    Roll yourself plate
    Thuy D.

Needed some pho recently and stopped into the wife's favorite spot in Folsom. I got the combination pho and she got the roll yourself plate. She loved her meal and had extra to bring home for another meal. I would say the pho was pretty good; the broth was flavorful and not too salty. The service was good but they could use more help. The ambiance was typical for a pho restaurant. This place was clean and plenty of seating. I'd recommend it as this is worth a try!

This restaurant has changed name and ownership over the years but the current owner has really improved the interior. The restaurant is furnished and aesthetically pleasing. It's modern, clean and welcoming. There's even a counter with seating which is an alternative if you don't need a table. The menu is diverse serving many favorites and also includes many items that are traditional favorites. The vermicelli bowls we tried were perfect. The grilled pork was tasty, sliced for easy eating served with fresh herbs ( mint and cilantro) and lettuce and pickled carrots and daikon. Crushed peanuts topped the bowl and a side of sauce you top your bowl as you like. The vermicelli was perfectly prepared. Vermicelli is cooked, but this was prepared with care. You can see and taste the difference. The cook takes the time to prepare quality food with presentation and great recipes. Our Bun Xeo was outstanding. It is a coconut milk based batter pan fried crispy crepe filled with chicken and shrimp and maybe pork. It contains bean sprouts and served with a huge side of fresh lettuce and additional cilantro and mint. Wrap a piece of crepe in a lettuce leaf, add herbs and dip in the sweet and salty side sauce and you'll experience so many textures, flavors and above all freshness, you'll be back for more. Vietnamese food used to be a bargain but it was escalated. Having experienced the quality of ingredients, presentation and taste; Pho n Roll is definitely on our rotation list! Great to have this restaurant in the neighborhood!!!

I was super excited to try out this new Vietnamese restaurant. Especially since Folsom doesn't have a lot of ethnic Asian diversity in its food scene. But my first experience was not great. The customer service was disjointed and unresponsive. Giving off unwelcoming vibes. I ordered and paid at the register. I sat at the counter about six feet directly to the right from the register. I waited. As I waited, I saw folks come in to pick up their food at the register. They were handed their orders. I noticed the server (that rang up my order) put a bag next to the register. After a while, I asked the other server if my order was still being worked on. He asked if that bag was it. I asked if it's practice that I ( the customer) should touch the bags and check the tags and just walk off with it. He said he usually hands the customers their order, but not sure why the other server that took my order just left it by the register instead of handing it to me or telling me. If you do take out, be aware that your bag of food most likely was handled by various customers or worse yet can be intentionally or unintentionally taken, since the customers are to search for their orders that are left by the register. Plus for dine in customers, they will be charged an automatic gratuity of 18% for a party of 4 or more. The menu states five or more. Since I was sitting near the register just waiting for my order, I heard a customer point out the menu statement (about "five people" ) to the cashier as he was paying. The cashier (which was a different person from the two I dealt with) stated " we haven't updated our menu yet, but that's the new policy". The customer told her that he is a regular and comes often. He said had no problem with paying the gratuity but questioned why wasn't he told. Does that scenario sound familiar? I left with my order. But totally not digging the vibes of this place. They need to communicate with the customers. Especially about policies. Such as their policy of not directly handing to go orders to customers but instead placing them in a pile next to the register. Plus if prices or tip gratuity info changed from the printed menu, they need to tell the customers. Better yet don't enforce until new menus are edited.

One of the best pho in Folsom! Dined here on a late Saturday night and there was still a good crowd here. It's located the Ranch99 strip mall on the very far right around the corner with plenty of parking spaces. Friendly and attentive service with an open setting. There are a few booths on the right when you walk in or regular tables. The tables are spread apart enough where it doesn't feel cramped. If you're curious about the different sizes available for pho, they have bowls at the front counter. The pho comes in XS, S, L, and XL! My buddy and I both ordered the extra large #1 which included rare steak, tendon, tripe, brisket, and flank. There was a generous amount of steak. We also ordered the salt and pepper calamari. It was crispy and not overly oily. This appetizer was great! I'd definitely order it again! I can't wait to come back and try their bun - grilled pork with egg rolls.

