Otherwise, high turnover in employees and limited training provided by either corporate or the franchise owner becomes obvious if you ever experience an issue that needs to be resolved at this location. This Panera Bread was the worst- worst service and worst experience. First of all you come in and there are kiosks at the entrance to order food. The kiosks are not terribly friendly to place an order and, what I thought, lacking in detail for each dish. We wanted to go to the counter but there wasn't a person in sight. I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich without feta, not being able to do dairy. The sandwich came covered in feta. I brought it back to the counter and painfully waited for someone to see me, told them I "inputted" no feta- all via the kiosk. The person at the counter was not very friendly but took the sandwhich and said they would take care of it. They delivered it back to my table and it was the same sandwhich, with remnants of feta. They literally brushed feta off instead of making a new sandwhich. We tossed the sandwhich and left for somewhere else to eat. I would not go back to this location. My wife and I eat here often and the and everyone that works there are so nice. The service is excellent. It's a very very clean establishment. Good parking good air-conditioning and the food is excellent. Their food is usually good but this location is the worst I've been to. Ordered a pick-two with a salad and soup, not that hard. When I walked in the bag was sitting on the counter ready. The manager lady said here you go. Got out to the car and it seemed light for what I had ordered. I broke the tape and there was NO soup!! So I walked back in, a young guy asked if I was missing something. I said yes, a soup. I ordered pick-two and only got salad. He asked what kind of soup and I told him, but he didn't give it to me until I tossed the bag to the lady with the headset to make sure I really did pay for it. I don't know what happened to Panera, but this was an incredibly disappointing meal. Sandwich - dry. Salad - bland. Kids meal - I wouldn't even call it that. I customized my sandwich which received barely a drizzle of aioli resulting in a dry, inedible hunk of bread. My salad was mostly covered with water and a spritz of dressing. The Fuji Apple Chicken Salad has been a staple for years but this was terrible. The kids meal was nothing more than a slice of meat and a slice of cheese on a piece of bread. When something is called a "meal," one would expect a side, a drink, maybe even a small coloring book for a kid. We love ordering ahead here to grab a quick lunch after a hike. For 5 people we get a family feast plus one personal order. Service is always pretty fast and the workers are really friendly. The amount of food we get for the price is pretty good and all of us love the taste! We mobile ordered and went in and sat down and ate. Kiddo number one had the chicken soup. She loved it but there wasn't a lot in it besides broth. Had just a couple of noodles. Tomato soup was good with the bread to dip it in. The texture was great feel like it could use a bit more seasoning though. My son and I both had the spicy chicken sandwich. We added bacon. I was craving bagels. Being from NY I expected a much better product. On my way home from work our regular bagel store is too far away so, I figured I'd give Panera Bread a go. This was my first time buying food from Panera. I ordered a Bakers Dozen of bagels. What I got was stale and contained four actual bagels (two cinnamon/raisin, and two sesame). The rest are what they call a flat bagel. In no way shape or form is a Roll and Bagel. I wish, I truly wish businesses would not sell garbage recipes. I wanted real bagels, not flat stale rolls. My receipt says 2 sesame, 2 cinnamon swirl, two cinnamon crunch, 2 Asiago, 2 plain bagels and 2 sprout grain flat bagels. I wanted bagels and got a bag of flat rolls. This review is for Panera on 77th and Bell road When I went in, I waited in line for several minutes before a young girl popped her head around the corner. She had been telling a story to someone she was working with and not paying attention to customers at all. There was about six people behind me waiting, then she finally came to the counter. Rudely asked what I wanted and I ordered then as I'm waiting for my order she's walking around with a bowl of food eating in the back while they're preparing food, talking and not paying attention to anything going on at the front register again apparently they were out of baguettes so they threw a quarter of a slice of sourdough bread at the bottom of my bag and put my salads right on top of it no covering for the bread no bag nothing. When I asked if I could get more bread, she very rudely brought out two more slices and instead is this good enough? I said sure thank you I will never go back to Panera. The workers are rude. They don't care about the guest and when I got home, my food was disgusting. My lettuce was wilted and it was about three-quarter full for $12 for a bowl of lettuce with no chicken or anything it should be full.. This was literally the worst Panera I have ever visited. I will continue to be a patron at Lake Pleasant and happy Valley Road because they by far are the best Panera should do something about these employees if they want to keep their guests I had seen it has 2.5 stars and now I know why. read more

