Just looking for a good, local pizza spot that offers gluten-free options so we stopped in. The curry chicken alfredo looked interesting enough to order although we were skeptical. It was really tasty! And it didn't taste like we thought it would. Staff was friendly and cordial. It seemed very much like a family atmosphere there. We've already been back. I used to come here when it was known as Promise Pizza and the Bianca was my favorite pizza. They can't make the Bianca anymore because they don't carry provolone cheese as an ingredient. Super disappointed to not be able to order the Bianca. I thought every pizza joint had provolone as an option? read more

My pizza is always absolutely perfect. When I lived in Austin, I would get a pizza at least once a week from Promise. There is never disgusting globs of grease I have to mop off with multiple napkins, the ingredients are always fresh and cooked perfectly, and the employees are always nice and polite. This place is Amazing! However their was some confusion with Promise pizza signs posted at this location. I thought this location was part the same promise pizza chain in round rock, which has HORRIBLE pizza. So I stopped going. BUT I just couldn't shake how the two promise pizza(in mind) places tasted entirely different! Turns out, discovered today, THEY ARE entirely DIFFERENT!. This location is NOT connected to the promise pizza chain. This pizza place is called PIZZA DAY and THANK YOU LORDESS!!! Anyhoot, pizza DAY!, is the best and thier taste definitely stands out from the rest!! CanNOT to be compared to Domino's or Pizza Hut. The ingredients they use are a COMPLETELY FRESH!! You can't have vegan, gluteen free and India fusion items on a menu and then say they, taste like Domino's. That sh*t don't make COMMON SENSE. Anyhoot, again, this place is Awesome! I recently ordered 15 pizzas for a nighttime work event, and I couldn't recommend Promise Pizza more. I worked with the chef several days in advance to determine the quantity of pizza and was even able to customize certain aspects of my order. The service and gratitude I received for my order were amazing - I felt appreciated and taken care of, and when the pizzas arrived it was delicious. My team thoroughly enjoyed their meal and I completely enjoyed my experience. We ordered a mix of regular pizza, gluten free pizza and salads - everything came as ordered and serving ware, plates, peppers, cheese and ranch were all provided - the chef even threw in a complimentary nutella dessert pizza as a thank you. I would highly recommend Promise Pizza for dine in, or for catering. read more

They had a sign on the counter that said they would give 30% off your purchase if you brought in proof you gave a good yelp review - red flag number one! I had expected the same service and quality as the Round Rock location, didn't happen - the lip service was good, said all the right things and I left the store feeling good with my "pick up" pizza. I had ordered a gluten free all organic pizza. When I got home I discovered at least one of the toppings was not organic or gluten free. When I contacted the store to ask them to prove this item was organic / gluten free I got stalls and non answers. Deception is the tool of someone with something to hide, something you are not going to like. Truth does not fear being revealed, if the product was as advertised they would have immediately given me the info/proof I needed. Further the chicken is not chunked whole chicken, it is ground up with fillers and additives, like a chicken mcnugget. Yuke! If they deceived me with one thing, how many others deceptions are not discovered? I am sticking with the Round Rock location, have been eating there for 2 years and love it! read more

First of all, I absolutely LOVE the people who work at this location. They are super sweet and they actually remember their customers. I enjoy their gluten free crust and brownies. This place is great! It's like a smaller version of Zpizza with way better customer service and more attention to detail. They have VEGAN CALZONES!!!! This is such a simple thing- take a regular calzone and replace the cheese with Daiya.... but other pizza places that offer Daiya as an option don't do vegan calzones. So YAY for Promise Pizza! My gluten-intolerant vegan wife was able to have pizza on her birthday- this is one of the very few places where the gluten-free crust is also vegan. Like I said before, the customer service was great. The guys working there were nice and helpful just the way they should be. They use 100% organic tomato sauce and even organic flour in the crust. They offer whole wheat crusts too. Good to know: The hours on the website are different than the hours on the door. They actually close at 9pm Sunday-Thursday and 10pm Friday and Saturday. read more

This pizza is delicious. Reasonably priced, good, whole, organic. Clean ingredients. We sat in to eat and the owners were so sweet. They're obviously proud of what they do, as they should be. I wish there was a larger dining area and I imagine it gets pretty busy... But if it was bigger, it might not be so well priced! read more