Great selection of rice plates at this restaurant.

Quick service. Food is awesome. The marinated meat is so delicious. Portions are very good as well.

We finally tried this restaurant after we finished shopping at 99 Ranch around 7:30pm on Saturday night. The restaurant was empty but more people coming in for dinner. - kids pho with chicken: the vermicelli portion was generous for kid size. There were lots of chicken pieces that were tender. However, the broth was a bit too salty. - pad thai with chicken: it was ok. It missed a bold fish sauce & tamarind taste. The noodles were perfectly cooked and they gave lots of chicken pieces and egg too. - charboiled pork, shrimp & egg roll over vermicelli: the veggie tasted fresh. The charboiled shrimps were flavorful and delicious. The egg rolls were delicious! Crispy and flavorful. The pork was delicious and was more on the sweet side. The only downside was the pork was sliced very thin and only few slices in a bowl.

Came in for some Pho to go. Steve greeted me and was so kind. I immediately felt at home, knew I was going to get some seriously delicious Pho. Working remote is not easy, so sometimes I have to do take-out. This will be my go to place for a delicious bowl of Pho during winter days. Incidentally, I would eat it during summer too! Everything was fresh, prepared with love, and packaged up for me so I didn't need anything else for a healthy lunch. Highly recommend Steve and his team here, you will not be disappointed! And I HAVE to say, the slogan on the receipt gave me a much needed laugh... "Best in PHO-lsom". That is some seriously clever marketing!

This review is for their beef pho as described by my son. My 8yo son considers himself a beef pho connoisseur. He's been eating beef pho since he was 1. Beef pho is his favorite food. I told him that he has to try this new pho place. He was pretty stoked to think that there's a place that can top his favorite beef pho-20 mins away from Folsom. He ordered an extra large and the broth was flavorful and hot. The beef slices were adequate. The garnish plate was missing cilantro! Verdict: My son still prefers the beef pho place 20 mins away.

This was my 2nd time at this place and I'm not sure if they had updated their menu from last year or not or that I didn't pay attiention to it till now BUT there were a lot of dishes. After carefully looking through it until the very end page, this was the modern version of "Pho Hoa Viet" in bradshaw which I had tried many years ago. Whenever I see a Pho restaurant with so many dishes, I would try to stay away from ordering any other broths soup and go for dishes that serverd with "Nuoc Mam", aka vinagrette instead. Reason is with so many items, the soup is a based and they would just add some powder or something to add in the supposed flavor. Well - I didn't try Pho at this place yet and I had craving for soup so ordred "Pho Tai". The Pho is exactly what I expected at many Pho places before, generic soup base without any specialty broth. I knew I should have gone with my instict on other dishes but least I learn my lesson again. I'm sure many other dishes that serve with vinegrette because it's savior flavor so if I come by again, I'll take those options. Service was good and restaurants was cleaned. If you want specialty Pho in Folsom, there's only one place that I had reviews and recommended which was Saigon Alley.

We drove all the way from Natomas to Folsom to try out Pho N' Roll, a restaurant located in the 99 Ranch Plaza. We had heard their Pho was amazing, and boy, was it! Steven, a friendly server (owner), greeted us, and the service was incredibly fast. The Pho was simply delicious, especially the broth. They offer a variety of condiments to enhance your experience. One item they have, but not on the table is pickle jalapeños--just ask for them! One thing that caught my attention was the size of the tendons in the Pho. They were huge, including the meat and noodle portions, they're not stingy! If you're not a fan of a lot of noodles, be sure to ask for less. I did just that, and the ratio of noodles to broth was perfect for me. I will give this a place a 10/10. We will be back for more!

    Grilled pork banh mi

We got Vietnamese coffee, the shrimp and pork spring rolls, grilled pork banh mi, and the grilled beef pho. Everything we had was a 10/10. The pho was one of the better ones I have had in a while. The flavors of everything were rich and comforting. I will be returning VERY soon... this is my new go to spot! The staff were doing a great job for how busy it was, and were very nice.

