Getting in and out of this center has always been an issue. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to maneuver around horrible driving. We got a hold of a BOGO deal and so went for lunch. I like their Kung Pao Shrimp with brown rice. Their plate sizes are pretty large. The batter on the shrimp is filled with flavor. Service is fairly quick and food is served at a good temperature. I normally only go when they have their BOGO, but otherwise the food quality/quantity is a fair deal compared to prices. I heard this is a subsidiary of P.F. So disappointed in the change Pei Wei has taken. They used to be owned by P.F. Chang's and now they are owned by PickUp stix. And the change is absolutely noticeable. They now offer sushi. Hello, This is regarding order 8097374738841600. I had a family emergency which made me unavailable to pick up this order. I called the store at 8pm and there was no option to leave a voicemail. When I called the store the next day, I spoke to a Hispanic gentleman named Robert. He was extremely rude and condescending. I could hardly understand him (lots of broken English)I told him exactly what I had ordered online and also provided the order#. He said, "We don't have time to be looking up the order, might take 20 mins to even look up the order." Excuse me but what country do we live in to tell someone who has clearly paid for their dinner, that they need to wait for them to pull up an order through their POS system. I went in personally and this guys is a character. I show him my online receipt and he looks at me as if I'm some sort of scammer or thief trying to rob the store. I explained to him that I had called several times at 8pm to leave a VM and request the order remade and he wasn't having it. He still asked to show my account info, made fun of my legal name and disappeared into the office room. He came back 6 mins later and decided to remake my food telling me they don't usually help in these situations, in a very arrogant and offensive way. This was the most horrendous and most awkward experience I have had as a customer in this establishment. Pei Wei Performance has Declined Pei Wei used to be a solid go-to for semi-affordable and fresh Asian fusion cuisine. My husband and I have visited this location, one in Bella Terra, and another in Brea at least a dozen times combined. A few things have changed at the chain in that time which I believe deserve noting after today's visit. Their rendition of orange chicken has been revamped from the older somewhat soggy orange peel chicken to a tempura battered version. My husband really liked it. We ordered two standby menu items however, which were below our expectations. The crab Rangoon seemed somewhat tasteless. Didn't there used to be some green pepper or green onion in there? The Dan Dan noodles seemed pretty good until I had my husband taste them and he pointed out that the sauce had an oily burned flavor. I continued to muddle through the dish until I bit into the characteristic flavor and texture of raw chicken. At That moment, I was done. It is too bad thus spot has declined. read more

There was a constantly screaming child inside the restaurant so I chose to go sit outside and eat on the patio. There is every single option for any kind of drink you could want at the fountains. When my roll came out, I got the whiff of fish... so that made me a little nervous. The roll was ok, nothing really special and didnt have a lot of flavor to me. The chicken lo mien was pretty good, better than a lot of things I have had previously. Im still not sold on this place like I used to be... I used to eat here once a week, years ago... Although it may be busy here during the lunch rush, I always get a seat. After you place your order, they give you a number. All you have to do is just find your table with the number and voila! No hassle with having to wait for someone to finish, or stand around awkwardly waiting for a table to open up. For lunch, expect to pay less than $10. I like getting their pad thai and they give you a pretty big portion. Service is always consistently nice & efficient. Their hot and sour soup though is just okay. I was a little bit disappointed with the taste- too salty, not enough ingredients, and tasted a little burnt. A side of rice is $0.50- not bad! The only problem is, rice is super dry. Their drinks vending machine is the most high-tech I've seen. Took a lil to figure out how to get it to dispense my drink which was quite interesting. Very bad experience here last weekend. It's a head shaker. They finally had the perfect meal that I raved about in a previous review, and changed the chicken so much that I never want to eat here again. The chicken in the Kung Pao Bowl used to be thick and juicy and delicious and is now thin sliced crunchy, hard, and disgusting. You feel like taking your hands and putting them around the neck of the person who made the decision to make that change and shaking them into submission to change things back. I just don't see this place surviving serving food like that. They went from perfection/greatness to the dog house. If they would have just asked me first--or just read my review--they would have seen no change was needed! Drives me crazy. It's like the Asian version of Corner Bakery...you order at the register & pay first, then sit with your number at a table or booth, and they bring your meals to you. They also used to serve them on ceramic plates, and have actual silverware by the soda machine, just like CB, but since covid, they now use plastic plates & plastic utensils. My favorite item here is their Honey Seared Chicken tossed in their honey signature garlic sauce. It's soooo goood! The Orange Chicken too...both tempura-battered & delicious! Today though I had the Chicken Pad Thai. It was a little different...the noodles were a bit thinner, and it did have peanuts, but they added cilantro on top, and I loved that! Other dishes I've tried are the beef and Korean BBQ steak. Both so juicy and flavorful. I have not ever had a plate that I didn't like. I just wish there were more locations around. The closest we have is Panda Express, but Pei Wei is so much better. They have gluten free options, and I was in heaven! I think about this place all the time, and wish we had one here.
