Rainy days call for a warm bowl of soup, and this spot delivered. Lunchtime was definitely busy, so expect a bit of a crowd. Parking is limited since the business shares a lot with other shops. Service was ok. The ambiance was lively, with customers conversation filling the space, making it a bit noisier than average. Now, the soup: the beef broth was fantastic, rich but not heavy, well-balanced without being too watered down. The large portion was generous and easily enough for two people to share.

The pho here was kind of disappointing because the broth wasnt as flavorful as it should've been compared to other pho I've ate before. But their charcoaled pork plate was amazing, that made up for it. The meat had a smokey taste to it was it was seasoned well. Their service is super fast, not sure if thats a good thing because it could mean they premade the food already instead of cooking it fresh. The other plus that is there's parking. That's super rare in LA.

Great service pho is just okay I've had way better , the beef broth is very liquorish and very cinnamon taste had

Disappointing experience overall. The Egg rolls were a letdown -- hard, dry, and flavorless. Definitely not worth the price. They were incredibly hard and dry -- almost like biting into stale crackers. Zero flavor, and the texture made them really unpleasant to eat. For the price they charged, I expected something at least fresh and edible. Totally not worth it. Pho was decent in flavor, but super heavy on the MSG. I was thirsty the entire day after. On the bright side, service was polite and the environment is clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the food quality didn't live up to the setting.

I really enjoyed coming to this place. I've been craving this dish for a long time. I made sure that I ordered a large house special. That's gonna have a lot in it. Give yourself some time to enjoy it. I wanna try more of the appetizers next time because the food here is prepared so ridiculously well that you just have to keep eating For a variety of drinks from alcoholic to nonalcoholic me? I had to have the Vietnamese coffee as it was the middle of the afternoon and a favorite of mine I found the portions incredible I enjoy having water with lime, but I also order extra peppers which helps with the vitamin vitamin C intake lol the service is incredibly fast, but the food is very well prepared. I found this to be a great deal.!

Since I moved to LA, I've been looking for an authentic Vietnamese spot, and I'm so glad I checked out @pholegend.ktown ! As someone who goes to OC a lot/is from San Jose, my standards for Vietnamese food are really high, so it was nice finding a solid spot with an extensive menu of their signature beef/chicken pho noodle bowls, as well as traditional Vietnamese dishes such as broken rice, vermicelli and banh mi. As a broke student, I appreciated the reasonable menu pricing (yes, I'm side-eyeing some other Vietnamese spots that charge $80 for pho LOL), and everything we ordered was made well and HUGE in portion. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're in Ktown and craving authentic Vietnamese food that won't break the bank! I regularly eat here but today i was disapponted because the mung bean sprouts in my vermicwlli salad were old and withered. They were not fresh at all. The tips were visibly brown and soggy. The service is the same. The staff are helpful and the restaurant is clean.

Really good pho in Koreatown. Rare steak is a go-to always and the milk tea is some of the best boba I've had from a pho place. Eggrolls were perfect and the staff were so so friendly. Upscale interior compared to most other pho places too.

I randomly stopped by this Vietnamese restaurant because I had to wait for my car to charge at Vons and was hungry. This place was close and had 4 stars, so I decided to give it a try. The inside was not crowded and looked clean. I ordered the egg rolls, a pork rice dish (#20), and a strawberry soda lemonade (with honey instead of sugar). Everything was delicious! The egg rolls were hot, flavorful, and perfectly crisp. The pork was tasty and there was a good amount of meat. My total was less than $40, which I thought was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

wow i'm ready to be back!!! I knew this place was legit when I saw the avocado smoothie on the menu and ordered that expeditiously. everything we had was absolutely delicious from the house special pho, to the pork chop rice dish, to the egg rolls (viet egg rolls are the best), vermicelli bowl to the banh mi!!! so happy to find a spot closer to me than trekking across to sgv. the service was great, the people who work here are the sweetest!

Decent pho in Ktown! I'm usually skeptical of pho places in Ktown because they don't seem authentic, but I'd say this spot is closer to the traditional style. I got the rare steak and brisket pho and it was pretty good. Wasn't a fan of how clumped the noodles were at the bottom, so it was a bit hard to eat. The flavor itself is great though. The meat was also pretty decent. When I went the restaurant was busy so it did take some effort to flag down staff for things like condiments and the bill.

Decent pho spot that's in the area the flavor wasn't there at all it's more like a Korean fusion pho not Vietnamese imo. Service was wonderful but the lady needed a little help in the morning. The place is nice had a picnic style table.

Delicious pho with amazing service, food, and interior design. We really enjoyed our meal and the prices were extremely affordable. I got the chicken pho and my friend got the veggie pho bc she's vegan but she loved it! A very reliable, homey, and cost-efficient meal

I actually became aware of the existence of this restaurant *because* they had a happy hour sign out in front, advertising, among other things, $4 salmon poke "tacos" (which was definitely actually a tostada, but still), and $3 nigori sake to go with it, which sounded pretty bomb - when I passed by the sign on my way to an event at Death & Co nearby, I took note of it but wasn't interested in food. However, when I left that event, an event I thought was going to provide a lot more food than it actually did, I absolutely *was* interested in food, and remembered that the sign advertised not only a traditional happy hour (open until 6 weekdays, 2:30-5:30 Saturday/Sunday), but also the same prices during a reverse happy hour (8 to close weekdays, 9 to close on the weekend). Given it was, at that moment, just after 8 on a Wednesday, I knew exactly where I was going to get the second half of my dinner from. Funny enough, I will say, the salmon poke that drew me in, was just... good. Don't get me wrong, if I were offered them for free, I'd eat at *least* a dozen. They were quite tasty - also like 2 bites worth of food (so eating a dozen of them would not be remotely difficult to do.) Salmon poke is wonderful, but if I wanted poke, I'd go find a poke place - even $4 felt a bit pricey for the size (they're $6 when it isn't happy hour), so I'm glad I decided to also try their karaage. Their karaage is BOMB - some of the best I've had, honestly. $7 for a 4-piece order of their karaage, by contrast, feels like a very reasonable price, and $5 (during happy hour) an absolute steal. Great karaage, great sauce, super fulfilling. The happy hour on karaage would be enough of a draw by itself - but separate from that, so would the $3 happy hour on sake, including both a regular house cold sake and a nigori. As you can see from the picture, they also intentionally overpour their sake, which is not only a very pretty presentation, but also an impressive amount of sake for $3 (heck, for DTLA, a pretty impressive amount of sake even at their normal $5 price). They also have $6 happy hour shochu/sake/juice cocktails that looked pretty good, though I didn't try one. Service was great, too - sometimes you can tell a restaurant is less excited to serve someone who clearly just came in for a drink and a snack, but that was not my experience here. Verdict is, I definitely want to come back and try their ramen sometime, but I would definitely make sure to do it either before or after their prime dinner hour, to take advantage of happy hour pricing. (And I would definitely get more of that karaage as a side. I will probably also make a point to do so as a snack, subsequent to any future events I go to in the area that end around 8 on a weekday, as well, for as long as that happy hour remains such a draw, price-wise.)
