Believe the hype about the pancakes! Sooo good and their house made sausage is fantastic also. Subtracting 1 star because on one of our visits we sat at the coffee bar and the server/barista was super snippy and rude, like how did we have the audacity to come to the business and actually want breakfast. I'm all for giving credit when credit is due. And I'm full but want to eat again because it was so good. I was pretty hungry and thought The Early Bird Special wouldn't be enough, so ordered a short stack of buttermilk pancakes too. Mistake, but I'm pleased with it, and that's okay. Rarely do I not finish my food, and today is that rare occasion. I ate as much as I could, and I eat a lot, but couldn't find room for all of it. The pancakes are a Yes. The sausage is different, but good. It tastes better with the biscuit than the pancakes IMHO. The skillet potatoes were fried hard, but seasoned and good. The two eggs looked like four. Thank you! The bacon, which I ordered crispy, was so good. I'd definitely come back and order the same thing, even thought every plate I saw come out looked good. Ambience/Crowd: family oriented; casual Food: the food was good the grits had so much Glover but were too gritty and less creamy. For those who know me or has read a handful of my reviews know that I adore lunch/dinner like foods for breakfast. I will not be ashamed of my preferences. I got a chicken sandwich for with gravy on the side for breakfast and my oh my. That gravy made my day/life. When in the south, you need a bit of gravy. The food was made so well and everything was just so straightforward. You get a sandwich, you get a sandwich made properly. You get a gravy, you get a proper gravy. I would go here for breakfast over and over again if I lived in Atlanta. Will be paying this place a visit next time I am in town. read more

First time here and it was certainly a good time. The service is good and it's a nice, cozy space with a chill vibe and quite a few people sporting some absolutely beautiful ink. We came for breakfast and surprised ourselves by ordering all vegan. The Bionic Breakfast was great but the Tofu Scramble was phenomenal. We'd ordered one of each, realised we loved each other's meal, combined them and all was right with the world. The Maple Cortado special was nice and tasty too. The good: SERVICE. All of the waitstaff were friendly and extra attentive. There wasn't too long of a wait for the food. We ordered the Brisket Breakfast and Burrito; they took about 45 minutes. The brisket was listed as a slowed cook for 14 hours. I don't think it is soft enough. The sauce is salty at the end. Highly recommend you order a side of grit to go with it. Having the Grits with the sauce on top provides a well-balanced flavor. The burrito was ok as well. We got an Elote Cup as the side. It was probably the best dish on the table! Try it out if you are debating what side to get. Our server was very amiable and helpful! Father's Day at Ria's. The line was down the streets on this rainy morning. They handled it well, they allowed us to say who was first ( we were third ) and seated us accordingly! Good vibes inside of Ria, it was quit welcoming. My family order hibiscus tea, which taste and look like cranberry juice and served cold. I ordered a coffee, my family order shrimps and grit and I ordered the granola yogurt fruit bowl. It was all very yummy! Our server was covered in beautiful Tatts! This is my first comeback, and I only had Buttermilk Pancakes, aka "the world's best pancakes"- NY Times as stamped on the menu. Last time, I did not know there were tables at the side/backyard, which is very cool. They had Halloween decorations. The vibe in this area is different from my first experience so I'm in love with it. People are so great, fun, and always smiling. The pancakes are qualified for the good ones, such as the butter cover is manageable, and the sweetness is just strong enough so I can put more syrup. They are still warm. I can still taste the natural flavor, and they are, of course, fluffy enough. I don't know much about the best one, but in my experience, this is not the best that I ever had, especially when I was so excited with such a spoiler alert, "the world's best pancakes." So, it's a crowd pleaser, and a great place to meet friends. First time out, I had the country fried tempeh which was good, but not as flavor packed as I would have liked. This time, I went for the Bionic Bowl, which was a savory flavor-bomb - very satisfying. My husband has ordered the pancakes both times - they are fluffy perfection. In fact, they are so good, that he eats most of them without syrup. Also, appreciate that the batter is not full of sugar - they are from scratch, home-made pancakes. We had a party of 5 around 10:45 on a Sunday. Their dine-in situation was a little confusing. Their front patio is first come, first served, but to eat on the front patio, you order the food inside for takeout and they bring it out to you in bags. They request that only one party come inside to order at a time, which of course we understand! To eat on the back patio with full service, if your is party bigger than 4, you will sit at multiple tables. No substitutions on any orders. When we got there, there was a 30 minute wait for the back patio, but there were many tables open on the front patio, so we just sat in the front and ordered takeout. It got more crowded as we waited, so 10:45/11:00 was the best time to come. It did take a while for our food to come out. Everything was reasonably priced. Here's what we got: - Iced coffee ($3.50): They brought creamer and simple syrup with it. It was really good! - Brisket Breakfast ($13): It was okay, but wasn't as breakfast-y as I wanted it to be. - Huevos ($12): Good. They serve the salsa verde on the side if requested. - Short stack of Buttermilk Pancakes ($5.75): The syrup is key. - Early Bird: No price on the menu. Lots of options to customize. The fruit cup is huge. - Chicken BLT ($13): Good! The bread was beautifully buttered and toasted. Came with a decently sized salad. They're doing a good job with all the precautions they're taking for Covid. It just seems a little wasteful to use takeout containers for people sitting on the front patio. read more

