They drilled into the foundation, pumped in their orange oil solution, and filled the holes perfectly. They went into the attic, checked everywhere I reported seeing droppings, and repaired some of the wood damage beautifully. The infestation was handled! I am now a regular customer. After an initial rocky start from a contract/bid that was incomplete, inaccurate and inadequate, the excellent team of Jorge, Eli and Alex came out to do the actual work. A previous Pacific Coast team came out to spray first for wood beetles, and I had chosen this company because I didn't want to tent the building and spray toxic chemicals when there was a safer way to kill the beetles but not poison the environment. I thought I had clearly discussed replacing a deck, two boardwalks, 2 small sets of stairs and bannisters with Jeremiah, but should have known when the bid came back too low that he hadn't understood/agreed to the work I asked for. The team was scheduled for 2-3 days, but when I stated my expectations, we all understood that the bid was unrealistic and the work would take longer. When they began to take off the deck planks, we all saw that the joists underneath were rotted and also needed to be replaced, and agreed to additional lumber/work. I had to explain that Jeremiah had also called out several boards of siding on my office, and when those were pulled, there was severe termite damage to the studs underneath, not visible from the crawl space. All together, the work entailed much more than was in the contract, and much more than was apparent until boards were pulled. For someone with more limited funds, this would have been a disaster, but the end result was a reasonable cost for the scope of work. Jorge, Eli and Alex were a wonderful team in many ways: 1. They understood everything about the work they were doing, making suggestions and improvements as we discovered more damage. 2. They were clear with me about when and how the scope of work expanded from the initial contract, and cleared additional fees with me before proceeding. 3. They worked long and hard days, including adding a Saturday that wasn't scheduled, working instead of being with their families. 4. Given how much larger the job was than originally planned, the company hadn't scheduled enough time for the team to remain on site. After the first 4 days, they were scheduled to return in a month, but somehow (not sure how) they were freed up the following week, and were able to finish in a three week period. 5. They were considerate, thorough, had many skills, and clearly cared about their level of craftsmanship. They even made me a little bench for the deck with a bit of excess lumber, although they had done a great estimate of how much they needed, wasting little. My office (a hundred year old garage I converted in the 80s) unexpectedly was missing a corner stud, so the sheetrock inside split and had heavy damage from the external repairs. Jorge did a wonderful job replacing the sheet rock, mudding, priming, and had a quart of color matched paint made so that it looks like nothing ever happened in that corner. 6. They cleaned the area totally, so that when they were gone, there was no trace of their presence. 7. They seemed to truly enjoy each other, and it was great to periodically hear laughter from the worksite. A team that works well together and inspires each other is a very valuable team. I used the Yelp app to request a quote for service in the late evening and I received a response shortly after acknowledging my message. The company called to schedule an inspection the following morning. I was able to get an appointment a couple days later. Our inspector, Brett, arrived during the time window we were given and was very professional and knowledgeable about the products/services. However, he didn't even bring tools with him and needed to borrow my husband's tools to get into the crawl space. He also didn't properly shut out side gate when he left. If you're looking for a safer alternative for getting rid of termites, Pacific Coast offers a more environmentally friendly solution. Brett said they don't need to tent your house during this process. I'm not sure how effective that will be compared to the normal fumigation process. They claim they can eradicate termites within a day versus the normal 3 days, 2 nights of fumigation/tenting. While I appreciate the promptness in their communications with me and my husband, we decided to go with a different company instead. read more

They gave us a very high estimate and wanted 10% down before they would start the job, the inspector told me they could start as early as tomorrow. After a year is up, it will cost $500 a year for them to come back to inspect and treat. The inspector went around the house and defaced the areas that need treating with a red mark. For some reason, they do not want to use Termidor even though they have it on a list of the treatments they use. They wanted to treat with Bora-Care @ Altriset. We ended up going with another known Co that gave us an estimate for less than half that Pacific Coast Termite gave us. The other Co treated with Termidor which is supposed to be the most effective for termite treatment. read more

What this company is good at is selling you a false sense of security. I originally called them to get my house tented, however since I have a senior living in my house, they suggested doing the orange oil treatment. Usually when you have a house tented, it will last for about ten years. They did advice me that the orange oil would last about 3 years. a year and a half later the termites were back. I called them and they came and sprayed the problem area only with borax. Well 6 months later the little buggers are back in the same area. However, now pacific coast termites says it is past the 2 year warranty and want me to buy an additional warranty for $600. Now why would I do that and spend another $600, when nothing they did worked. So off to Home Depot I go and do the Job myself. Save your money and do not do the orange oil treatment, it's just a false sense of security. read more
