I have never had Panera, I decided to give it a try at this location. I was genuinely..very impressed! I got the Bacon Turkey Bravo and the New salad they had..seemed to be a good season to try Panera. LOVED IT! I understand everyone has their opinions but I rlly did enjoy the food, aswell as the atmosphere. The workers that I interacted with were so kind and were helpful. Definitely do recommend this Panera. Though, I will add the area is not the best but there's only so much you can do, and so much this Panera can do. Delicious fresh food. I absolutely love the quinoa lentil soup. It has the best flavor! I'm a little disappointed about serving sizes. I ordered the soup to go and when I got home it was about 1/2 a cup. I've also ordered half of sandwich and when I got home to eat it there was approximately 1 Tbs of tuna on the bread. This particular location needs to get their act together. Sadly, it's the one closest to me. It pains me a little to give 2 stars because Panera food is really good. If this review was only based on food, I'd give 4-5 stars. But this review is about the Metro location and how they roll. Today, they forgot my Thai chicken salad. Last time, I got a half sandwich but was charged for a full one. Another time the girl at the drive-thru was in a rush, practically threw the bag my way, it fell and landed on the ground. Guess who had to get out and pick it...in the rain? Yup, you guessed it. Awesome. The reason for drive-thru is so we don't have to get out of our car, sheesh! I'm still bitter about not getting my Thai salad today. I didn't check the bag before I left the drive-thru so maybe it's partly my fault, too. Guess I just expected the food I paid for to be in the bag. Imagine that?!? Next time I want Panera, I'm heading to Arrowhead. Haven't been to that location yet. Okay, so everyone's probably tasted Panera Bread/Paradise Bakery's food during a visit to almost any of the malls. This location does not disappoint fans of their standard fare PLUS it has the added bonus of having a drive-through! I have two little guys and often the idea of dragging them in and out of a place just to pick up a quick bite to eat is daunting. Let's face it - mobilizing little ones is anything but quick. That reduces the number of places to grab food to burgers or Mexican food, both of which I enjoy, but probably should eat in moderation. But no more! Now I can visit this Panera Bread and pick up a soup, salad or a sandwich without waking sleeping babies in the back of the car! As much as I love me some fries, this quick option leaves me feeling much better about myself while still saving time. I called to get the refund and the manager didn't believe that we were missing a sandwich and was rude to me, questioning if I was telling the truth because her employees could NEVER make a mistake like that (even though it was a super chaotic system of order checking ). Terrible customer service. This is just the second time I've ordered a group order and both times now they forgot to include an item we ordered. We'll be going elsewhere from now on. She didn't seem happy to be working there and made me feel like I had to make my order quickly and if I changed something, she's get bothered. This morning was a hard morning for me. I had to go grab my belongings from my classroom now that schools are shutdown for the remainder of the school year. I left my school feeling upset that I wouldn't see my kids again. I decided to stop by Panera on the way home to grab a coffee to hopefully make myself feel better. Jesse was working the drive thru and gave me a wonderful experience. He was genuinely happy to be at work and made me smile. He recommended I use my pastry reward on a cinnamon roll and told me how he likes to microwave it for 20 seconds before eating it. I really appreciate how Jesse took the time to give me this experience amid everything that's happening in the world. This was my first time trying Panera and I have to say it was nothing special. My wife and daughter drove through and picked up lunch while they were running errands. I got the Roasted Turkey, Apple, and Cheddar sandwich as well as the Four Cheese Grilled Cheese sandwich so I could try both. They didn't have the Apple slaw for the Turkey sandwich so it was just turkey, cheese and a sad looking lettuce leaf. They should have at least discounted the price if they don't have all the ingredients. The Four Cheese grilled cheese was pathetic. I could throw a slice of cheese between two slices of bread and it would have been cheesier. I tried the Pecan Braid pastry and it was ok. So I guess if this is "clean" food, I'll stick to something a bit less sanitary, and satisfying. read more

The food is alright at this location. The dining area is clean enough. The tables are always wet after they wipe them down, which I'm not a fan of since I'm sure the rag isn't that clean. But I wonder if the idea is to make it obvious it's been wiped down, like when you leave lines on the carpet when vacuuming. The previous workers over the summer were very nice and accommodating. The more recent workers have been nazis and not very friendly. Pull forward when there is absolutely no one in the drive thru line. Then bring your food out to you ten to fifteen minutes later. Wow I should have went to raising canes. Or another restaurant. I have been doing Greek salads at This location and there has just been too much drama to keep going. I just want them to fill up the salad. They seem too stingy to me. I thought I was talking to the manager come to find out she was lying to me. In the end the 'real' manager (If she wasn't lying like the last lady) brought out what I asked for. I had to wait about 15 more minutes for it though so my wife had to wait for me to finish eating. Man, I love this place and decided to splurge on a bagel and coffee. HORRIBLE food quality way way down and price has gone up. I know times are tough but damn I spend 10$ on crap. My drink came in a waxy Pepsi cup which spilled coffee everywhere and my bagel was gross. It's just awful when you splurge when you really can't but it was a me treat and all I did was end up spilling my 6$ drink and gave myself a huge guilt trip for spending money.
