I must admit I'm conflicted on this rating. I took my family here for our weekly night out and we were all excited about the food, as we've enjoyed meals at other locations. So, we arrived to a clean restaurant and were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was prompt and friendly, grabbing our drinks and bread quickly. Well, the pumpernickel bread was cold and stale, which was a bummer. But our waiter brought our appetizer, a Blooming Onion out just in time and we dove in happily. Onion was great, but it was about half the size it used to be...and 50% more expensive! (Good thing we had a coupon) Dinner came within about 10 minutes and it was great. My youngest loves the Mac and cheese, made with a real cheese blend instead the Kraft premade stuff. My oldest had the prime rib beef dip sandwich and was very happy. My wife and I split the steak and shrimp combo and a sweet potato. Steak and shrimp were very good but the potato was about the smallest I'd every seen. Waiter did a great job, even bringing us more stale bread! (He was hoping it would be better) All in all, it was a good meal, but with prices seeming to rise and size of portions diminishing, this won't be a frequent place to grab a bite out. read more

My sister was coming to town for the day, and wanted to get together. Outback was the general consensus from the five of us meeting. I checked the YELP reviews. Some were iffy. I had my doubts but, we met up as planned. I kept my mouth shut and we were all satisfied. The service was terrific. The food was delicious. All properly cooked. The only complaint might be our table location. We were sitting directly under a cooling fan. I'm sure that if we complained, we would have been moved. It seemed too much trouble to move everything, so we stuck it out. All in all, I will return for the service and good food. I'm so glad to have found this location so near by! We came to Outback because we had a gift certificate, and figured steak sounded nice. To start, the actual restaurant does not feel very high end or well maintained. I get it, it's a chain, but it's not a cheap one, so the space should reflect that. Immediately when you are seated at a table, you are greeted by one of those little table top electronic "Ziosk" things on which you can order, call your server, or play games. I find this incredibly tacky. Our server was super friendly, and the reason for two stars. Excellent service goes a long way, but it is still distracting when he has to pick up that damn electronic thing to put your order in as you dictate. We started with two wedge salads, the blooming onion petals, I got the filet minon with a baked potato, and my husband chose the ribeye with fries. The wedge salads were honestly gross. My husband said he felt almost like they put water-mayonnaise on top. It was drenched in dressing that didn't taste like a genuine blue cheese, and felt like a huge waste of calories. The blooming onion petals even looked bad. They looked like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, and the sauce they were served with had a film on top. When the steaks arrived, they were actually decent. My filet was tender and cooked a perfect medium rare, but it was flavorless and required a good amount of salt. The loaded baked potato was a mistake, stick with mashed potatoes. It was small, and completely topped with sour cream and butter to the point where the potato was indistinguishable. My husband's fries were bad. Stale and cold. I didn't know fries could be so boring. Our bill was just under $100 for two. I'd also like to point out that for a $100 dinner we had to run our own gift/credit card on that stupid Ziosk. This blew my mind. There are good, amazing restaurants in Denver where you can have a delicious, chef crafted meal for less. The craziest thing was this place was packed! With the prices the way they are, this place needs to stop serving Applebee's quality food. I only came because of a gift card, but honestly I'll just give it away if we are ever gifted one again. read more

What's happened to this Outback? Four of us went there on 8/9/23 and can't go back again. Service was very poor, evidently no training whatsoever. Kitchen staff was no better. One salad was brown and limp--yesterday's lettuce? Baked potato ordered plain was delivered loaded. Bread was not served at all. Entrees were delivered only 2 minutes after salads, terrible timing. Broccoli was brown and slimy. And sirloin was not trimmed of gristle. Only one of three of us had an OK meal. Definitely not what it used to be. So sad. They won't be around much longer. read more

