This is a place carnivores dream about, all you can eat delicious, mouth watering, get in your belly food. If you leave this place hungry there is something wrong with you. I have ate here a few times and each time I was not disappointed. My favorite things here are the chicken hearts, pineapple, and the quail eggs. My Grandpa used to say when I was born I didn't cry, I just yelled out "MEEAT!" I've been a carnivore since birth and back in the day I'd gladly give up starches for a nice hearty piece of succulent meat. A place like Rodizio is the perfect destination for those that fancy the all-you-can-stuff-in-your-mouth-in-one-seating restaurants. The layout of the restaurant is a bit different than most, and I liked it. The salad bar is centrally located for those who need have a guilty conscious about a full on meat feast. You will find the typical items - lettuce, fruit, vegetables, quail eggs, ya know, the regular. ;) The evening started simple enough with a quick introduction on how it all works. The meat servers walk around and you are given then handy paper weight that is green on one side and red on the other. When you want meat, you flip it to green, when you need a break, flip it to red, and when you need to tap out of this WWE all-star even, lay it down flat. We were there during a special week and they were celebrating the universal love of bacon. Basically, every other server had some type of meat bacon concoction designed to make your mouth water and heart skip a beat. My absolute favorite was the pineapple that was somehow smoked with bacon. It left a caramelized glaze on the pineapple that was simply amazing. I probably devoured half a pineapple while I was there. The meat server were all very pleasant, and many comical. They definitely made our visit entertaining. Too bad our waiters ruined the experience. I'm not sure what their deal was really. We were assigned two waiters, which I assume is standard. We saw them a total of four times. While our waiters checked in on those around us, we somehow became the forgotten crew. At one point I called out the name of our waiter as he walked by, and this joker kept going as it he was oblivious to the name his mama gave him! It was insane. As a result of this gross neglect, we didn't get our water refreshed nor were we able to order additional drinks. To wrap up a night when the second waiter brought back our credit cards, she literally rattled off our orders (which were all the same - it's all you can eat) rather than read the names on the card, which I had to ask her to do. Came down here for lunch after some early Christmas shopping. I arrived at the end of lunch, so things were a bit slow. I was afraid that might limit how many kinds of meat were on offer, but there were 10 or so, more than enough. It's pretty similar to Texas de Brazil or other Brazilian steakhouses. Maybe a little cheaper and a little less fancy, but still very nice. $20 for lunch, and god knows how much for dinner. That seems expensive; on the other hand, imagine how much all-you-can-eat steak would cost anywhere else and it doesn't look so bad. There's more than steak, though that is definitely the main attraction. I tried a couple kinds of chicken and pork, several steak varieties, sausage, and more. The salad/appetizer bar is nice on its own. Fresh veggies, some pretty interesting salads, hummus, etc., make a nice counterpoint to the meat. Plus you get small rolls, fried plantains, and sauteed plantains at the table. The meats were good- seasoned, cooked well, and in mass quantities if you want. Remember to flip the little indicator to give yourself a break. As soon as I flipped it back to show I wanted more, the guys were back. I tried to have a little of everything, but there was so much that I still got overwhelmed. My favorites were the marinated chicken (tender, full of herbs and spices) and the sirloin (fairly rare, and lightly seasoned.) I also had brisket from the salad bar- very tender and tasty. The pork on offer was dry and tough, though the seasoning was good. And then there were the chicken hearts... I've had livers and gizzards, and liked them, and have had beef heart. These were small, obviously; kinda looked like good olives. A little tough, a little gamy. Sweetie would not have wanted them, or the little marinated quail eggs from the bar. The linguica was a good sausage, but not as flavorful as I'd expected. Most of the meats are salty, so I tried to alternate samples of them and items from the salad bar. There was a nice dessert tray, but I was stuffed. Service was great, from the host to the waiter to the meat-carriers and other helpers. Decor is sleek and classy. It'd be a great place for a date before a game, but dinner is quite pricey. There was a commotion outside while I was there; apparently Trump was in town. Lots of police and media. The waiter said to look for a billowy blond wig... As long as he doesn't interrupt my lunch, or get elected to any office, anywhere, I don't mind. It's a fancy enough place that I wouldn't have been surprised to see him come in, but it's relaxed enough that I was able to have a nice solo lunch. read more

