This place was such a nice find! Has outdoor seating and spacious indoors. Quaint and lovely. Service was fantastic, attentive waitress. We got a burger and couscous bowl. Burger was completed, clean plate! The shrimp on the couscous was semi raw, but it's ok. I loved the avocado, edamame and corns! Could go lighter on the dressing. Portion was great. I packed the rest to go and will just cook the shrimps more when I get home. It seems like they may have an upstairs but didn't go look. We did enjoy this place in the town. You could go across to the check out the stream too! Will be back!

What a delicious evening from beginning to end the quality of the food was superb. The mushrooms were juicy and flavorful. The chicken bowl was definitely fulfilling and I will go back and order again. Service was excellent staff was on top of the game answered any questions we had about the menu. Ambience was perfect we were there for an early dinner it was quite but busy. The options that I glanced at as the server walked past us looked satisfying. Wine beer and cocktails available there is a bar and outdoor seating available.

Great new place! Food is delish!!! Deviled eggs are super tasty. Patio outside is perfect with music played not too loudly that you can't have a conversation. Plus the service was great!!! Well go there again!

The crab cakes here are delicious. They paired well with the arugula salad. I chose broccolini as my side & I really enjoyed it. The tempura battered asparagus were interesting! They had a slight lemon/zesty flavor and the dipping sauce went well with it. The Rivulet 75 was a delicious cocktail that went well with my meal. The staff were all very friendly.

We absolutely love this place!! Fabulous food and sauces; the soup is always delicious and unique! Husband loves the fig crostini; fantastic cerviche special with this thin fabulous grilled bread (I forget what it's called) Tuna is fresh and seared perfectly. We've been so many times and have loved every dish we have had! Cocktails and wine selection are great! They also have outside seating with TVs!! All the staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. Chef Roeh (Roy) is very impressive with his unique combinations of flavors! What a treat for Boerne! And they're open on Monday!!! Yay!

So far I've enjoyed our food, the devil eggs are definitely good a solid 8/10, the Pumpkin Raviolis are a great combination of sweet and savory they're a 8.2/10, the Cheesy Bacon Potato soup the waitress raved about was not my favorite, it's a 6/10 it is very savory and has a decent consistency but it needed sour cream or something to break it up a bit. The staff is fantastic and so is the over all energy of the place. It's a great vibe and a wonderful atmosphere to relax and enjoy lunch alone or with friends, not too loud but still very friendly and not pretentious at all

The dishes we tried were full of flavor. They have an ample cocktail menu. If you like alfresco dining this place has a nice patio. Service was attentive.

Outside seating is very pleasant. It faces the river so you can watch the ducks and the other wildlife while dining. There are a lot of ceiling fans to keep you cool. They have a free parking lot so you don't have to drive around, looking for a place to park or park in the street. The food is amazing. Try the cowboy burger. It's excellent. Bourbon and fig jam wow! There are also a lot of healthy options if you feel like something lighter. The service is very friendly & attentive as well and we received our food very quickly. I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

We had an early lunch at Rivulet. My wife had Bang Bang Shrimp, which was delicious with a little spice. I had the Rivy Ruben, a nice Rueben sandwich piled high with slice corned beef. I also had the Fig Old Fashioned, which was excellent. I recommend Rivulet.

The menu is on the wall and ordering at the counter. There are yummy looking pies in the case. We were happy to see liver and onions with 3 sides. It also came with an incredibly tasty muffin, which we were told was a type of bran muffin. The liver was very thinly sliced and nicely grilled. Sides were generous. We got drinks and my unsweet tea was nicely brewed, which in Texas is expected. Counter staff was friendly and service was quick. The environs are in serious need of an upgrade, which I doubt will happen to keep the prices low. As it is our shared meal and two drinks was about $25. We were very pleased with our meal, the restrooms were clean and easy access, and overall other than extremely dated decor this eatery is a Boerne classic!

