What went well? Everything! We were going to an event at Copia and arrived here early, but even when we saw the line we said uh oh! It was Sunday, Duh! Even so the staff got us in and seated surprisingly quick. my husband ordered. The everything scrambled with a mimosa and coffee. I ordered the Benedict with coffee. All excellent! I've been waiting to try this place. We went around 11 am on a Weekday. I was greeted right away and sat outside on the patio. It was very nice and relaxing. We ordered the ricotta pancakes, huevos rancheros and chicken and waffles. The service was great, she was super nice and let us ask questions. The food was very good. Our favorite was the pancakes. The sauce on the rancheros was very good. The prices are pretty high but not out of range for Napa. I'm definitely coming back to try more food. read more

We were very excited to try Petit Soleil now that the previous owners are gone. The place is small and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Every table was full on our Sunday morning visit. There was a delightful young lady adding names to the waiting list, which they worked through pretty quickly. All staff members we interacted with were very friendly and helpful, including the owner who was really hustling to assist. The ingredients used were obviously high quality. My eggs Benedict included pretty thick slices of ham and a really great citrus hollandaise sauce, piled on a thick, fluffy English muffin. The side of home fries was very spicy (not hot) and flavorful! Definitely better than average. My wife's kitchen sink scramble was SO delicious! It includes eggs, potatoes, ham, bacon, onions, mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, white cheddar and sour cream and is easily two portions, if not three. Served with thick cut toast, it was also much better than we expected! Petit Soleil obviously wants to 'do it better' than their competition, and they succeed in every way! Really great brunch option in downtown Napa. I've had my share of egg and skillet dishes, but I have to say this is one of the better skillet's I've had. I had the Kitchen Sink skillet scramble and it was just a really good dish (very flavorful, not too overwhelming in terms of all the ingredients it had, it all just worked together and was really tasty). I would highly recommend. My friends and I also shared the special of the day - stuffed french toast with your choice of fruit, we chose strawberries. It was really light and tasty although I am glad we shared because it would have been too sweet for just a dish by itself. We sat outside in their patio area and the service was great. Petit Soleil is a hidden gem in downtown. It's a pretty small restaurant that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a very cute boutique style restaurant and their food is pretty good! I had the chicken and waffles and my boyfriend had the biscuits n gravy . Both dishes are pretty good. Once seated, our orders were taken fairly quickly and the food arrived in 10-20min. There's just something nourishing about eggs and potatoes in the morning, and they did eggs and potatoes right for both of our dishes. We ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the Kitchen Sink Skillet Scramble (not the most appetizing name imo). Again - simply, nourishing, and no it wasn't some bias from a hangover (we didn't have one). The English muffin is home made, I think their version of the Model bakery muffin - crispy and chewy yumminess. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to our server. It took a while to place our order and she didn't tend to us once we got our food, we had to ask three other people for things we needed. I was eager to patronize this restaurant, because I love the location. I've loved most of the restaurants that have been here, and I wanted to give the new owners a try since the previous owners are so atrocious. Unfortunately, I ordered an arugula, beet and strawberry salad and they added some lettuce and the lettuce was like from the bottom of the bag. It was a little bit brown on the leaf and certainly brown on the edges. You say why didn't I send it back? I don't know I just didn't feel like interrupting the flow of the good time I was having with my friend. They also took a really long time to give me my menu. I had to ask, and then they took a really long time picking up the bill. It wasn't the worst service I've ever had. But I was not motivated to tip more than 18%. The restaurant itself is as cute as ever. It's just such a pleasant patio and I love eating in the spot. It's just a little quiet nook away from the rest of Napa. Fantastic neighborhood cafe. As an out of town traveler, I found myself warmly welcomed by the waitstaff. I was seated quickly, and even though it was fairly busy, every staff member made, eye contact, and was clearly aware of each of the clientele. The plates all looked amazing, and I might have had a difficult time choosing if it weren't for the fact that I always judge a cafe based on their Benedict breakfast. It was superb, with a zesty fresh sauce and the perfect amount of lemon. The potatoes were also perfectly browned, and they even carried Cholula hot sauce, my favorite go to hot sauce.