I used to love this place. The food was amazing. We started ordering through one of the delivery services and the food was still great, until today. Everything was either missing something, over cooked, or just awful. Not sure if the menu changed or you have a new chef, but go back to the way it was. First, my daughter ordered the Alice Chicken Quesadilla. We ordered through DoorDash. She requested no mushrooms. When it came, not only was it not a Quesadilla, but there was mushrooms all over it. I ordered my standby favorite, the tilapia topped with lobster and crab and a light lemon butter sauce. What I got was... Instead of a beautifully cooked piece of white fish, a piece of over cooked blackened fish. Instead of chunks of lobster and crab, a hodgepodge of dried out nasty pieces of something. No lemon butter sauce at all anywhere, but a sad over cooked dried out crab cake. I ordered the blue cheese and pecan side salad with extra blue cheese and pecans. I guess I found and occasional piece of blue cheese, but no pecans. Seriously, fire your head cook and bring back the recipes we loved. read more

We're in walking distance and had a decent experience here yesterday with our food, so we decided to go again today. We were hoping not to receive the same person to serve us yesterday although he was nice at the time.. but also seemed to possibly have pink eye(eyes were swollen and goop lingering at the inside corners). We received the same guy today. Had the server been able to be attentive, this review would not exist. The endless soup/salad ended as soon as our first bowl/plate arrived and then we were never checked on again. We were glanced at as other tables were being tended to, yet no service. Thanks for skipping us, Logan. We saw you chatting at the bar as we were exiting the restaurant as well. We shouldn't have left any tip at all. Won't be returning. Soup arrived just barely warm. Really wanted to like this place again. Had not been there in many years so we decided to give it another try. The service was great,the food would be average at a lower price point. But when you go to a steakhouse and pay steakhouse prices you're hoping for a steak that's flavorful,tender and juicy. At nearly $30 my ribeye was cooked properly but chewy and lacked flavor. Friendly! The portions are okay for what you pay for. I did a simple pick up order of two items and requested a few dipping sauces on the side (asking if this was okay and they said it was, as I wasn't trying to take advantage). They forgot to put the sauces in with the order. I understand messing up larger orders, but two items and a simple request of dipping sauces should be easy to do and not mess up. read more

