We brought my vegan sister here for dinner on a Sunday. There is a small parking lot and some street-side parking across the street. We loved the prior restaurant at this location and were excited to try the new one. The building appears to be an old house. This place was such a nice find! Has outdoor seating and spacious indoors. Quaint and lovely. Service was fantastic, attentive waitress. We got a burger and couscous bowl. Burger was completed, clean plate! The shrimp on the couscous was semi raw, but it's ok. I loved the avocado, edamame and corns! Could go lighter on the dressing. Portion was great. I packed the rest to go and will just cook the shrimps more when I get home. It seems like they may have an upstairs but didn't go look. We did enjoy this place in the town. What a delicious evening from beginning to end the quality of the food was superb. The mushrooms were juicy and flavorful. The chicken bowl was definitely fulfilling and I will go back and order again. Service was excellent staff was on top of the game answered any questions we had about the menu. The crab cakes here are delicious. They paired well with the arugula salad. I chose broccolini as my side & I really enjoyed it. The tempura battered asparagus were interesting! When I walked into RIVULET on Monday afternoon I was happy to see quite A few table occupied. When my water Sterling came to me table, I asked what dishes were going to guarantee my return. He suggested several items, and we settled on the Ruby Ruben with the mushroom and coconut water soup. Both were A plus. The mushroom soup prepared by the owner Roy was the very best and unique. Ok, let's start out with the good. Very nice and helpful staff. Took our reservation and when we got there our table was waiting for us. I really like the way they decorate with an upscale feel without be too fancy for Texas diners. We did not have drinks tonight but the drink menu looked interesting. I had the Wondering Cowboy burger, my wife had the Surf and Turf burger, our other guest had the lamb and her husband and just a burger. This was our first time here since the new owners of this restaurant had taken over. Now the next part is both the waiters fault and our fault. These were wagu burgers. I have had wagu steaks but not the burger before. These come on very nice warm bums. But the bun was very greasy. I think they are cooking the burgers on a steel griddle and warming up the buns on the griddle in the fat from the wagu burger. I am just guessing here, because my burger was kind of dry because it was over cooked. That is why it was my fault for not telling them I like it medium rare. It was the waiters fault for not asking us. Honestly, I don't understand why anyone is serving or paying for wagu ground beef. There is no flavor benefit and it cost more. I prefer 80/20 Texas beef. But that's just my opinion and not a dig on the restaurant. They have a very interesting menu with other things I would like to try. Oh my French fry's were excellent! Very crispy. I even stole my wife's fry's which were the sweet potato kind and I never like those but they cook them crispy too with a slight soft center. Our gusts enjoyed their meals very much. All in all, our plates were clean. You may ask, why did I not send the burger back? Well, I rarely do that unless there is something they can fix or there was something truly inedible. This was not the case. And we had guests, not the time and place. So, give them a try, if you are like me, try one of their other many interesting choices. We absolutely love this place!! Fabulous food and sauces; the soup is always delicious and unique! Husband loves the fig crostini; fantastic cerviche special with this thin fabulous grilled bread (I forget what it's called) Tuna is fresh and seared perfectly. We've been so many times and have loved every dish we have had! Cocktails and wine selection are great! They also have outside seating with TVs!! All the staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. So far I've enjoyed our food, the devil eggs are definitely good a solid 8/10, the Pumpkin Raviolis are a great combination of sweet and savory they're a 8.2/10, the Cheesy Bacon Potato soup the waitress raved about was not my favorite, it's a 6/10 it is very savory and has a decent consistency but it needed sour cream or something to break it up a bit. The staff is fantastic and so is the over all energy of the place. Outside seating is very pleasant. It faces the river so you can watch the ducks and the other wildlife while dining. There are a lot of ceiling fans to keep you cool. They have a free parking lot so you don't have to drive around, looking for a place to park or park in the street. The food is amazing. Try the cowboy burger. It's excellent. Bourbon and fig jam wow! There are also a lot of healthy options if you feel like something lighter. The service is very friendly & attentive as well and we received our food very quickly. We had reservations for 4 at 6:15 p on New Year's Day. The server was great and the food was very good. What I did not appreciate was the flipping lights starting at 7:30 to let customers know they needed to finish their meals and head for the door because they closed at 8:00. My friends ordered a brownie dessert and it came missing 2 of the toppings. The server made some excuse, I didn't hear it, but for the price of desserts these days, I would expect the server to let the customer know BEFORE serving the item that the kitchen was missing toppings that are a feature of the dish. I did not pay the bill so I don't know if the dessert was comp'ed or not? I would try Rivulet again, but if I ever have a similar experience, I'll find another quaint spot to spend my money. read more

They were good, but not amazing--a little too thick and dry to have the full beef flavor. The sweet potato fries are sublime--wide-cut and perfectly cooked. Crispy green beans were also good. They have a good beer list and sodas made with cane sugar only, so don't look for a Coke. The parking lot is tricky, but they were doing work on an outdoor patio that looks to be terrific when done. Food was good, but they were out of the one appetizer which was the reason we decided to go there. They comped the kids meals because of that which I thought was cool. Their fryer had a gas leak and they were getting it fixed but that eliminated a chunk of items on the menu. I could look past all that as hey stuff happens. The biggest downside was the service. We kept having to get the waiters attention to get basic service. I was out of tea for so long I finally went inside and asked for a refill at the bar. In a town like Boerne, we expect at least one real smile and would appreciate more genuine interactions from a server when there are only a few full tables in the restaurant. Yeah, Great food in Boerne again. I came in on a Tuesday night after memorial Day, and needless to say it was quiet. I sat down outside on the patio and listen to what sounded like a station from the thieverey corporation. Very groovy. I had this special soup of the month. Some kind of seafood creamy soup is awesome. I had a nice dinner salad with a variety of lettuce and other yummy things. And I finished it all off with my entrée three lamb skewers. I will not take away stars away for service. The food was excellent. The waitress forgot to put in an appetizer we ordered and the food did take quite a while to come out, but it was worth the wait.