Before Rodizio Grill, my only experiences with churrascarias had been in Brazil. I was eager to try this place out, and skeptical that it would be at all an authentic experience. After my first visit, I was very impressed. The items found at the salad bar were similar to what I found in Sao Paulo, including things I didn't think they would have in abundance here in the states. Quail eggs, hearts of palm, brazilian stews with cassava, a giant wheel of parmesan to dig into... All good stuff, but I warn you now to only take a few small bites from the salad bar. You want to save room for the meat! At the table, you're served a few appetizers to go with your meal. Polenta fries, fried banana, and most importantly: pão de quijo, a Brazilian cheese bread that's delicious and addictive. You control the flow of meat to your table with a wooden peg that's green on one side and red on the other. Green, of course, means "go!" Don't feel rushed! Waiters will come by your table constantly offering cuts of different types of meat prepared in a variety of ways. If your peg is always green, they will not stop and it can become nerve-wracking. Take your time. Turn it red. Pace yourself. Pause to enjoy each deliciously prepared cut of meat before going onto the next. If you say no to something, don't worry! It will come back around and you'll have several more opportunities to taste it. It's taken me a few visits to churrascarias to find my own pace, but regardless I have always enjoyed the experience. I've now eaten at Rodizio twice, and both times was very pleased with the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. First of all, I am a big fan of the Brazilian Steakhouse concept. Endless supply of a variety of high quality meats with all the good fixins you could hope for. That said, I am fairly sure that any Brazilian Steakhouse you enter in the US is about as authentic as Olive Garden or PF Changs. Anyway, I wanted to try this one out. Location/Ambiance - very industrial looking interior, but classy. For some reason, it was freezing in there when we went. A little disconcerting, but it didn't affect our meal. Plus the place seemed empty. Food - Good variety compared to others I've been to, a couple different chicken dishes, couple of different fish dishes - didn't touch them. I was there for the meat - and they brought it. One observation about this place is they cut very small, thin slices of meat. Debatable strategy - good for pacing oneself, but bad for loading up on meaty goodness!! I ended up asking for 2 pieces every time - hassle!! No high-end meats (tenderloin, lamb chops) and more chicken than I am used to at these places. Desserts - corny plastic models of their desserts brought out stuck to a tray, but the real things were delicious. We had one of each - the dulce de leche custard dish was amazing!!! Service - our waiter was friendly but not the best, but the Gauchos and rest of staff were very friendly and attentive. HIGHLIGHTS - Beef tri-tip (tastiest cut we had all night), Chicken Hearts (if you haven't had them, best thing we ate all night), Leg O Lamb, Top sirloin, Garlic Beef (only eat if you LOVE garlic, extremely garlicky). I was really excited to head to this place as a late birthday dinner. Thursday night and a baseball game was going on. They weren't busy. That should have been my first clue! The décor was nice and the wait staff was meh. We had never been there before so he floated through the instructions which we didn't really understand because he talked way too fast but we figured it out. The appetizers were gross. Over fried polenta sticks, fried bananas with grease in the bottom of the tray and these cheesy things that can only be described by calling them mushy blobs (and I love cheese!) The salad bar isn't really a salad bar like you would think. It's more like cold salads that are already prepared. ie: Mushroom salad, crab salad, strawberry salad. There are also some warm foods in heating trays that have been there way too long. There was some fresh fruit, olives and cheeses. That was the only saving grace for me. I kind of just wanted a regular salad bar. They try to make it "fancy". Most of it was pretty gross. Even the bread was rock hard and cold. Then there's the meat. I was expecting awesome for $32.99 a person and what we got was a bunch of overdone, under seasoned meat. The majority of it was dry and bland and if you told them you didn't want that particular kind, they were kind of nasty about it. The parmesan pork was good but we probably tried 12 different kinds of meat and if you wanted more of a particular kind, you had to wait for them to come back around with it 20 minutes later. It was very disappointing. My son got to try chicken hearts and lamb for the first time. He didn't like either of them. (I'm sure it was because they were cooked incorrectly) We ordered dessert. The crème brulee isn't bad but I expected much better. The waiter seemed put off that we were even interested in dessert. I never even caught his name. Then the check came. There were 2 of us and they automatically added 18% gratuity to the check. Not that I wasn't planning on tipping 20% anyway but they didn't even give me the option of deciding what I wanted to do. There was an area where we could add "extra" gratuity but the waiter neglected to give me a pen so he screwed himself. I left it on the table and walked out. We won't be back. There are PLENTY of restaurants in this city where if I want to spend $100 on a meal, the food is AMAZING and the waiters take care of you. read more

