This was my first time having a la carte (rather than all you can eat) Korean BBQ and I'm definitely a fan! Park's is located in a small shopping center & mainly has valet parking for $4. You might get lucky with finding a street spot depending on what time you come, but I ended up just paying the $4 to avoid the stress of parking in Ktown. We had a party of 7 and my friend had arrived at 6:30 PM on Sunday evening to get a table. The wait was about 30 mins, but you need the full party to be seated. As a result, we waited til around 7:30 PM (another 30 mins to be put back in the waitlist queue). We ordered 2 combos (both intended to serve around 4) and it ended up being a perfect amount of food. This is definitely more of a splurge meal for me, as it totaled to around $75 pp (including drinks for the table), but I would definitely come back in the future. The service was pretty prompt, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the side dishes (banchan) were delicious! read more

My absolute favorite meal so far while in LA. It was worth every penny!! The staff were super attentive and helpful with helping us cook the meat, veggies and pineapple. Each cut of meat was like butter. The side dishes were also flavorful and diverse. I highly recommend coming here for kbbq! read more

Has to be one of the best Korean bbq in LA. I've been going here for years and always been great. Recommended friends and they loved it also. Now that I live close by, it's my usual go to spot. They got some competition with chosun galbi, also a great one. And also both places have the best nengmyun (noodles). read more

First time visiting Park's BBQ. As you walk in you're faced with a wall of pictures of famous faces on the wall with the owner. Park's popularity is definitely attributed to its star and staying power in KTown. Does it live up to the hype? This is greatly going to depend on how you enjoy and feel about kbbq. I'm a big fan of kbbq and am willing to splurge for a good experience. The menu pricing here is not for a casual enjoyer, you're in here to have a good outing and being willing to spend at least $100 per person. Thankfully as first timers they have a best of Park's selection of various meat options to share. Every cut of meat we had was tender and paired well with that assortment of ssam that we added on to our meal. The array of banchan also compliment the meal well. I felt the entire meal was well portioned for a party of 2 when we opted for their best of Park's P1 option. We were comfortably full by the end. Service is really attentive. A big appeal for me is they cook your meat perfectly for you and there is always folks stationed in the dining room should you need anything. I definitely recommend a reservation. Even for a lunch seating at 11:30 (around when they open) they were busy for a Friday lunch. read more

There seems to be a lot of people who come here, sometimes a line at peak dinner hours on weekends. Was surprised they close at 10PM. I'm glad I got to try it, but for the price and just what they offer overall, I'd pass on going again. "GGot Sal" is called the flower meat because of its perfect marbling. I have had perfect marbling and for 66 dollars, that was not premium meat. "Parks Galbi" why was half of it marinated and the other half not..? The meat wasn't as tender and juicy and flavorful as it should've been. "Seasoned Boneless Beef Rib" quality of meat looked good, the seasoning was okay, kind of on the sweeter side. "Beef Outside Skirt" definitely on the leaner side. If you know what I mean, the meat tasted like meat--not making it my favorite. "Natural Pork Belly" just classic pork belly. On the leaner side in my opinion. "Beef Tartare" The quality of meat was great and I liked that it had pine nuts and perilla leaves. Naengmyeon noodles are good, the broth is good if you add mustard and vinegar imo. The steamed egg was good, but I wouldn't order it again just because it's something I can make at home and other kbbq places give you steamed egg as a complimentary dish. Side dishes: overall good! I liked that they had a variety of them. They cook everything for you, and give you everything you need, including pouring water lol. The tables are set up so each table is more secluded, rather than being one big open space. read more

Special occasion Korean BBQ. I've been here twice and have always been impressed by the quality of the meat cuts. Favorite cuts would have to be the Ggot Sal for the texture and the Parks Galbi for the flavor. I think the marinated pork belly was okay, mainly because I didn't love the flavor. I think the other dishes outside of the meat cuts can be hit or miss. I wasn't a fan of the hot stone bibimbap, mainly because I was expecting the texture of crispy rice from sizzling in the hot stone, but that was not the case. I got it with beef as well, and it was cut up so thin that it was hard to detect because there was no texture. The service was excellent the first time, mainly because it wasn't very crowded and our waiter was very attentive, and we vowed to come back one day. But my second time was at 2:30pm on a Sunday and it was very busy, so our waitress wasn't always on top of cooking the meats for us. Regardless, I'd still come back the next time I want to get KBBQ again for a special occasion. read more

Probably the best Korean BBQ restaurant I have visited. Traditional style, excellent service. The only downside is slightly smoky environment but expected for a BBQ restaurant. Parking wasn't the easiest either but the food more than made up for it. Ignore the celebrity hype the place is really quite good! read more

