This place is Phocking bland! I cannot in good conscience recommend this bland place. Visited during a non-busy weekday lunch and to scratch that Pho itch! The Pho was just ok nothing unique or special about the taste. For the price I would say it's NOT worth it. The servers stand around and talk to each other but do not refill waters or soda. We come here the same day every week, and we have seen the service just continue to go downhill. Their staff used to be amazing and the food would be brought to every table without any issues, even during their busy times. This was a legit 5 star place, but now their service is terrible. The wait to place your order has gotten longer and if you order anything besides pho, good luck getting it in time to eat with the rest of your party. I don't know what happened to this place or if they just hired different people in the kitchen, but it's getting a little ridiculous. I wish it would go back to how it used to be, because I really enjoyed coming here. I enjoyed the staff and I enjoy the food. The front desk guys completely ignored customers, I understand it's social distances and all, but I've been polite and Patient, after he came back, didn't even look at me and yelled at: what you want? Just put my order in for me, I've been wasting my 15mins here waiting for you already!!! So I just left. This place is a must stop when i'm craving for pho noodle soup. I came last night during dinner time. The service was quick and on point even though it was packed. I ordered #1 (egg rolls) and #18 (combination pho), the food came out within a couple minutes. 7 months ago, I left a 5 star review for this place. Me and my husband and family regularly eat here twice a week since the last 7 months. However in the last 4 times we came to eat here, I get a stomach ache at the bottom of my stomach immediately after and it last for up to 24 hours. This has been happening the last 4 times I've been there like I said. I am so sad and disappointed coz this was my favorite pho place. But now I have to say goodbye Pho Saigon 8. I can't keep coming back to a restaurant just to get stomach aches. My old review 7 months ago: highly recommend this place. Everything came out excellent. We ordered fresh spring rolls, pho with round eye and tendon and lastly pho with flank steak. I love how neat and clear their menu is and how they put a lot of pictures on their menu as well. One star for service alone. I walked in with my wife and sleeping baby in a car seat and asked to be seated in a booth so I can place the car seat next to me and not wake the baby.. The server told me there was no booths available when I could clearly see a booth available. He refused to seat us and made us wait while he did everything else possible BUT seat us. We came here 2 weeks after they opened. Hoping this would be our pho spot on this side of town. I was debating on their egg rolls for our appetizer, but didn't end up ordering it. Since they're still launching their grand opening month, they offered us complimentary egg rolls. I wasn't impress with them. It wasn't so crispy and tasty. It was more soft and overcooked. We all ordered pho. The pho broth here was more on the bland side or I would call it Americanize. We definitely not craving it or anything. I prefer their location off Lindell and Spring Mountain better, even though the service isn't as good as this one. My boyfriend introduced me to Pho Saigon 8 when we first started dating. I was skeptical because I was a die hard Pho So 1 fan. Obviously when you're loyal to a certain restaurant it's hard when you stray...what if you cheat on your go-to and it isn't as good? Well, Saigon 8 certainly surprised me. I only order three things at Vietnamese restaurants: Pho Tai, Com Bo Luc Lac, and egg rolls. Saigon 8 absolutely knocks it out of the park with all three of these dishes. I do slightly prefer Pho So 1's tomato rice with their bo luc lac, but the onions are more prominent in Saigon 8's version. The fresh coconut juice here is always fresh and delicious too! I never order anything else on the menu so I can't speak for any other dishes, but the food is always consistently great here and the waiters are friendly as well. When this location opened closer to my house I wanted to cry tears of joy. My lazy self never wants to drive more than 5-10 minutes for food...now, I don't have to ever again (for pho at least). I've always come here with my family of 8 people and had great and fast service. Today I was so disappointed with the service. The server sit us and left. He then sit another table with 3 ppl after us. He took their orders and brought out drinks for them. I looked at him and he said since we had a big group so he going to come to us after. Wth does that have to do with first come first served! Then he just walked back and forth like he had nothing to do. I got so irritated and got up and left! Tonight I brought my family back because we do love this place. Peter, the manager was very nice and professional. He recognized me and came to apologized for