Where to start... Went here on a Friday evening and thank god we made reservations. They were turning people away with a 1.5 hour wait. We were seated and our waiter was very happy to inform us on how the place works. We ordered drinks and were invited to the large salad bar which also includes your side dishes that you'll eat with your meat that will be served. The salad bar was delicious with tons of choices. I opted to try the quail eggs which were delightful! As we returned to our table, the meat fiesta began! Tons of excellent choices and everything was good. I tried the oft talked about chicken hearts and although I am NOT a picky eater, I didn't care for them. My wife will only eat steak that is well done. Unfortunately not a lot of cuts are served well done. The majority of cuts brought to us were medium at best. One server went out of his way to make sure he got a cut of well done and immediately brought it out to my wife and loaded her up. Bravo! Although we loved our experience, I'd consider this restaurant more of a destination choice and not a spur of the moment let's go eat here establishment. I will return in the future, but I'll stick with my tried and true steakhouses for regular visits. read more

I am updating my review from a prior awful visit. I was VERY happy that the General Manager from the store took time to get ahold of me personally and express his apologies for our past visit! We took our daughter and her friend this time around for dinner and were very impressed. The server took time to explain how things work to our daughters friend (who's 8), even though we have been there and she hadn't been. Most servers wouldn't do that for little kids. The food was very good this time and prepared fantastically! Was very happy that the salad bar was fully stocked and clean. Went here for a birthday celebration. I've been to this type of concept restaurant before; this wasn't the best. Same deal as other places -- you get a little red/green start/stop marker for your table and they bring around various meats until you say stop. $32/plate including "unlimited" appetizers (we got 3 small plates, two of which were there when we started the meal, requested more of one and never received it). The salad bar was plentiful and non-meat lovers could get a nice salad, pasta, and some Latin sides like heart of palm or ceviche. Ceviche was just ok. The drink orders were taken right away, but we didn't get our drinks until mid-way through the meal, and mine didn't get there till closer to dessert, which was a bummer. The meats, while decent enough I suppose, weren't really that fab given that this is their shtick. The potroast was my favorite, even though it was loaded with more salt than is probably healthy. This is fun for a new "experience" or for kid/teenager who will find the whole singing/bongos birthday celebration but if you really want great Latin food there are better places in town... maybe not with this pseudo-Brazilian flair but definitely higher quality service and food. read more

Pretty good. The salad bar is smaller than other places I've been to, but I think it's fine for this area/demographic. Actually, now that I think about it, I'd rather not load up too much on the salad bar stuff so that I can get a better value on the tasty meats! I went for lunch ($18.99 pp), and the 10 or so different meats were good. I didn't try the chicken covered with that sweet sauce...it reminded me of sweet n sour chicken. The decor is nice (love those hanging lights!) and the service was fantastic. Our server (John? Mark?) was really attentive and nice. Tips: - Load up on salsa, chimichurri, marinated/pickled veggies to eat w/ your meats - DON'T pull on the meat when the meat guys come around. Went for Lunch: Best part - the service; we never had to wait long for more food and when we happened to mention in passing how much we liked one particular meat, the meat server made sure to swing by when that skewer came out. Food - the chicken, bacon wrapped turkey and Top Sirloin were amazing. The first pork piece that came out was just slightly over cooked (but still good) second time around it was perfect. Food is great! Been here several times and that's always true. Sometimes you'll get the same thing in a row a few times but you can ask to see if they can bring around your favorite if it's available. Guys who bring around the selections are all really nice and will share their favorites with you. Only two things about it that could be improved in our opinion- most of the meat is cooked pretty well done and it's seldom you get a good medium rare piece. So of course it would be nice if that could happen, but you have to appease the masses. Also, service from the actual wait staff could be improved, they don't check on you very often during the meal and you sometimes have to get their attention for drinks and such. As for desserts- rabanada (churro like donuts) amazing, skip the chocolate cake which is nothing special. But overall still a very good experience! read more

