This was the worst Ralph's I've ever been to. Outside was a group of "high school" kids reeking of weed and aggressively harassing customers to buy chocolates. Must be friends with management because there's not supposed to be unapproved solicitors here, but staff came and chatted so they must know. Inside bathroom toilet had stuff all over it. Girl who bagged groceries named Maddy look super high and would not help customer. Cashier seemed to be only sane person. Feel bad that she has to work here. read more

This store needs some serious HELP! I probably won't be shopping at this location from now on because they have no idea how to run the store. When there are long lines, especially on the weekends, you should make sure there are enough cashiers working, so that customers don't have to wait 20 minutes or more to checkout. It's absolutely ridiculous and almost happens every time I come here. If you're reading this, I highly recommend shopping at Vons from now on because they have a way better selection, higher quality produce, their employees are faster on the registers and you won't wait all day in line at the check out. I am giving this 5 stars due to the online ordering experience. I usually like to go to a grocery store to get items, however, there have been a few times where I have been in a schedule crunch so I order online for pickup. I made my first online order at this Ralphs location a few years ago and it was a total disaster. However, I recently have made a couple of online orders and they have been stellar. Everything I ordered was included, all the items were good quality, and the order was quick to come out. There is a worker at this Ralphs named Kevin...he has handled my online orders the last two times and I have had an extremely great experience. Obviously you cannot request him, but if he does your online order, you will be in very good shape. Gives way more credibility to this Ralphs that does not always have the best reputation. read more

This Ralph's has gone downhill since the pandemic began. I don't know who the manager is but he is majorly dropping the ball. Everything from empty shelves to no product available on the website (but if you go inside the store it's there) to less-than-acceptable curbside pickup. My main issue is the curbside service. More often than not, my order has not been ready and last weekend it was cancelled altogether. Yesterday I had to wait over an hour for my order to get finished. I could've gotten the job since quicker but I don't want to be inside the store if I can help it, The order was wrong and calling the store was ineffective. The manager blamed it on corporate and corporate has done nothing about my complaints. If you need to hire more people, than hire more people. You got cashiers standing around chatting in there so why not give them something else to do? The cavalier attitude towards complaints really isn't helping you. If I have to go inside the store, I go late at night when there are less people. I haven't experienced rude employees but I'm rather shocked at the amount of reviews that have. Clearly the managers here don't read the reviews or they might consider retraining as well as some lessons in etiquette. And yes -- it's THIS store that's the problem. Bought $1000 worth of gift cards at this location and 3 of the 5 had been completely wiped out within 4 days of purchase. Luckily those I had given them too were close family and advised of the issue. Have spent in excess of 5 hours at this point on the phone as purchases were made all over Southern California. This was Even before I had given them as gifts on Christmas Day. Rep in India stated this is a common issues and after investigation will take 45-60 to get reimbursement. If this is a known common issue why on earth is Ralph's selling these cards knowing what nightmare their customers will then go through?? She does not like to give out straws to paying customers. She denies customers requests and thinks she's the C.E.O. to Starbucks. A woman asked for a straw and Joy lied Saying, "we don't have anymore straws." News flash, Starbucks does not care about you. Also, doesn't make drinks well. This location sucks! Great weekly deals from this Ralph. I bought asparagus for 99 cents and pack last week and this week, the rio eyes are on sale for $5.99 a pound vs. the normal $16 a pound. Chobani Greek yogurt this week is $8 for 10. I sometimes just order online and then pick the groceries up. Very convenient as you can call ahead and they would bring out the order to the parking lot. For those of us that are in a hurry to get home after work, this is the way to go. read more

Great neighborhood grocery store. We often times come here late at night and the people working here are super kind and friendly. You get to see familiar faces of people working here during that same time. The stocks are clean and organized, and lots of great deals and fruits and veggies are very very fresh. We've brought our toddler with us several times and all the people working here are super helpful, considerate and friendly that she did not want to leave! read more

I've never had a problem with this store before, but today was just terrible. There was an incompetent cashier and even more incompetent customer service counter people. The cashier was tripping something because he rang up an additional item and put in the wrong code (danish instead of a bagel). To top it off, one item rang up as $1 more than the sign on the table displayed. I waited for at the Customer Service counter while two employees were too busy to acknowledge my presence let alone smart enough to call someone over to help me. I live down the street from this Ralphs. It's an ok market, but there have been multiple times that my parents return from grocery shopping and rattled off their story of how Ralphs is trying to rip them off charging more than advertised. It has happened on numerous occasions. I hate being that person that complains that my receipt didn't add up right because it was 40 cents off. But societal pressure isn't going to stop me from redeeming my deal and saving $! Other than the mess with check out, this place is fine. It's always convenient. I have memories from my middle school days, walking home and getting PS soda for 25 cents! That was the best. I haven't checked out the soda machine lately, but I'm certain it's more than 25 cents for a can of grape or orange soda. This place also has a nice floral selection. And there are Rug Doctor carpet cleaning machines for rent. They have the wide mouth and regular machines. Make sure to go on the Rug Doctor website to get a coupon for the rental. It was about $25 for a 24 hr rental. Not too shabby. read more

