food poisoning from this place. Make sure you have probiotics available after eating here is all I'm saying y'all. read more

We stopped here on 10/15/14. We finished our tour of the Grand Ole Opry so we decided to stop here. Also close to our hotel. I got the meatloaf meal with three sides. it was good. It was topped with tobacco seasoned onions. Couldn't taste the onions it was so good. Not use to all the food you get for the price. To our surprise some of the wait staff sings/play on a small stage. Our waitress sang a song and I was like, "hey that's our waitress. She's really good. ". We talked to here a bit about her music career. Enjoyed all the music. I'm not a fan of country music but I was able to hear cover songs turned into country.
