Parker's Lighthouse is a lovely seafood restaurant along the harbor. It's the perfect spot to try if your visiting the area or a local looking for a more upscale dining experience with a view. We came for a early lunch on the weekend and naturally this spot was pretty packed. You definitely would need a reservation to be able to get seated right away. Thankfully We did and got a lovely outside table with a view. The menu is surprisingly extensive with so many great options from seafood dishes, to appetizers, salads, and sushi. You are bound to find something here for everyone. Also a nice cocktail, beer and wine menu on the back. The service was good, our waiter was very friendly and personable. I felt we were checked up upon often enough but did sometimes run out of drinks before he could refill. In fairness to him though they were busy and once he was able to make way to our table he did always get us what we needed. The food also came out surprisingly quickly and the entire dining experience was very enjoyable. The food was great! We opted for a classic, the fish and chips. They didn't disappoint. Super flakey, crispy, and fresh. Huge portion of fish and the French fries were also good. I'm a sucker for a good tartar sauce which I had say they had a fabulous one. Everyone at the table was thrilled with their meals and just the overall nice dining experience. A little pricey for some I am sure but you get what you pay for. The food was fantastic and worth it. My husband and I went to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better place. Went and dined for lunch today on my lunch break from work and could not have had a better lunch experience. Came in and was greeted immediately by the host and was seated in the 180 water viewing area of the dining room. Henry then came and greeted me by name, provided a tour of menu, and asked for drinks. Shortly after he returned with my iced tea and helped me decide what to have as an appetizer as I was stuck between clam chowder and the brussel sprouts and ultimately choose the vrussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were fresh and perfectly baked for nice crisp crunch. The sauce drizzled atop and hummus accompanying it made the appetizer superb. For my main entree I choose the mixed grill plate which was nicely presented on a bed of grilled vegetables. The fish selection was fresh and the accompanying sauce and paste underlying the vegetables was scrumptious. I couldn't finish it all and Henry boxed it nicely for me to take to go. He then said I ought to complement my meal with a butter cake to before I head back to work of which I obliged with how he made it sound so tasty. I told him that I had an allergy to strawberries but he said he do without and possibly do raspberry instead. The butter cake was warm and with the ice cream atop was a perfect touch to complement the butter cake. I obviously could not finish that either but Henry did not hesitate to box the remaining for me to take to go. In between each of the courses, Henry ensured the table was clear with fresh silverware. Not far from the aquarium is Seaport Village and Parkers' Lighthouse. Great menu and a very inviting restaurant... so we chose to enjoy a relaxing dinner on their patio. And that's exactly what we did. Our server, Simo, was polite, friendly, well informed, and provided really great service. A real charming gentleman. The food was very tasty and dinner was relaxing. We sat on the patio with a view of the Queen Mary. We all ate seafood and glad that we did. I was very pleased with each meal. On the way out we used the very clean rest rooms and took a bit of a self-guided tour. This is a very large and beautiful restaurant. This was a memorable meal and experience. Unfortunately, the next day we started getting charges to our credit card from the Long Beach area. We used the credit card only once... unfortunately it was at Parkers' Lighthouse. Our credit card company dealt with the problem and I called and spoke to a manager (Dave) to let them know. He was sympathetic and apologized; I appreciated that. We have been to this restaurant many times over many years. The food and service are quite good. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. While they have a variety of seating areas, it always just feels a little off. Ambiance is lacking and one space/room to the next feels disconnected. Front entrance is very dark when you enter, yet the other spaces throughout are light. Menu offers a nice variety. Staff is great. Ordered edamame and they microwaved the hell out of it it was smokin hot and shriveled..Fish tacos were blackened salmon, my daughters didn't think much of them and they are huge fish taco fans ..I ordered beet salad and it was ground up and looked like puke on bottom of salad topped with arugula (use whole, sliced, or diced beets please then it won't look like dog food) salad dressing was too hard to mix so I scooped it and drizzled ..consistency was like hard honey. Mediterranean salad was not close to authentic in any way other than the right veggie just not seasoned with anything, shrimp cocktail appetizer ordered came with 4 shrimp. That's a first ! I always get 5 everywhere I have ordered and they were not by any means colossal shrimp. What perturbed me the most is that the waiter served our lunch and left all the dirty appetizer plates on table and didn't even think about taking when he came back a second time. I ended up getting a bus boy to take them being that one of my kids has a shell fish allergy which waiter didn't know because I didn't tell him but still, serving lunch with all the piles plates is a not So good thing. We came here for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. I ordered the salmon plate and it was made really well, crispy at the edges and barely needed anything extra to go with! My partner had the seafood pasta and that was probably the best. I'm not a shandy person, but I ordered that drink it was wonderful! I'd definitely recommend it. Don't forget that this place validates parking! Shrimp cocktails (5/5): these prawns were massive and meaty, so I definitely think it's with the money. Calamari (5/5): It was a big portion to share with your party for appetizers, but what I loved most was the aioli sauce. Oysters (4/5): I forgot which oysters we got, but we ordered a half dozen. It was exactly how you would expect oysters to taste Sashimi combination (2/5): this dish comes with your typical popular sashimi graded fish and a side of miso soup and rice. However this dish looked extremely disappointing and was not worth $30. It was not presentable for sashimi. This restaurant is fairly expensive, but I wouldn't come back voluntarily.
