The waiter Ben should be ashamed of himself. We were interested in the MP crab at $108 a lb. He neglected to let us know the crab was 12 lbs or to explain the process completely with the order. There was waaay too much crab for 4 people and an $1800 tab for 4, was honestly ridiculous. I would never think of complaining if we had knowingly agreed to the purchase. We felt swindled and the waiter Ben did a horrible job. He should have told us the process when ordering the crab and the weight. We only ate 1/2 of it. He further allowed us to order more food. Luckily we canceled the chicken dish in time. We also ordered the $28 green beans. Disappointed at the tiny serving, even though as mentioned, we had too much crab. OK this place is a total splurge! Sra. C. & I were celebrating our birthdays, and decided to come here. Every single thing we had was fantastic, and the service provided by Ryan was world class! I have to recommend the lobster shumai, the quail egg taro puff, and, if they have it, the snow pea greens. If you are insane, like we are, have the whole coral cod steamed in soy sauce. You will cry when you get the bill, but until then you will find experience completely transcendent. This is real iron chef material! Make sure to order the Golden Lotus drink. It is delicious, and a wonderful piece of performance art. A very pretentious Asian restaurant with very good food but outrageous prices. We were convinced to select the Coral Cod entree. When the bill came we were charged $326 for the fish dish pictured here. They priced the fish by the lb but it was not clear you were paying for the wt of the entire fish. And this was no 3lb cod anyway. May have been a 1.5 lb fish. That's like charging for the pig when you order a BLT ! Our meal of chicken wrap appetizer, 3 tiny dim sum dumplings, a. This place has a beautiful decor when first entering, but too bad the taste and flavor of food doesn't follow the ambiance. Basically it's Panda Express quality food just platted slightly better. Honestly it's embarrassing to anyone that has a true authentic taste for true "Asian food," but I guess it'll pass for someone that thinks that they're eating true Asian cuisine. 2/4/19: Another amazing dining experience at Red Plate! Both the food and the service are consistently impressive. Both Mario & Nori are absolutely wonderful and very much a pleasure to dine with! I always love the attention to detail! Mario's adorable humor always puts a smile on my face. Since I love so many of the dishes, I hadn't had the opportunity to try the Peking duck until tonight. A half order was being offered as a special due to the Chinese New Year. Everything was delicious as always... including the cocktails. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff is exceptional, we were even offered a delicious complimentary dessert. We made reservations, right when it opened and where among the only ones in the place, it was a nice quiet evening with only a few other seats taken. We were a bit hungry so we ordered several evening Dim Sum, the Pork Potstickers, Black Truffle Xiao Lung Bar, and Caviar Taro Puff with Quail Egg to start. Everything was very excellent really authentic and had such great flavors it was worth trying. For our main course I had the Beef Fried Rice with Black Truffle and Egg, very delicious had so much flavor was very happy with that choice. The other main choice was Spicy Singapore Rice Noodle with BBQ Pork and Shrimp, it was also very delicious was not really spicy at all but had a lot of flavor. We almost ordered whole Peking duck there was a few extra ready just encase, but we decided on the other options this time around and will have to come back to try that or the Whole pig. Just as a side note if you want one of these options you much order it ahead of time. The cocktails are very unique and excellent definitely recommend exploring them. read more

I read about this new restaurant in the LA Times, and felt I needed to try it out. First off, the restaurant is located at the Cosmopolitan, which is high-end fun. It opens at 6:00 PM, and we were the first to be seated. Our server was Ann, the best server I have ever had in my life! She is polished and really knows how to make you feel like royalty. We started off with minced chicken wraps and enjoyed the freshness and quality put into the food. Our protein was Chilean sea bass, prepared delicately pan fried with a selection of sauces from spices, soy sauce and XO. Chinese broccoli was served perfectly, and I was able to get some hoisin sauce for a slight sweetness. It was suggested the Golden Lotus drink from the bar might be something to try, as it perks the palate, and refreshing; it was delicious and not too strong! Since it was my wife's birthday, we were treated to some nice dessert, and sweetness to closeout the evening. Where to start with this review! Just phenomenal experience, both service and cuisine. This restaurant is fairly new inside of the Cosmo taking the place of DOCG. It is a small restaurant, very intimate and quiet. I was surprised how the casino and restaurant noise was completely silent inside the restaurant. The décor is primarily black, red, and white. This is a high end experience. Our server, Noriko, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, down to earth, explained every dish in such detail and visited our table often to make sure we were completely satisfied with our experience. The cuisine was flavorful and carefully created. There are many spices that come together to make this experience great for guests. I highly recommend the filet mignon with mushrooms and the black truffle beef fried rice! Even the cocktails were something I've never tried before with so many ingredients blended together beautifully. I suggest the Moon Festival. I would say this is one of the best restaurants for atmosphere, service, and cuisine at the Cosmo! read more

Omg - where to begin...I stay at The Cosmpolitan every time I come to Vegas, but this restaurant has opened since my last visit. Everything was delicious! I sat at the bar, and Kai provided excellent service and great company. They have inventive drinks and a great wine list. It sounds silly but as one who travels for work, it was so nice that they had cell chargers under the bar. Starving upon arrival, I wanted one of everything. The King Crab Spring Rolls were made of the best ingredients. Having never had dim sum, I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved the Lobster Sui Mai. And you'll never eat fried rice again after having the Beef Fried Rice with Black Truffle & Egg. Coming from a place with limited Chinese restaurants, this was truly a great meal. I ended up eating here sort of by mistake. There were lines just about everywhere else so I started talking to the hostesses here and gave it a try. I'm allergic to shellfish so that was a huge concern of mine given everything they have going on here. All was taken care of perfectly. My Chilean Sea Bass was really good. Just a bit overpriced but that's to be expected. Taiwan Spicy Beef Noodle Soup was also good but not as spicy as I was hoping for. Would have loved to try their hot pot but it's $180 (!!fhg!!!asfakgfh!!!!!fja!) a person and not particularly friendly to us hot pot lovers with dietary/allergic restrictions. There's potential here for a whole new concept of Vegas buffet. Hopefully they listen to reviews and change things accordingly. Major potential here so long as they make a few changes! This place was absolutely spectacular. It had only been there third day being open since the pandemic started oh, and they were operating on a limited menu. I started with the pork appetizer, and it would absolutely melt-in-your-mouth. I went on to order the beef tenderloin and mushroom main dish, and the beef was so tender and flavorful it would also melt in your mouth. We found this restaurant by accident, and I could not be more happy. We were reviewing menu's of other restaurants on the same floor and felt they were overpriced and trying too hard to be "hip and cool", so we kept moving along and stumbled upon Red Plate restaurant. It was tucked away in a back corner and luckily we saw a hostess otherwise we would have thought they were the back side of one of the other restaurants on the floor. We looked at the menu, and food selection and pricing was good. Noriko was our server, and she was so friendly and knowledgeable about the food they served, which helped us make our selections. We had chicken lettuce wraps and dim sum as appetizers, Chilean Sea Bass and scallops as main courses. All excellent! We also ordered their signature fried rice dish - it was INCREDIBLE! You must order it! I have to say, in ALL honesty, this is the best dinner experience I have ever had when visiting Las Vegas, and I've been here over a dozen times!