I was here yesterday with my family for Mother's Day dinner and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. We checked out the menu beforehand and were very impressed with their options including the many vegetarian options available! My kids ordered the Kids' Pho Dish (with chicken) and they enjoyed it. There was plenty for one order in order for them to share. My husband ordered the Lemongrass Tofu and he was said it was perfection. We've had our share of lemongrass tofu dishes from various Vietnamese restaurant spots throughout the region and he mentioned that the spice level was just right and the tofu was cooked perfectly. I ordered the V61; one of my favorite dishes to order at Vietnamese establishments. My entrée includes charbroiled chicken, steamed egg pork patty, crisp bean curd, cooked egg sunny side up and big helping of rice! There was even a small salad included. WOW - what a dish! It was so delicious, fresh and filled w/ flavor. The restaurant was clean, spacious, lots of seating options! The customer service was wonderful and they were very attentive! The food came out fast and I can't wait to come back here again. I think I've found my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Folsom (sorry Pho ABC)!

I saw that this place had recently rebranded and had great reviews, so we stopped in for some pho. The interior is nice and open with both booths and tables. Waiter seated us fast and was very attentive. We started with the pork and shrimp spring rolls and they were super fresh with soft rice noodles and crisp lettuce. Excellent peanut sauce. Definitely try these. I ordered the beef stew with rice noodles (a favorite) and my son and husband got the combo beef pho. The stew comes with tender stewed chunks of beef slow simmered with carrots and a citrus/gingery rich broth and some bok choy. Really good but next time I'll order the small. It was a huge serving. The combo beef pho is a classic with the various cuts of meat, meatballs, tripe and melt in your mouth tendon in a clear broth. Great with chili oil, mung bean sprouts and tons of fresh Thai basil. Everything was spectacular and I've been really missing good Vietnamese since moving from a bigger city. I'll definitely be back!

This takes me to their Folsom location which opened its doors back in late-2021. Situated in a decent sized outdoor strip mall with a mix of boutiques and retail business, this Huong Lan is located directly off of East Bidwell St and adjacent to Wales Dr. Parking is fairly easy to find on any given day and they have very reasonable hours of operation being open weekdays from 10am-9pm and weekends from 10am-8pm. Since I live in the suburbs, this location is actually easier for me and is very convenient for those that live in Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Orangevale, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, and other neighboring communities. One really unique thing about this location is that they have a drive-thru for those that don't wish to exit their vehicles. However, if you're not in a rush, I do recommend dining inside as the interior dining area is quite open, inviting, and spacious. And one really positive thing about this location is that they are not nearly as busy as their other locations. More often than not, I am waiting in line (sometimes up to 30 minutes) just to place an order at the South Sacramento location. I also noticed how much of a variety this location offers including 15 different Bánh Mì variations, Phở, noodle soups, Vermicelli bows, rice plates, and a nice assortment of appetizers. They also carry several types of pearl teas, milk teas, and boba drinks. At this location, I literally entered the restaurant, walked up to the front counter, and placed my order. I ended up coming here during the afternoon on Saturday 5/30/2026 at around 2:00pm. My Bánh Mì sandwich of choice was their B7 "Grilled Pork" aka "Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng" and was priced at $9.25 (after tax). After making my payment, I sat down and within 5 minutes, my sandwich was brought out to me. I am going to be honest with everything, the bread was soft while the veggies (cilantro, cucumber, pickled carrots, and daikon) were all laid out very proportionally. But what this Bánh Mì was seriously lacking was the grilled pork! I love a good Bánh Mì sandwich but just ONE strip of pork? C'mon guys, I've been to your other locations and they have been very generous with the proteins. However, everything tasted great and I will still give this place an above average rating based on the service, location, ambiance, quality/freshness of food, and overall experience. I also wanted to add that the inside was very clean and sanitary while the public restroom was spotless. When you factor in a very spacious interior with a convenient drive-thru at the exterior and a pleasant dining experience in a quiet part of town, I am giving the Folsom "Huong Lan" location a respectable and above average four stars.