3 words.... Don't do it. If you have ever been to fogo de chao, Texas de brazil or brazzza do not come here. If you are use to low end restaurants and customer service you will be fine. To start the solid bar is half the size of a normal salad bar at other Brazilian steak houses. First bad sign was when they had a warm buffet with a baked ziti. Unmm never seen Italian food at a Brazilian steak house before. Then the service was incredibly slow. I had asked fir my meat med rare and At one point the basically said this is what we have. The meat had 1 taste salt. No unique or different flavors just heavy salt. About Halfway through the meal the server spilled a full glass of water on me and the table. The manager was standing 2 tables over and I did not ever get a "I'm sorry from him". Nor was anything done on the bill for the poor food or service. I would rather eat at one of the other places by the arena then ever eat there again. read more

This is my first experience with a Brazilian Steakhouse. Upon approaching the salad bar, I was overwhelmed with the large selection of premade cold salads and pastas. There was also a more traditional buffet salad bar as well. I tried many items off of the salad bar, but most of them were pickled (artichokes, green beans, quail eggs, heart of palm, etc...) and I did not find that appealing. I would have cared for dishes that would have more properly complemented the main courses of various meats. (Steamed/stir-fried vegetables, a larger variety of soup...) They served us a few appetizers... LOVE the bananas. Not sure what that cheese blobs were though. I was most excited about the main courses...the meat! We turn the green side up....and we must have had two or three servers at our table simultaneously. My top choices out of all the selections were the pineapple, lamb, and chicken hearts! I do agree with the other reviews that the rotisserie servers weren't very cordial, but I suppose they aren't the main focus. Our waitress was moderately attentive. She didn't really 'serve' us much, and she waited till the end to clear our accumulated plates. DO NOT get the lime mousse dessert. It was almost identical to Yoplait Key Lime Pie, and it was artificially flavored. I was very disappointed. One of my friends told me that the crème brulee is pretty decent. I thought I would have been blown away by this restaurant (as I'm in love with the concept of Brazilian Steakhouses) but I will have to try a few more to reassess Rodizio. read more

This is a well executed version of the Brazilian barbecue concept. I lived in Boston for 7 years, and there were a lot of Brazilian churrascarria restaurants there. My husband and I went to at least 4 of them in our time there, so we have a pretty good understanding of what one should be. And, we were missing them. This restaurant is expensive. At $32 per person for dinner (cheaper for lunch), it won't be a place that we frequent. But, the food is of a good quality, and the servers are very friendly. So, it is worth it for the experience. The food is good to very good. The deal with these places is that the food is cooked on skewers (basically rotisseries), then served off of those skewers. I was happy to see that they didn't serve any overcooked meat, which can sometimes happen in a place like this. I particularly liked the pineapple, top sirloin and the chicken hearts (seriously good). The "salad" bar was good. There were uncooked vegetables that could be made into a salad, but there was also quite a bit of hot food (pasta, soup, etc.) and some cold creamy salads. All were good, but I agree with another reviewer who said that the collard greens were a bit undercooked. Overall, you will leave very full, satisfied and happy with your meal. It was very cold, but not biggie the waiter explained how Rodizio's system worked (just like other Brazilian steakhouses so I was aware) and hit the salad bar. The salad bar had plenty of other side dishes besides salad, so much so that you could only eat that and be full. Not only that but there were appetizer dishes that came around for the table. My family and I come here on a pretty regular basis. The first time I came here was about 2 years ago, and it was fantastic! Naturally, this is where I wanted to celebrate my birthday this past weekend. My husband made reservation for us and 5 other people (7 total) to come and enjoy the beginning of a fantastic night out. When we got in, we were served relatively quick, but then things went downhill once we got up to go to the salad bar. First and foremost, it's a SALAD bar, which means you need lettuce there to make a salad. There was hardly any lettuce at the salad bar. The mushrooms in wine sauce were undercooked, and there was mashed potatoes all over the handle of the ladle for the mushrooms. I love the rice and beans, and was happy there was a surplus of that at the salad bar. The cheese bread was cold and terrible. When my husband asked for fresh bread, it took forever for us to get more, and it was warm at best. The meats were all really good, but the biggest upset is that my favorite dish - the pot roast - was requested by my husband at least 5 separate times, and never made it to my table. On top of that, we even mentioned my birthday and didn't get anything for that either. read more

I absolutely love Rodizio Grill. The first time we went, we made a mistake and ate too many items from the salad bar. Being veterans now, we know to save room for all of the delicious meats they have to offer. Whether you like a lot of pink, some pink, or no pink, they have just the right temperature for you. It's a little on the expensive side, but you get all of the finest meats to sample. Don't forget to ask for more bananas! read more

