Just flew in from San Juan Puerto Rico and had been yearning for a good (i.e. better than I typically get in PR) Italian meal for a few weeks. The crew agreed to go for Italian and Oreganos, although a chain, came up as one of the better places in the area. So off we went. The menu was initially overwhelming because everything sounded great, and I wanted a taste of each. I finally decided on the Italian Flag Lasagna and everyone else placed their orders. My wife, whom while ordering admitted that she did not really want Italian food, picked the least Italian sounding thing one the menu. That was a mistake. Whatever the hopped-up chicken thing was that she got was did not look appetizing in all and tasted just like it looked. My lasagna and another pasta dish at the table that I tasted were at the far end of al-dente. The meat in my lasagna was a decent filler but certainly not enough to carry the plate. The sauce in my meal, and the sauce in the other pasta dish pulled it all together very nicely though and absolutely made the meals. The hostess and our server were excellent throughout the meal and kept our glasses filled. Overall we had good meals with great service which had a few opportunites for improvement, but for the price it was all good. read more

All staff are always very polite and tentative. Food portions are LARGE, so go hungry. Have had a variety of dishes and they are always tasty. I really like the original idea of serving pasta in a pizza dough crust. Nice variety on the menu and they offer a lunch menu too. The five stars is for Mara! What an amazing server. I had been a restaurant manager for 35 plus years, I am very particular on how I want things ran. But she nailed it, you don't see very many servers like her. She enjoys what she does and likes interacting with her guests. This is our first visit to Oreganos. My entire family of 6 enjoyed dinner to the fullest. The salad was huge and more than plenty for my husband, myself and our daughter. The flavor was amazing. Thanks for the boilerplate non-response. What's to resolve? I had three generations of women I wanted to take out for a nice Mother's Day. This is the third time we tried this location; the first two were mediocre visits that we chalked up to COVID and understaffing. This third experience is just evidence of bad training and hiring. We have never had this issue in other Oregano's stores. The locations we used to use in Tempe and Chandler before moving were always excellent. read more

I love this place, especially when Felicia is our waitress. She's the best waitress there. Once I asked if she was in, but I couldn't remember her name. The girl at the front said, "Felicia?" I said "Yes, how did you know it was her??"... The girl said Felicia is the most popular waitress there...She never forgets you either, even if it's been several months since she's seen you...and she remembers where you even sat...she's great! I have been to this location numerous times and after my excellent experience tonight, I knew it was time to give them a review. I ordered the penne pasta bake which I had had several times before. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered it, the bread bowl that the pasta comes served in was completely burnt! When I ordered it tonight I asked the server to please make sure that the bread bowl wasn't burned and explained what had happened the last time. A few moments later a nice gentleman stopped by our table and said he had heard about my issue at the previous visit and apologized. When our food arrived, it was perfect! The food was delicious and I was so impressed with the service. When our check came, our server informed us that they would be covering our appetizer for the issue on our last visit. We come here because its a comfortable place and we love Nicole as our server. Tonite was not a good night and we believe it was us that could not 'click' with oregano. Suffice to say a number of things did not go well on their end as well. The details don't matter because I think it was an off night for us and them. The bottom line, the manager Hillary handle matters with professionalism, kindness, understanding, and a huge heart of gratitude and service. For this they get their 5 stars. This is a very popular spot in the QC. Showed up at 4:45 on a Friday night and still had a 30 min wait to get inside. Once inside, the service was great. Great time from ordering to having food on the table. Their wings a pretty good. I know how that sounds. Wings at an Italian place? Yes, wings at an Italian place. Pretty solid wings. Crispy and the perfect flavor. My other go to is the alfredo the dark. Spicy alfredo. Make sure to get chicken with it. Love that places like this are coming out to the QC. read more

Yelp reviews are not very welcoming to the place, so neat less to say for our first time I wasn't delighted to go but we had to because we were meeting my daughters boyfriends family before my daughter leaves to BootCamp (USMC) on Tuesday. Well besides the fact the families got along very well our dinner was exceptional, the service was on point and our food delicious and drinks (long island express) the best I've ever had. Went to Oreganos for lunch and had a pleasant meal. I got the lunch special of the pizza slice and a side caesar salad. The salad was a very nice size and was tasty. The pizza was nothing to write home about but was ok. I'm a little bit of a pizza snob so its not my favorite. The price is very good for a quick lunch. We also shared a cookie dessert because who can say no to that?? That is always very yummy. Our server was super friendly and good. The atmosphere is always cute at Oreganos. Judging from the way they're popping up all over the state, I realize I must be in the small minority of diners who do not really care for this chain. Just to double-check, I asked the friends who came with me on three of my four visits, and they agree with this review. Oregano's offers pan pizza, thin crust, and stuffed. I've only tried the thin crust. It's fine and there are a number of unusual combinations to try. The salads are a good size, so two could share. The stuffed mushrooms were a disappointment -- two slabs of a Portobello mushroom topped with sausage and tomatoes and skimpy marinara sauce. On our next visit, we tried the Huge Guaca-Tony. It was a LOT of guacamole, more than two of us could eat. It came with garlicky pizza crust, which was tasty. The side of brussels sprouts and lasagna got a "just okay" from my friends. The kids' menu had only two choices: cheese pizza or a choice of noodles and sauce. But, like I said, it's popular. Every location I've been at has been packed at both lunch and dinner. But for six of us, it gets a C+. read more

I have tried Oregano's a few times since living in AZ and everything has always been absolutely delicious! This past week, I finally tried the QC location and was not disappointed. Our server was Michael and he was friendly, enthusiastic, and available whenever we needed something. We ordered the Boom Dip to start...omg, so good! For my entree, I had the Alfredo the Dark. My daughters ordered some calamari and pizza. I tried it all and everything was very tasty. This is what I'm looking for when I go out to eat. I want flavor and Oregano's definitely delivers. There are so many mouth watering options on the menu that I have a feeling that I'll be back to try more a few times this summer. read more

Absolutely unacceptable. We were a group of 5 professionals that came in after the Good Life Festival. We got there, were told the wait would be 20 mins. There were 4 empty tables, (all dirty) that we could see and a line of at least 15 people waiting. So we waited. As we are sitting outside I make the comment this place seems very poorly managed, there are empty cups and dirty tables all over. Things on the floor, Just bad. 1hr later!!! We decide to go ask whats the status. We were told they were cleaning off our table. We get seated by the bathroom. No problem. our waiter comes over with a trainee girl, takes our drink order (4 cocktails, 1 water for 5 people). 20 minutes goes by!!! He comes back over with our food and says "hey so just for everyones safety we do have a 2 drink maximum here so I just want to make sure that you guys do have a designated driver". how embarassing! We were not even drunk AND we had a designated driver sitting right there with us drinking water. In my opinion he forgot our drink order and tried to cover his tracks. Unacceptable. We were embarrassed and decided to ask for the manager. We were referred to a kid named JORDAN, who assured us that he would make it all right and call us the next day to offer us something for ths embarassment and inconvenience. We said fine here is our number and of course, HE NEVER CALLED. No apologies, nothing. Poorly managed, poorly staffed and just overall an absolutely horrible experience at an establishment we have been frequenting in other locations for a decade. Not good. read more