Usually love this location but the service I got this afternoon was anger inducing. They are usually very ontop it stuff, very kind and very quick. Which is why I usually stop in a lot for my lunch breaks. I order my food, use the restaurant and wait for my to go. Usually I do this and as soon as I come out, the food is ready. It wasn't today and I was fine with that so I waited. I noticed it has been 10 minutes and still no food. All the employees are talking to each other. No one else is ordering and there's no new orders coming in... so they just all stopped working and we're talking. I get taking a break but I need to get back to work and this is taking forever to get 2 items... I think one of the guys saw I was getting irritated and called for my name to get my food. I go up there and he only has my drink. I ask where my food is and it's still not ready. He apologizes and another worker gives me a free cookie which was nice so I got over it. He gets my bowl and I leave. I get back to work and my rice and beans in the bowl are freezing cold. They didn't cook it or even try to warm it up. Even the vegetables are freezing. My friend and I have eaten dinner or lunch here a few times a week for more than 2 years. It has gone down hill so badly that tonight we vowed never to return to this location. The place is filthy, really unkept and filthy. The service is almost non-existent. There was no one at the cash register counter to take orders and after waiting several minutes and calling out with no response I walked around the corner into the food prep area. It was disgusting! We have noticed over the past few months that there is a new manager every time we go in. We used to be hopeful that the new one would make a positive difference but each new person was not there the next time we came in and their replacement seemed less experienced. Tonight I had to ask who was the manager. The woman said it was her 1st job at managing a restaurant. There was a young girl there once when I tried to order for the first time back in 2015, I was very pregnant and had never eaten there. She was so rude and was snappy about my not knowing they didn't still serve lunch. (Sorry but their menu inside is crazy overwhelming) and sorry I didn't read every detail. She simply didn't need to be rude and snappy. She's lucky my prego ass didn't chew her a new one, with how hangry I was. Basically from her attitude and how she spoke to me, we just walked out and told them thanks but no thanks. Terrible customer service is one of my biggest issues with businesses. I've worked in sales and customer service my whole life and I guess I hold my standard higher. I don't care who you are, treat people how you'd want yourself or your own family to be treated. If you can't do that, find a new job. I'm sure the young 18-20 something isn't there anymore. But if she couldn't handle appropriate customer service at a job at Panera, good luck somewhere else. I normally love Panera, but this location is terrible. I walked in, placed my $15.00 order on the kiosk and headed to the pick up spot to pick up my food. I was stopped by who I am assuming is the manager who asked me if he could help me. I told him that I just placed my order and was waiting for my food. He informed me that they were closed and asked which door I came. I came in through the side door as it was closest to my car. He said that they were having a employee meeting and that they would cancel my order. Their website and here on yelp indicates that they should be opened. I searched for about 15min trying to find a restaurant in the area that would accommodate my dietary needs before I came here. The service my husband and I have here on 4/22 /24 was terrible. First thing after ordering my husband walk up to the kitchen ask the girl if he can have his drink cup first. She looks at him and said I give you when I give you. Omg and when our sandwiches ready he still didn't receive his cup. I have go to ask her again. She gives me without a word apology or anything. And when we just in the middle of eating. The cleaning girl comes next to us and sweeping all the trash to our table I can feel it lands on my feet and flying dust into our food. I frequently go to other Panera locations and receive great service. This location is the closest to my home and I will purposefully drive farther if I decide to order Panera again. I've definitely experienced why they have several low ratings. I first tried this location out last year ordered a large iced tea and received a large iced black coffee. Anyways, I decided to give this location another chance today. My usual order for years is a half Cesar salad and half turkey apple cheddar sandwich. The woman taking my order advised that the apple cheddar sandwich is seasonal and they do not carry it anymore. Since I've ordered that sandwich for years it's obviously not seasonal and it's still up on their drive thru menu. I asked "how is it seasonal I usually order this?". No response from the woman taking my order. I said "hello?". Another 30 seconds go by silence. "Hello?" Again. Silence. At this point I decide to leave and go somewhere else. Only when I am about to leave the woman says "do you want a BLT?". What in the world? This is my first time at this location and it did not disappoint. I loved the convenience of being able to order in an interactive screen just as you walk in. (No need to go to the counter unless you want to.) After you order and pay you just find a table and wait for your food to come to you. So fast and easy. The food is amazing and fresh as normal. I love their broccoli cheddar soup. This was my first time trying the kids meals (never realized they had kids meal), they were great and my girls loved getting options. One opted for the ham and cheese with yogurt and the other got the grilled cheese and yogurt. My favorite is always the pick 2 option. I love being able to get a cup of soup and half a sandwich, it is the perfect size for me. The personnel working here were really friendly and accommodating. We could not find the small water cup lids for the kids cups and an associate went and got us some from the back. I will definitely be back.
