I wish I could give this company more stars. From the moment we met our technician Steve until the work was completed the work was stellar. Our technician came out until my relief did not suggest a tent the house but use borax instead. I had surgery in September and I'm still recovering, tenting the house would've been packing up everything! A few weeks later Miguel and his team came out and removed all the termite damage, dry rot and crumbled wood from the back of our house. They worked for two days and it looks amazing. Miguel has an eye for detail as he spotted a few boards not in his work area that were bad and fixed it. We recently had a great deal of wood work done to the outside of our house. We had dry rot & some termite damage on most of the home's outdoor wood. It was a big job! Dan Haakma came out & gave us a bid that we accepted. Pacific Coast sent out a crew to fix & replace all the damaged wood boards & wood structures. This included a front & back balcony, a side garage door, and many split & rotted boards. The crew leader was Rick who was very easy to talk with about the work. This review is about my contract renewal inspection. The contract costs me $400/year and includes a contact renewal inspection. The inspector came out and finished very quickly. I asked him about inspecting the crawl space. He told me he inspected it by shining a flashlight through the vent screen. What a load of bs. I called and spoke with a supervisor. He sent another tech out to inspect the crawl space. I've lost all confidence in Pacific Coast Termite. I think their inspections are get in and get out as quickly as possible. I have used Pacific Coast for years. I recommend them. But this year it has been hit or miss. Most of the workers have been great. But apparently the documenting has been changed and even though they have been out 5 times (work done 2 of those times), the work done is not documented. Even after all of these visits, no one has any idea if tbe subfloor has been checked. The management has changrd the process. So if you can, you now need to follow the workers around, ask questions, and do your own documenting. I definitely will renew my contract. But will need to try to tag along with the workers since management eliminated the process, leaving everyone in the blind. read more

I recently had a great experience with Pacific Coast Termite and highly recommend them. Just as their ads say, they do not tent and do not require you to move out of your house. They drill small holes in the house perimeter outside, the crawl space, and attic and shoot in orange oil and other substances. They patch up all the holes. The products they use are lethal to termites but not to humans or animals. They give a 2-year warranty. The process takes 4-6 hours in one day. I had to do minimal prep work. Jason, the estimator, was very knowledgeable, accessible, and easy to work with. Special kudos to Omar E. who did the work. He was very polite, efficient, easy to talk to and kept me informed about what he was doing every step of the way. My hat is off to him for working during the heat wave and with a smile on his face! I had requested a follow up service (inspection) of the work they previously performed in my house. I was not expecting much since I did not report a termite issue. Jack showed up and did a complete inspection of my attic and went underneath my house and did both front and backyard. My husband hired PCT to do extensive exterior wood repair. Rick and his team, Luis and Jairo, performed a difficult wood repair job over 5 days at our house in the days between Christmas and New Year's Day. It involved replacing multiple heavy exterior beams and facia boards, most of which were at the second story height. Their work was performed in a safe and complete manner. They showed up on time and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. Where the job required stucco repair, they matched the existing stucco. Where some unexpected extra work was required, Rick discussed it with me in advance and got my approval at a reasonable price. Beginning with our initial inspector Omar, he was very thorough in explaining about our termite issues. He was patient working with the sign language interpreter explaining to us about the process of getting rid of our termites. He wasn't bothered by me following him around the house as he showed me what he was looking for. I am Deaf and very visual to understand as he explained. He took his time and I didn't feel rushed. For the work Rick, Jairo and Luis did was outstanding. Again, the staff at Pacific Coast were patient working with the interpreter, explaining what they planned to do and again showed me the old panels that needed replacements and the work under the house. I had an EXCELLENT experience with Pacific Coast Termite, from the initial inspection to the actual termite work. I didn't even realize I had a termite problem until a curtain installer pointed out some droppings in my dining room. I immediately researched different companies and chose Pacific Coast -- I really liked the fact that they do NOT tent, and use much safer and still effective methods. I was able to get the initial inspection appointment within about 2 days, and the actual work took place about a week later. Scott N., the inspector, was very professional and personable. He did a very thorough inspection and explained everything very clearly, including types of termites, behavior, how the various areas would be treated etc. I also felt that the estimate was reasonable and set up an appointment for the work on the spot. Saul H. and Andres -- the service team -- were excellent as well! They arrived on time, clearly explained everything they were going to do and in what order etc. They were extremely careful both inside and outside the house -- inside they put on booties and plastic sheets down on the floor, and left everything neat and clean. When I saw what looked like sawdust covering the trunk of my wife's car, I was afraid that we had termites in our garage and we'd need to go through the hassle and expense of fumigation. Our inspector, Steve Pike showed up on time, took one look at the damage to our garage door, and told me that we had carpenter ants. Yikes! Recently, there was dry rot in a few places in our home. Pacific Coast Termite sent out their wood specialist team with Raudel and Ramiro and they did a fantastic job. Part of the damage was on a rafter on my roof and they did quality workmanship on it. They were able to replace a damaged door as well. I also used Pacific Coast for a termite problem a couple years ago, too. The price was much less than fumigating the whole house since they were able to pinpoint where the trouble was.
