The 3/5 stars has nothing to do with the food because the food is delicious!!! I just did not like the ally way leading into the restaurant and the fact that they were out of the mac salad. Also, the direct tables. It seems like there are two entrances but from someone who has never been here, it can be confusing on how to get in here. We went through a dark alleyway to enter in. It was unclear if it was the actual entrance because the only indicator was a crumbled menu outside of the entrance. No overhead sign or other indicator. After going in, the tables were dirty so we cleaned them off. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and REALLY enjoyed the pizza!!! It was hot and fresh. I would 100% eat this again.

Original Magoo's Pizza used to be on University Ave back in the days. It closed that location over 20 years ago and moved around a couple of times. Their current location is on Waialae Ave in Kaimuki. This location is a much bigger footprint than their location they had a couple of years ago. Service is excellent during my recent visit. The front of the house was run by Daniel (waiter, cashier, bartender, and busboy. Happy hour is daily with 50% off bottle wines till 6pm. The pizzas were good. The Magoo's combo is the way to go. Get the giant size if you're in a large group, it's perfect for sharing. Parking is street metered or paid hourly parking in the back.

My childhood is reminiscent of eating Magoos square pizza. Nice crispy crust and ooey gooey cheese. Leftovers were the best when you put it in the toaster oven. Back then they used to be in their yellow food truck. Today, Magoos can be found in the bustling Kaimuki area right on Waialae Avenue. Street parking in front or paid parking in back. We had takeout from her one day and got the veggie pizza and a pepperoni pizza. I was disappointed at the lack of flavor. Maybe that's the problem with food as a child. You have a thought in your head that it is utterly delicious. Then you grow up and realize it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Maybe it was a miss on that day. I'll be back to give them another shot.

After seeing Magoo's had opened up in Kaimuki after going there in high school in the 70' s & remembering the good times & delicious pizza. I left Hawaii & returned 43 years later. I had to see if the original combination pizza was the same as I remembered. It was loaded with pork sausage, pepperoni, olives, & we omitted the bell peppers. It was pretty much as I had remembered, nice & crusty, cooked perfectly! The zucchini was cut into bite size cubes & lightly battered & served with a single portion of ranch dressing. Corona & Modelo Especial bottles washed everything down. While everything was good, it lacked the ''Wow''factor I remembered !Colton served as bartender& server and he provided polite & excellent customer service. Appreciated the solo guitar player as he provided lively entertainment at dinner hour.Restrooms are clean & dining room well decorated .Made for a nice evening out at Magoo's.Drove from Kaneohe to get here, 30 minutes, so looking forward to returning when in the area!

Lunch in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawaii... Magoo's Pizza is an old-school name. It was popular in the past, disappeared, and returned! What is Original Magoo's Pizza? As I walked past the sign on Waialae Avenue, I decided to try it. I had parked at a metered street stall, even though the municipal parking lot is right behind the restaurant. I entered the cool, air-conditioned, nicely decorated, cozy space and was greeted immediately by an enthusiastic employee! He was very eager to serve and asked if I was doing takeout or dine-in... Good question. I was going to do takeout, but realized that pizza tastes best fresh and hot. He showed me to a seat at the bar and suggested that I get the Baby Pizza... ok! He asked if I wanted pepperoni... ok! Then I looked at the menu. The pizza arrived quickly. I was offered some water. I declined, but he brought some anyway - thank you! He also brought a plate, napkins, and utensils. The pizza crust was thin and crisp - like a cracker! The pepperoni was a bit spicy. The cheese was ok... I sprinkled some Parmesan cheese over the top. It was a filling meal! I'm glad I tried it and dined-in!

Fried Chicken Wings - 12 piece

Work lunch Wednesday was enjoyed at Magoo's Pizza in kaimuki. We had a large party and got there a little before 12 and had to wait because they don't open until 12. We ordered the chicken wings and got half dry and half wet in their buffalo blue cheese wet sauce. We ordered a couple of pizzas to share with the table one was their roasted garlic and chicken, pizza, which is my absolute favorite. However, if you don't like capers, then I would definitely say don't get this pizza because the capers bring that pop of salt in every bite, there were some amazing garlic pieces on the pizza. We also got the vegetarian pizza and combo pizza. Throughout our meal we were the only people in the restaurant until the very end. It is small, so our table of 10 took up the entire middle of the restaurant. But service was great, the food came out on time, and I will definitely be back to get more of the garlic chicken pizza.