Portions are good and getting the large portion may mean you can share with partner. Chicken fried steak is good, mashed potatoes are the staple of my choice. The other day my husband and I were there and as usual, it was busy. The staff is super friendly! The food comes out in the expected amount of time to make you feel like it was made just for you, but not from scratch, lol. I was disappointed in the mac n'cheese. It was extremely bland. And the corn was definitely from a can, not a bit of salt or butter. We shared a chopped sirloin and it was good. On other visits I can say I have enjoyed the chicken tender salad and fried catfish but really the chicken fried steak or chicken are my GO TO choices. I will say, if the owner is reading this...I know you are super busy, but your restaurant needs a good cleaning and refresh. It's kinda worn out. The chairs aren't comfortable. The booths need to be scrubbed, even the walls adjoining to the booths are dirty. Maybe your bussers clean the table tops great after each use, but the surrounding area is kinda gross. I am not saying I won't be back, or even that people shouldn't give it a try, just setting expectations and hoping that the owners make some time to get back to quality on every plate and at every table.

Under the guidance of Chef Keith Kuhn, whose international culinary background informs the menu, Valeria delivers a seasonally evolving selection of dishes that emphasize freshness, quality, and flavor. Though the emphasis is on Italian, the menu veers into other cuisines from Europe. From wood-fired pizzas to fresh seafood and house-made desserts, Valeria has earned its reputation as a rare gem in a town bereft of world-class cuisine. Having dined there numerous times, I could write a tome of a review detailing at least a dozen dishes. Alas, Yelp has imposed a draconian 5,000-character limit, so I am forced to limit my review to several standouts. Valeria's housemade bread selections put other restaurants' bread offerings to shame. The selection varies from visit to visit, but expect a generous portion of organic, warm house-baked breads accompanied by unsalted French butter, a ramekin of sea salt, and a selection of briny olives. True to European tradition, I butter each slice of bread and apply a sprinkling of salt to taste. The spicy meat lovers pizza is a triumph of bold flavors. Topped with a robust combination of pepperoni, Italian sausage, fresh jalapeños, Calabrian chilis, a mountain of shredded mozzarella, and a zesty San Marzano tomato sauce, this pizza -- my personal favorite on the menu -- balances heat with depth. The crust, crafted from organic flour, achieves the coveted Neapolitan texture: crisp on the outside, airy within. A smear of San Marzano tomato sauce provides a bright, tangy foundation, while the jalapeños and Calabrian chilis deliver a satisfying kick. The duck confit, easily the best iteration of the dish within 100 miles, exemplifies Valeria's ability to execute rustic European standards with finesse. The Rohan duck leg confit arrives succulent and tender, the meat falling off the bone after hours of slow cooking in its own fat. Paired with duck fat-sautéed potatoes, the dish offers a rich, earthy decadence, complemented by a vibrant red cabbage, beet, and red onion slaw with a dollop of crème fraîche. The interplay of textures -- crisp skin, creamy potatoes, and crunchy slaw -- creates a symphony of contrasts, while the seasoning (a hint of rosemary and thyme) underscores the duck's natural richness. It's a sophisticated yet comforting plate, one that Chef Keith was happy to make for me by special request. Thank you, Chef! The fish and chips reflect Valeria's global influences and commitment to sustainable seafood. Featuring a flaky, wild-caught fish -- haddock, as I recall -- the filets are encased in a light, golden batter that crisps beautifully without becoming greasy. The fries, house-made and twice-cooked for that perfect desiccated crunch, accompany a house-made dill tartar sauce, adding a creamy, tangy counterpoint to the fish's mild sweetness. Sourced from responsibly caught stocks, per Valeria's standards, it's a refined take on a British classic, proving that even familiar comfort food can shine with premium ingredients and careful preparation. The linguine pescatore is a seafood lover's dream, brimming with fresh shellfish and a zesty, robust tomato sauce. The clams, mussels, and shrimp are cooked perfectly (never rubbery), while the linguine arrives al dente. It's a vibrant, rustic plate that had me sweating most gloriously. On one visit, the kitchen inexplicably forgot to include the mussels, an oversight Chef Keith remedied by presenting me with a huge complimentary side dish of the aforementioned bivalves. Serendipity-doo-dah! The warm chocolate sheet cake provides a decadent finale, one that I've savored on many occasions. Served straight from the oven, this cake features a moist, fudgy center with a slightly crisp edge, its deep chocolate flavor derived from high-quality cocoa. Chopped Texas pecans add an extra depth of flavor and texture. It's a comforting yet elegant end to the meal, embodying the restaurant's ethos of quality without pretense, a sweet reminder of why Valeria stands out in Boerne's largely fetid dining landscape. Don't let its unassuming strip mall veneer fool you; this hidden gem offers an intimate atmosphere, attentive service, and a wine list that pairs beautifully with its fare. For those seeking a memorable meal in Boerne, Valeria is the best option by far.

