They forgot my $10 appetizer, and I clearly received their 13 ounce Ribeye rather than the 22 ounce Ribeye I was charged for. (The steak was so small they actually packaged the steak and a large baked potato within the 7" covered plastic plate.) And, it was well rather than med. rare. OK...I understand that this is an Outback Steakhouse and not a Capital Grille or Ruth's Chris...but bang for the buck you can't beat this place. Worst service EVER! Mediocre food that is overpriced. I'm shocked at these reviews...DON'T GO! We called ahead and were told a 30 minute wait, that turned into over an hour of waiting. Our server never brought us silverware or straws, even though we asked - we had to get them ourselves. We had to clear some of our own plates. He forgot parts of our order. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food. We were starving! So were our 4 kids! When it arrived, my steak was medium rare and I ordered it medium well. It was almost rare...I was so starving, I ate around the raw parts anyway. We will never go back. AND my stomach was sick the next morning which I'm guessing was their food. read more

I haven't been to an Outback Steakhouse in years, and this type of poor service and abysmal cooking are the reasons why. The sad part of it is, is that it wasn't the server, it was the management and their complete lack of caring for a patron, when food was taking over 30 minutes and was brought out, one steak was overcooked well, when it was ordered medium, and mine which was so undercooked it was blue, when it was ordered medium rare. To top things off the manager made no attempt to rectify the situation other than excuses it all due to being short handed. What happened??? I used to really like Outback and always got a small fillet and it was a good steak. I ordered one on 2/9 and it was just awful. It wasn't tender, it was 1/3 the thickness that it used to be. It had some very tough marbling in the steak that was un-chewable. WalMart called, they want their trash meat back. I have had better steak from Costco! Additionally, I ordered a baked potato. It was last night's potato. I told the waiter and he got me a new one that was delicious. Well, disappointed in you and your staff. If I was a waiter/waitress there I would be losing my mind because they are losing out on tips galore. When a table empty, bus it and seat it. Train your hostesses to give accurate times and to tell walkins that call aheads get first preference -- over and over again even though they were telling the walk in folks 25 minutes .. then sat six tables before they got to the walk in (who had been quoted 20 minutes and after 35 was still waiting...) Yes, you are plenty busy so probably won't pay any attention to this review, but that is exactly why you should pay attention. Every customer needs to count, and you aren't making that effort. I feel sorry for your wait staff - the tips they are losing because of the lack of attention being paid is sad. Highlands Ranch deserves better. read more

I figured on a lazy Sunday I would order Outback Curb Side Pickup and placed an order online. Unfortunately when I came to Outback they never received the order. Although this may not have necessarily been this restaurants problem, the management took full responsibility and offered to buy me a drink (a grown up drink) and comped certain menu items. Talk about customer service. Not only did they do that, the car side lady was friendly, professional, and cute (can I say that?) which is the trifecta. Family dinner after the mountains! I'm a fan because Outback has good consistent quality and service. If there's a problem which there rarely is - they handle it. As a foodie I pretty much hate chains and seek local owned and family restaurants as much as possible. Customer service was good. Waitress and the manager were pleasant. It took awhile to get food delivered to the table. They didn't seem busy, but who knows if they were short staffed or not. The frustrating part is that the food obviously sat waiting for a bit. My mother in law got ribs which were cold, they took them back and brought ribs out to the table in less than 5 minutes. The crab cakes were salty and the prime rib was not medium rare; it was very rare to raw. It was sinewy and fatty. The baked potato was small. I wonder where they got it. Fail. Big fail. I usually get chicken dishes but was taking my meat eating family out for steak. Haven't been to an outback in years. Ordered a cocktail off their $4 cocktail list and was told it was happy hour. Husband ordered one also. Got charged $10 for mine and $6 for husbands. Then I ordered my teriyaki skewer medium well. It came to me red and bloody. I sent it back, and this time it came back a shade pinker. Sent it back a final time and it was so well it tasted like shoe leather. Considering I hadn't had a steak in years, and went to a place with steakhouse in the name this was pretty ridiculous. Manager comped my dish. Thanks, but I think I paid for it anyway with the drinks off your happy hour menu that came in full price. The only thing that saved this visit was that the server was great. I love the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing. The filet mignon is a fine choice.

Service stinks. Lets be honest, it's a corporate product that has one thing going for it: the bloomin' onion. The rest is so-so.