the incident. I'd have to say Pho Saigon's broth is the best flavored pho in the southwest. We'll definitely be returning here during the days we don't feel like cooking or when we just need that bowl of quick pho fix. My husband ordered a large pho tai nam, and I ordered the small #20. The bowls had tons of meat. I feel like I usually don't have enough meat to noodle ratio at other places. We also ordered the Chinese sausage fried rice for the kids. That was really delicious, all of my kids approve!! One star off because a few of the utensils they gave us were dirty. They had residual smear marks on the soup spoons and regular silver spoon. Also, when we asked for a box to take our left over fried rice, the guy was looking another direction while handing the box to my husband. It was kind of funny, but since he wasn't paying attention, he almost hit my husband in the face with the box hahaha. My husband was so annoyed but I thought it was funny. This place is on Rainbow just south of 215. If that brings up visions of terrible traffic, you're not alone. If you're coming from the 215 exit, you can sit there several minutes waiting to make the left into the parking lot. The defining feature of this place, really, is that it's open till 11pm some nights, midnight other nights. So, if it's after about 9:30, this is a great option for some really decent pho. And you don't have to worry about traffic at that hour. Most of what they make here, while very good, isn't quite as good as some of the other nearby places--but not enough to matter when you're craving some lovely pho. One standout is the chicken pho, which is excellent, and they even let you choose white or dark meat (dark, of course). If you're one of those weird people for whom the normal bowl of pho is too much, they offer a small size. Service can be spotty. Order by number, as some of the servers don't speak English very well. Don't bother waiting for your check when you're done, just go up to the register and if it's crowded, take note of your table number. Great option for 11pm takeout. read more

When I entered, I was hit with a blast of warm air and the aroma of beef noodle soup. I had ordered the pho tai and was surprised with its delicious flavor. I usually get a large #21 and an order of fried egg rolls. Bill usually comes out to around $18. A little steep, but totally worth it. The egg rolls are always hot and crispy served with lettuce, cilantro, carrots, and radishes. I love making lettuce wraps with my egg roll or with some noodles and meat in my bowl of pho. I guess it is the korean in me that makes me do this. The #21 has pretty much all of the meats including tendon. Only thing missing are the beefballs and tripe. The broth tastes the same as their location on Spring Mountain. I feel like the bowl is a little smaller than most other places that serve a larage, but i always leave super full. So it could just be an optical illusion. Service is ok. I wouldn't say it is great, but it isn't bad either. This location is new so I figure they are still getting the kinks worked out. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving pho. You will leave full and happy. read more

I have been here three times thinking maybe the first time was a fluke but all 3 times I've been in, their customer service is bad. We had to grab the server's attention several times just to get a refill on our water. They don't check up on you after the food has been served if there's any problem. I really like the quality of the food here. For starters, the egg rolls are delicious here. I remember my first time they would give s free egg roll, I guess they don't do that anymore, nonetheless still delicious. I haven't tried the spring rolls at THIS location but I have at the other location so I know I won't be disappointed. The pho, the broth, the noodles are all just a perfect blend when you need to fill yourself with something delicious with that homemade feel. I usually get the meat on the side, so I can watch the steamy broth cook the thin slices of beef. I LOVE this soup! Seriously, I absolutely love the feeling of warm, spoonfuls of noodles, meat and broth. Another one to try, the beef stew. It is served with a warm baguette. That is definitely a nice filler upper! If you're not a soup or noodle guy, they also serve rice plates. The thit muons is by far one of the best Vietnamese plates in the city. The only downside is the wait can get hectic. I docked some stars because on the 3 occasions I have been, I've had a weird welcome (no greeting, no one to guide me to a table, so I sat myself only to be reseated?!) and a few inattentive servers. First time trying this place out. Our server rushed us, didn't say anything when he dropped off our food, or check up on us. It's the guy with the hair shaved on the sides of his head and drags his feet everywhere he walks. The only guy who was friendly was the only one not in uniform with a white tshirt, and he's the one who refilled our drinks and asked how we were doing. Spring rolls were okay, pho was good.