Our friendly young male server suggested a new Portuguese beer that just came out. It comes in a 4-pack, 6.8 oz bottles with convenient pull-tabs & on a bucket of ice. We went for it! Not bitter, light bodied & easy to drink. We savored the ambiance in the outdoor patio as it FINALLY cooled down to the low 70s! We were given water in a carafe and 2 glasses. I'm sensitive to the taste of municipal tap water so I should've asked if it was filtered water? You'll have to ask for ice cubes if you want ice. Our tapas were the scallops ceviche tostadas(2 tortillas holding them) & a flatbread with Serrano jamon, sliced pears, melted brie, onions & drizzled balsamic glaze. Hubs liked it but I thought it was lukewarm & skimpy on the ham. The cheese wasn't gooey & cooled off. Was slightly gamey to me. He loved his scallop ceviche tostada. The restaurant wasn't very occupied but our server said it gets pretty packed in the evening esp. when there's live music. More people came in when we were almost finished eating. We ate outside because they must have just disinfected & mopped the floors because the inside had a super strong chemical smell. Lots of metal tables and chairs in the patio.

The lychee martini was smooth, refreshing, and extremely lychee forward. I really enjoyed how they garnished the drink with two whole lychees. I was in heaven and I can honestly say this was one of my favorite cocktails I've had in the city (Thanks for the recommendation Annabelle). Food-wise, everything felt elevated and pieced together beautifully on each plate. The truffle creamy miso soup was warm & comforting with just the right amount of depth and the Asian pear cucumber salad was perfect to cleanse the palate after the soup. The Hawaiian ono was another standout that absolutely delivered. That cilantro oil and the yuzu dance together well with the soft & silky ono. I also really enjoyed the scallop crudo, it also has cilantro oil but this time with ponzu foam. This combination was so good that I absolutely had no shame sipping the married liquid components on the plate between each bite of scallop. Lastly, the wagyu mochi gnocchi is unreal--rich, melt in your mouth mochi gnocchi, savory shrimp and tender wagyu, and this velvety sauce that's semi addicting. This surf-and-turf style dish with seafood and wagyu is where Yozora really flexes; every bite felt balanced, indulgent, and beautifully plated. (This particular evening the sauce on the mochi gnocchi was a touch spicier for me than the first time I visited but I enjoyed every last bite nonetheless). I went a little ham and didn't have room for dessert this time unfortunately. Next time Huge shoutout to my server Annabelle, who made the entire night seamless. My water never even got close to empty, her recommendations were spot on, and she somehow balanced taking care of the bar while still making her tables feel attended to. The rest of the staff even tag teamed service throughout the dining room which I always enjoy seeing. It says a lot about how well the staff and overall concept works together there. Symphony for the soul. Thank you again Annabelle and team for making the whole evening easy to enjoy and adding so much to the experience. Yozora absolutely lives up to the hype.
