Worst Panera Bread to eat at!!! I hope no one gets sick from eating here. They take food back from people and re-hand it out! The plates and bowls are NEVER cleaned properly, always have old dried food on them. Don't even get me started on the rotten food they serve. It has a lot to do with cross contamination as well as improper storage because no other place I go to has this problem. Also seems to be a foul smell in the dining area, maybe mold or a leak, it's awful. Management here most likely holds up health inspectors to the point they probably can't even inspect correctly because this facility is abhorrent. I will be reaching out to a health inspector to see if something can be done sooner rather than later. read more

I took a trip there with my daughter as we had not been to Panera for a while (we usually go to the Valencia location)..the food was yummy and the cashier was very nice, but the tables and floor were nasty. We saw someone clearing tables, but not cleaning them afterwards. I literally had to order a cup of water so I could clean our table and chairs. No customer should have to do that. Also, take a carpet duster to the carpets every once in a while..no one wants to see food and trash all over the floor while they eat. read more

I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM LANCASTER PANERA AGAIN!!!! My order was completely wrong the first time received a delivery. I ordered Greek salad and a roasted turkey sandwich. i received a nasty Greek salad with Quinoa and a turkey sandwich which was not roasted and nasty. I never ask for a do-over because I don't trust anybody that I've complained to. Next time I ordered I received a text saying that the order had been delivered but it was not at the front door. I called Panera and they said it was basically not their problem. I asked them if they could help me they said no. I asked them if they cared the guy that answered said 'No I don't' so I hung up. About 30 min later the order arrived. This time the order was correct but I was so stressed after receiving a text and no order and them calling and getting that nasty response that I really could not enjoy my food. There are times when you know something is overpriced and you buy it anyway, and there are times when you won't stand to be ripped off. My last 3 visits to Panera were like this, today being the final straw. My husband and I went in for the yogurt cup, which use to be 16 oz for 4.89. Today, they charged me the same amount for 1/2 the size! "This is HALF the size as the old one"I said to the cashier. She tried to tell me, "but it's healthier." Yeah, because there's half the amount! And yet they are still charging the amount for a larger cup. What a blatant rip off and I refuse to go there anymore. read more

This location is horrible. First of all, the WiFi is horribly slow. In this day and age, there is no need for slow WiFi. Secondly, they were completely out of stock of herbal (caffeine free) tea. It appears, who ever is responsible for ensuring ALL the teas are properly stocked, slipped up. Thirdly, we asked for sliced apple for our side. Instead we got whole apples. Ended having ask them to slice the apples for us. Fourthly, there was no paper towel in the women's restroom. Obviously, the staff are not doing regular checks to make sure the restrooms are properly stocked with supplies. Not sure if we will be back to this location. read more

I am giving this Panera one star for the tea only! The food was mediocre. Bread was soggy. The soup looked like it came out of a can. In addition to that, the carpet is FILTHY!! What's with this place? The people at the front can't be bothered with you. They don't smile, they don't greet, they just take your money. I ordered my You Pick 2 and the lady asked me if I wanted a pastry for a $1 off. I said no thank you. After my meal, I decided I would like a pastry. When I went back, the lady said no. Terrible! I stopped in to grab dinner for my family. I live an hour away by the time I got home I noticed that they did not put my soups in my bag. I paid over $30 for basically bread and pasta. I then tried to call the store and the phone just rang. I tried to call for two days straight. I finally called corporate and they said they would get back to me. Just another place that has sacrificed customer service to cut cost. This will be my last time coming here. I've come since they opened. So much of a regular that the know me by name and I know all of them by name. This place has changed for the worse since they Let the old GM Danny go and brought in the new guy Louis. No more friendly faces just workers that look like they hate their Jobs. They don't even bring your food to your table anymore. Due to this the cleanliness of the lobby suffers. They weren't even busy at lunch on a Saturday and all of the tables were filthy. I had to clean my own. Louis is a nice guy but it seems and the customers experience doesn't matter to him at all. We pretty much just come here for the soups because it's the only one closes to our house. Every time we come here there is always crumbs on the tables and the floors are not swept constantly. They need to have the employees clean the lobby every20 minutes or so. This is were customers eat. Just a warning going out there they've been charging us since November for a coffee club membership that we never signed up for or gave permission to charge and quite frankly not sure how they even got our card number for 899 a month and reaching out to them they're telling us to file a claim because they can't stop it... and it messed everything up for me all my automatic payments because the bank had to cancel my card and send us a new one so now I have to reach out to all those people to give a credit card number now be careful on where you're using your cards are who's swiping it for you.... read more