This place is a must! We both enjoyed a lovely dinner. The quality of meat and Banchan is better than any Koran Bbq we've had. We arrived around 545pm and there was no wait for a Friday night. The ambiance and service was great. We ordered the P1 plus one side of steam rice and a Japche, we thought the japche was a little pricey for $17.00. This was worth the wait in traffic for a little over an hour from the SF Valley. Except a little on the pricier side, but you do get your moneys worth. The only complain I have is I used the restroom at arrival and there was quite a bit of water near the toilet. read more

short wait (less than 30 min) for a weekend dinner, you just have to scan tjeir qr code and they'll text/call when your table is ready. i recommend trying the p1 combo, it came with ggot sal, galbi, bulgogi, brisket, and boneless short rib. we also ordered the boneless short rib a la carte and mushrooms/veggies and it was more than enough for 4 people. the side dishes were great and they cook the meat for you. they have valet parking too read more

The Korean bbq here is definitely the best quality meat you can get, and is worth every penny. It is the ultimate Korean bbq experience with great service. A solid Korean BBQ spot in LA. I ate here with a coworker for dinner while I was visiting the LA area. This place is a go to establishment. This place was featured in Ugly & Delicious. When you walk in, you see photos of so many famous celebrities that have dined here. It is pretty big with multiple areas. The service is solid where they cook the meat for you. I wouldn't say it's the best, but it is a solid spot for good food and drinks. read more

Very solid Korean BBQ in LA. The meat and banchan quality here are all high quality. Service is standard efficient. Did notice that sometimes the meat ended up burnt when grill was too high of a temp for the thin cuts. Grill changes were good, since their servers cook for you. I recommend the Park's Galbi and the Ggot Sal from the menu. I also like that they have Ssam as an option for wrapping, but you have to pay for it. However, this place is very expensive. You are very much paying for the quality here, so I don't mind it, but this is a place you'd go to for a special occasion and not a place you can go constantly. Unless you're rich I guess, in which case Parks should be your go to. read more

The food was decent. We tried the P1 combo that had their Ggot Sal, Park's Gal-bi, Bulgogi, Beef brisket, and boneless beef short rib. If it wasn't for the price I would have given a higher rating however, $140 is steep for meat you can get at other nearby spots for a quarter of the price. The servers there were great, they cooked the meat to how we wanted it and often checked up on us to see how we were doing. I understand that the hype is about their wagyu and other expensive meats. But Quarter's (another Michelin star kbbq restaurant) offers similar quality of wagyu for a cheaper price. If we come back we'll definitely give the higher tier + chef's cut a try. read more

How funny it's only valet parking but you can just park right outside the restaurant . not a big deal but not make sense at all i guess they tried to make everything fancy? A very popular kbbq restaurant, reservations are definitely recommended. Despite it being a day filled with crazy rain the place was packed when we went for dinner. We checked in and after waiting briefly we were led past a photo wall of celebrities who had dined here. The place is huge and can definitely host very large groups. We selected one of the tasting menus: P2 which includes ribeye and pork belly plus everything from P1. Our server recommended it for our group of 6. We also ordered a few other dishes like soondubu jjigae, steamed egg, and japchae. We wanted to drink some makgeolli but they were out that day so we just went without. They run a very tight ship here and everyone works together to make sure things go smoothly. Our server was the main person who tended to us and cooked our food. But other people came by to check on us and bring us anything else we needed. The food, unsurprisingly, was delicious! Everything tasted very good especially the ribeye. The quality of all the meat was definitely a step above the average kbbq place. And the banchan was varied but also delicious. We left feeling very full and very happy. While there are a ton of good choices for Korean food and kbbq here in LA, Park's BBQ is certainly a top choice. read more

Personally, Parks BBQ is one of my all-time favorite K-bbq spots in LA. I've been coming here regularly recently. The food is always incredible. The quality of the gogi is excellent. Wowza! Loved the quality of meats and delicious side dishes. Arrived at 7 and got seated 30 mins later. The valet is $5. It's pricier than most bbqs. Since this was our first time we ordered the P1 and two meats really stood out, Parks Gal-Bi & Ggot Sal. These two beef's were tender and juicy. The servers basically cook all the meats for ya. Overall great flavor and delicious meal. It's expensive but worth revisiting. read more

