I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. I used to eat at Red Lantern at Russel and Grand Canyon but was directed by google to Pho Saigon 8 when I learned Red Lantern closes at 9pm which doesn't work for my schedule. The atmosphere is what you'd expect for a restaurant like it is and the price point. Speaking of prices, they are very reasonable. I waddle out with a huge grin on my face, completely stuffed for $12-$15 including the tip (I do eat like a horse. The average eater would spend less) I now come here anywhere between 1 and 3 times a week. My paycheck is spent very well here. I know I probably disgust everyone else in the restaurant but I don't care because it's so good. The noodles are like crack. I could live on them. I always get a large #13 with extra rare meat on the side so I can cook it myself or the large #17 which has rare steak, flank and beef tendon if I'm in the mood for something fattier. The ratio of noodles to meat to veggies is perfect. Its like a science. I drink the broth with a straw afterwards. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who likes to get Pho-d up!!! One Friday night I made a call to pick up some food. when I arrive there was nobody around when I finally found somebody I guess he was a bust her I let him know I was there for a pick up he didn't even say hello to me didn't smile and when I told him I was there for a pick up he didn't even respond to me he just looked at me with the blank face and then walked away. I wasn't feeling good and I was already upset that I had to wait finally I found another man asked me how can I help you and I told him I have been waiting for my food I let your other employee know but I guess he didn't tell you anything. He apologized and guess what my food was on the table right there for like 10 minutes or longer so I told him I don't know why he wouldn't say anything or if he didn't understand my English maybe he should've asked somebody for help. He then said oh sorry and he said I wasn't wearing a jacket it's cold out and I told him yeah I was just planning to run in and out but I'm here waiting. So I paid for my food and went home when I got home my chicken and noodle plate was cold and I had to re-cook them at least my pho still somewhat hot. I ordered #16 Pho and an order of tofu spring rolls to go. Everything was packaged very nicely and tasted absolutely delicious. I ordered the large thinking I was somehow going to finish it on my own, but I was wrong the servings are huge and now I have delicious leftovers. I loved the crispy tofu inside the spring rolls with the peanut sauce. The broth from the pho was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back here. read more

I rarely submit negative reviews but had a bad experience at this restaurant. I work walking distance away and have always eaten here for lunch however today the waiter brought out an incorrect item which I was fine with. I asked for clean brisket with no fat and the person brought out brisket with a ton of fat. The lady replaced it and apologized which I was fine with. When I went to pay, the cashier took my $100 bill and used the counterfeit money marker which is totally fine but even after the marker showed it was a real $100 bill, he asked for a second opinion. The next person came and used the pen again and then asked for a third opinion. The lady held my bill under the light and clearly saw it was real but continued to inspect the bill. She also put the bill next to a counterfeit one to feel the paper and see if its real. At this point I was very annoyed and took out a $1000 of $100s to show that they are all real. I had to pull out my badge to show them I am a neighbor of the business and have always eaten there. The food is great but the experience was terrible. Great service and super fast. I ordered beef pho less than 3 minutes later I had my order it was hot and very delicious. I was amazed since it was a full house. I have been here few weeks and it's hit or miss. Today, I was there for lunch and I ordered same pho each time I go there. I can order small pho with extra noodles without extra charge which I learn it from one of the waitress who works there. Unfortunately she wasn't working there today. The waiter who took my order today saying he can't put extra noodles. You have to order on the side for extra $2.00. He didn't say it with smile either. We were 8 people went to this place and ordered our food, the place at the time was not too busy. After half an hour they brought out food but only 7 orders, we asked about our 8th order, and was told that is being make. One of 7 order was spring rolls, I've never seen nor taste any spring rolls in my life this terrible. It has no vegetables, all was just rice paper over rice noodle and couple pieces of shrimps and boilled pork. Another 15 minutes passed and we still have not got our food yet, we asked the waiter to cancel that order. The owner came out and stated that this dish is very difficult to make. We told him that if it's that difficult he must not put it on the menu. This made him mad and told us to leave or he will call the police. This really took us off guard, never have we expect this kind of attitude nor behavior from an owner of a business that suppose to treat customer in a manner of a human being. We never expect to get threaten like this. Please people stay away from this place, the food are not do good and the service is bad from the owner. Recently, I decided to come back to this place again with my wife after a while. I literally liked the way they made the food in here, it's just the servers were kinda rude. However, our waitress was really nice and sweet every time she walked by our table. She was a new girl in there, I think, since she didn't wear the uniform. The only reason that I give it 4 stars is because she was the only one who was caring and friendly in there. The older Asian lady looked so rude, and the other waiter didn't even care about us at all. He just took the order then left without saying anything. Overall, this is a great place to eat Pho, hopefully the customer services could be improved. I highly recommend that you come at the weekend since I noticed that the young new girl who gives great customer services only works at the weekend. read more

As a first timer here, the pho tai was absolutely delicious. Everything was pretty spot on from the customer service, to the presentation, to the meal. Hopefully this isn't just because of their grand opening. Definitely think this pho restaurant will be a hot spot as long as they continue doing exactly what they're doing. read more

7.1.17 @ 8pm was my 2nd visit. Place is new and I have been to their other 2 locations. Typical cheap Asian set up. The food is good but the service is horrible. The young male waiter is has no social skills. I get it, there is no service at most if not all Vietnamese restaurants. When the check came my wife went to pay at the front. The check was like 41 & change, she gave him 45$ worth and got her change back and the SOB says to her and I quote "No Tip" with attitude, so she responded it "its on the table". Lucky for him she didnt tell me this until we got home. In my 48 yrs of life, not once have I encountered such attitude from the wait staff. These Viet places dont provide service, just food and they expect 5 star tipping. You work on tip so work for it. My wife tipped 8usd but we shall never go to any Saigon 8 again. Yes they talk about you behind your back when you leave crappy tip, I know cuz I can understand them. Its the typical Viet attitude wanting things for free or more of it.
