Upon the hostess informing us of the 45-minute wait time, we resigned to the outside seating area to have some drinks while waiting for our not-so-hot inside table. Great drinks...check. When we were seated in the dining room (sporting 50's paraphernalia and music), the very pleasant waitress informed us that the pizzas were taking about 20-30 minutes. The restaurant was full, and the wait time just allowed our six-top to converse. Then...OMG...the pizza came. This had to be in the top 2 pizza joints I have ever tried. Not only was the pizza exquisite, when our table voiced a concern, the manager was quick to act and overly fix the issue. This is so important to great customer service! Came in for lunch today first of all after waiting to be seated and after realizing they had given our table away and then waiting in the dining area for them clean another table we finally got seated.... Then we order lunch combo salad and slice of pizza. Waitress let's us know our salad will be out first...Wait for about 20 Minutes and out comes our pizza... then she comes over and says the salads are still not ready... then the manager comes over and asks us if we are sure wending want that salad... then offers to refill our drinks... when our bills come, there is no discount on our bill. We question the waitress and she says the manager did not charge me for the refill drink which he offered me and never mentioned it was an extra charge... however my friends bill did not receive any type of discount at all... would not recommend this location to anyone. They mess us our lunch and don't even feel an obligation to make it right by compensating us in any way... read more

We just ordered take away on Friday the 24th of April. This is our favorite place to dine. ALL of our fami!y was very disappointed. I'm understanding about waiting because it was busy, 40 minutes. The sandwich I ordered was burnt and Gardinera, the extra ordered peppers and onions MIA!!! The children's chicken basket was hard. We ordered their seasoned (waffle) fries with both orders. They were stone cold!!! I rechecked everything in the car. Cold is COLD! The salads were okay. The extra chicken were not even room temp! We threw all three out because of salmonella risk. Needless to say, I'll be ordering during the daytime. I felt my $58.37 was covered in bad organization, burnt roll, and inedible chicken! I hope we can actually dine there instead. Like most business' in this area it really depends on the day and time you go. The staples are pretty good, but they always forget the special requests every time. It makes one wonder if they just don't care? That would be crazy but then again...I don't know. If you like your sauce with a spicy jolt then this is the place if you are looking for layers of flavor that would be reminiscent of mamas home made Italian traditional sauce and feel good food...this is not that place. Food is very in your face and the taste is aggressive. The only way to really describe that. Not bland like Olive Garden, not trying to be more than it is like the Sicilian, but smack dab in the middle. Just not Authentic like places like Defalcos and the like. Much more accessible for sure so that makes it slightly better cause food can be great but if it only has one location on other side of planet who cares right? Great pizza. Super fresh ingredients. The website is confusing with no way to order online and the answering machine is confusing and just stupid (only reasons they do not have 5 stars) Management - I hung up 3 times trying to order because I thought I had the wring number. Whoever had that idea should be fired, seriously. But the staff was wonderful & friendly. I waited at the bar for my food where the service was great and the to go area was organized and helpful. I loved the staff when I finally got through to a human. This is close to our house and we go very often for dinner. We are never disappointed. The food is great, we love the drinks and the service is awesome. We love the wings and chips, deep dish pizza, all of the salads are delicious and fresh, stuffed shrooms make a great GF meal. Get a Bellini or dirty monkey to go with it. read more