This outback lacks. So much so that even though we love Outback, we have gone here exactly once in the last year. Last time we were here they sat us at a table practically on top of another table (so much so the servers ass was constantly touching us) even though the place was wide open with seating. Second - it was a gift card and hubby did not double check how much they charged us. THEY CHARGED US FULL MEAL PRICE for a second patty - yup 22 dollars for a burger. (More on quality in a moment.) I called the manager - profuse apology. Did we need to come back and get the soup. No we should not have been charged that much. He will do better training - blah blah blah. Train your people in the first place. Quality control your food. This was a pathetic mess. NO - I do not want to come back for anything - WE WERE ALREADY THERE! What is the point of having take away if you cannot get a small, basic order correct?! Third - I should have waited to call until I looked over the food. The soup was grainy and watery. Not sure how you do that to potato soup, but yum, watery soup! Our 22 dollar burger - one patty was charred beyond super well done, the other - well maybe medium. I think my husband's quote was "A hockey puck would have more flavor and I would actually be able to bite that". My husband actually went over to Cane's for "good, fresh" food - how pathetic is that?! We are done.Not sure what happened to this place - but there was a reason why they were slow and Los Portillos next door was packed. We are tired of lousy food served by indifferent staff followed up by empty platitudes. Done. I used Door Dash to deliver my food. not only did the Door Dash person not look and confirm my order wasn't correct, but OUTBACK didn't either!!!! when you order loaded mashed potatoes and pay for it and you get broccoli is NOT OK! 4 things didn't get delivered in our order, and when you order with grub hub or door dash, they just give you a $3 credit. Honestly I would give it a 1 star if it wasn't for our waiter. Andrew was serving us tonight and he was awesome. He was kind, funny, quick and made the experience a 100% better. The food was mediocre compared to the Southwest plaza location that is 10 minutes away. The place was filthy. Fruit flies all over our table, the lamp above our table was disgusting, we asked for new silverware multiple times because every set we got was dirty! the bathrooms were the worst. I was shocked. With the front of house being that dirty I can't even imagine how bad the back of house is. Thank you Andrew for making this the best possible experience. We've been going to this restaurant for years. We won't be back. The first change we noted on this visit (3/28/2018) was the point-of-sale monitors on every table. Hmm. The restaurant was not very busy as it was Wednesday a few minutes after 5 pm. Even at this early hour, the service was very poor. Our server did not check in after our meals were delivered to the table. And didn't clear away the salad plates. We had to summon the server from, you guessed it, the point-of-sale terminal. I felt like an idiot leaving a tip. Service was very sub-par. Food was good. We are only guessing here, but we imagine that the point-of-sale machines were installed to accomplish the following lofty goals: 1) Get customers to order more drinks 2) Allow the restaurant to serve more customers with a smaller number of waitstaff They certainly do seem to have been able to cut their waitstaff, albeit at the expense of *seriously* degraded service. The experience was more like self-checkout at a supermarket than the sort of experience that one would expect even at an average global chain like The Outback. (some previous reviews said that the service was terrible) I bought my hubby here on a Friday night and it was really good. We had a bloomin onion to start, it was nice but a little heavy on the breading; he had a steak, cooked perfectly; I had the ribs and chicken combo, so yummy. The chicken was a little salty and I wasn't a huge fan of the cheese on the broccoli & cheese side, but the ribs and sweet potato was delicious! Disappointing ordered filet and lobster filet was not even s good filet was a select... not even how they present on their menu. I'll stick to their burger and salad with tangy tomato dressing that is always good. Sad and even the manger stated it was choice and we asked to see the box as my boyfriend is in the food business and knows his meats as he services colorado. The service, in my experience, is exceptional. A number of folks deserve recognition but Beau, the bartender, deserves it in particular. Used their reservation app and made a reservation for 6:15. We got a text to confirm our RESERVATION and when we got their very rude staff told us it was a 20 minute wait despite the reservation. He told us that it was not a reservation but a call ahead to get in to the middle of the line. I explained to him that's not what their app said and just said well that's what it is, it's not a guaranteed reservation. Another frustrated woman was having the same problem. Tried outback again on a Friday evening. Somehow the place was surprised with being busy. I used the google waitlist option which is supposed to cut your wait time...well, it doesn't. Between waiting for a table and food, a party of 2 (one being a kids meal) took 2 hours! The waitress was either stoned or just doesn't have any sense or urgency. Just casually walked around and disappears for 15 mins at a time. She said the kitchen was backed up, but after I told her we were needing to go to an after dinner event, the food miraculously showed up. It looked like it had been sitting back there and she just didn't look. Also, she never brought my beer I ordered and it took 10 mins to just get waters when we were seated. If you have nothing to do other than eat at outback all evening then you'll be fine, but if you have plans after dinner you're screwed...plan to be late. read more

Hopefully, this is the last awful thing to happen in 2020. It's my boyfriend's birthday and we were planning to celebrate but Outback torched any possibility of that. Unfortunately, we can't pick up the order we placed through Door Dash because the restaurant marked our order as complete but Outback employees don't have an order for us. We finally gave up waiting after 2 hours, especially when the hostess told my boyfriend misleading information about when we would be notified our food was ready for pickup. This location is obviously lacking in managerial influence as the employees treated us like we were the problem. Now it's so late we're stuck with the last alternative, pizza. Thanks a lot Outback. You've lost a customer, ruined a birthday and cost us over $35 in cash turned to Door Dash credit. read more

Sitting at the table now I felt I had to leave a review. The food was fantastic & the attention to detail and customer satisfaction was astounding! Our server Brooke was the best server I've ever had. She had such high spirits and every time she walked by she made sure our bread was fresh & our drinks were filled. I have business lunches here occasionally and they produce consistently good service and food quality. The lunch wait staff has been around for years, which is a good sign. Our steaks are nearly always the requested temperature and service is polite. Only down sides are a somewhat slow kitchen and screwy HVAC system that is either burning or freezing, depending on which side of the restaurant you are in. read more

We didn't have the best experience to start. Dirty table, slow service, then the steaks came out and were honestly not too dissimilar to beef jerky. We were unimpressed. Asked for a manager and politely explained our disdain - to our surprise he was absolutely professional and kind. We walked in and were escorted to our table by a very chatty guy who immediately complained that they were low staffed and that he had to host and buss tables. The restaurant had tons of dirty tables and lots of staff standing around. We were there for over an hour and the tables were never cleaned. The host just stood at the desk and didn't clean a table.
