Wasn't too impressed by this restaurant. Service was ok. But foodwise I didnt see anything that blew off my socks. I ordered the aussie cheesefries which were good but not as good as Lonestar. Then I ordered their potato soup which wasnt too bad. I cant really say anything bad about that. Now they give you some brown bread with your dinner. Maybe rye or pumpernickel but whichever it was didnt taste that great. My wife and I both ordered the Chicken on the Barbie. I liked it but for 13.95 it was one small chicken breast. My wife didnt like the barbeque sauce for dipping either. So overall I am not going to be back here for a while. I normally go to Texas Roadhouse for the same food but better, better bread and better service. And if i wanted a steak I'd go to Lonestar then Texas Roadhouse then Longhorn then maybe if those places were all closed then I'd come back here to waste my money. read more

I sat on the bar at outback and Giovanni was amazing he made me the best drinks and was very helpful. The food was amazing I got a ribeye steak with asparagus and the Mac and cheese. It was amazing service and amazing food go visit him on Tuesday's . Best steak house in town. read more

Very disappointed with this Outback. Came here on a Saturday for dinner. It took 15 minutes for the server to come up the first time and greet us and get our drink orders. Then it took him another 15 minutes to bring them out. My husband ordered his steak with a loaded baked potatoes but a sweet potato. When our food finally came out by another employee they brought him a regular sweet potato. When he explained that wasn't what he ordered the waiter started debating with him and had a very bad attitude. If you are a server you should know to never argue and debate with a customer on a food order. Not to mention my moms potato was half raw and she ordered a medium well steak that came out well done. My wife and I used to frequent our neighborhood Outback quite often when living in Sarasota, Florida. Since we have been living in the Columbus area, there are only a couple Outback locations to choose from and all are about a 50 minute drive from us. Since it had been awhile since we had eaten at an Outback, we decided to celebrate our anniversary of all things and St Patrick's Day at the Hilliard Rome location, again, 50 minutes from our home, but we figured it would be worth it since we had a craving. We arrived at 5:45pm and it was relatively slow for a holiday evening, we really didn't have to wait long for a table and were greeted quickly, but that is when things began to fall apart. My wife and I rarely order an appetizer but thought given the occasion we'd splurge, so we ordered a Bloom'n Onion. Almost immediately out comes our appetizer, I said wow that was fast and was told the kitchen makes them up ahead of time on busy nights (not made to order) which allowed time for the grease to soften the coating on the outside making them greasy and limp. We ordered our meal, my wife ordered a Mahi entree and I ordered my stand by, what used to be called an Outback Special, it was neither special and I think they found it out back? Look folks, you have one thing you are supposed to do well, you built a business around it, so it ought to be done right and with consistency. Almost always when ordering in Florida my steak would be an inch 1/2 tall and 2 to 3 inches wide, very tender, seared to perfection with a nice amount of seasoning, cooked medium, tender and juicy, could almost cut it with a butter knife, this evening my steak was squashed flat about 1/2 inch, no sear, little to no seasoning and worst yet, dry and overcooked. Needless to say this was a huge disappointment. At the end of the meal I did mention to the waitress that my steak was not at all good, her reply was the standard, had I let her know she would have had it corrected, but you know, I've seen too many 20/20 reports about food that goes back to the kitchen I explained. II did tell the waitress that I wanted the manger to know so he could keep an eye on things in the kitchen. I wasn't looking for money off my bill but at the very least I thought a visit from the manger to our table was warranted. we NEVER saw the manager, not in the dining room during our meal checking in with the guests nor after. When I asked the server to share my complaint with the manager she told me I could always comment on their website instead. Worst offense was our waitresses explanation for why my steak was overcooked, she said it was because the cooks use weights on the meat to get them to cook faster, whaaaaa? Anyone who has ever grilled a steak knows better than that, of course that explained why my steak was medium well, dry and leathery. Now, I don't mind paying $57 for a "good" meal, but it was insult to injury when I could have gotten a better meal at Golden Coral! Probably worth mentioning I had to use steak sauce to choke my steak down, I asked for some from my waitress and she of course forgot and I didn't get it until I asked again and had eaten half my steak. I will never be dining at Outback again. Called on Saturday afternoon for reservations for a party of 11 at 4:30. Asked if it was a special occasion and answered for my daughter in laws 30 birthday. Arrived at outback Sunday at 4:15 and several large parties arrived after us were seated before we were. Finally at 5:10, we was seated at 2 booths!!!! When we complained to manager we was told no reservations were accepted and they were unable to seat us. The service was poor from then on. Needless to say outback you ruined our birthday celebration. No one in my family will be dining here again. Oh and I will make sure to tell everyone I see the same. Oh and forgot this. My daughter in law ordered a meal and the sides were extra!!!!! Didn't even come with a salad!!!! Horrible!!! read more