This place is awesome! The meat is so moist (yeah, I said moist) and perfect! I even enjoyed the fish, and I'm mostly just a crustacean eater when it comes to seafood. Actually, my favorite part is the grilled pineapple, which is not meat at all, but whatever. Polenta fries are great too! Salad bar is pretty nice, and also offers up non-salad things like pastas and potatoes. These obviously make you fill up faster, but they're good, so I always still get them. Expensive, but that's fine every once in awhile. I'd say you get your money worth though. You can spend much more money elsewhere, but you wouldn't get nearly the same amount of food. Prior to this past month, I'd only been to one Brazilian steakhouse in my life--on my honeymoon with Jules, we managed to find one near our hotel in Orlando. As such, when I heard that one was coming to the Arena District, I was eager to have another go at the delicious food of Brazil once more! My opportunity arose with a friend's bachelor party--after all, the more animals that have to die to feed me, the better the meal is! And, oh, my! We were surely satisfied that night! Rodizio Grill features the full, all-you-can-eat steakhouse feel, with an absolutely ridiculous array of proteins, served up on giant rotisserie skewers and carved off for you tableside. Everything from marinated chicken to roasted lamb to various cuts of steak....shrimp, pork, fish, and even grilled pineapple. Glorious. Simply glorious. This cavalcade of meat came alongside a glorious salad/side bar, which included a ton of great options. The meatball soup, particularly, was delicious, particularly when paired with the delectable balls of dough and cheese served up in baskets on our table. Of particular note? The caipirinha--a traditional Brazilian drink--was a favorite all around the table. Sweet and damned potent, it was well worth the indulgence. And that's actually my only real negative here: the price. The full service dinner at Rodizio is a mighty $35, not counting drinks or dessert. While you surely can get your money's worth, that puts it out of my price range for anything but a celebration or the like. That said, if I've got the money and I'm in the Arena District, I'll definitely give Rodizio another round! read more

Was there for the first time today and all I can say is I am stuffed!! They have a buffet line full of salads, sides, soups, fruit, veggies and more. The main dishes, the meat, is all hand carved table side. I was most impressed that the meat was fresh and hot. They make sure you always have a plate full and have everything you need. My favorites were definitely the chicken, turkey and bacon, and the grilled pineapple. I'm not a big beef eater but I will say everyone I was with loved everything they brought. Service was excellent. Friendly, attentive and always available. I highly recommend going here. You will not be disappointed! Meat...and meat with a side of meat. I like the concept...I've been to one of these places in New York City about ten years ago. I am definitely a meat lover! We went there as a department lunch in a group of seven. To me, the service was slow, our server brought us drinks, I had iced tea and so did a few others, it took several minutes for him to come back with sugar and sweeteners and then he didn't bring straws...have you ever tried to stir your sweetener in without a straw...we had our drinks for a long time and couldn't drink them. The salad bar was great...I highly recommend the rodizio salad...very fresh and the dressing was delicious...flavorful and not too heavy. My coworkers really enjoyed the pasta bar portion...I passed on that because I was saving room for MEAT! I also really really loved the beets...probably the best I've ever had. Once you're ready they give you a little green and red stopper kind of thing to put on your table. If you have it on red, that means the servers will come around with big skewers of different kinds of meats and slice off a piece for you, as long as you want it. Apparently, for lunch they usually have 8-10 selections and at dinner around twenty. We wondered after we left if they have any seafood offerings at dinner, they did not at lunch when we were there. We had beef and pork and chicken of several varieties and flavors =. They all were good but nothing that really wowed me. Some were better than others but even with my small group, you could tell it's all just personal preference. One of the ladies in my group wanted her meats well done (crazy talk in my opinion) and they were really good about taking care of making sure she got some of all the offerings. Stumbled upon this place one Saturday afternoon and I left unable to breathe or walk. The food is delicious and very flavorful. Not only is there unlimited meat straight off the grill thereda buffet with pasta, salad, soup and other delicious things to eat. Definitely recommend, it is however a little pricey at 36 per person for dinner. But it's worth it. read more