TL;DR: Do NOT order anything extra. They'll charge you for it without telling you and only slip it onto the check after the fact. And the owners are possibly racist, homophobic, or both - based on what her husband screamed at me on my way out for no reason at all: "We don't need people like you here." I walked in on a Saturday night, two hours before closing. Not busy, no line. I got seated right away - well, the waitress (who I later found out was the owner) pointed at a booth. The booth was dirty. Crumbs, spilled fish sauce, half-eaten strands of vermicelli all over the table. I asked the owner if she could wipe it down. She said "Oh wow, sorry," then delivered drinks to a few other tables and left me at the dirty table for another five minutes before coming back to clean it. There were plenty of empty, clean booths - it was NOT busy. Any one of them would've been fine. The menus were dirty and sticky too. I let it go, figured I'd just wash my hands after ordering. We ordered the crispy pork sausage spring rolls, one order of pork egg rolls ($12, per the menu), two Thai teas, and two lemongrass vermicelli. Then I went to the restroom - toilet paper all over the floor, sink area filthy. The waiter brought out two orders of egg rolls - he'd misheard me and didn't even know the price - but he owned it and took the extra back. No harm there. The food was a letdown. The lemongrass vermicelli was a mountain of noodles, an OK amount of bland chicken, and barely any vegetables. No texture, no flavor, no spice. This was not Vietnamese cooking - it was lazy. I wouldn't order it again. So I tried to salvage it and asked for some extra veggies to fix the texture. Here's the problem. The dish already comes with salad mix - it says so on their own menu. Nobody told me extra veggies would cost anything. We got the bill, it wasn't on there, and then the waitress came back, said "I'm just going to update the check real quick," and added a $2.50 "extra veggies" charge after the fact. Now look at their menu (photo attached). They have a whole "Additional Add-ons" section, and the ONLY veggie add-on listed is garnish/beansprouts at $0.50 to $1 - not $2.50. So they charged me up to five times the only veggie price they actually print, for something they never disclosed. And on the receipt it's typed in lowercase as "extra veggie" while every real menu item is capitalized - you can tell it was punched in by hand. I asked the waiter to take it off since nobody told me it'd be a charge. He refused. I asked to talk up front so I wouldn't bother other tables, and asked for a manager - out came the owner, the same woman who'd sat me at the filthy booth. I asked her to remove the $2.50. She refused, said people ask for extras all day so they have to charge, and that she considered this a "side salad" - even though there's no side salad at that price on the menu. I said, "That's fine, but you have to disclose it first." She told me it was on the menu. It is not (see the photo). I told her no restaurant in Little Saigon charges for a few extra veggies without telling you up front. She refused again. I paid, told her I'd leave a bad review and no tip and wouldn't be back - all over $2.50 she could've just removed. She asked what the review would even be about. I listed it: the dirty table, dirty menus, dirty bathroom, the undisclosed charge, and her refusal to reason with a customer making a fair point. She went quiet. As I walked back to grab my things, she kept talking, but the music was so loud I genuinely couldn't hear her, so I said "Sorry, I can't hear you over the music." That's when her husband SCREAMED across the entire restaurant: "GET OUT RIGHT NOW!" I said, "I'm already leaving, and I won't be back." And he screamed, "WE DON'T NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU HERE!" People like me? I was respectful and calm the whole time. I never cursed, never raised my voice, I just pointed out facts. So what did he mean? Because I pushed back on an undisclosed charge? Because my partner and I are LGBTQ+ and sat next to each other? Because I'm Black? I have no idea why he said it, but if you're Black or LGBTQ, I'd think twice... Either way, screaming that across a full dining room, at a customer who simply said he wouldn't return, is unhinged. No competent owner does that. Here's the kicker: Pho Momma's 2025 Michelin recognition is a Bib Gourmand - which is specifically the award for good value. A restaurant honored for value nickel-and-dimed me $2.50 for veggies they never disclosed, then had its owner scream me out the door. Is that what Michelin recognition looks like? Absolutely not. If you're Black or LGBTQ, I'd genuinely reconsider eating here and save yourself the possible discrimination. Go to Pho Xe Lua, Pho Saigon, or honestly any other pho spot in town.