First time at this Oregano's location. Service was wonderful! Our server asked how we wanted our food timed to arrive at the table. We had the calamari, anti pasta salad, a pizza and a warm cookie/ice cream desert (free on your birthday). The calamari was cooked nice and crisp and the marinara sauce is perfectly seasoned and one of our favorites. The salad is big enough to feed a party of four along with a pizza. We love the flavors and the cheese-tons are a unique topping. Our pizza this visit was undercooked a bit. The crust was soggy, likely from the fresh mushrooms so we won't be ordering those again. The free birthday cookie and ice cream (candle included) was a fun surprise. It was very flavorful and a bit undercooked - but if you like eating raw cookie dough you're still good! We ordered the "date night" special, two pastas, house salad, and a bottle of wine. We chose the Big rig and Bolla pastas. Unfortunately, both pastas were very very overcooked and mushy. The salad was .. meh. One sliced tomato, 4 croutons, two peppers, and a whole lotta romaine. Not amazing. The wine was awesome though. This is probably the best place for Italian food and pizza in town. Yes they are still doing some of the covid 19 precautions but it is worth the wait. I've been here a few times, and every time I am impressed with the food and service. My husband and I came here on a Tuesday night around 7pm. We were quoted a 30-35 min wait, and that's exactly what we waited. I really like how they text you when your table is ready, and through yelp, it tells you your quoted wait time and how many parties are ahead of you, so there's no need to bug the hosts! (As a former hostess, I know the feeling). I also liked that they came out with food for us to sample while we waited. We are welcome to order from the bar while we wait as well. I noticed the bar was quite busy, but still, any time someone walked up to order the bartender paid attention immediately and served with a smile. Our server (I think her name was Anna) was fantastic. She got to us quickly and our food came so fast. We could tell she was busy but she never neglected any of her tables. And the food! Delicious! Huge portions, two could definitely share. We got the Chicken Parmesean, and Baked Ziti, and made sure to save room for a Pizza Cookie. Worst and unsanitary dinner experience ever! 10 of us came here for my moms birthday. Server was extremely rude from the start and ALL NIGHT!! My 74 year old father ordered chicken wings after waiting a while, he asked the server when will the wings be out? She said you didn't order any. My dad said I did order wings. She proceeded to argue with him. I was appalled. After bringing our drinks and waiting for what seemed like forever she finally came to take our drink order. While taking our order mucus fell out her nose she wiped her nose and sleeve like nothing happened. I was utterly disgusted. I couldn't believe what just happened. Our 1 pizza was ok however our 2 pizza was raw in the middle. The crust was soggy and doughy. We advised our server she took the pizza and said she'd have them put it back in the oven.... WOW just WOW. After a few minutes she brought the pizza back and it was burnt!!!! My sister told her the pizza was burnt. The waitress said no it's not and picked up the pizza spatula and looked at the bottom of the crust and said: no its not the crust is not burned. Lastly my sister got sick after our visit. I had the marinara spaghetti, all you can eat and you can add an additional salad for about $2.50. What's not to love?! Great food and the best Chicago-stuffed deep dish pizza in the Valley. Immediately upon walking in the door, we were greeted by friendly staff at the host stand. My buddy and I were immediately sat at a table on the patio and our server Rebecca arrived within a minute to get our drinks. Rebecca was friendly, knowledgeable, outgoing and helpful. She mastered the fine line of being attentive without hovering. One of the Managers stopped by to check in on us as well. She was friendly and kind and ensured we were having a great experience. Worst oreganos I've ever been to. I've enjoyed oreganos over the years, the downtown location, the Scottsdale location. Was excited when they moved out to surprise. However my excitement soon turned for the worst within the last 2 months. My last experience I picked up gold wings. Let me start off by they were the worst wings I've ever experienced from this establishment (and I've had them quite a bit over the years). They felt microwaved and battered in sauce. I threw out over half of them in disgust. I was giving this place a "last chance" to redeem itself The experience before that I ordered my favorite over priced shrimp diablo pasta. The shrimp was cold. I was completely grossed out. I ended up throwing all the shrimp out and just ate $16 pasta basically (before tax). If you want a better experience go to Babo where it's half the price. Hell I'd recommend tailgaters that's not even known for their food over this place. Don't waste your time or your money and if you order anything at this place go with a salad. I'm sure they can get that right. read more

Food is as to be expected at any oreganos! Great food when they get it right which is most of the time. We have been here multiple times and I have never thought to do a review of the place however here is what you want to know. 2017 - there was a nail or staple of some sort in the bottom of my water cup. They did not offer to give a discount when I brought it up or any compensation. They did acknowledge and show the manager. Never had that happen in my life! I was very glad I did not swallow it! They should have been glad as well! They did not seem to think it was as big of a deal as I did. 2018 - 5/16 - hair in food when served. Big black hair!!Immediately I could see it weaved in and out of the food and I pointed and said no thanks before she could even finish setting it down on the table. This should have never left the line! Do they not wear hairnets or hats? Manger did compensate a replacement however I was very nervous as I ate my food! In spite of the fact that I picked up the order about 4 minutes early, and live only 6 minutes away, the pizza was dried out the moment I arrived home. It was obviously (as a "favorite" standard menu item), precooked earlier and reheated. The cheese was hard and the crust was stale. On top of that the toppings were ridiculously over-salted... something bad restaurants do to compensate for poor ingredients & poor technique. $23. My children and grandkids were visiting from out of state. We had food from there previously and liked it. This time was awful. We ordered some food to go. The first pizza was burnt so they said they had to remake it. Fine. We get home with the replacement pizza. It tasted like someone in the kitchen had dumped a bunch of salt on the pizza. WE have eaten at Oregeno's many times and enjoy the food and normally great staff interaction. Yesterday we stopped in the early afternoon. As we sit inside everyday and the weather was great, we asked for patio seating. The hostess said it would be 30 mins and we were fine with that. We sat at one of the patio tables not being used and watched as only 3 of the approx 20 (?) tables were being used. All the tables were well spaced and in the open area. After 45 mins we decided to sit at the bar and had an appetizer. After another 20 mins and still no table we split a meal there. When we left we asked the hostess and she said "I saw you sitting there and removed you from the list" instead of letting us decide if we wanted what we requested on the patio. She was very discourteous at both the check-in and when we left. read more