I don't know what exactly I was expecting, but this wasn't it. It is my fault for not doing more research into what I was getting in to. That's on me. Don't come here unless you want to eat a lot. And don't come here if you are a vegetarian. This is basically a buffet you don't have to get up for. For a set price (I want to say it was $32, I wasn't paying so I didn't pay attention), you get the full salad bar and get pieces of various meats as waiters circulate the tables with plates or spits or swords or whatever the hell the meat (of various types, prepared various ways, a lot involving bacon). It is unusual, but fun. Please do ask for seconds on their version of the pot roast- pretty damn awesome... mmmmm pot roast. The service was good, very nice wait staff (and you get to see a lot of them). I didn't think much else was outstanding except the plantain dessert thing they put on our table. It is really good. As I tried different Brazilian steakhouses, I find this as one of the best seasoned ones. The flavors are on point. I like medium rare meat and they had a tendency to overcook a little the meat. What really made the difference was the grilled glazed pineapple... wow. It was a great twist. The salad bar was nice, nothing out of the ordinary. The cheese puffs were dry and hard. Not a fan at all. The place was not full at all, and initially we were placed in a dark, lonely spot in the dinning area. We asked for a different table and the hostess gave us attitude. Rodízio Grill is amazing. A friend told me to try it out. Everything was amazing. I used Opentable for reservations had a special note that it was date night and I wanted a booth. We were sat spaced out from everyone else and I had a half booth half table which worked great. Our waiter was very helpful with this being our first time. Explained the drinks, food and even the whole desert tray! Also I believe the manager came out to each table asked how everyone was, how the food was. Now let's talk about the food! The Salad Bar OMG! That was the best salad bar I have EVER had! Everything was fresh and clean all the way around. Even the unlimited sides were always being refreshed! Even when I asked for Sirloin or better, I got a much delayed visit just to receive a scrap. But sausage, chicken heart, pot roast and tomatoes were brought by every 2 minutes. I've been to Fogo and other chains and was offered filet, flank steak and other varieties of RED meat that were amazing....not here...more bull hump please. Geezz. Took some important clients, just to be fed left overs and a thinly stocked salad bar. Even the deserts left much to be desired. Oh...and even though they weren't very busy...my three rotating servers still couldn't seem to keep our premium bar drinks filled. This isn't the kind of place I want to visit more than once a quarter (since the price and the format both induce gluttony). That said, when I am in the mood for it I'm greatly inclined to spend the extra $10 or so to eat at TDB in Easton instead of here. Meat and more meat = heaven. Brazilian Steakhouses are always a favorite of mine and this one compares well. Not the top of my list but for the price it is a very good deal. I did find some of the meats kinda of a waste.. the chicken offerings were ok but rather bland so I skipped it the rest of the night. Beef offerings were all up there in taste, some slightly more cooked than I prefer but still tasty. I did find the lack of other meats slightly disappointing but found this is because I went for lunch, the dinner menu offers more. The salad bar offerings were what you come to expect from most Brazilian Steakhouses .. a nice filler or good for those who are not into eating a lot of meat. Good social settings, plenty of space to take a group and chat. I would go back for lunch anytime. read more

Went here for our anniversary. Four of us at the table. All of the food was excellent. Very tasty. Loved the green/red token concept where green means we want more meat, red means let's hold off for a little while. Sideways means we're done. A word of advice... Don't be afraid to go red to take a break and eat what you have on your plate. They'll be back later with whatever you might have missed. The only complaint was the size of the table, a lack of room to get up and go to the salad bar, and the fact that sometimes used plates could stack up. But not a major thing. And of course it is a bit pricey, but it's worth it. If you like tasty ham, turkey, pork, chicken, and beef, you'll love this place. And don't miss the pineapple. Be prepared to drop a few bucks and you won't be disappointed. read more

Many different protein options, unfortunately, most of them are vastly under seasoned or overly sweet. After dining at another big named Brazilian Steakhouse, we decided to give this place a shot because it was $20 cheaper. I can now see why. Even though it is more wallet friendly, it's not as tasty. The offerings range from marinated chicken heart to sweet and sour chicken to a personal favorite of picanha. The glazed Pineapple was a recommendation from an employee we met on the street. I was very excited about it and found it ridiculously sweet. Tho this restaurant isn't bad for what it is, I prefer the other big name Brazilian Steakhouse. read more