If you have to have Pizza because you have food allergies, you need gluten-free, or whatever, Promise Pizza will probably serve you well. However, I don't care about any of that but I decided to give Promise a chance because I love trying new things. If you like "regular" pizza just do yourself a favor and steer clear of Promise. The pizza was pretty bland even with Italian sausage on it. The cheesy garlic knots looked delicious but they just lacked flavor. They had a good amount of cheese, but they didn't have enough seasoning on them. I think Promise uses a different cheese as well because it just doesn't have much flavor. All in all everything we had was tasteless. On the plus side, I called Promise and the guy on the phone was friendly and polite. The delivery guy was also a swell chap. I don't know what else to say really, I am just disappointed that a new delivery option for our neighborhood didn't work out. Pros: A "Different" Pizza, The Staff is Friendly, Ummm... They Deliver? I trucked over to Promise Pizza because I had read some decent reviews. Everyone else must have gone on a different night. Color me disappointed. Initially I was psyched to hear their philosophy and quality of ingredients, but that's not enough to keep a place going. One of my big soap box points is quality and sustainability meeting up in good food. It looks like the ingredients (and smart cars) is where the principals end. I was told 15 minutes and it would be ready. I get there, and lo and behold it's another 15 minute wait. When I finally get my pizza, it's luke warm. The place was not busy, there were no orders stacked up to go, it was just me and a couple waiting for their pizza. They looked like they had made themselves comfortable because they'd been there a while. When I get my tepid pizza it is, at least, tasty. The toppings were good quality, the dough, a little too chewy but not bad. Cheese, meh, could be better could be worse. Note that a medium will run you about 14 bucks and it's about the size of a personal size anywhere else. I'm a fan of smaller portions too, but this didn't cut it for the amount of cash I laid down on it. Plus, it's a freaking conveyor belt oven, not exactly artisan there... Look, I'm a fan of the stoned highschool kid pizza guy as much as anyone else, but they should be able to do the job and at least seem enthusiastic. Maybe they just weren't getting good shit? Cmon Promise, even if you are going to skimp on the quality of the employee buy them some good weed so maybe they won't hate their job! :) The box has a spot where it said "Made with care by _____" Made with care by nobody. Got over charged, got charged the price of two larges for two mediums! Even after the owner helped the cashier..confused on how that's good customer service!! While waiting they were talking about how they did an order wrong and a lady ordered no cheese cause she was allergic and it had cheese than the cashier joked how he was going to charge extra to re-make the pizza. Never in the food business should you talk badly about other customers that is poor etiquette! read more

I was so excited when I found a local pizza place that made fusion pizzas. I had heard great things about the corn pesto pizza and the spicy paneer pizza. The spicy paneer was good but not as great as I thought it would be. Also, if you have food allergies, especially tree nuts, please be aware that the corn pesto pizza is made with walnuts. I found out the hard way when my son who is allergic to tree nuts had a reaction on the way home. Luckily, it's not a severe reaction, but I was sure that it was something in the pesto, so much so that I called them and they confirmed that it did in fact contain walnuts. I was surprised considering the menu board notes that the butter paneer has nuts. So I felt confident when I placed my order that the two pizzas I selected would be safe for my son. I am disappointed about this. I did tell the man I spoke with on the phone that they need to update their menu board to be respectful of customers with food allergies. I do not want anyone else to find out the hard way. I hope management follows through with it. read more

I stopped in today for the first time, just to get a bottle of water. When I walked in, it smelled INCREDIBLE, and I immediately started looking at the menu board hanging from the ceiling. I chose a ham and cheese sandwich for $5.50 and a bottle of water. When rung up, the total came to over $9.00. When I questioned the price, the cashier pulled out a menu from behind the counter to show me that the sandwich I ordered was actually more. When I pointed out the price on the sandwich I ordered (literally right above his head), he said that was wrong. I asked him to honor the price posted, and not only did he refuse, but he started yelling at me. I told him that he may want to change his sign if he doesn't intend to follow his own posted prices. I don't care how amazing the food is. If they treat their customers this way (blatantly and intentionally overcharging their customers without apology), then I cannot and will not return. I don't write reviews too often, but this place is awesome! This was the best tasting pizza I've ever had delivered to my house. I ordered a medium, original crust pizza with pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, black olives, green peppers, and sliced tomatoes and NO CHEESE. (Basically, their "Lonestar" pizza, but I substituted olives and bacon in place of the Canadian bacon and red onions via the online order form). Pros: - Fresh toppings-- every single one was worth ordering - Great crust-- satisfying, chewy and tastes homemade - Perfect sauce-- just like fresh tomatoes - Quick and kind delivery I have to emphasize that I have a severe intolerance of dairy and quite a few other foods, so I never order cheese on my pizza. This is a blessing and a curse. Without cheese to cover a pizza, you can really taste the crust, sauce and toppings. A lot of pizza shops wouldn't be in business if they couldn't hide their poor product with gobs of cheese. I didn't miss the cheese one bit on this pizza. (I know, they offer vegan cheese here, but I'm not really a fan of that stuff.) The price is a tiny bit more expensive than a lot of other pizza places, but I got real food. I'd rather pay a few extra dollars for one quality pizza. I'm sad I walked right past it the other day and ate a very disappointing lunch at Jason's Deli instead. Never again. This place will now be on rotation. My only regret is I should have tipped the delivery guy a bit extra. read more

