We went here yesterday 4/5/23 to get lunch.. We were seated very quickly and our food came out even faster. We ordered: 1. 4 Piece Eggrolls 2. Combination Bowl 3. Pork Bowl Pho Everything was delicious! I was a bit bummed my egg rolls came out a tad bit cold, but that's okay! It was still great and delicious! I will be sure to come back and eat more. Our bill was about 35 bucks, and it was well worth it. The soup came out pipping hot and was flavored wonderfully. Thanks for being awesome guys!! read more

Food was okay, nothing special about the pho. I ordered a small bowl of pho with rare beef and beef ball, but the servers didn't inform me the beef ball would cost extra. The portion for the small bowl was really small, and the whole meal cost me $17, which was not reasonable at all. Service was really fast on a busy afternoon surprisingly. Overall, for that amount of money, I could have gone somewhere else with better price and portion. read more

This place is amazing. I got #1 combination and #3 short ribs with bone, and both of them are very good. I prefer #1 better for both their broth and meat. For #3, the broth is cleaner and slightly sweeter. While the meat is easy to separate from the bone, the meat is not very tender. For the $14/ $15 bowl of pho, they give you a ton of meat that I struggled to finish one bowl. This will be my go to pho place whenever I am in the area. read more

I love Pho 45 . This place has amazing food, generous portions with a lot of meat, very affordable ( ( Small bowl is $12.99 - large bowl is $13.99 ) and really great customer service which is so rare for a Vietnamese restaurant. They greeted us (everyone literally greeted us as we walked in), asked how everything was, checked up and asked if we needed refills on our water. Amazing Highly recommended . read more

We came on a sunday night and the place was half filled. This restaurant was casual and laid back like any other pho restaurant. I like the raced atmosphere. The place was filled with families and couples even noticed a regular customers being greeted by the staff. The waiters were pretty quick and the food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. My father ordered the pho noodle soup and I ordered the Bun noodle with vegetables. They provide a sauce to pour over it and mix. The meat was delicious. It was well marinated and I really liked that this is the place didnt burn or char the meat. This is the first restaurant that didnt do that and the meat wasnt too oily either. The pho was great, the soup had its natural taste so not much msg. We ordered the large size and the portions were really good. Each amount of noodles and meat. I think this place is really good. Food has little msg and the flavors are there. The portions are fair to the price you pay. normally at other restaurants when you ask for the bigger size they just add more noodles which I feel isnt very fair. So i appreciate this place doesn't skimp on the portions. We had an overall good experience here this might be my new go to place for pho and bun. read more

As a Vietnamese local resident, I can confidently say this is the friendliest Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The service is consistently excellent. All the employees are friendly, attentive, welcoming every time and very respectful to old people, which kinda rare in the local. I'm impressed by how they trained their employees. The staff truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home, and it really shows how much they care about their customers. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic food with the best service! Make sure to order the beef belly ( gầu and vè). It's so good, but I hope they can cut them into smaller pieces because big piece is a bit chewy. read more

Very nice, I came with my brother and his family. The kids got free pho . They are both under 3. They even give you scissors to cut the pho .I order the number 18 and it was delicious and it filled me up. I don't like the parking, it's bit small and around a few shops. So good! I ordered #5 which is Pho with rare steak and well-done brisket. I literally got my pho within 5 minutes of ordering. I believe it's a small family owned restaurant. The workers are so nice and attentive and give quick service. There was so much meat given, I thought it was never ending lol. I've never been to a Vietnamese restaurant that gives this much meat with their pho. You have an option for thick or thin noodles as well. The soup base is good, not too salty. If you want a side of white onions, you got it. Or even an extra side cilantro and lemons- they're on it. Would definitely come here again for cheap and yummy pho. read more

Quality pho. Nice clear broth, tons of flavor, not too salty. Consistent good, friendly service. We used to frequent Pho 79 whenever we found ourselves in the O.C., but their service has been lacking and broth has been murky the last few times we've been. We stumbled upon Pho 45 and took a chance...so glad we did! We've been 4 times so far this year (we live in San Diego) and are already looking forward to our next visit. Notable shoutout to their egg rolls and fried rice...lots of flavor and nice sides for when you want a little something extra. read more

An absolute must try at this Pho 45 location. I got the pho dac biet and the broth was flavorful and they did not skimp out on the meat toppings. They had really fast service and what I loved was every time a customer walked in, they would always say "hi, welcome!". They actually acknowledged customers walking in. This definitely alleviated any questions like "did they notice I came in?" Or "Am I being ignored?" And also, let's be real- a lot of asian food places are infamous for not acknowledging anyone when customers walk in. So that's why I was pleasantly surprised when they did! The location is clean and located in a very busy plaza. Parking in the plaza is free, but please have patience when it is packed. I highly suggest coming here to eat the pho dac biet when you're in Orange County. As always, leave tip if you're able to. read more

