I can't honestly compare the three without having them side by side, but I can definitely say that Pieology is delicious and very customizable with fresh ingredients. How it works? It's chipotle style pizza. Go down the line and pick your toppings. They'll cook the pizza while you go find a seat. Delivery to your table is quick! This is casual dining. What sets it apart from the other chains is the ability to choose the original thin crust pizza, or the high rise. The high rise doesn't hit deep dish territory, but standard pizza thickness. It's only a dollar more and is more filling than the original. The pros - it can support your toppings without making your pizza soggy. The cons? It's not foldable and may require a fork and knife for consumption. Either way you want it, both are great options. The toppings options are extensive as well. You can even customize your sauce. Beware - despite the customizable pizza allowing for you to take all the toppings you could want, I'd be a little selective because there is such a thing as too much. Simplicity can be beautiful! At $10 a pie, that's a gourmet pizza worth having. Sure, maybe you can get two pies from pizza hut for less, but it isn't exactly the same experience of flavors! PROTIP: don't be afraid to ask for more cheese. More cheese is never a bad option! The difference I can remember from MOD pizza is they don't offer customization after the pizza is out of the oven since they deliver direct to your table. It's been a longgg time since I've stopped at Pieology Pizzeria but it didn't disappoint! I was beyond excited when I found out that they now serve vegan-friendly options! I love that it's expanding and becoming more popular and convenient! When my mother and I walked in, it wasn't crowded, which is a plus (I'm an introvert, sorry not sorry) and so we ordered within minutes. Trent, the GM, greeted us and readied our pizzas. He informed us about his other locations (the other locations have tater tots! OMG!) and was extremely talkative throughout the whole time he was serving us; Trent was so helpful, funny, and awesome! He seriously delivered incredible customer service, as well as the cashier. I didn't get her name, but she had blonde hair and she was really sweet! Jamie and aaron are the two most hardest working people I have ever seen! They are short staffed here but wow. They are amazing I never seen two people work so hard and so fast! These two workers are busting their butt trying to fill the orders for a long line plus I'm sure they're trying to keep up with their online orders. BEWARE: Pizzas were not delivered and we were refused a refund; this company management is in the habit of cheating its customers (Yelp shows similar incidents). We are a long-time customer of Pieology, Redlands -- a relatively smaller pizza chain compared to Domino's, but one that we wanted to support throughout the pandemic. The pies here are no different than any other chain, and sometimes are even delivered cold -- which we forgave in the past, as these are difficult times. However, our recent experience on ordering takeout was the worst I have ever experienced. Pieology uses a third-party delivery company for their pizzas, yet their website gives no indication of this. We ordered from Pieology.olo.com and input all of our information correctly, but the pies were delivered to a completely wrong address. When we called Pieology asking for them to fix the issue, they refused to help us and instead asked us to call their third-party delivery company. However, we had ordered and paid completely through Pieology's website and had no way to contact the delivery company. Essentially, we paid and did not receive our pizzas. The manager refused to speak to us, and the customer service representative, Rachelle, gave us attitude over the phone, refusing to help us any further and refusing to even provide a phone number for the delivery company. We unfortunately have no way to contact the delivery company and are in the situation of having paid Pieology for pies that were not delivered to us, and that they refuse to re-make or refund. This is robbery. There are many other, better pizza chains around the Redlands area with better, faster delivery systems that supply piping-hot pies. We will no longer be ordering from Pieology. It saddens us to think that our efforts to support a local small business resulted in us losing money and essentially being stolen from by this chain. read more

Love this place. It's clean and the staff is friendly. The food is delicious. They have an "our creation" list which are "pieology' favorite pies". But you can always make your own. They have lots of choices including a white sauce and a garlic oil base! Both very delicious. They also have "after" sauces for the pizza after its baked. I always get ranch and BBQ sauce drizzled.