Big enough to share but you won't want to. The biscuits are to die for and are definitely home made and fluffy. I had a slight problem with the in house meat patty being undercooked, but it was immediately solved when I was brought another piece and it was delicious. For sides, go with the potatoes. She just never seemed to have time or interest in helping us. She seemed inconvenienced by our requests and She brought up some childhood trauma for me. I felt like I needed to fix something for her in order to survive. Ria still reigns as Queen of breakfast in my book. Not your typical Atl brunch spot where you get dressed up, just a cozy place to get a delicious breakfast. This was my first time back since COVID, and it's still delicious as it was 2020 B.C. I came during the week and was lucky to snag a parking spot in the front of the restaurant (parking is very limited). I was seated quickly, if you come during the weekend be prepared to wait. I got my usual early bird breakfast with a short stack. I love their homemade sausage, perfectly charred breakfast potatoes & the pancakes are top notch. They do charge $2 if you need extra syrup, which for two tbsp is excessive IMO, so I packed the rest of my cakes to go. They run drink & food specials regularly so don't forget to ask about those. I got the special iced oat milk chai latte and it was awesome! I will always recommend Ria's, it's one of the best places in Atlanta to get breakfast. Period. read more

But she was definitely doing her best and was super friendly The vibe is very "old timey diner and it's relatively small. On a Friday morning there was a wait to even to sit at the bar which is typically not my first choice, but, we were hungry so we took the first available. We had read that Ria's was famous for their pancakes so, obviously had to order some of those, along with a biscuit, eggs, and bacon. My meal came with potatoes which, for me, were too oniony, but my wife loved them! The pancakes were DEFINITELY the star of the show! The location isn't very big which is why there is a wait whenever you drive pass so bring your patience and conversation because you will have to wait. Let me begin by saying that our server here was excellent and I don't fault her at all for our experience. When we arrived we were told the wait was 45-60 minutes so we decided to sit outside and kill some time. After an hour we inquired about our table and were told to wait 15 more minutes. When we finally got our table everyone was starving and had already looked over the menu so we knew exactly what we wanted to eat. Here come's the problem: for every dish we ordered we were told they were out of it. I'm not sure why they made us wait so long when the kitchen practically had no food left. I get that this is a brunch place so they don't stock a full day's worth of food but they should have just sent us home an hour ago. Everyone at the table ended up ordering the turkey sandwich which was actually a solid choice but not quite what we wanted. I decided to order a cookie as a treat to myself and it just never arrived.