Update! I tried something new. Shrimp Vermicelli bowl. Throw that sauce they give you on top and EAT! I ordered the shrimp pho. It was absolutely delicious! We arrived 10 minutes before they're close time, and we still received a warm greeting with an offer to have a seat and eat in. Great food, wonderful service. Delicious broth as it should be. This is my go-to pho place in Garden Grove. I usually get the filet mignon pho (small) and have never been disappointed. The beef is tender, thinly sliced, and the broth is flavorful. I appreciate that they are generous with their vegetable sides. I tried the new Ox Tail pho and liked it. The portions of oxtail were relatively meaty and I felt the amount of meat given was adequate for a small portion. Service is always fast and I've never had to wait longer than 15 min for a table. read more

I got here with my family sign in and waited to be seated. They said 5mins. So I was waiting and 4 ppl just walk straight and was seated. They ended up sitting us because we were the last ppl out side. And I have 3 toddlers and 1 newborn. 5mins wait turn into 25mins. Place is trash no common sense. 5 ppl looking at me with 2 empty tables. And was like huh? Maybe they should sit at this two empty tables lol read more

Arguably one of the better pho places I've had in the US. Broth was flavorful with the right amount of sweetness. Brisket and tendon cuts were cooked perfectly. Fresh veggies provided. Only comment is.. there seemed to be more meat than noodle ratio.. but who would complain about that ‍ Definitely worth the wait. read more

With all the rain going on nothing beats a hot bowl of Pho! Beyond the pho, the menu at Pho 45 boasts a variety of Vietnamese dishes that showcase the diversity of flavors in this cuisine. The spring rolls are a refreshing and crisp delight. The service at Pho 45 is consistently excellent and speed of service as well will have you in and out with your belly full. Second time visiting this restaurant. I was really impressed with their pho first time I visited, so I thought I would comeback here whenever I had business in the area. I had combination pho the first time when I was here and it was great. Second time coming, I decided to try something different so I got oxtail pho. Although it was good, oxtail definitely ain't their specialty. There are better places for oxtail pho. Although their broth and noodle was perfect, I prefer the oxtail meat to be a little softer, but it's just my preference. If I was to rate just the oxtail it would be 4/5, but I know this place is still amazing so I would give 5 stars. My favorite pho restaurant in Garden Grove so far. read more

My go-to place for pho and vermicelli in the area. Usually less crowded then Pho 79 and you get seated quickly even on busy days. Ordered the shrimp spring rolls and the minced pork, grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli. Shrimp spring rolls were decent. A bit on the bland side by itself but better with the peanut dipping sauce. Would have liked to see nem nuong as a spring roll option. Minced pork, grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli. If you order vermicelli, be prepared to wait longer than people ordering pho. The vermicelli is a solid option, each of the meat items were delicious. Parking was an issue, the parking spots themselves are all smaller than normal ones. There are lots of "open spots" to park but I don't see how it's possible to fit a car there. The parking lot itself is an ok size but not big enough to accommodate the 2 popular places in the same plaza that usually have a large crowd waiting. Overall, this place is typically a good option for Vietnamese food, but I would recommend coming during off hours if you want easy parking. read more

This was my second time here. The food quality and value are excellent. I can see why this place often has a long wait. We came on Sunday around 2pm and the wait was about 10 minutes. The rib bones are pretty meaty and I'm glad they gave me a serrated knife because there is enough texture to these bones that the meat doesn't simply fall off the bone like at a few other places that serve this. I ordered the small but in hindsight, I will order the large next time because it's only $1 more and I'm told the bowl is huge. The broth flavored was great. The service was prompt. It's not the kind a place I would take a date to impress but if you are looking for very good Pho that has pre-pandemic prices, this is the place. read more

I'm in the Garden Grove area with my family, it's been cold so we've decide to have pho. We've passed by this place a couple of times and it always had a crowd outside the door. So, we decided to give it a try. We had a party of 8 and boy is this place packed for a Tuesday night! This place is small and busy so they were not able to accommodate unless we wanted to wait over two hours. We ended up splitting our group and waited for 40 mins. Overall, I would recommend this place. The soup flavors are really good. Friendly staff and they work pretty quick to turn the tables. I would not recommend dinning in if you have a party of 4 or more. read more

Serves northern/bac style pho. I recommend eating the noodle soup withOUT adding any hoison or Sriracha. It hit just the right spot. Has small and large size noodles, which I always recommend the larger size noodles. The broth was quite delicious, great aroma, came out hot. Dare I say far superior to the others in the area. Only qualm I have is that the noodles were overcooked/borderline mushy this time so if you didn't eat real fast, it definitely would have started to get a little dicey. All the cuts of meat were tender! Service is prompt and courteous. They run a busy casual place. Bottom line: my new go-to Pho restaurant for when there's no time to cook Pho at home! read more

