A lot of people don't want to eat at this building because many businesses have gone through here, and they all seem to have huge lists of health code violations and the like. Despite these warnings, with some trepidation I went to check out this restaurant. I really am sushi obsessed at at the moment. This place was ok. The servers were ok, the food was decent. The major complaint I have is that there was no Avocado in my avocado cucumber roll. The tempura shrimp roll that I had was fairly decent, but it was cut up strangely. I would go back to have sushi again if I were in the Dale and wanted sushi. Went there about a year ago. Terrible. My mother ordered pho. It was SO OILY that even when she stired it, there were still oil spots in it. Tasted like oil too. My father and I ordered sushi. I got the dragon roll. It was no where near fresh, the deepfried parts tasted like it had been held hostage in the fridge all day, and the rice was as dry as the drought in california. We felt so welcomed when we arrived. The whole staff was very attentive and relaxed. My daughter was not happy with what she ordered only because she didn't really know what she had ordered and the owner or manager quickly approached us and made her a new meal. Frankly I didn't think their sushi was nearly as good as the other Japanese restaurant in town. I tried my hub's spicy Singaporean noodles I think it was called, and that was okay too, but not great. I didn't want to take a second bite. From Hawaii and lived in Japan. Didn't expect much from a Sushi restaurant in the middle of Washington. I ordered three things, an agedashi tofu, a crunchy roll, and spicy tuna roll. Agedashi tofu was pretty good. Sauce was good and outer layer was crispy. Crunchy roll was different but pretty tasty. My only complaint was the spicy tuna roll. There wasn't enough spicy mayo. Tasted like a regular tuna roll. Service was only so-so. Sushi came fast once we ordered. The menu is pretty extensive with Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese dishes offered. I would repeat if I get the craving for Sushi before I go back to Hawaii. read more

This a great inexpensive local alternative to the trendy sushi bistros of downtown Seattle. When we lived nearby and wanted to go out to eat Origami was always in our top three choices. I usually got egg rolls and a chicken dish and they were always excellent. My boyfriend has ordered several of the sushi rolls (eel, tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp tempura, albacore, etc) and they've always been fresh. Maybe I was just hyping it up in my brain and it fell short to my expectations but it just didn't do it for me. Unpretentious, small, and delicious fresh sushi. What's not to like? One of the better sushi restaurants I've been to. I must warn, though: stick to the sushi. It is hard for a vegan girl to find any love in this town when it comes to food, but Origami Sushi has become my refuge from being forced to cook every night since I moved here. The variety of fresh veggie sushi with big portions for the price puts Blue C to shame! My new love is the pineapple fried rice(no egg of course!) It is so flavorful with the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The Yam fries and Edamame beans are the perfect appetizer. Origami has been the place for me and my friends to get sushi in the Bremerton-Silverdale area. I have been here on several occasions and have never had any complaints. The restaurant itself may not look the greatest but the food compensates for it. Unimpressed would be the word I would use to describe my dinner at origami sushi. The entrees were good not amazing. But the sushi was gross, it didn't taste fresh at all. Which is very disappointing, I won't come here again being that there's other places like JOA and Hakata that make much tastier sushi. Origami used to be the best in silverdale but no more. The whole dinner 2 entrees and 2 rolls costed about 69 bucks not at all worth it. I really hope I don't get sick from their fish. read more

cost for purchasing sushi tends to be pricey, especially when the selection is large. Origami allows me to try many unique sashimi and sushi while still in kitsap! in this area. origami dominates. The master chef is a pretty young guy, i am impressed by his creativity! the sushi is delicious, i am typical for the unagi, origami nails it! The entrees selection is also quite large, i am glad because i can come back many times trying out new items. I recently had the noodle salad bowl, the fish sauce that comes with it is just outstanding. i read that some had poor service, but every time i go to origami with my friends, we get fast friendly service. i guess they had one bad server! if you don't know what to order as an entree, keep it simple and order the chicken teriyaki, it's a standard dish but it showcases the skills possessed by the cooks. yum! read more

I'm not the kind of reviewer that likes to say negative things about restaurants. In fact, most poor reviews I read are almost comical due to the overwhelming emotional ranting that takes place. That being said, this place was incredibly disappointing. For such a highly reviewed, and 3 year #1 restaurant of Kitsap County, the disturbing gurgle in my stomach says otherwise. The Good: 1) The seaweed salad was tasty. The Bad: 1) The service was lackluster 2) The rolls were small, and the rice:fish ratio was high on the former, and skimpy on the latter 3) The tables and sushi bar were dirty. Hairs, crumbs, dirt all over the place. I generally don't like leaving food on my plate and either finish my meal or take home leftovers. This was my very first place I ever went to years ago back when I first had sushi and this was the place that got me hooked on sushi. Can be a bit pricey but well worth it. Love this place. It's small and kind of hidden, but well worth it if you go. It has a kind of hole in the vibe to it and on nice days the outdoor seating is great. I love hat they have a cute little potted vegetable garden outside. The food is delicious and presentation was great. I love that when they plated my dragon roll they added a shrimp head for the dragon. If sushi, bubble tea, and mochi make up your perfect meal you should definitely stop in and try this awesome place out. read more

The food: Sashimi is delicious, especially the super white tuna. Tempura batter was not crispy, ruining the tempura dipped rolls we ordered. They weren't terrible; my six year old son loved them. The steamed rice that came with the sashimi platter was not Japanese rice and did not match the cuisine. The presentation: Sashimi plated beautifully, the caterpillar roll was absolutely adorable. The prices are very much worth the portion sizes also, it's just the food I've had never really taste all that flavorful. Fried rice, soups, and even the boba are all just pretty okay.