Haven't had Magoo's Pizza in years ever since they had their food truck down in Waikiki so when I heard they opened in Kaimuki I had to try it! We got the Magoo's Special Gourmet Pizza and Original Magoo's Cheese Pizza and it tasted exactly how it did when I had it years ago. I ordered the pizza online to go although there were plenty of seats to eat inside. Lots of parking in the back as well in the municipal parking lot and the worker's were very friendly. Overall I'm so glad they opened a shop close to home & will definitely be back!

I first tried Magoo's Pizza in Waikiki over 25 years ago. Was always awesome. Then enjoyed it when they were selling it out of the food truck at the 76 Station on King Street. Same great taste and people. Since that closed, I haven't had it. I saw that they opened up in Kaimuki but read that they had a few opening issues. Finally decided to go and try my favorite pizza. Ordered the combo and cheese pizzas. Happy to say same great taste and very generous with the toppings. The crust was super crunchy but not dry. Magoo's is the best Pizza period. Great food and employees. Will be back again

The charm here is this old timey feel with still keeping the interior renovated in a way that maintains the family legacy with new enough decor that doesn't blemish the history. The scene is great, the old sign, the bar, the Pac Man arcade game, the menus have funky font and printing. Food options for pizza, sandwichs/subs, a couple of salads, fried chicken wings, desserts, cocktails, beer, wine, soda, and juice. Parking in the lot in back with a direct entrance is very convenient! Casual, family friendly, or business lunch our, and it's open into the evening for dinner or date night, fun night out.

Nothing like eating huge sandwiches and the best pizza around! Our office orders takeout frequently from little g's and we absolutely love it here! We usually have place our order a few days in advance to secure our order for the day we want. They do run out fast so it is safer to place the order in advance too. You can order online but after a certain amount it requires you to phone in your order. I didn't grab a picture of everyone's food but this was the two sandwiches I got! The chicken parm is incredible stacked with 3-4 pieces of chicken parm and their red sauce with mozzarella served hot. The Italian has three different meat with cheese and lettuce and bell peppers served cold. These were served with a different grained bread which was a lil different than what we are used to but still really great! After looking over the menu options, we stood waiting for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. The manager seemed rude and unwelcoming, which immediately set a negative tone for the visit. Looking back we should have trusted our first impression, but we decided to give it a chance and see what the hype was about. We each ordered a slice of pizza and took it outside to eat. After eating , we walked past the glass wall of the cafe and I noticed the manager handling and mixing flour with his bare hands, with the flour mixture covering his hands and forearms. I didn't expect to see food prep without disposable gloves and it made me uncomfortable. The pizza itself didn't make up for the experience. At around $22 per slice, I was expecting something exceptional or life-changing, instead, it was pretty underwhelming. The flavor, texture, and overall quality just didn't justify the premium price. Between the unfriendly service, concerns about food handling, and the disappointing pizza, I don't feel the experience was worth the cost of overpriced slices of pizza and I will not be returning nor will I recommend Little G Cafe to others. There are plenty of other pizza spots in Honolulu, including Boston's Pizza, that offer better value and a much more welcoming atmosphere.