My order was wrong, wrong drinks, wrong Dessert and wrong pizza. Wrong pizza was mediocre at best.

So I give Promise 5 stars because of the direction w/ going organic and all natural. Honestly I only eat out maybe once every 10 days or so because I need to know about my food, what is in it and where it came from. The pizza at Promise by itself is probably a 3 maybe 4. I am willing to sacrifice some flavor for organic. I have to say I'll spend my hard earned dollar at an organic restaurant a hundred times over a conventional pizza place. I also try to eat more veggies vs meat but at Promise I love the pepperoni! Unlike other places the pepperoni pizza here is not greasy at all and is very delicious! I usually get a side salad w/ my pizza and it is a really good mix of greens, tomato, mushroom and onion. I haven't tried anything else yet but look forward to sampling some of their other offerings. Oh and only bummer is they do not really have any seating to speak of. A couple of chairs and tables out on the sidewalk but that is pretty much it so expect to take this home or have it delivered. One additional note...Thank you Promise Pizza for giving consumers a choice in eating food that is still food and not a toxic mixture of chemicals and preservatives. read more

For awhile, I could get past the fact that the employees taking the order for delivery on the phone sounded like they were more annoyed that you called than interested in taking your order. For awhile, I could forgive getting an incorrect order, despite the fact that the "manager" had no interested in fixing it or correcting it. For awhile, it was enough that Promise Pizza offered organic ingredients and whole wheat crust. No longer. After receiving the wrong order this past weekend, encountering a "manager" who sounded like she could care less what happened and never offering an apology, I am done. Promise Pizza Great Hills, I hope you find a way to hire better employees. Goodness this was a mess. So the food wasn't terrible, but the decisions they made while making it were! I ordered a 10in pizza that I requested both Alfredo and Pesto on. Instead of calling me to tell me it wasn't possible and letting me chose what I wanted, they chose to make the pizza how they wanted. Then, I ordered a 6 pack of cream soda. Once again, instead of calling me to let me know they were out of cream soda, they sent me a hodgepodge of random sodas, none of which I actually wanted. They did come back to redeliver the sodas when I called about it, but this shouldn't be such an issue. Just call your guest and ask them what they want, don't make decisions on what they're paying for!!! read more

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY!!! I am not saying the pizza is terrible but there delivery service to say the least is AWFUL. I have ordered the quatro formaggio several times and picked it up and was always slightly satisfied, despite the high prices. Delivery on the other hand is DISGUSTING. It took over 2 hours for my food to get here and it was cold and god awful (leftovers also suck). Simply put, don't order delivery. Find a better pizza place which shouldn't be hard and if you do order from here, pick it up. read more

THIS review is mostly about their GLUTEN free not MAIN menu. I ordered on-line (this was my first try at Promise Pizza) and did receive polite and prompt service. The pizza itself was okay. I ordered a GLUTEN free crust and it was a better crust than other pizza's. However, it seemed a bit doughy/undercooked and the pizza had a ALOT of cheese on it. Flavor was still pretty good. However, they state on their website that if you have celiacs you should basically not have pizza from there and if you have sensitivities that even though you order gluten free there may be cross contamination....and their CERTAINLY WAS! Which to me is a bit confusing to have gluten free if it really isn't going to be gluten free on the menu. I have very distinct reactions to gluten in my digestive track that I will not elaborate on. It was CLEAR to me that even though the crust may have been gluten free that perhaps someone pressed the dough or tossed the dough using regular flour and I was sick all night. Just be wary if you are Gluten free...however, the regular pizza may be delicious. read more