Amazing beef. We ordered the P1 which came with about 5 different types of beef and they all were so delicious! They are constantly coming to cook and flip the meat for you so you basically don't even have to worry about the meat which is pretty neat! Potentially the best KBBQ restaurant in LA. Everything about it, including food, service, and ambience, exceeded expectations. This place is clearly popular for a reason. I had the P1 combo, which includes 5 various meats. Although all of them are very good, my favorites from this are Parks Gal-Bi and Boneless Beef Short Rib. Parks Gal-Bi is marinated in their award winning sauce - so delicious! The meats here are definitely high quality. Even the banchan is good. An employee cooked all of the food for us and his timing of everything was spot on. He was also quick to bring us refills of tea and water. Valet parking is only $4 - very reasonable price. Some may say this place is expensive, but for everything you get, it's completely worth it. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Oh my gosh.. sometimes you wonder how good a certain cuisine could get and then you come across a place like Park's. Banchan was amazing and the meat was SUPERB. We did the P1 combo (Ggot Sal, Parks Gal-Bi, Bulgogi, Beef Brisket, Boneless Beef Short Rib) and the galbi was our favorite. We also got the beef short rib soup and it was very fresh and warming! We had dinner here. But we were eating and we had experience a hectic food eating. Just by one mistaken by one menu, our waiter got switched to this aggressive woman. This caused more rapid cooking by that female waitress. When I tried to order to go. She also made a mistakes. So I asked her to come over next to me if she can't hear me correctly from 5 foot away. And second time she made a mistake. So I repeated again. And she finally got it. So my guest asked are you sure she got it right cuz they heard her what she said. So I had to call, manager to check if she got the order, I ordered to go. Few mins later he came back and asked did the order go in twice? I asked him did she ordered? If she put the order, and it is right for them to recheck with customer. Which the manager did correctly. And we asked for extra side dishes, she says she can't give. When we have 5 people came for dinner. It seems like she wants to clear out the customers. As our next table of 10 is already gone. Usually male server does not rush us to eat. We asked her to give us the second time the side dishes and she brings out just 1 cucumber. Something new. Third time asked ...... for the side dishes and she said she will check. She never brought it. They do not have any of the side dishes! Who's supposed to serve? Whose supposed to serve? I asked and she should serve customer. Instead we have to accommodate this one person who gets paid to work! My one experience here with this person ruin the look of this Parks BBQ. This is so not right. Everyone did not enjoy their meal as we were rushed to eat. The atmosphere was nice but it wasn't the regular open area. I wanted to seat by the window. I was told I will get a one free kimchi jjigae. Thank you. Oh did I mentioned I paid for togo! But never got my Togo order from her! Before I order Togo from the table, the guys who serve usually brought it to me. I almost left without getting my meal. What kinds of service does this person do? I would give her a zero. Because I come here almost daily, although recently I couldn't come due to my priorities aren't met. But I give the restaurant 5 for their good taste! She probably put the order in and did not bother to accommodate when we will leave. Instead just let it sit there. My kimchi pancake was not even hot! Bad experience this day and my sister from Dallas came to eat birthday with my mom. We ordered P1, and she served our meal together! Thats why we didn't even know we had two meals of P1, cuz she just dump all of it and not one at a time! read more

Food was excellent. Parks Gal-bi, G Got Sal, Ribeye Bulgogi, and Tiger shrimps must all be tried! We also had the kimchi stone fried rice and japchae. The service was great and the staff was courteous and helpful. The dining area was clean and the grill was changed a few times to maintain best grilling condition. Will definitely return. read more

Came here for a birthday dinner and it's pretty good! Parking is valet, forgot how much though. Restaurant is huge and has two floors. Interior was pretty nice for a kbbq spot. Staff was helpful but not exceptional. Everything came out quick. The meats and sides were good however if we didn't add on the ribeye cap, we would not have gotten full with just ordering P1 for 3 people. Ribeye was honestly just okay and was not worth paying over $200 for 12.8oz. Overall yes, food was good but totally overpriced. I would choose Origin or Baekjong for quality, price, and quantity. read more

For an inexperienced KBBQ eater, this was beyond fantastic ! We split the "P1. Ggot Sal, Parks Gal-Bi, Bulgogi, Beef Brisket, Boneless Beef Short Rib" , beef tartar, and veggie stone pot fried rice and it was more than enough for 3 people. Came to about $70 each, no drinks. Pretty good! We went around 4:30 on a Wednesday and there was no line! The waiters cooked the meat to perfection for us and were helpful in explaining what everything is. We also scarfed down the appetizers that came with the P1. My favorite was the mushrooms. Would definitely like to come back! read more

Been coming here for a very long time. The hostess Young is awesome and always helpful. Quality of food is outstanding. We always get kimchi stew omg it's great, non marinated galbi is the best here and better than anywhere else. The brisket is out standing also. 4/16/22 - I just made a reservation, and it not require me to provide a credit card. All they ask for is: name, phone number, party #, and desired time.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
