SO GOOD! As a vegetarian they had 3 options for me, but even then I could order really anything without the meat in it and it would still be great. The hummus wrap was so tasty! I wish it came with a side though. Panera offers a side apple or chips and they could easily do that here too. The hummus and balsamic melts together in your mouth. It's called the Pita out but the menu's a tad on the unexpected side. Sriracha chicken pita? Thai chicken? Pesto chicken? What is this? Itsa medditafusion food! And it's open late ... Nice! Between the better half and I, we got the Thai chicken and Sriracha Chicken because as it turned out, even though we chose a Mediterranean restaurant, we didn't feel like eating Mediterranean after all. Thank the good lord for the melting pot that is America because I don't know where else you'll get Asian, Asian-ish (how else would you define Sriracha?) and mediterranean food in one spot. I'm happy to report both were yummy and the Asian-ish one was pleasantly spicy. A regular is about 10 and 3/32nd of an inch long and generously stuffed. It'll set you back 9 bucks or so with tax. My wife and daughter regularly eat here, but I am not as much of a fan of "healthy" fare as I should be. I love gyro meat so I had to drop in and check them out. I was greeted as I walked in by both an attentive employee as well as a counter that reminded me a bit of a Chipotle. Not in the cafeteria style of starting on one end and working your way to a register, but more of a showcase of the fresh ingredients being used to make your order. This is always a nice touch as I am not one to enjoy eating things I do not have a decent view of during preparation. Being a gyro fan, I opted for that. Portions were plenty, and the gyro was delicious. I would recommend the double meat portion if you are like me and opt for the meat over vegetables, it is worth the small extra cost. The menu here was expansive, much more than I expected there to be. This visit will certainly lead to more to try some of the many other choices. Our pitas were good, but my small falafel pita (8.49) came with only 2 small patties. I asked for more, saying I'd be happy to pay for them. So she added 2 more, and then rang them up as $4.34 ($2 each plus tax). This made my sandwich $2 more expensive than the large size ($10.49). She didn't think that was unreasonable. She wouldn't void my order and re-enter as a large. She wouldn't simply charge me $2 for the added patties. When I said I no longer had enough to pay $4.34, and would have to take back some of the tip ($1.50) I'd put into the jar in order to pay, she quickly backtracked, saying just take it, I won't charge you anything. I've always been a fan of Pita Pit. Have eaten it many times during my college years, although I was usually under the influence when grabbing my chicken Caesar or gyro pita after a long night out. This Pita Pit location was standard as far as Pita Pits go. They made it easy to order online for pickup, which is awesome during these pandemic stricken times. The food is good. However, the last 6 times my significant other and I have gone, there has been a sign in the door that says "Be back in 15 minutes." There's only one person ever working and you never know when the 15 minutes is up. We wanted to go today, and they had only opened 30 minutes prior and the sign was already up. The owner or manager needs to step up and hire more people so they can be open and people can get food. So glad I stumbled upon Pita Pit. I wasn't able to finish my gross entree from Cracker Barrel and needed something fresh. I got the small chicken bacon ranch pita (about $8) minus the bacon and grilled onions and it was just what the doctor ordered. Fresh, healthy food... couldn't have asked for anything more. Now I will be the first to admit that I eat here well after midnight so my review is a little biased as there are not many establishments that will serve a delicious meal after 1:30 am. If you live in Flagstaff you undoubtedly know that the Pita Pit is the bomb. The portions are fatty and it is just what the doctor ordered when you have had nothing but liquid for the last 3 hours. The service has always been super friendly and extremely patient when it comes to serving the late night crowd. Little know fact that may come in super handy when you are looking for some grub but not willing to get out of your pj's is the Pita Pit Delivers!! I always thank my brain when I remember this. It is actually quite speedy but unsure if they deliver to all areas so give it a check first. It's been a little while since I've had a chance to go to Pita Pit, but it was an old college favorite because of the fact that they have incredible hours (open late!) and they deliver! I was able to go in today right before the lunch rush, which was perfect timing since I was just about the only person in there. I know they can get fairly busy sometimes, but it makes sense. They have an awesome location in downtown Flagstaff near Heritage Square, and you can people watch at the bar top facing the window and the street. I like that they have a menu that can be good for anybody, not just Mediterranean options, but a little of everything that can be customized. I ordered my BLT Pita with a very friendly worker (I didn't catch his name, but wish I did to give him props!). He chatted with me as he put in and made my order. My order was completed in just about five minutes, and he had me out the door, which is great when you're working and only have an hour lunch break. My pet peeve is stale pita bread, but they did not disappoint. My pita was delicious, full of bacon, and the bread tasted fresh- it hit the spot! Thanks for the great lunch! read more

I am a local and I've been coming to this place for quite some time but have not been in for the last two to three years and boy has it gone downhill. The cutting boards were not clean before they served other people, the meat quality was not good, the service was poor, and they were out of pita bread, how do you run out of pita bread when you're named Pita Pit. Great location, stays open late, but I really don't like this place. The food isn't good and I'm anti-chain restaurant, especially in historic downtown Flagstaff. I really wish a different late night non-chain restaurant would open up here instead. If looking for late night eats I recommend Primo's on the south side. This place could be the ultimate case study for how not to run a business. I feel bad for the employees as I have only ever seen one scheduled at a time. That's right, take orders, handle money, make food, clean the grill. It's the most inefficient process and you can watch people walk out and take their business elsewhere. Hopefully the owners can make changes as the food is decent for the price. When we walked in the employee walked out of the back and seemed so bothered by us being there, I asked a question about the menu and she barely mumbled a word.