Immediately when you enter, you are greeted. It was my very first time here even though I live so close to this place. I came here with my bf and his friends, all his friends had gotten a number 2,5, and 9 all size large. And then I had gotten the stir fried beef egg noodles which was SO good. They give you a lot of meat and the taste of it is not super salty either and has a nice balance to it which I love. I'm a sucker for a good noodle stir fry. Biggest bang for your buck! Hubby and I have been ordering togo from Pho 45 for the past few months. We really enjoy their Pho Chin (brisket). It's about $13 for a large bowl and they are extremely generous with the portions. We love that they pack the protein here and a large can easily be split into two meals. Pho 45 has been our new go to spot lately now that the weather has been much cooler here in SoCal. It's the ultimate comfort food. The texture of the brisket is always tender and never chewy. The rice noodles are perfect and bouncy. The broth is very clean. However, the flavor of the broth is not nearly as good as Pho 79 but still very exceptional. Pho 45 is honestly still very good. We definitely recommend taking out. Parking here is super tight and the restaurant has very limited seating. read more

Wow, I haven't had food come out to the table that fast. We sat down, ordered, and all our food came out in 3 minutes! Service is great, staff is friendly. The pho was SO good. I was worried if it came out that fast it wouldn't be very good. But it was so delicious and the meats were so tender - drooool. It is small but seats a good amount of people. Hearty bowl of pho is a must before our flight home! Ordered pho with egg noodles topped with beef balls and tripe. I was in Disneyland and ate nothing but lots of sweets and fried food so this hot bowl of pho was really comforting before we boarded our flight! Service is quick the pricing was reasonable. Broth was very tasty; a tad bit salty but nonetheless fulfilling. read more

Holy wow! All around best pho I've ever had! Small mom and pop looking spot in a shopping plaza. We came during a dinner rush with 6 parties ahead of us. But they move fast. Service was very friendly and very fast. I got the combo large pho. LOTS of meat and LOTS of flavor! The broth has such a nice aromatic and beefy flavor. Very silky savory. Ask for the side of sliced onions! I wish I lived closer because I often find myself thinking about this pho! read more

Pho 45 has been in business a little over two months and based on the Yelp reviews I decided to give it a try. I want to note first that the service here is hands down the best of any Vietnamese restaurant ever. The servers are very attentive and treat you like a valued customer. Now the food. The cum bo luc lac (cubed beef) is very flavorful. The beef was tender and cooked to perfection. It is served over a bed of lettuce, grilled onions and parsley with tomato slices and cucumbers. The sauce is the best I have tasted. The goi cuon (spring rolls) were fresh and tasty. The peanut sauce was plentiful and added the right flavor each time you dipped the spring roll in. Location, location, location...you've heard it before and you'll hear it again. This place is on Garden Grove Blvd just east of Magnolia Ave in a shopping plaza with ample parking. Yes this place has parking. No traffic or parking issues here like in Little Saigon (Bolsa Ave and Westminster Ave). Overall I highly recommend giving Pho 45 a try. Prices are fair and reasonable. Like many others, I came here after hearing all the favorable comments from friends and family. Though there was a line out the door, I was quickly seated within 5 minutes. I ended up ordering a large pho with round steak, flank, fatty brisket and thin noodles.The broth had bold flavors and the quality and quantity of meat were excellent. I also ended up ordering a Red Bean drink which was disappointingly bland. But you come here for the pho... not the drinks! So as for the pho, the broth is as good as it gets. The quantity of beef was on par with Pho 79, but the quality of beef was better - similar to Hong Hai. I also liked that the large bowI actually filled me up... something I cannot say when going to some other pho places (Hong Hai, Pho Kim Quy). My boyfriend and I were in Garden Grove this past week and we were having a craving for some Pho. Looked up suggestions on Yelp and found this restaurant Pho 45. We made our way to the restaurant intially we started walking and later determied it was too far to walk so finally we took a cab. We walked in and the staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We are from the north bay and completely fell in love with this amazing place. It's a small but excellent restaurant. I've been to many Pho restaurants, including the well-known Pho 79, but Pho 45 always tastes better. Unless you come in on a weekend night, the wait should not be too long. My family and I have always enjoyed eating here, even when it was known as Pho Quynh. Excellent experience and taste. I had the pho tail nam, gan. The broth was good, not overpowering. The meats were tender, especially the tendon. I have had countless bowl of pho in my life. They close at 4:00 PM, which is just too early. I often get off work and want to stop by for dinner, but they're already closed. Maybe they're mainly focused on the lunch crowd, but hu tieu is something people enjoy any time of the day. I really wish they stayed open later.
