The food atmosphere and staff are amazing. From the butter to the entree. Best lil place I have ever been.

Decent spot for seafood. I enjoyed the mussels, raw oysters, and tomato salad. I wasn't a big fan of the fried crab claws though. Definitely get the key lime pie for dessert. Service was excellent and prices were good. They can also handle large groups which was what we were looking for.

The food is outstanding. We ate here with friends and between us had several dishes. The food is fresh and filled with flavor. We especially enjoyed the heirloom tomato salad. The service was outstanding.

Prime NY Strip with truffle pomme frites and poppyseed coleslaw. Winner!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Que Sera. My wife thought the Shrimp Scampi was good. I had the Prime NY Strip with truffle pomme frites and poppyseed coleslaw. Each individually was excellent, but all three together was outstanding. I definitely recommend Que Sera. Also, the apple turnover a la mode was tasty. It was deep fried. Yummy!

Consistently good food at a reasonable tariff. Service can be a bit hit or miss though. If you're a known local you're golden, but visitors seem to receive a slightly cold shoulder. That aside, I never come to Black Mountain without a stop here.

Very unexpected and very good. We were driving from Charlotte to Highlands and stopped for dinner. Everything was excellent: we got oysters, martinis, dinner specials of veal and grouper. Everything was on point!

I love love loved my experience here! We had a Valentine's weekend date night here and it was perfect. The food was amazing, our server Joe was attentive and friendly, and the vibe of the restaurant was so relaxed and intimate.

The food at Que Sera is good, as is the service. The entrees seem to be a bit overpriced for the location and ambiance.

Over the top expensive. The lack of pricing on their menu should have been a clue. It was tasty, just felt deceived.

Had the breakfast sandwich with veggie sausage and for the side, I had the gumbo. The gumbo was very good. Certainly not the best I've had but I enjoyed it. Hearty and had a kick. The sandwich was also very good. The gluten free bun was decent and the veggie patties were basically like your store bought veggie sausages (think Morningstar). My biggest issue was I ordered over easy and the eggs were basically fried. My wife got a Benedict and the poached eggs were also very over cooked. If all you serve is breakfast and lunch, you need to know how to cook eggs. The beignets we ordered were very good. Not cafe du monde (NOLA) or Huey's (Savannah) good, but a solid attempt. My other complaint is they were out of plant based milk. The server said they usually stock almond milk but ran out. First, if it's so popular that you run out, order more. Second, if you ran out unexpectedly because you always have enough, then go out and buy more since it's obviously popular. It was 10:30 on Sunday. You literally just opened which means you ran out last night. Go to the supermarket on your way in (or ask a server to stop on their way in) and buy more. It's not like it's the middle of the shift and you ran out. Sorry, but a pet peeve of mine is when a restaurant runs out of something that is easily purchased a block away at a supermarket or convenience store. Anyway, I would come back. They need to do better with their egg cooking but the meal was otherwise very good.

The club sandwich is about as good as any we have ever tried. The bacon is cooked perfectly, the turkey is high quality, the bread is fresh. I would say something was a bit overly sweet which may have been the bacon but I wasn't sure. Also, the bread was good but maybe a bit too dry for my tastes. All in though, a remarkable sandwich. Well done, Mayfel's! The gumbo was full of meats and tasty. I would suggest order, $3 upcharge, but well worth it. We got crab cakes on the salad which were also terrific. Limited to no filler, no breading, and cooked to perfection. We received two small crab cakes for the $8 charge which we felt was well worth it. The salad was good too. This is a place to go if you are interested in cajun - e.g. gumbo, etouffee, jumbalaya, po' boy, and so on. Outside of cajun there are limited options - e.g. burger, sandwiches, salad.

The catfish is the best I've had in Asheville, so far. I've tried Good Hot Fish, some of the other oyster houses and the po-boys at Sunny Point, but Crab du Jour is my fave, when it comes to catfish. Everyone is cordial and accommodating here. The sweet potatoes could use a little soul food mama help, but otherwise, everything I've had here has been delicious, from the clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. Selfishly, I want the crawfish season to last longer, but I don't know the choreography of the rain dances to extend that season, so here we are with frozen IQFs.

(2/5 Stars)…read more Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing from start to finish. The service was fair, but the food took a very long time to arrive. When it finally did, the seafood didn't seem particularly fresh, and the catfish was overcooked to the point of being burnt. To the restaurant's credit, they did offer a discount after the issue was brought to their attention, which I appreciated. However, the quality of the meal simply wasn't what I expected. One thing that also stood out was the feedback box near the cashier. It was so overloaded with comment cards that it honestly made me wonder whether the feedback is ever reviewed or acted upon. If customer comments are being collected, there should be a visible effort to address the concerns people are taking the time to write down. I hope this was just an off day, but between the long wait, poor food quality, and the impression that customer feedback may not be taken seriously, I don't see myself returning.

The Pelham Road location is roomier with a better layout, so it worked out in our favor. The food was the same, and the service was over-the-top good. Unless you are a competitive eater, get the smaller size and order a variety. Everything is great.

When she knows what she wants for dinner, I'm going to cooperate. The restaurant was not busy at 6pm on a Friday evening so we were seated immediately at a table and drink orders taken. When our drinks arrived, we ordered dinner. Quick. Like less than five minutes. A big sandwich with Mrs. that arrived with a plate of fries. And a plate of catfish and shrimp for me, also with a stack of fries and the cole slaw. All of it was okay. The catfish was light and flaky and not overly battered. Fresh from the frier. The shrimp were also lightly battered and lightly spiced. The TON of fries we had were delicious. Cooked properly, served hot and with a nice zingy spice on them. Overall, a good experience.