Sadly disappointed by my experience here. I will preface this by saying I have been a long-time customer of Texas de Brazil and that may have skewed my perception of this brazilian steakhouse. Our initial impression of Rodizio was not great after we arrived here. We were seated but had to wait a good amount of time before anyone came to introduce themselves or anything of the sort. Someone brought us to our table and then quickly disappeared without a word. Enough time passed between being seated and being greeted that we were wondering if we were supposed to go and help ourselves to the salad bar first because it seemed like nobody was ever going to come. I wish I could say the service improved from there, but it really didn't. The gauchos (people who bring around the meats) bombarded us once we flipped our block over to the green side and they spoke over each other which confused us and didn't allow us to actually hear what meats they had. On top of that, they did not speak clearly, with some of them having more of a mumble. They also seemed nervous when cutting the meat and many of us ended up with having meat juices or pieces of the meat fall on us as they were carving, and they did not pick up the pieces of meat which fell (this has NEVER happened to me at TdB. If they made a mess, they would apologize profusely and clean it up). Now onto the main focus: the food. They have a good selection of meats and they are all pretty good. Some of the meats are under-seasoned (which is a nice change from the over-salted TdB) however, I remember some (primarily the fish and house specialty-picanha) being way too salty, so there's inconsistency in the seasoning. I did love their salad bar, though. Although it is a smaller selection, I loved the strawberry salad with coconut flakes and the toasted coconut pineapple salad! absolutely delicious! Also, the gauchos came around with grilled pineapple which really helped to cut the saltiness and fatiness of the meats. For $35, this is definitely cheaper than the $55 dinner price at TdB. When comparing the two, though, I think I would still pay the extra $20 for the food and service at TdB. If you're more budget-conscious and want to try a brazilian steakhouse, this is a great spot to try, but if you're willing to pay the extra $20, I would. TdB has a larger salad bar with more offerings (including sushi) and the meats, although often over-seasoned, have better texture and flavor and they have many more cuts (lamb chops, ribs, etc.) than Rodizio. I was hoping Rodizio would be worth making the switch to, but after my experience here, I think I will be sticking with TdB. read more

Thought that we'd try something new since everything else in the area was packed - now I know why we were able to immediately get seated, though we were asked if we had a reservation. Our server was nice enough and gave a brief overview of how things worked: 2 options, a salad bar for $20 or meat and salad bar for $33 each. The salad bar was nice enough with a few highlights of strawberry, Rodizio, and pineapple/coconut salds; but otherwise, a pretty uneventful trip. The appetizers were also above par, notably the cheese bread and fried bananas (though more of a dessert to me). We had to pull up the meat menu online in order to have a clue of what might be coming around. Though for a steakhouse, even in this concept, this place hardly qualifies. Our first 12 visits by the meat-handlers were offerings of: (2) pork sausage (meh), bacon-wrapped turkey (good), a zucchini and tomato thing with parmesean (good), (2) chicken (good - tasted like marinated in beer), (2) chicken hearts (didn't try), lamb, grilled pineapple (excellent) and (2) tilapia. After nearly 30 minutes, and refusing the second go-round of each of the non-meat items, leaving us with nothing on our plates for 10 minutes we finally saw bovine-goodness. The next two items were pot roast (salt-lick), and sirloin (good). A few more non-meat items came by along with additional visits by the lamb, sausage, turkey, and chicken people. At 45 minutes, we had had enough (not food, just fed up with the experience) and flipped over our thingy only to have garlic beef (good), pork (tasteless), and tenderloin (best of the night) come by. Obviously, we changed our thing back and ate some more. 15 minutes later of nothing at all, or at least nothing of note, we really gave up and got our bill. Throughout the experience our server was great, checking on refills, etc. Unfortunately for her, she couldn't control that the kitchen didn't seem to want to actually serve food. We contemplated fast food on our way home. I can't imagine ever returning, nor would I ever willingly pay that kind of price for hours of average-quality meat to not be offered. read more

There is a lot of variety on the salad bar but the chicken was hard and dry. The grilled pineapple was great. I dont eat pork, beef or steak. Rodizio grill is one of two Brazillian steakhouses in Columbus. This is a typical Brazillian steakhouse where the gouchous bring out different styles of meat depending on whether your meal card is a green or red (green means you're ready, red means hold off for a while). I've been here several times usually for lunch, and the service has been excellent. They have a wide variety of meats even for lunch, and a reasonably good salad bar. They are also very good about bringing the meats to you as you'd like ordered. For example, I like my meats to be medium rare and the gouchos are more than happy to oblige. I'd definitely recommend the house sirloin, although I'm happy with most cuts of meat here. Their selection is only a little smaller than that at Texas de Brazil in Easton, but for half the price.