Love at First Bite!…read more Why Pizza Mamo is a Solid 10/10: The Taste: The honey-pesto synergy on that Honey Creeper is the flavor profile I didn't know my life was missing. Absolute culinary wizardry. The Mission: Huge props to Pizza Mamo for partnering with the Save a Bite app to cut down on food waste! If you haven't heard of it, restaurants use it to list their surplus end-of-day food at a massive discount instead of tossing it. Saving money and the environment? Say less. Sustainable carbs just taste better...it's science. The Vibe: The waitress was incredibly sweet, and the sit-down space is so cute. The Verdict I love a good boujee on a budget meal, but even if there's no mystery boxes available on Save a Bite, Pizza Mamo is totally a place I would order in, sit down, soak up the vibes and snag a slice or 3 from...which we definitely will be doing in the future. Great place to get pizza and cannoli!…read more My boyfriend and I decided to stop by one Saturday night and was pleasantly satisfied with what we ordered. We got there before 8pm and they were sold out on a lot of the items, but still liked what we got! We ordered the Brooklyn Pizza (perfect for two!), which was made with fresh ingredients and was made to order. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate chip cannoli which has the right amount of sweetness and texture, a perfect ending to our meal. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and the service was warm and pleasant. I love the vibe on both areas, and we could see the wood-fire oven even in the indoor seat that we got. Good to know too that they're a vegan pizzeria, we'll definitely come back to try more of their pizza and salads. The standout of the evening was the specialty pizza topped with creamy mozzarella, pancetta, and pea purée. The wood-fired crust had the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, and the flavors came together beautifully. The squeeze of lemon added a bright, unexpected touch that elevated the entire pizza. Aroma Italia - Monserrat | Waikiki-Kapahulu-Diamond Head area - Island of Oahu…read more Onolicious! Lately I've been dining on soups like pho and ramen, lamb curry stews, and snacking on real fruit smoothies, and I felt like I needed a change of pace. However, I didn't realize I had this burning desire until I saw the foodie pics here on Yelp. It was then that I seriously wondered how I could inject a little more variety into my foodie repertoire. I saw this restaurant listed on Yelp and immediately thought, Ooh, what about Italian??? :D Myself replied: Mmm, that sounds tantalizing, Jules Y.! :D After perusing the menu to make sure I wasn't gonna miss out on a thing, it only took a few seconds for me to hone in on the two items I ultimately ordered: * 16" Florentine pizza (gigante) * Gnocchi Gorgonzola with added mushrooms I added mushrooms to the gnocchi dish, which was a fantastic decision I would not want to go without on future dines of this dish. The pizza was a thin crust topped with luscious mozzarella, rough-chopped garlic, spinach, and ricotta cheese. The gnocchi contained chicken chunks, potato gnocchi, luscious cream sauce, and the mushrooms I added. The Florentine immediately caught my eye. I'm particular about not eating sausage, pepperoni, and other typical pizza meats, so this cheese-and-spinach combination was exactly what I was looking for. I expected something around a medium-sized pizza, but what arrived was this unexpectedly large pie sitting inside a huge, flat pizza box. It seemed enormous! The crust was thin with a nicely fire-charred edge, while the center was packed with luscious cheesy goodness. Random dollops of ricotta, spinach leaves, and these entirely unexpected little chunks of fresh, soft, juicy garlic created little flavor explosions throughout every bite. It made eating the pizza fun because each slice was a little different. Although I thought I was hungry enough to eat a lion, I naturally stopped after only a couple of slices. That turned out to be a bonus because I had delicious leftovers for lunches and dinners over the next couple of days. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola was a different experience altogether. Tender potato gnocchi were coated in a thick, luscious cream sauce with chunks of chicken scattered throughout. The mushrooms I added were thinly sliced and blended in perfectly with the gnocchi, chicken, and creamy sauce. My only criticism is that the dish was saltier than I would have preferred. I think using about half as much salt would have allowed the flavors of the gnocchi and sauce to shine through even more. Aside from that, every bite was pleasantly chewy, rich, creamy, and satisfying. The sauce was everywhere--and that is definitely a good thing. Yum! These two dishes complemented each other perfectly because they offered completely different flavors and textures. The rich, cheesy Florentine pizza paired wonderfully with the creamy Gnocchi Gorgonzola. If I eat here again, I'll probably order these exact same dishes. If you enjoy Italian food as much as I do, I suspect you'll enjoy Aroma Italia's menu.

LOVED THE CANNIBALE PIZZA !!!…read more I also ordered the linguine with pink sauce and added meatballs and sausage. It was excellent. I think I would probably order it again but with the marinara sauce. The garlic bread with mozzarella cheese was good but I would order the regular garlic bread since it's less rich and would pair better with the entree. I think the garlic bread with mozzarella cheese would be great as an appetizer though. The ingredients on both the pasta and pizza were very generous. If I were to take friends out for Italian food I would bring them here.