After reading these reviews I was astounded at the reviews on here. Not only were the staff courteous, quick, and respectful, the food was outstanding. I ordered the 22 oz. Bone in rib eye and it slapped me right in the mouth with a blast of flavor and happiness. In fact it slapped so hard I needed a drink to bring me down from the high it put me on. So my server immediately saw me reaction and quickly almost in a running fashion to my table to offer me yet again another delicious recommendation of Down under-rita which only took 1 minute to arrive from order to table. At which point i downed this delicious specimen of a liquid. This then soothed my mind and all together, it was the best experience ever. After this I had the privilege of meeting Jonathan, the Owner, who graciously asked us how we liked our meal and presented us with a Chocolate thunder from down under for desert for my daughters Birthday! I used to love Outback steakhouse so this review is hard to write. The customer service at this location is disappointing to say the least. This past Monday night we ordered curb side takeaway. We placed a medium sized order - 3 meals - and spent $70. This was our fourth takeaway order from this location and it will be our last. All 4 experiences were similar: order placed, vehicle description given, arrived on time or early, food ready and sitting on the counter but no one to bring it out or paying attention. After 15 to 20 minutes someone finally realizes several cars are waiting and they bring out the orders. Nothing like a fine steak or salmon that has sat in styrofoam for 30 minutes. Our food was barely warm when we finally received it. No apologies from the staff, no adjustments of the price nor offer to get a fresh order. They weren't even busy. Service inside is a little better, maybe 2 stars. I won't be going back, ever. read more

Massively disappointing. We hadn't been there for several years, and when we went the other night it was a huge let down. The salads were about half their former size. The bloomin onion was greasy and not very warm. The steaks were at least 50% fat and required a lot of trimming to get to actual meat. And the prices were at least 20% higher than I remembered. We paid about $60 for the two of us (no drinks, no dessert) and I felt we got a $15 dollar meal. Never again! read more

Our lunches today were not good at all. Service was great with Meghan but our food was terrible. I ordered the burger medium and it arrived very well done. The bun was stale, tomato tasteless and burger so dry and tasteless it caused me to choke while trying to swallow it. My husband ordered the prime rib melt and couldn't eat it because it was mostly all fat. The bloomin' onion was very burned and sitting in an inch of grease. Overall, we will definitely think twice before returning to this Outback in the future. So disappointed. read more

This Outback should be closed. Terrible customer service and pathetic management. When we arrived at 5:00 today, there were virtually no cars in the lot and only a few customers inside. Nevertheless, we couldn't be seated until a table left, since we had 8 people in our party. We sat in the lobby for 30 to 45 minutes watching about 40 customers enter and be seated. I finally made a fuss and a table that had been empty all the time magically could accommodate our group. After telling them what we thought of their customer service, we left and went to Red Robin. There we were seated immediately and treated with respect. Great food, too. Avoid Outback in Hilliard, Oh at all costs. One other thing, they don't seem to care about accommodating the disabled, either. I visited the restroom during our wait and found a man in a wheelchair struggling with the stall door. There's no way for him to close the door after he rolled inside. I helped him out, but it's truly troubling Outback has such a poorly designed door. They should be better than that. read more

I have had 2 dining experiences at Outback Steakhouse in my life. The first experience was in 2002 in Macedonia, Ohio and it was a pleasant one. It was also a dine-in experience. My second and likely last experience with Outback was last night. My boyfriend and I ordered take-away service online. My boyfriend chose an add-on of bacon and cheese for his fries that he ordered with his meal. When we get home there is NO bacon and cheese AND the fries were tossed on top of the steak he ordered. I called the store to let them know this and was transferred to Jake who said he was a manager. I told him what happened and he advised since we paid cash for our meal he would need me to come back tonight so he could refund the charge of $1.25 as we did not receive the add-on of the bacon and cheese for the fries. Now I started to question if Jake was truly a manager because customer service 101 would dictate that if you have already inconvenienced your guest (Me - no cheese and bacon and charged for it) you wouldn't FURTHER inconvenience them by having them drive back up to your restaurant the same night - after all we did want to eat what we ordered and what we did receive. I explained this to Jake and we went back and forth for about 5 minutes with me stating I would pick up the refund tomorrow (today) as I am in that area daily. Jake refused stating he didn't know what to tell me??? - Again what kind of "manager" could even say such an absurd thing? I finally asked Jake for the number to corporate to explain my situation, my experience and Jake's epic fail of a customer service attempt and you know what Jake tells me...."I don't have that information." For a minute I thought I was being Punk'd but sadly Jake was dead serious. I had to actually ask him how he thought he sounded as a "manager" to me...Jake was all out of responses at this point and asked me to hold the line, which I did. He came back on line a minute or so later and advised if I came up tomorrow (today) either Josh or Jessica would "take care of me." He came up with this "brilliant" solution to my problem - a problem his staff caused me - after about 12 minutes on the phone. The food we did receive was cold at this point now and to top it off, after I hung up with Jake I discovered they gave me Honey Mustard dressing for my salad instead of the Ranch dressing I ordered. Never again - I e-mailed Corporate last night and asked them to contact me, I hope I don't get another Jake. Headed to the location in about an hour to pick up my $1.25 - it will cost me about that in gas to get there :( read more
