The hubby and I went to a lunch date one Sunday (3/19/23) and we decided to stop by here. It's behind bad buds gas station on Herndon and cedar. It's a decent size for seating but definitely hole in the wall vibes. It did seem clean enough. The lady working the front definitely wasn't the friendliest but not totally off putting. For was 3.5 ... the hubby got the grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli ( large $14.20) , which he enjoyed but was disappointed in the veggies served in the dish. I got the grilled pork vermicelli ( large $13.75) . The pork was a bit thicker than other place but it was still good , just like the hubby I was disappointed in the freshness of the veggies but I will say the fish sauce was really good! We also tried the the spring rolls 2 pieces for $9... the peanut sauce felt a little watered down and the pork that was in the roll with the shrimp was really dry and the wrapping felt a pit tuff .. it was ok but I'd probably pass. I would come again , price is ok and food isn't bad.. might not be a regular, but I guess we will see read more

chill, quiet place with kind staff! we were greeted, sat ourselves and were given menus and water immediately. we ordered and our drinks + food came out within 3-5 minutes! (2 sprites & 2 medium pho) the broth is very sweet & the chili oil + basil cuts the sweetness so nicely! definitely one of my new favorites. read more

Two small chicken Phos and shrimp spring rolls ordered with extra peanut sauce. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I went in to get it. The worker was really unkind and that was a total bummer. The food was ready though. I paid for it. An extra peanut sauce was ordered and that wasn't included. I went back to get it and the worker rolled her eyes at me and went back and got it. I was pretty shocked with how rude she was. Especially after looking forward to going in with reading about the reviews. Not right. Hoping the food is good! Bummer! The restaurant is nice. Large and open with a nice mural. Clean, safe and practiced. A Christmas tree when you walk in too! Lunchtime! I got everything ready per usual. The chicken pho was really good! Good amount of chicken. Fresh and tasty ingredients to add including sriracha sauce! Love the jalapeños & peppers to spice it up too! The shrimp spring roll was fresh and delicious with really good peanut sauce! Had to make a quick trip to Fresno, so it's time to play: Let's Yelp! Some Food!! It is a rainy, cold day, the kind of day that makes you want to curl up next to the fire, with a heavy blanket, a good book and a nice big bowl of soup. So, soup it is! Grabbed my trust Yelp app and plugged in my parameters and violá! If you've had pho before, you know there are some checkpoints you roll through as your food arrives: Is it what I ordered? Check! Does it look and smell good? Check and check! Are the veggies fresh? Check! Now it's on to the taste of the broth and this is the make it break point. I've been to some of the nicest pho restaurants only to be disappointed by a flavorless broth. Here? The broth was DELICIOUS! Then run through all the other checkpoints of quality of portion, food flavors, noodles and condiments. A lot goes into a bowl of pho you know? Everything here was good. I had the egg rolls with fish sauce as an appetizer and those were good as well. Very spoiled growing up in The Bay and also in SoCal when it comes to foodie foods. I've found some really good stuff in the Fresno area too, like Korean food in a little grocery store. This little gem is also good, so check them out. They do take credit cards and cash. I'm very excited to have Paradise so close to home. They have some of the best pho and prices. We dropped by for lunch and coming here doesn't give you the OG vibes with the hand painted walls, but good was great as always. A problem I had here that I've never had at the original was the service. They never come to check on you after the order is put in. I never got water and all the tables nearby were full of left over plates, bowls and trash. Missing chili oil/condiments and having to steal them from other tables was common between the people dining near us. Plus, it's dead silent in there and pretty awkward lol. We will definitely be back, hopefully the problems are cleared up by then! read more

This place gave me a terrible ulcer and pain all throughout Thanksgiving. Avoid this place.

Super random time in our weekend when we didn't have our little and were pressed on time for a late lunch and decided to come here. I love me some pho and vermicelli bowls and this place did them both great. They were not busy at all, got our orders in and then a rush came, you could tell they were regulars and loved to go their to eat. We received our orders, all cooked well, lots of flavor, good portions, we enjoyed our meal and were glad that we found this place. It's a great option instead of going all the way across town like we usually do to our usual pho spot. read more

I drove across town and didn't double check my food but this was how my eggrolls turned out and cost me $12-14. I took one bite and had to toss it. The eggrolls are suppose to be nicely wrapped and golden brown. Such a disappointment and I am very dissatisfied with the food quality. Clean,nice place. New owner. I always like they seafood soup with big flat noodles. This time I order the yellow noodles and hubby order the dry yellow noodles. Soup taste tastier than the previous owner and the yellow dry noodles is the killer. Absolutely delicious pho and egg rolls. Might have been the best egg rolls I've had perfectly flakey, crispy, and piping hot. Just realized how early they are open so it would be great to start off your day with some delicious soup. The oxtail pho looked delicious plenty of meat and I ordered bun bo hue. They don't skimp on their meat and I love how easy it is to eat since they slice it in perfectly sliced portions. Noodles were thicker and chewier than pho noodles delicious. Soup is refreshing and has quite a bit of kick but is a pleasant spice. Don't be intimidated by their bun bo hue here especially if you're not a big fan of pork blood. I have been going around Vietnamese restaurants to find the pork chops i will actually enjoy and this restaurant is the closest to what I actually want the pork chops to taste like. Went on Christmas Day. Most tables were full. First time we have gone to a restaurant for Vietnamese food but after spending a week in Hanoi I did feel I could leave some feedback. We wanted Bun Cha which we have been told can't be found in Fresno. We ordered the Bun Thit Nuong and Bun Tom Thit Nuong. Both were very good. Would definitely order again. Small was plenty. Me and my boyfriend went to the second location here on cedar Ave. The first time was good but the second and third time was so bad. The second time I asked for shrimp paste. They gave me over due shrimp paste from 3 years ago, good thing I check before I even eat it . The third time my boyfriend found 2 pieces of hair in his food, not just one but two...., my boyfriend was too nice so he let it go and just eat it anyways but I was disgusted.... The original place on McKinley and First has always been my favorite pho place. I was excited when I heard of this location as it is easily on my way home from work. I ordered the number 00 pho combination, combo chow fun and a combo fried rice and all three dish did not disappoint at all. However, it was a little stuffy inside the restaurant. Rude and unfriendly, hair in food without any apology and did I mention filthy, tables left with dishes, chairs un-wiped, I could go on. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. Pho was really fresh and very enjoyable. However they had a flickering light which was absolutely insufferable to be around.
