For an airport restaurant they have really good food and cocktails. I had the fish tacos and they are probably the best fish tacos I've had. Good size pieces of grilled Mahi Mahi. Food was typical airport food I guess. I'm only rating it low for false advertising on the menu. We ordered the kalua pork n chips which was described as kalua pork on top of kettle cooked potato chips. Instead we got a little kalua pork on top of soggy French fries. I understand if they ran out of kettle cooked chips but the waiter should've told us that because I definitely would not have ordered what they ended up giving me instead. The burger we ordered said it came with fried onion strings. Instead we got a tablespoon of French's onions from the bag (like what you put on top of green bean casserole at Thanksgiving). Again, the waiter should've disclosed this to us, but instead he just plopped the disappointing burger down and said nothing. For all the fancy stores in Honulu Airport, our food option was a thumbs down. My daughter and I ate at the PGA Tour Grill. She got the Chipshot Chicken fingers and they were something you find in your local fast food/grocery store. They also did not have dipping sauces for her chicken fingers which ruined her meal. We were taking an evening departure flight from HNL to DFW knowing there would be minimal food service on board and after strolling the terminal's unappealing fast food options the PGA Tour Grill had their menu displayed and it sounded GOOD! Got the black and bleu and grilled pesto chicken flatbreads and they were pretty good. I appreciate when I can get something decent at the airport and they don't treat me as a one and done customer. This is my go to place when flying out of HNL via Alaska Airlines. I have probably been here...10 times. I always get the Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich and upgrade to Sweet Potato fries. The fries are always nice and crispy with so much sweet potato flavor. The ladies are very friendly and quickly get us in ansoutnso we never miss our flight. This is hands down the best airport restaurant experience I've ever had. Everything was delicious and up to par. I especially enjoyed the sweet potato fries; tasted super fresh. Both sandwiches were rich in favor and extremely filling. The mango cheesecake was a little too sweet, needs a touch of citrus but delicious none the less. Its open seating for the most part. My server was absolutely amazing and made the dining experience complete. I have been traveling alone and being super young, I've experienced a lot of rude servers that were very inhospitable because I'm younger. Maria made me feel so catered to and taken care of. My eggs were perfect, they gave me more bacon than I expected and it was perfectly done. The potatoes were okay. My only complaint was the "toast". It was barely warm bread. Not toasted at all, which is why you didn't get . However, when I tasted it, I put some blackberry jelly on it and that was delicious! The flatbread was insanely bad... barely a step above lunchables. Sliced tomato, a few pieces of mozzarella & very bland sauce on stale bread. What it lacked in flavor it also lacked in size. I didn't take a photo at the time, but you can see a photo in someone else's post next to a knife to show scale. Literally, about 4 x 8". Two pieces of sliced bread together are bigger. These two flatbread $18.99 each. Now, onto the soup. I swear there's a can of Campbell's back in the kitchen. It was disgusting. A better value would've been just to spend that $64 on alcohol at the bar. lack of size.