Horrible food. Bone in ribeye was all fat and most of it raw, not rare, raw and I asked for medium rare. Plus no seasoning on the steak, some salt would have been nice. My wife's fillet mignon was over cooked on the other hand and again no seasoning. Kids chicken fingers were almost black. Asparagus wasn't cut properly, too much of the tough stalk left. Even the sweet potato was overcooked. And we added lobster tails to both our dinners and they were overcooked as well and they were both thrown in the same box and no butter for mine. I really like this Outback steakhouse for some reason. Im not typically a fan of big chain steakhouses. The service here tends to be pretty quick and friendly and its not usually overcrowded like everywhere else in Highlands Ranch. As for the food, I only ever get the Ribeye and it is almost always as I expect. Usually cooked correctly and well seasoned. My higher star rating is based on the service at this Outback. read more

My rating is a 2 because of the waitress. She was so sincere! My husband and I went out for Vday. We order the Vday special and our night started. We first got our salads and asked for more dressing. It took about 5 minutes then two people brought it to us. Then we got our appetizer the blooming onion half cooked. The flour was still on the top. We got a new one after our salads with our filet. My filet was over cooked but my husbands was perfect. The waitress was apologetic. I was almost ready to cry but held back. This whole experience was a horrible one. I was shocked. We never had this before here. It was always good. Then the manager said you can get what you want so I asked for the ice cream cookie instead of the cheesecake. No problem the waitress said. The manager cane over and said we comped that for you. I said I thought a cheesecake was included and we swamped it out since we didn't get it. He said I'll bring it then. I said no thank you. We got the billed and nothing was comped. Actually we were charged for our premium salad when it was included per the menu. We waited after we click on the little machine and the red button blinked and another guy came over and said that wasn't included in the special. We said really? Please look. So finally it was adjusted. I told the manager I was amaxzed that you didn't offer any other comps or another evening to come back since we were paying $75 for a horrible experience and under cooked food for the onion and over cooked on my filet. He said one second. Came back and gave us a 10% off. I was amazed and said please go. We tipped on the full bill as she was great and left quickly. I'm very shocked with this experience and won't come back to this location. After an hour wait and a busy night I thought we would have a great date night but I was so disappointed. read more

So disappointed. I understand that things are different but this is a restaurant I just had nine months to figure out how to do curbside takeout. We did online ordering for 6 o'clock pick up New Year's Eve. We showed up in the parking lot was chaos, there were no signs, parking and no check in ability online or with an App. There was a line around the building with people. I finally got through on the phone to 'Rachel' who was very rude and not the least bit helpful. I was basically told to stay in my car and someone would be out and I would just have to "wait my turn". I have no problem waiting my turn for anything, and I wasn't in a huge hurry, but over an hour later sitting in my car with nobody having ever come up to the door and multiple cars still waiting for their food from 530 we left. Went next-door to red Robin and got a to go order and took it home to feed the family for New Year's. We've been to this Outback a number of times with mixed results. I usually order the prime rib. Sometimes it's decent; other times it's dry, tough, and tasteless. In fact, I've gotten the dry and tasteless version enough times now that I probably won't go back again. I think they probably serve ordinary rib roast and pass it off as being prime. In any case, it's overpriced for what you get, as is most of the menu. Tip: If you eat at this establishment, be warned that they don't take reservations and can get quite busy on weekends. Go early and request a booth near the front. Otherwise, they will invariably try to seat you either next to the kitchen (noisy) or next to the toilets (ewww). read more

My husband and I used to love this specific location but the last two times we went it was less than stellar. My Victoria filet was smashed "so it could cook better" but it was completely flat and burnt. Then I spilled my drink all over me and a waiter happened to be passing by and grabbed the glass but no one ever brought me anything to clean myself with not did they come clean the floor or table. This is possibly the worst experience I've ever had at Outback Steakhouse. First, our waitress was filthy! Her shirt was filthy and her apron was filthy! I understand that it was towards the end of the night and maybe she had been working all day. What I don't understand is why she didn't take a towel and at least try to scrub some of it off. I was a waiter for seven years and I know that you get dirty especially on double shifts (if that was the case). But I also know that there are steps you can take to get some of the crust off of your shirt and apron. All of our food was burnt. Our appetizer (shrimp) was burned. My wife steak was burnt so bad she sent it back. Our waitress said "that's how the grill cooks." My baby back ribs were burnt. The waitress didn't remember anything. She didn't remember that I said I wanted my baked potato loaded and she didn't remember that my wife said she wanted her steak medium-well. They chard her steak dead the first time and well done the second time. By then we were just frustrated. I did tip 16% but that's only because I know that restaurants and businesses are having a hard time. And our waitress look like she was having a ruff day. Still -- people don't have time for excuses. Especially in today's economy. Have to leave this so this location gets their poop in a group. Salad was really good. read more
