New Pho spot my husband and I tried last night and let me tell you it was worth the wait. They have five tables out door sitting. Customer service was lacking due to them being super busy with pick up orders and dine in. Husband ordered #1 and I ordered #6 and charbroiled beef banh mi. The pho had a nice beefy broth and the noodle had a nice bite. I also order an iced milk tea and it was so yummy, perfectly sweetened. For years now this pho restaurant has been the place my boyfriend and I go for pho. We love it. When we discovered that the renovated we freaked out. I was so impressed. Good for them! The place is really nice and always packed. I've read a few reviews since the renovations and a lot of people have been bashing the food. I think it tastes just as good as before. The best part about Pho Legend is how late it's open. Yes, it's very sleek and modern looking but the quality of food falls a bit flat. With so many pho places in ktown, Pho Legend stands out for looking a whole lot cleaner, trendier, and sleeker than most pho restaurants. With that being said, the pho was only okay. The portions are decent but the broth was more bland than expected and the noodles weren't particularly well cooked. It kinda felt rubbery. Been here a number of times, but under new management, my first time. The waiter assured us even though they were under new management, the cooks were exactly the same. Their menu was the same, serving a variety of pho soup dishes and a number of rice dishes. I'm not much of a pork eater, but their bbq pork rice dish was good. Their meat Eggrolls are fresh and tasty. My friend ordered their pho soup, and she didn't think their broth was prepped the way pho soup should be being that the broth was way too clear. What did I know, I just came to eat. The new layout of the restaurant is real nice and ventilation seemed better than before. First time trying Pho Legend the staff informed me about the recent renovations which the restaurant is more spacious and has more of a more modern/millennium twist. The staff were friendly and very helpful with suggestions. I order the vegetarian soup bowl with tofu. I'm very new to Pho but the experience and process was amazing the taste of the basil, lime and broth was delicious. P.S the hot tea is free and delicious. Parking can be challenging with all the other local vendors on the same lot but it's worth a try. I was also told Pho Legend is one of the better establishments in town. Enjoy! read more

It's not a bad bowl, although as some mentioned, prices are higher and the portions are smaller than most pho places in greater LA. My combination bowl cost me $12 after adding meatballs (which are normally included). Yes, it looks very modern and nice since the remodel but I'm not sure it was necessary. Pho restaurants are usually divey and people generally don't give a shit as long as it satisfies their cravings or cures their hangovers. I'd personally rather go to a dive with better and cheaper bowls. The management/ownership is not at all friendly, but I was given a full pitcher of water and napkin dispensers were on the table, so very little interaction was necessary anyway. As far as Silverlake pho goes, I'd give this place the edge over Pho Cafe, but If you're willing to drive a little farther, check out Pho Hoa in Chinatown. read more

My family and I love this pho place -- we used to think this place has the best pho in LA. However, we noticed that their taste is not consistent. We come here at least once per week since their broth is flavorful and gives decent portion. But, the two times we came here (not consecutively), all our noodles were extremely overcooked to the point where the noodles were cut shortly and our food took forever to came out. I understand that the food can take a while to come out when its busy, but it was disappointing when the food was not up to par (it was very underwhelming). We let the owner know the first time when we noticed their noodles were overcooked (since it was good before). It was pretty bad when my family and I recently went to get pho. The broth was so bland, it felt like they poured hot water into their regular broth because there were a lot of orders. I got the spicy chicken wings, the house combo pho, the rare steak/brisket pho, peach iced tea, and taro milkshake. Wings were tender and tasty. Seasoning was not evenly distributed but there was plenty of garlic and onions! Would order again. Pho broth was great. Obviously made with some semblance to traditional broth and integrity. Noodles were neither bland nor overcooked, great! Iced tea tasted like Snapple... very sweet but gf liked it so good job on that. Taro milkshake was average. New and renovated! The ownership seemed to have changed and I believe it is a Korean owner now but their pho is just as good as before. I went on a weekday during lunch hours to check out the new "Pho Legend" and boy it was packed. At first, I was sort of not feeling it with their customer service because there were only two ladies working during the busiest time of the hour so it took a REAL long time to even just get the menu and water. The workers were working hard and running around so I did feel a little bad. I ordered the pho dac biet with spring rolls and the chow fun fried rice. The pho broth was very authentic to my liking and the noodles weren't too overcooked. Their rare steak was good quality and soft which I loved. The portion looked little at first, but dang it got me super full! The spring roll was delicious, but I realized it did not have the pork inside it when it said that there was pork and shrimp. It was still yummy nevertheless so it was all good~ The fried rice was okay too and was a good amount of portion to share with a friend or two.
