Having enjoyed plenty of authentic Philly cheesesteaks over the years...many of them in Philadelphia itself...I approached this food truck with a healthy dose of skepticism. As soon as I arrived, I met Armand, who told me that he and his brother started the food truck about seven years ago. He was warm, personable, and genuinely Texas-friendly, which immediately set a positive tone for the experience. Ordering a cheesesteak is a simple three-step process: 1) Pick your cheese. 2) Choose your toppings. 3) Be polite and place your order. (I loved that part!) I ordered the cheesesteak with American cheese and grilled onions, along with a side of fries. Let me tell you...this sandwich completely exceeded my expectations! For a moment, I felt like I was back in Philly. The bread was soft, fresh, and flavorful. The steak was unbelievably tender and packed with flavor...so good that I couldn't stop talking about it. The portion size was generous enough for two people, so I ended up sharing half with the hubs. Needless to say, R&B's Steak and Fries turned this cheesesteak skeptic into a believer.

I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to be able to try so much here and highly appreciative of the warmhearted welcoming owners and staff that I saw there each day. You can't go wrong with a burger from here- nice and tender patties, soft buns, ample cheese, and the Phillies are fantastic whether you opt for the chicken or beef.

The atmosphere is casual and laid-back, making it an easy choice for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Their menu focuses on classic favorites done right, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and satisfying portions. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak, buffalo chicken fingers, and the smash burger, and everything was absolutely delicious. The Philly cheesesteak was packed with tender, flavorful meat and melted cheese, while the buffalo chicken fingers were crispy, juicy, and perfectly coated with just the right amount of heat. The smash burger stood out with its crispy edges, juicy patty, and well-balanced toppings. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made to order. Mile High Mo's delivers solid comfort food that hits the spot, and it's definitely a place worth checking out if you're in Austin and craving something flavorful and satisfying.

The Game Changer cheesesteak is clearly the centerpiece of the menu, combining Beyond Meat with vegan cheese in a monstrous, meaty sandwich. I have to say that the addition of ketchup was a bit odd, and could have been better either substituted with marinara or omitted, but I still polished off my half of this beast all the same. The mushroom pizza pockets were faultless, if you're in more of a snacking mood. Just ask to swap the ricotta with vegan cheese and you'll be treated to umami shrooms sauteed with a touch of balsamic, wrapped in golden dough, and generously portioned at that. Happy hour is clearly the time to visit, with all pizzas clocking in at $10, and select drinks at $5. I'll have to time out my next visit better to take advantage.

It's now located in the old Gordough's location. Not surprised they closed down, honestly. Maybe ignoring their customers wasn't the best way to stay in business. See my review for them. This is also the old south Austin Good Eats location. Remember them? The best chicken fried steak. Anyway, their pizza is still pretty good. I do have a couple of minor complaints. The pizza is rolled out so thin, that it does not support the weight of the toppings. If you get a red sauce, you're going to have a soggy crust when you finally get the pizza home. Still nice and chewy, so that's good. I also bought some pizza rolls. I didn't realize that the Americana had Italian sausage in them because I did not read the description closely enough. BTW, the Americana contains Italian sausage? Think about that for a minute. They were nice and spicy. The side of red sauce wasn't enough. Also, it's gotten really expensive. $20 for the pizza. Another nine dollars for the pizza rolls, and since I ordered online I got charged a $2.50 convenience fee. That's not on the restaurant; I understand. I just wish that the platform had told me I was being charged a convenience fee. I would have placed a phone order otherwise. BTW, if you order online through yelp, you get charged $19 and change for the pizza. If you order through DoorDash, it's $20.80. I also had problems getting to their website. That made viewing the menu difficult. I would eat here again, probably. But like I said I don't live in Austin so it's unlikely.

Somehow we just learned about this place, and I wish we would have known sooner. My Husband has…read morebeen craving a Chicago dog since the last Chicago eatery closed their doors years ago. When we found out, we rushed over for a Father's day meal. The atmosphere was pretty cool, interesting pictures on the walls, someone put a lot of effort, time and thought into the decorating of this establishment. All men running the joint, we told the guy who took our order(who was very nice), it was our first time here. They have been in business for 16 years(not at this location)! So lets get down to the food. My Husband ordered the two dog combo, one a Chicago dog, another a sauerkraut dog, it came with fries. He sad the dogs were amazing, they hit all the marks. The fries were ok, a little room temp(but to be fare we came there 30 minutes before closing). The soda's were really great, not two sirupy, not too carbonated, we enjoyed them. I ordered a pizza with Italian sausage added. They gave us our drinks for free, which was awesome. I didn't know what to expect with the pizza, but I was blown away by it. They should be very proud of the recipe they created. Most places over season/spice their sauces. The flavor of the tomato gets drowned out. This was absolutely not the case the sauce did not sow out the crust whatsoever it held its crisp the whole time. The sausage was wonderful. The cheese was everything you wanted on a pizza. I can say it's the best than crust pizza I think I've ever had. My husband tried it and we fought over who was going to be eating it for lunch tomorrow. It was huge. I wasn't expecting it to be that big. I will be dreaming about that pizza, and craving it. This is my go to place to get good pizza. It blows Nikki's out of the water. If you are craving some good then crust, pizza, or hotdog I suggest you go there. They also have chili fries, cheesesteaks, so much. They have one of those menus, where everything looks good, and it's hard to decide. Just try it. Warning, this pizza is 14 in(seemed bigger), and it being thin crust, and tasting so good, you might find yourself eating the whole thing. Wish we had pics to post, but we did not think of doing it, will do next time(which will probably be later this week, it was that good).

The Chicago Dog was good, not the best I've had. (6/10) The fries were a huge disappointment, unfortunately. Would skip them entirely next time. (2/10) Also, I was disappointed in the drink selection, no Old Style nor Goose Island to wash down the food for the full authentic experience. Loved the decor. Surprised they had little foot traffic for how good this place is. Service was mid. I will definitely consider coming back again.