Stopped by this Ralphs location with my husband about an hour ago after our dinner because we had to stock up on our produce. We also ended up purchasing a few other things because of the digital coupons I added to our Ralphs' club card. This is our first time using digital coupons so I wasn't exactly sure if it would go through. So after we found all of the food items that we were here for, we went through this one older gentleman's cashier line. He was not friendly and seemed to not care that he was there at work (but not a big deal to me). After my digital coupons did not work, I asked him about that and just tried to get rid of us and told us to go to the customer service desk. Since no one was there, I just told the manager of my problem (he was actually really close by so I did not have to go out of my way looking for him). The manager was more than helpful, along with the sales manager in helping to fix our problem and we were able to use the digital coupons no problem. Just for the customer service from these 2 managers alone is worth a high rating. But aside from our experience, one thing I noticed about this Ralphs is that this location seems to me smaller than some of the other Ralphs stores that I have been to. But there are 2 Redbox kiosk machines by one of the front entrances and we were still able to find all the items we came in here for. Overall, a pretty nice store off of Foothill that I would come to again if I am in the area. read more

For the first time I ordered groceries to be picked up as I was not physically able to go to the store. A friend picked up for me. I had quite a good size order. I give this Ralphs 3 stars because it is big and clean. Also, you can get some grocery items for an actual discount. For example, a gallon of 2% milk is $3.29 at Ralphs with discount card but it is closer to $4.00 at Sams Club. The only reason I give this place a mediocre rating is because of the poor bagging service. Person who bagged my groceries was not gentle or did not care about putting the groceries neatly in my bag because when I got home I saw that my yogurt top had been punctured by another sharp item in the bag and yogurt had spilled out. I had to throw it away and that was a waste of $1. Shame I discovered it at home because if I was still in the parking lot I would have gone back inside and requested a refund. Yes, of $1. read more

My wife and I have been going to this location for approximately a year. Unfortunately, we have constantly been disappointed by the poor customer service. The cashiers are rarely friendly, and are even times rude. Just yesterday, I had a second poor experience with the same Starbucks barista inside the store. She was a young blond employee not wearing a name tag (on 2/18/18 at 5:30 pm). There was no one else in line, and she was not helping anyone. When I walked up to the counter, she literally walked away and then walked back, and flatly stated, "what can I get you?" She was then rude, because I apparently stated my order too fast. Then, when I went to the checkout line, Renée was assisting me. I'm familiar with her in the past, and she has more of a dry personality, so I don't expect her to be overly friendly with me. However, when I asked if I could do a return at the checkstand or if I need to go to the customer service counter, she exhaled with an attitude, and stated I was supposed to do it there with her. She made it seem like as if that was something I should know. This is the first return I've ever done, so I did not know. She also was rude with me, and I don't know why. I think I initially greeted her, and didn't do anything else that would frustrate her. I just think the cashiers there in generally seem to be annoyed all the time. Maybe I'm the only one. Normally, I wouldn't post a poor review, but this has happened to me multiple times at this one location, so it's worth taking the time to write this. I normally love Ralphs, because we used to go to a different location in Monterey Park before we moved, and all of the employees there were very friendly and helpful. This is a stark contrast, and management needs to do something about this location. It's gotten to the point where we are considering utilizing other grocery stores in the area because the customer service always has me leaving frustrated that I was treated so poorly. I hate to be "that customer", but I've never had issues anywhere else, and the consistency of their lack of good customer service has me very concerned. read more

Ralphs took my order on April 6th for a delivery, on April 11th, the day before scheduled delivering I get a text they have cancelled the delivery due to their inability to deliver it. 2 days later they took the money out of my account. Now I have no groceries and no money. They were not helpful with reimbursing my money and said none was withdrawn, which is a lie as it shows in my account they took the money out after canceling my delivery. I know this virus is very bad, but they should not offer delivery if they cannot deliver and they DEFINITELY should immediately reimburse me for the money they took. This store is clean and has a nice variety of items. We very rarely stop by this store, as it isn't local for us, but each time we do, we find the employees less than pleasant. The only "upbeat" employee we interacted with on this last visit was nice, but didn't have any idea where to find the item we were looking for. Today I got in the over 60line at 6:50 a.m. At exactly 7:00 they began to let in groups... super organized with a friendly greeting at the door! The staff here are good except for that stocky tall guy wearing baseball cap who walks around the fried chicken section at back. Can't tell if he is part Caucasian or Latino. It's the second time he ticked me off so I just had to let you know. He has an unprofessional smart alec attitude problem that needs to be addressed. If he can't talk nice He should just keep quiet it would be better for customers. He needs customer service training. Just the act of being kind and professional to customers is basic customer service he will need. I don't think he is aware of his attitude. No need to write him up - Just train him better.