The food was as always good, however, my mac and cheese was delivered in a bowl that was not clean... Remnants of an orange dish were on the rim and a brown dish were on the sides. I brought this to the attention of a worker that the bowl was dirty, he apologized, washed it and made a new mac and cheese but after receiving the second bowl, it was the same bowl that still had orange remnants on it. Grossest meal ever. Ordered a chicken broth bowl, Apple salad, small Mac & cheese. The chicken broth bowl is absolutely disgusting. It had red peppers in it (not advertised) and very little broth. I threw 90% of it away, it was that bad. On to the apple salad, the entire top layer was Apple chips, far too many. Ate 2 bites, and there was a large clump of blue cheese (not advertised as well), and chunks of dirt from unwashed/poorly washed salad. Puking ensued. Blue cheese is vile. Not to mention it would be nice to know when a polarizing ingredient is going to be in your food. And I don't think it's too much to ask for my lettuce to be clean when I eat it. The only remotely palatable thing was the Mac & cheese. However, after throwing up blue cheese I was in no mood for eating. I do not understand the love affair with this place! Free wifi, plenty of tables, not much of a lunch rush, and super cold A/C. I was starving and needed a pick me up. Got an Everything bagel w/reduced fat veggie spread, small OJ, and coffee. Everything was good except the coffee. It tasted completely watered down- my ratio was about 80% coffee, 20% skim milk, but it tasted like 5% coffee, 95% water. The wifi connection was pretty good. I stuck around for a few hours or so and got some work done. There are a few power outlets along the walls w/windows, some tables along the middle partition, and under the table w/stools. read more

I am a huge fan of Panera Bread, but this location was sub par. When we arrived, not 1 clean table, had to inform staff, didn't have lids for drinks, had to stand for 5 minutes to wait for clean table, had to wait for lids for drinks, and then they forgot to give us straw, had to wait for that. I finally asked a gentleman behind the counter to help and he was very helpful, unlike the staff that was too busy chatting in the back, to clean up the eating area, it was a mess. On a good note, food was fast to get, and service after we sat down improved, but management needs to get on the manager that was present on Tue, Sept 17, 2013, because he was standing behind the counter not even engaging the people in line, and we walked up to order, he told us to wait...then we waited for 5 minutes to order and we were the only people in line! Better organization, as the group that day didn't' seem to be too engaged with customers, it was a strange vibe! read more

Our first visit to this chain, so we really didn't know what to expect. What we liked a lot and found amazingly appealing was the atmosphere. With jazz sax playing in the background, warm-colored paint and prints on the walls, offset booths and seating, it was surprisingly comfortable. Like I said the food was ridiculously good I had the turkey BLT with avocado w/tortellini chicken Alfredo and carrot cake muffin, damn this was good! After sitting for about 20 minutes after placing my order, having my older daughter tell me over and over how hungry she was, my younger one screaming her head off and observing other patrons who arrived after I did receiving their orders I walked up to the "food service counter" and asked the gentlemen who was delivering food to check on my order. He looked over my receipt and asked, "What am I checking for?" I responded, "My order, I've seen other individuals who sat after me receive their food and I'm still waiting". He gave my receipt the gentlemen on the other side of the counter and said nothing further to me. I stood with other patrons waiting for to go orders and the gentlemen that was delivering orders turned around and said we're working on it. I replied, "thank you". I heard one of the individuals making the food say, "This order needs to be made now!" In about 5 minutes the gentlemen who looked over my receipt arrived with our food. What irked me is that there was no apology for the tardiness of the order, no explanation as to why it wasn't made, and when I told the gentlemen, "thank you", again I received no response. I understand bad days, not getting along with someone at the work place, but if I am showing you manners I expect them back! This gentlemen was busting his ass, running orders, cleaning tables and floors, perhaps he was "in the weeds" (old server term when your getting your ass kicked out on the floor) but if customer service is the job you applied for that's the one you should be doing. This is probably the worst restaurant in Lancaster. I visited for the first time in 6/27/19. First off all the lady taking my order was very nice and friendly. But unfortunately I order their Mediterranean salad and they had no lettuce. A place who sells salads but has no lettuce. Anyways I went on and order and 30 min later I'm still waiting on my salad. The lady at the register notices I'm still there, takes my receipt and it takes another 15 min. So 45 min for a WHOLE salad. When I take a look the salad is missing the chicken and cilantro. The stuff that we're meant to put on the side were on it. I let them know and they say give me the salad will make u a new one. At this point I was upset and left because I was not gonna wait another 45 for a tiny salad which proportion was ridiculous. If I order the whole I can't even imagine the half. They didn't even bother to fill it all the way. They took my # and said they call to give me a free salad and till this day I'm still waiting for that call and salad. $10 for a salad that fills a kid up. Ridiculous and bad service from the cooks. They did add a tiny bit of retarded chicken on the side but I'll never be going back. For $10 u have a full meal at Apple bees. read more
